UK: Islamic jihadi linked to 7/7 bombings walks free from mental hospital
British authorities, like their counterparts in France, Germany, and elsewhere, do not believe that Islamic jihad exists. Consequently, they classify Islamic jihadis as mentally ill. When those jihadis are considered to have been cured, which can come when they stop pretending to be insane, they get released. There is a risk to the public, but what politician in modern Britain has ever cared about the public?
Terrorist linked to 7/7 bombings released from mental hospital
by Poppy Jacobs, LBC, July 5, 2026:
A terrorist linked to the 7/7 bombings has been released from a secure mental health facility – despite being considered a danger to national security.
Haroon Aswat, now 50, was jailed for 20 years for plotting to form an extremist training camp in 1999.
However, after a High Court judge ruling last year, it is understood he has been released from Bethlem Royal Hospital in Bromley after completing treatment, and has been moved to another institution for specialist support.
Aswat has been diagnosed with a mental health condition called schizoaffective disorder – a condition that includes unpredictable and aggressive behaviour.
Sounds like a typical radical Muslim to me. What does it take to get released from a mental hospital? Do the psychiatrists throw you out when they realize there's nothing they can do to fix you?
It was also considered a likelihood that he could radicalise impressionable recruits….
And what will he have to do to get arrested again?
Northern Ireland: Man arrested for protest display against ‘radical Islam threat’ using replica of mosque on bonfire
The Sharia police are out in Northern Ireland.
Replica mosque on top of loyalist bonfire in Tyrone condemned as ‘vile’
RTE News, July 9, 2026:
Police have been urged to intervene after a replica of a mosque was placed on top of a loyalist bonfire pyre in Co Tyrone.
The model was visible on top of the pyre in Moygashel this morning.
Signs saying “Secure our borders” and “End the threat of radical Islam” have also been placed on the fire which is made up of pallets and is due to be set alight tomorrow night.
Amnesty International described it as a “vile display” and a “blatant attempt to stir up anti-Muslim hatred and intimidate local families”.
Police have said they are aware of the replica mosque placed on top of it, adding that a 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with it.
Northern Ireland Secretary of State Hilary Benn has described it as a “sickening and cowardly act of intimidation”.
The placement of a replica mosque on the Moygashel bonfire is a sickening and cowardly act of intimidation.
This is not about tradition, and in no way does it represent the vast majority of people in Northern Ireland.
We must stand united and completely reject such hatred.

The same bonfire site has attracted controversy in previous years.
Last year there was condemnation after effigies of migrants in a boat were burned on the Moygashel fire.
Patrick Corrigan, Amnesty International’s Northern Ireland director, said: “This vile display is a blatant attempt to stir up anti-Muslim hatred and intimidate local families.
“It must be met with a decisive response by the police.
“The placing of an effigy of a mosque on top of a bonfire amounts to incitement to hatred directed at real people who live, work and raise families in Northern Ireland….
Police said the 56-year-old man responsible “had been arrested on suspicion of displaying threatening, abusive or insulting material which is intended to stir up hatred.”
Islam is unlike other religions. Everywhere Islam expands, so does strife, demands for special privileges, jihad attacks, antisemitism and infringement on the freedom of speech to protect the sensibilities of Muslims.
The frenzy of leftist politicians and leftist activists over the display, referencing it as a “hate crime,” is highlighted, when the display has the clear signage: “Secure our borders” and “end the threat of radical Islam.”
Shouldn’t every reasonable Western citizen want secure borders for the sake of national security? Do Muslim countries not protect their borders? And shouldn’t every Western country want to “end the threat of radical Islam”? The reaction to the sign and the move to levy charges against the man responsible is revealing. Those who arrested him are essentially Sharia police.
Islam is not a religion of peace. Jihad by immigration has been waged for years, with strenuous efforts to protect it on the part of Muslims and their leftist water carriers.
Ron McDowell from the Traditional Unionist Voice stated:
“What I’m defending is the message and their right to articulate their concerns.
“Bonfires have been used like this right across Europe, right across the world. We burn Guy Fawkes in the UK.”
He said the mosque effigy was not aimed at all Muslims but was instead a protest against “radical Islam”.
What Nolan states is a no-brainer. The reaction to the display highlights everything that is wrong with leftist politicians in Northern Ireland, and a demonstration that the Sharia is gaining momentum.
