Swiss court gives Muslim teen just one year in jail for stabbing Orthodox Jewish man 17 times
The only hope for justice is for authorities pursue the revocation of the Muslim attacker’s Swiss citizenship, which could see him possibly deported to Tunisia. He is an extreme threat to Jews in the country, given the details of his savage stabbing of his Jewish victim.
Last year, the Swiss House of Representatives adopted a motion to have young offenders judged according to adult criminal law for particularly serious offenses. However, the motion was inadequate. Under it, the maximum period for imprisonment for a youth of 16 would only be increased from 4 to 6 years, and from 1 to 2 years for 15-year-olds; this is not nearly enough. The Swiss criminal system is based on rehabilitation for young offenders, which does not work for jihadists, since they’re on a zealous religious mission, and many of their fellow believers see their actions as good.
There have been enough extremely violent attacks by jihadists in the West for lawmakers across the board to implement changes to protect citizens. The rights of people who are actual hazards to public safety should not be prioritized over national security. Jihadists are at war with the West, and are particularly threatening to Jews everywhere.
Like in most countries, antisemitism in Switzerland shot up after October 7, as the pro-Hamas “globalize the intifada” movement fueled it.
Swiss Court Sparks Outrage After Muslim Teen Who Stabbed Orthodox Jew 17 Times Receives One-Year Sentence

A Muslim teenager convicted of attempting to murder an Orthodox Jewish man in a terror-inspired stabbing attack in Zurich has been handed a one-year sentence, triggering backlash from Jewish leaders and public figures who say the punishment fails to reflect the severity of the crime.
On Tuesday, a juvenile court in Zurich sentenced the dual Swiss-Tunisian national, who was 15 at the time of the attack, to one year in prison, with the sentence suspended to allow him to undergo therapy at a care facility. The court also acquitted him of charges related to repeated death threats.
“Killing Jews simply because they are Jews is unscrupulous,” the judge said in his ruling.
Because the defendant was 15 when he carried out the attack, the maximum sentence the court could impose under Swiss juvenile law was limited to one year in prison. The Youth Prosecution Service had charged him with multiple offenses, including attempted murder, support for a criminal organization, and incitement to discrimination and hatred.
The defendant, now 17, carried out the attack in March 2024, stabbing a 50-year-old Orthodox Jewish man 17 times shortly after the victim left a local synagogue.
The teenager arrived at the synagogue while livestreaming, though a technical failure meant the recording captured only audio. He can be heard complaining that the synagogue door was locked and saying he would wait for someone to come out. Shortly afterward, he says, “Now I have one,” followed by sounds of running, cries of “Allahu akbar” (“God is great”), and emergency services arriving at the scene.
My questions are: if it was a Jewish boy who stabbed a Muslim Imam 17 times, would he have gotten the same gentle treatment?
When you stab someone 17 times, is that not an indication of madness? If you attempt to murder someone, and you think your actions are heroic, is that not madness?
In Stockholm, a Mock Auschwitz Entry Gate Set Up to Protest Against Israel
These anti-Israel protests around Europe have entered a “can-you-top-this” mode, where the haters of Israel keep making their protests against the Jewish state ever more outrageous and sinister. In Stockholm, an anti-Israel group set up a mock entry gate to Auschwitz, where replacing the infamous words “Arbeit macht frei” was one word — “Gaza.” This is a way of reminding visitors to the display that the Jews are the new Nazis, and the “Palestinians” the new Jews, and those “Jewish Nazis” are wantonly murdering “Palestinians” just as, in the past, the Nazis murdered Jews.

Stockholm pro-Palestine protest uses mock Auschwitz gate with word ‘Gaza’ to criticize Israel

Pro-Palestine activists staged a protest in central Stockholm on Saturday featuring a mock Auschwitz gate with ‘Gaza’ instead of ‘Arbeit Macht Frei.’
The protest was organized by the group Palestina Demonstration Stockholm in response to what they say is the wrongful detention of Palestinian pediatrician and hospital director Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya by Israeli authorities.
The activists gathered to demand Abu Safiya’s immediate release, as well as “respect for international humanitarian law and protection for all healthcare workers in war and conflict.
How has Israel failed to respect international humanitarian law? Just between October 2025 and June 2026, 1.8 million tons of food entered Gaza — that amount is roughly three times the amount the World Food Program has identified as necessary during that period. In addition during the same period more than 18,000 tons of medicines and medical supplies entered Gaza. Israel has also delivered incubators for newborns, ventilators, MRI machines, and other medical equipment. And each day Israel supplies people in Gaza with 70,000 cubic meters of water, through pipelines, desalination facilities, and other infrastructure. The only people who in the past prevented humanitarian aid from getting to people in Gaza were the members of Hamas, who seized aid trucks just as they were entering Gaza and drove them to their own warehouses, where much of that aid was off-loaded, to then either be distributed to its own members or to be sold, not given, to civilians at exorbitant prices. The IDF has had success, however, in suppressing those Hamas stealers of aid, and that is no longer a problem.
The case of Abu Safiya – who has been held in Israeli detention since September 2024 – has gained significant international attention. While Amnesty International, for example, refers to him as an “arbitrarily detained Palestinian health worker,” Israel maintains that he is actually a Hamas colonel.
Like hundreds of those supposed “journalists ”in Gaza who turned out to be members of Hamas, and like those UNRWA aid workers who were not only Hamas members, but even, in some cases, had taken part in the October 7, 2023 atrocities, so a number of medical personnel in Gaza have also turned out to be Hamas members. Abu Safiya may have been a “health worker,” but he was also a high-ranking member — a colonel — in Hamas. How do the Israelis know this? In Gaza they have captured, among a trove of material, lists of Hamas members and their ranks.
The IDF has a long record of telling the truth; Amnesty International has a long record of undermining the Jewish state, including accepting, and disseminating, the lies told about it by Hamas. Israel has no wish to detain the innocent. It has kept Abu Safiya in detention for only one reason: he is a Hamas colonel. Period.
The Stockholm protest therefore called for his release, as well as the release of Marwan Barghouti, and the protection of Gazan health workers.
The protesters in Stockholm calling for the release of Marwan Barghouti apparently do not care that he is now serving five life sentences plus 40 years because he was responsible for the deaths of at least five Israelis, as well as being a member of a terrorist organization. For them, he’s an innocent victim of a vindictive Jewish state.
Abu Safiya was a doctor and a Hamas colonel. He was arrested for being the latter. Why should anyone think that because Abu Safiya was a doctor, he therefore was innocent? Dr. Mengele was a doctor, too, and also a diabolical Nazi war criminal.
Why did the Swedish police not intervene and pull down the mock Auschwitz gate? Doesn’t such a display foment race hatred against Jews, who are being accused of acting like Nazis?
What will be the next anti-Israel (and antisemitic) outrage from Stockholm? Will local haters put on the striped garb of Auschwitz inmates, use makeup to give themselves a hollow-cheeked appearance, and huddle on the pavement outside Stockholm’s main synagogue, while someone dressed in a Waffen-SS uniform, with whip in hand, stands over them, and sewn onto his sleeve, clearly visible, is an Israeli flag?
