Germany: Knife-wielding Afghan Muslim migrant forces train evacuation
Good thing the Germans rejected the anti-mass Muslim migration party, eh?
ICE train to Berlin evacuated due to threat situation
translated from “ICE nach Berlin wegen Bedrohungslage geräumt,” by Sascha Wimmer, BZ-Berlin, March 11, 2025 (thanks to Medforth):
Shock for passengers on an ICE train: The train was stopped in Gifhorn (Lower Saxony) and subsequently evacuated. The reason: An Afghan man had triggered a threat situation!
In the Lower Saxony district town of Gifhorn (population 43,000), Deutsche Bahn made an unscheduled stop and subsequently evacuated an ICE train on Tuesday morning at around 9:40 a.m.
The reason: A 44-year-old Afghan man triggered a threat situation on the ICE 541 train traveling from Cologne to Berlin.
According to a police spokesperson, the man allegedly threatened train crew with a knife and another dangerous object during the journey.
Man arrestedThe 44-year-old was arrested by police officers during the stop in Gifhorn. “The man was taken into custody by the first responders,” said a spokesperson for the Hanover Federal Police.Due to the dangerous object that may still be on board, the ICE train was evacuated. The 340 passengers were escorted by police officers to the station forecourt and then continued on to Wolfsburg by various public transport options.
Federal police officers who arrived, including two dog handlers with a police dog, searched the train at Gifhorn station and shortly thereafter gave the all-clear. Initially, no information was available on possible injuries or the number of passengers affected.
The Afghan was already noticed on Tuesday morning.
The arrested man is no stranger: Just earlier that morning, the Afghan man had insulted the staff of another train at Hanover Central Station and threatened them with violence because they refused to allow a bicycle on the ICE train. Federal police subsequently initiated criminal proceedings for insult and threat.
Denmark: ‘Men of Middle Eastern appearance’ attack, spit on Jewish woman, call her ‘Jewish whore’
The police have already surrendered the area: “When I finally got through to the police, the policeman didn’t ask if I was okay. Instead, he asked me why I was carrying an Israeli flag in an area like Christiania.”
Jewish woman attacked in Christiania, Copenhagen
translated from “Jødisk kvinde overfaldet på Christiania,”
by Jotam Confino, B.T., March 11, 2025 (thanks to Y.):
“Child murderer. No one will help you here.” That’s what it sounded like on Friday afternoon when a group of men attacked a Jewish woman in Christiania.
B.T. has spoken to the 39-year-old woman, who says that she drove through Christiania on Friday afternoon on her electric scooter with an Israeli flag on her back.
When she stopped in front of ‘Grøntsagen’ – a small greengrocer located a stone’s throw from Café Nemoland – a man dressed in black and a cap appeared and confronted her.
According to the woman, he asked her if she was Jewish, to which she answered yes.
“Are you proud of it?” he continued, according to the woman. When the woman again answered yes, the man spat on her and called her a child murderer, she says.
She then decided to immediately call the police, but in the meantime another man appeared and demanded that she throw away her “damned” Israeli flag.
“Before I could even get an answer from the police, things escalated further,” the woman says.
“Suddenly a group of men rushed towards me. A strong man with Middle Eastern appearance shouted at me to take off the flag immediately,” says the woman, who for her safety will not share her name with the public. B.T. is aware of her identity.
When the woman said she couldn’t take her flag off her back, the men started to tear it off, while one shouted that they needed a knife to cut it off.
“There were at least 50 people watching, and when I screamed for help, one of the men smiled mockingly and said, ‘Nobody will help you here.’ Then he grabbed me by the throat and started to choke me with his hands,” the woman says.
“One of them pulled the flag over my head so I couldn’t see what was happening. I kept shouting for help, but no one intervened. Then they started to drag me off the asphalt.”
One of the men finally grabbed a knife and cut her jacket, which, according to the woman, made them burst out laughing.
After the woman got to her feet, she called the police again:
“A group of men of Middle Eastern appearance surrounded me and taunted me while I was crying, calling me a Jewish whore,” she says.
“When I finally got through to the police, the policeman didn’t ask if I was okay. Instead, he asked me why I was carrying an Israeli flag in an area like Christiania. I felt completely abandoned. I had to beg and convince him that I was in extreme danger. Finally, he agreed to send two female officers,” she says.
Eventually, the two female officers showed up. The woman says that the two officers were very helpful and tried to protect her from the group of people who were pursuing her. But even while the police were there, people continued to mock the woman and laugh at her.
“I always wear the flag. I am not ashamed to stand up for our people,” the woman says when B.T. asks about the Israeli flag.
Copenhagen Police confirms to B.T. that they received a report late Friday afternoon that a woman carrying an Israeli flag had been assaulted in Christiania. The police then sent a patrol there and the case is now being investigated.
“We strive for all citizens to feel well treated by the police, so I am sorry that the victim in this case did not feel that she was taken seriously when she called us. If you do not feel properly treated by the police, you have the opportunity to complain to the Independent Police Complaints Authority. This ensures that an impartial body can assess the case,” Deputy Police Inspector Carsten Spliid, head of the Copenhagen Police’s emergency center, told B.T.
The woman has since been to the emergency room to have her injuries checked. B.T. has seen the note from the emergency room, which, among other things, describes that the woman had pain in her neck with ‘two red spots around the edge of her skull’ and ‘several scratches and hematomas on her body’.
B.T. has requested video surveillance from the area where the assault took place, but the police say they are unable to provide any surveillance material, as it is part of the investigation.
Once a Christian community, Christiana was taken over by hippies in the 1960's and '70's. But appears now to be a Muslim-dominated area on the verge of becoming a no-go zone.
Paris police evacuate hundreds of migrants from theatre after months-long occupation
Police forced their way into a 19th-century theatre in Paris on Tuesday morning, with the aim of evacuating hundreds of young migrants that have been occupying the venue for months. Demonstrators and migrants chanted slogans such as "we are all the children of migrants" as the police broke the cordons formed by activists.
Police on Tuesday evacuated hundreds of young migrants from a central Paris theatre they had occupied for months, AFP journalists said.
Police charged at the migrants, who had found shelter in the historic Gaite Lyrique venue, with batons as many people gathered outside to protest against the eviction, they said.
Shortly before 6am local time (5am GMT), members of the anti-riot CRS police forced their way through cordons that activists had formed to prevent them from entering the venue.
But in chaotic and turbulent scenes police forced their way into the 19th-century theatre, which is famous for performances of opera, operetta and ballet and which had cancelled all performances during the three-month occupation by migrants demanding food and shelter.
Many are underage and asked to be treated as such in their immigration process.
AFP reporters saw some migrants leaving the building carrying personal belongings, with several suitcases and bags left abandoned on the pavement.
Danielle Simonnet, a leftist lawmaker on site to protest against the police action, called it "extremely violent", telling AFP that officers had "hit and beaten" the migrants, who she said were behaving "peacefully".
Demonstrators and migrants chanted slogans such as "we are all the children of migrants" as they were surrounded by police in riot gear.
The eviction came a day after Paris police prefect Laurent Nunez gave the order to clear the building, occupied by up to 450 migrants, mostly from sub-Saharan Africa.
Nunez called the occupation of the theatre a threat to "public order". He promised that the young migrants would be offered shelter, and that their legal situation would be looked at.
Agents working for the Paris region's emergency shelter services were on site and talking to migrants, an AFP reporter said.
"I need to go to class at 10am today," said Adama, who said he was 15 and from Ivory Coast. "I don't know what to tell my teacher. I need to leave a message saying that I won't make it."
He added: "We haven't killed anybody, we don't steal. We came here to become integrated."
The occupation of the Gaite Lyrique began on December 10, 2024, with around 200 young migrants.
The theatre cancelled all planned performances a week later, saying it condemned the occupation but also "the inaction by authorities".
The following months became an illustration of a standoff between left-wing activists fighting for migrant rights, and the far right calling for their expulsion.
