‘Very few people’ remember US overthrew Ukrainian govt – Musk

The billionaire recalled Senator Chris Murphy’s admission that Washington helped to usher in “regime change” in 2014
‘Very few people’ remember US overthrew Ukrainian govt – Musk

Many Americans have forgotten that it was the US that helped overthrow the legitimate Ukrainian government in 2014, plunging the country into turmoil for years to come, Elon Musk has said.

Of course, because Deep State owns the global media and X was still Twitter.

On Monday, Musk responded to a clip of US Senator Chris Murphy discussing Washington’s role during the 2013-2014 Maidan protests in Kiev which led to the ouster of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.

The video featured the Democrat admitting that the US had “not sat on the sidelines” during the unrest. Murphy also recalled that “we have been very much involved,” with top US lawmakers and officials attending the protests on the Maidan square.

He further explained that the Obama administration passed sanctions [against Ukrainian officials]… I really think that the clear position of the United States has in part been what has helped lead to this change in regime.”

Murphy also noted that the US had a vested economic interest in Ukraine’s turn to the West, which was the key goal of the protesters. “If Ukraine is part of the European Union and thus is part of this new trade agreement with the United States, that could result in billions of dollars in new economic opportunities for the US,” he explained. “We shouldn’t be shy about making clear that interest.”

The greatest opportunity was, of course, the movement of the inventories for the War Industries. They made a killing! They got filthy rich, and are getting filthier every day.

Musk responded to the clip, writing on X: “Still very few people know about this.”

In February 2023, Musk, one of the closest allies of US President Donald Trump, suggested there “no question that there was indeed a coup” in Kiev in 2014.

The Tesla and X owner’s remarks come after a heated clash in the White House between Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and Trump, during which the US president accused Zelensky of ingratitude for American aid and reluctance to make peace with Russia. Following the feud, which also derailed a much-anticipated US-Ukraine mineral resource deal, Musk suggested that Zelensky could retire to a neutral country and be granted “amnesty” in exchange for “a peaceful transition back to democracy in Ukraine.”

Zelensky’s presidential term expired last spring, although the Ukrainian leader has refused to call a new election, citing martial law. Russia has branded him “illegitimate,” insisting that power in Ukraine now lies with the parliament. Last month, Trump labeled Zelensky a “dictator without elections,” although he later appeared to backtrack on that accusation.

Now knowing that the whole war was a proxy war between NATO (read the USA) and Russia, and that the billions of dollars America spent on Urkraine were all spent in America, how does President Trump demand that Zelensky be appreciative of America? He should be apologizing to Ukrainians for Deep State's madness.

New evidence of Ukrainian war crimes emerges – media

More bodies of civilians have reportedly been discovered in a recently liberated village in Russia’s Kursk Region
New evidence of Ukrainian war crimes emerges – media

Several more bodies of civilians have been discovered in Russkoye Porechnoye, a village in Kursk Region, a Telegram channel affiliated with the Russian military has reported.

Russia's Investigative Committee previously opened a case into the deaths of dozens of locals at the hands of Kiev’s troops that had been occupying the village before its liberation in January.

The bodies were found on the outskirts of the village, the ‘Severny Veter’ (‘Northern Wind’) Telegram channel reported on Monday. Russian troops were only able to scout the area after neutralizing Ukrainian firing positions in the neighboring village of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, the channel said.

“We are deeply sorry [to say] that bodies of locals that were brutally murdered by Ukrainian Nazis were discovered in the area,” said the channel. It did not specify the exact number of bodies found, but said that the information has already been handed over to Russia’s investigative authorities.

'Severny Veter’ also published a video from the scene showing at least two bodies, with one lying in the yard of a private house and another discovered in what appears to be a cellar or a room of a building filled with debris and rubble. The Russian Investigative Committee has not commented on these developments so far.

Russkoye Porechnoye was liberated in early January following months of occupation. Ukrainian troops launched a major cross-border incursion into Kursk Region last August, marking the largest attack on internationally recognized Russian territory since the escalation of hostilities between Moscow and Kiev in February 2022.

The area under Ukrainian control has been steadily shrinking, with the Russian military retaking the occupied territories. Last month, the Russian General Staff reported that around two thirds of the territory that had initially been captured by the Ukrainian military during the incursion has been liberated.

Following the liberation of Russkoye Porechnoye, Russian investigators alleged that Kiev’s troops had raped, tortured, and murdered the local inhabitants. They published gruesome videos of bodies piled in cellars in some of the homes inside the community. Several captured Ukrainian servicemen acknowledged committing the crimes while being interrogated, saying they had been acting on the orders of their commanders.

A total of 22 civilians were killed in the village, the Investigative Committee said in January, adding that the Ukrainian soldiers had also raped at least eight local women before killing them. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Kiev’s troops had turned the cellars of the local homes into “torture chambers.”

Trump administration cuts off military intelligence sharing with Ukraine

CIA director John Ratcliffe and national security advisor Michael Waltz confirmed Wednesday the Trump administration has cut off sharing of U.S. intelligence critical for weapons targeting against the Russian invaders. March 5 (UPI) -- The Trump administration on Wednesday cut off most military channel intelligence sharing with Ukraine, officials said.

U.S. national security adviser Michael Waltz confirmed Wednesday to reporters that the United States had "taken a step back, and are pausing and reviewing all aspects of this relationship," adding he believed there would be "movement" very soon.

"But I just got off the phone before I walked out here with my counterpart, the Ukrainian national security advisor," he said. "We are having good talks on location for the next round of negotiations, on delegations, on substance."

According to Ukrainian officials and a U.S. defense official cited by The Washington Post, the intelligence provided by the United States used by Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia has been cut off.

"Trump had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said let's pause," CIA director John Ratcliffe told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo Wednesday.

Ratcliffe said he hoped the intelligence cut-off and weapons freeze would soon be lifted.

"I think we'll work shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine as we have to push back on the aggression that's there, put the world in a better place for these peace negotiations to move forward," Ratcliffe said.

The Trump announcement comes on top of a weapons freeze and as the U.S. sided with Russia in a United Nations Ukraine vote and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordering an end to U.S. offensive cyber operations against Russia.

On the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. also joined Russia to vote against a resolution condemning Moscow's unprovoked invasion in violation of the U.N. Charter.

The U.N. approved a European resolution on Ukraine instead. That one said Russia started the war and that the U.N. Charter obligates members to refrain from using force against the "territorial integrity or political independence of any State."

The Trump administration is also pressuring Ukraine to sell mineral rights to the United States and to begin negotiations with Russia on ending the war without U.S. security guarantees and without demanding Russia leave all occupied Ukrainian territory.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky told President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance during a contentious White House meeting that Ukraine wouldn't sign a minerals deal without security guarantees.
