Syrian man arrested in Apeldoorn on terrorism charges
A 20-year-old Syrian man residing in Rotterdam was arrested on March 7 in Apeldoorn on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist organization and planning a terrorist attack. The arrest was carried out without incident by the Dienst Speciale Interventies (DSI), an elite Dutch counterterrorism and special operations unit, following a tip received by Rotterdam police from a foreign intelligence source.
The suspect was taken into custody after authorities identified his location. He appeared before an examining magistrate in Rotterdam on March 10, who ordered that he remain in detention for at least 14 more days while the investigation continues.
His next hearing is expected to be an arraignment before a three-judge panel at a district court. More information about the case and suspicions will be laid out during the closed-door hearing.
Under Dutch criminal law, the district court will have the option of extending the suspect’s pre-trial detention by up to 90 days at a time as the case continues.

Spanish police have arrested 11 Pakistani nationals on suspicion of belonging to the banned terrorist organization, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
According to Spanish media, a joint operation by the National Police, Mossos d’Esquadra, and the Italian Polizia di Stato led to the arrests in Barcelona. The suspects are accused of ties to a Pakistani-origin terrorist organization that promoted violent actions—including murders and beheadings—via encrypted communication channels.
Investigations reveal that the group, allegedly linked to TTP and also known as the “Pakistani Taliban,” operated with a hierarchical structure. The organization used instant messaging platforms to indoctrinate followers and identify potential targets in Europe.
The Spanish National Police stated that the investigation is part of the third phase of an ongoing operation that has resulted in 30 arrests in Spain over the past three years. Of the detainees, ten were apprehended in Barcelona and its metropolitan area, while one was arrested in Italy.
Media reports further suggest that one of the communication channels was managed exclusively by women, who not only promoted indoctrination but also played an active role in selecting potential victims….

Munich – There were disgusting scenes at a memorial for Hamas victims in Munich.
On Saturday evening, around 6 p.m., three Syrians (19, 20, 21) spat on pictures and candles for Hamas hostages and killed Israeli soldiers placed on the ground at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz in the area of the Jewish Museum, the police announced on Sunday. According to the report, they also made “verbally aggressive” comments.
Two security guards noticed the unbelievable incident and tried to detain the three aggressive men, who live in Austria.
The 19-year-old then kicked one of the two security guards with his leg and pulled out a knife.
The security guards therefore threatened to use their firearms. Police officers on site who had become aware of the situation also threatened to use their firearms.
The 19-year-old finally dropped the knife.
The three Syrians were provisionally arrested. They are now being investigated for threats, bodily harm, insults and defamation of the memory of the deceased.
The police were deployed in large numbers. According to reports, no one was injured.
I guess it's not a crime to spit on the photos of hostages, alive or dead.
Should police and security guards have the right to shoot someone who pulls a knife on them? Should they have to wait until the fiend rushes them before firing?
