Antisemitism > Why is Ireland so virulent against Israel?

Another Grotesque Attack on Israel from Ireland

A straight line can be drawn from Irish President Éamon de Valera, who paid a visit to the senior German diplomat in Dublin to express his condolences to Nazi Germany on the death of Adolf Hitler, to the deep anti-Israel animus, grading into outright antisemitism, expressed recently by Ireland’s current president Michael Higgins, its prime minister Simon Harris, and its foreign minister Micheal Martin. Now Eamon Martin, the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, has come out with his own spittle-flecked message of hate for the Jewish state here:

Irish Catholic Archbishop: Israeli response to Hamas

‘merciless and disproportionate'

by Michael Starr, Jerusalem Post, January 2, 2025:

Irish Archbishop Eamon Martin has decried the Israeli response to Hamas attacks as merciless and disproportionate in a New Year’s Day message, delivered at a time of increased criticism by Ireland and the Catholic Church toward Israel’s prosecution of the multi-front Levantine war.

The Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland said on Tuesday that while the Hamas-led October 7 attacks were “egregious” and hostages were still being held in Gaza, the IDF’s response was “merciless and disproportionate.”

Hmm. Does that word “egregious” seem to you to be the right word to describe the Hamas attacks on October 7, in which 6,000 Hamas operatives, accompanied by a few hundred delirious civilians hoping to join in the homicidal fun, smashed into Israel and proceeded to rape, torture, mutilate, and murder 1,200 Israelis? No, of course not. The Primate of All Ireland then said that while Hamas’ atrocities may have been “egregious,” Israel’s response was far worse; it was “merciless and disproportionate.”

Was there any sign of mercy in the October 7th display of unbelievably, inhuman evil by Hamas? Was there any sign of shame and disgrace by the Gazans who elected those monsters? Why does Martin expect mercy from Israelis and not from Hamas?

Over 45,000 people, including 17,000 children, have been cut down; two million people forcibly displaced; almost the entire population of Gaza is living in extreme hunger, and despite the reality of catastrophic famine conditions for hundreds of thousands of desperate civilians, humanitarian access is effectively blocked,” said Martin.

Archbishop Martin is wrong. He is mindlessly repeating Hamas propaganda about casualty figures. Let’s go into those numbers for the nth time. Hamas has claimed, through its puppet, the Gaza Ministry of Health, that 45,000 people have died in Gaza in 15 months of war. It deliberately does not distinguish between civilian and military deaths. The IDF has said that it has killed 20,000 Hamas fighters. We also know that before the Gaza war began, 800 Gazans died each month from diseases and accidents. Assuming that figure holds steady, in the fifteen months of the war, 800 x 15, or 12,000 Gazans have died of non-combat related causes. And that means the total number of civilian casualties as a result of the war amount not to 45,000, as the archbishop claims, but 25,000-12,000, or 13,000. Where did Archbishop Martin come up with that figure of “17,000 children” whom, he claims, have “been cut down,” a figure that is 4,000 more than the total for all civilians — men, women, and children — killed in the war? Why, like so many other credulous and biased souls, he took it from Hamas propagandists who incessantly repeat that figure.

Archbishop Martin claims that two million people were “forcibly displaced” by the IDF, and that must be a wicked thing. He has completely missed the point. Gazans were not “forcibly displaced,” but rather, encouraged to move out of certain areas — from cities to neighborhoods to individual buildings, in order to avoid being harmed if they remained in areas about to be targeted by the IDF. “Two million people” were not moved all at once, as Martin claims. The largest move was from the city of Rafah, where 900,000 people were encouraged to move to the safe zone set up by the IDF on the Mediterranean coast at Al-Mawasi. Most of the other warnings were directed at far fewer numbers — thousands or even hundreds of Gazans at a time. In every case, once an area was declared “cleared of Hamas terrorists,” civilians were allowed back in. This tremendous effort by the IDF to move Gazan civilians to relative safety is presented by the Primate of All Ireland as an evil act; he refuses to recognize that those warnings that led to those temporary displacements saved lives. Can he really be unaware of the fact that the IDF by March had dropped nine million leaflets, sent fifteen million text messages, and made sixteen million robocalls in Gaza, not to harm civilians, but to urge them away from danger?

Nor does he seem to be aware that it is not Israel that is preventing the food from entering Gaza. Food trucks that do enter are immediately hijacked by Hamas or criminal gangs. The food is stolen by Hamas, or resold by criminals at exorbitant prices to the hungry Gazans. Israel has offered to accompany the trucks but that has been refused.

If you have read the article just previous to this on this blog, it may colour your thinking about the validity of the Catholic Church in Ireland. On my other blog, the number of stories about Ireland's Christian Brothers sect, may add a few more shades of grey.

Islamization of Britain > Nearly 900 migrants cross the English Channel in one day

UK: Record 882 migrants cross Channel,

highest number on a single day this year

Most UK citizens have no idea how this ongoing invasion of Britain will play out in the economy and its effects on national security. The Rishi Sunak government, like other globalist governments, tells its supporters what they think they want to hear as they buy time for the next election.

Although the number of illegals is 18% higher this year than last, expect a continuing steady flood of migrants into Britain, mainly from Africa and the Middle East. It’s the beginning of summer, and better weather encourages more.

Citizens of the West are now exhausted as they continue to watch globalist governments slowly and systematically destroy their countries from within. Border control now applies mainly to taxpaying, law-abiding citizens. Given the recent populist victories in the EU Parliamentary elections, maybe citizens will wake up before it’s too late.

Record 882 migrants cross Channel marking the highest number

on a single day this year

by Emily Jane Davies, Daily Mail, June 19, 2024:

A record of around 882 migrants were detected crossing the English Channel yesterday, marking the highest number on a single day this year.

The Home Office said they made the journey in 15 boats, suggesting an average of 59 people per boat.

People smugglers took advantage of the sea’s calm conditions on Tuesday on one of the busiest days of the year so far for crossings.

RNLI lifeboats and Border Force Vessels were sent out at 4am to round up men, women and children as they arrived into the Port of Dover.

The latest crossings take the provisional total for the number of arrivals so far this year to 12,313.

This is 18 per cent higher than this time last year when 10,472 crossings were recorded, and up 5 per cent  on the total at this stage in 2022 (11,690)….

39 Vietnamese Migrants Dead - 19 Smugglers to be Tried in France

..

France to try 19 suspected human smugglers over

2019 migrant lorry deaths

France is to try 19 men over a people-smuggling plot that led to the 2019 deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants in the back of a lorry, a source familiar with the matter said Wednesday.

Issued on: 24/05/2023 - 14:12, 2 min
Text by: NEWS WIRES

The trial is the latest of several in Europe over the tragedy.

The migrants -- the youngest of whom were two 15-year-old boys -- suffocated in the refrigerated container as they were being transported across the Channel to what they had hoped would be new lives in Britain.

Their lifeless bodies were discovered inside the sealed unit at a port near London in October 2019.

French investigating magistrates on Tuesday ordered the trial of 19 suspects aged 21 to 58 over the tragedy, the source said.

A transnational investigation points to the suspects -- of Vietnamese, French, Chinese, Algerian and Moroccan origin -- being part of a large network smuggling people from Vietnam to Europe, it said.

They stand accused of organising the transport of migrants and driving taxis or owning flats where they could hide them in the Paris region, it added.

According to wiretapped phone calls, these men referred to their victims as "merchandise" or even "chickens".

They will all be tried for enabling the illegal entry and stay of foreigners on French territory and banding together with a view to committing crimes, which could carry up to 10 years in jail, the source said.

Four will also be judged for manslaughter for failing to ensure duty of care during the smuggling operation, which could lead to punishment of three years behind bars.

Three years for the manslaughter of 39 people? Is that a joke? 3 years for each might be acceptable.

Perilous journey

The cross-border probe revealed that migrants were loaded into a truck in northern France, before being driven to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge to cross the Channel.

The tragedy shone a spotlight on the extraordinary dangers migrants are willing to risk to reach Britain, with some paying smugglers up to $40,000 for the perilous journey.

Post-mortem tests found the victims died from lack of oxygen and overheating, and one sent a poignant text message to her family in Vietnam as she lay dying in the truck.

The victims came from poor and remote corners of central Vietnam, a hotspot for people willing to embark on dangerous journeys in the hope of a better future abroad.

Many are smuggled illegally through Russia or China, often left owing huge sums to their traffickers and ending up working on cannabis farms or in nail salons.

There was no immediate date set for the French trial, which follows several convictions in other countries.

A Belgian court last year sentenced a Vietnamese man to 15 years in prison after convicting him of being a ringleader in the trafficking operation.

A British judge in 2021 convicted two men on 39 counts of manslaughter over the lorry tragedy, jailing them for 27 and 20 years. He also handed two truck drivers 13-year and 18-year sentences.

Here We Go: Migrants on the Move; Is Europe Prepared or Will It Be 2015 All Over Again?

As Turkey opens path to Europe, one refugee describes
war-like scene at border with Greece

Will Angela Merkel throw Germany's doors wide open again?

Refugees arrived at Turkey's borders with Greece and Bulgaria Friday, upon news that borders were open

CBC Radio

An Iranian refugee who is trying to cross the border from Turkey into Greece described babies and elderly people waiting in freezing conditions, as Greek officials fired tear gas.

"It's like a war," Parvin told As It Happens which is withholding her full name because she fears for her safety.

Hundreds of other refugees arrived at Turkey's borders with Greece and Bulgaria on Friday morning.

Parvin arrived in the Turkish town of Edirne, near the Greek border, after hearing the news that Turkey is not stopping refugees from entering Europe.

A Turkish official announced that the country was opening the border, after an airstrike in Syria's Idlib province by Russian-backed Syrian government troops killed 33 Turkish soldiers on Thursday night.

This makes a lot of sense! Russia-backed Syria attacks Turkish troops who were among rebel troops in Idlib, and Turkey gets mad and punishes Europe. Erdogan's plans to expand the Turkish caliphate are being stymied, so he is responding by just trying to hurt anyone he can. Or, is this part of the plan, to fill Europe with Muslims?

Turkey will no longer close its border gates to refugees who want to go to Europe , a senior official
told media on Friday, shortly after the killing of 33 Turkish soldiers in an airstrike in northern Syria.

There are some 3.6 million Syrians in Turkey, and the country has threatened for years to "open the gates" in several disputes with European states. Turkey struck a deal in 2016 with the European Union to stop the number of migrants entering Europe.

NATO held emergency talks on Friday to try to diffuse the situation between Turkey and Russia.

Parvin has been living in Turkey for the past three years, after leaving Iran because she feared the government.

She said she decided to go to the Pazarkule border post with Greece because she does not feel safe in Turkey and fears that she will be sent back to Iran.

"It's not important which city. It's not important which country. We want to live like a human. Like a person. Have citizenship from another country," she said.

Does she mean a non-Islamic country?

Bulgaria sent 1,000 troops to its border with Turkey. At the Pazarkule border crossing post, where Parvin is waiting, refugees were met with barbed wire fences and tear gas.

Both countries said they would not allow the refugees to enter.

Weather is cold and rainy
Parvin said the weather is rainy and cold, and children are shaking. She says that there is no food, water or toilets and she is trying to stay warm by a fire while waiting in a forest near the border.

Parvin said she has not been stopped from going back into Turkey, but that she does not want to return to the conditions she was living in before, which she describes as "hell".

Instead she is pleading with Greece and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to "open the door."

If they do not, Parvin said she will continue waiting at the border as long as she can.

Are You Praying for Australia? God is Answering Your Prayers in Spectacular Fashion

More than 500mm of rain falls in a single day in parts of Northern Territory
..
Heavy rains expected across much of Australia
especially the 3 states that are on fire

After a bone dry Christmas, the rain has finally arrived with more than 500mm falling in one day in the Territory — and some of that is heading south.

Benedict Brook, news.com.au JANUARY 13, 20203:28PM

Each year, powerful cyclones smash into the Australian coast, stretching hundreds of kilometres end to end.

From tinder dry to sodden. The Northern Territory was so deluged on the weekend a record breaking 500mm of rain fell in parts.

Tropical Cyclone Claudia, which has now strengthened to a category three storm, is dumping huge amounts of moisture on Northern Australia. And some of that will likely find its way towards bushfire-ravaged areas of the nation’s south with storms and showers for many major cities, particularly towards the end of the week

Potentially as much as 50-100mm of rain could fall in some areas of the Queensland and New South Wales coasts and far into inland areas during the next week.

It will provide some relief, but the amount due to hit NSW will be nothing like the 500mm that fell near Darwin. And forecasters have warned that the country needs sustained rain rather than a downpour here and there.

In the 24 hours to 9am on Saturday 562mm of rain fell on Dum In Mirrie Island, which lies about 50km as the crow flies south west of Darwin. The previous record for the Territory was 544mm of rain that fell in the Roper Valley, a mine site 450km south east of Darwin in 1963. Dum in Mirrie Island was directly under the path of Tropical Cyclone Claudia as it careered through the Top End.

Darwin itself recorded far less rain than areas nearby, with just under 70mm filling the gauge on the weekend. Nevertheless, that was the highest single dumping of rain in at least a year on the NT capital.

“There has been a notable change to weather patterns across the country over the last week or so with an increase in rain due to monsoon onset one of the key changes,” said Sky News Weather channel Meteorologist Alison Osborne on Monday.

This is our answered prayer! Smack in the middle of high summer, there should not be a change in the pattern, especially toward cooler, wetter weather. Thank You, Lord for hearing our prayers and having mercy on Australia.

The monsoon was several weeks late reaching Australia; that tardiness was a critical factor in the tinder-dry conditions that helped the bushfires take hold.

But in the last fortnight two cyclones have crossed into Australian waters and a third is brewing to the east of Queensland.

Tropical Cyclone Claudia is growing in size but its track is likely to take it far out into the Indian Ocean limiting its effect on coastal communities. Darwin will fall back into a more regular pattern of afternoon storms dropping a few millimetres of rain and highs of about 33C.

Some of Claudia’s moisture should fuel a wet week for the country’s north and east.

“We can see a low pressure trough sitting in the interior of NSW, while a high pressure system over New Zealand is drawing more humid air across the east and toward eastern inland areas over the next few days,” Ms Osborne said.

Tropical Cyclone Claudia is now heading out into the Indian Ocean, but not before it led to record breaking downpours near Darwin. Picture: Windy

RAIN FOR MOST CAPITALS

Thick bands of rain are creeping down both the west and east of the country, leaving only South Australia and the southern Northern Territory lacking in any noticeable moisture.

In the east, potentially as much as 50-100mm of rain could fall in some areas of the Queensland and NSW coasts and far into inland areas during the next week.

“It’s only light but rain is desperately needed and it will help to clear some smoke and ease fire dangers,” Ms Osborne said.

50-100mm is light?!!! Seriously - 2-4 inches!

Brisbane will be soggy from Tuesday onwards with highs nudging 30C and some heavy showers. Cairns, in the tropics, is looking at about 50mm of rain this week.

The weather has settled in Sydney for the next few days with highs in the late 20Cs. But from Thursday onwards, storms might be seen above the Harbour City with 5-10mm falling each day.

@NSWRFS
If this @BOM_NSW rainfall forecast comes to fruition then this will be all of our Christmas, birthday, engagement, anniversary, wedding and graduation presents rolled into one. Fingers crossed. #NSWRFS   #nswfires

Most of the fires are in the three eastern-most states, Queensland, NSW, and Victoria,
where much of the rainfall will occur this coming week.

Smoke haze in a warm Canberra on Tuesday where the mercury is forecast to reach 34C. Showers on Wednesday could clear the smoke with heavy downpours and a possible storm on Wednesday setting the tone for the rest of the week.

Drier in Melbourne with a sunny but smoky Monday and Tuesday with highs about 30C. Reaching 31C on a humid and possibly stormy Wednesday. Then the temperatures should fall into the low 20Cs, even the teens, as the week goes on with rain here and there.

Hobart will be warm, in the mid to late 20Cs until Thursday when there could be a 10C temperature drop accompanied by splashes of rain.

Bone dry all week in Adelaide. Temperatures reaching 34C on Monday and Tuesday, then settling between 26-29C for the rest of a sunny week.

A hot week for Perth, the highs not dipping below 33C. While the monsoon could bring rain to the north of WA, with storms for Broome and Karratha, little of that will reach the south.

Please keep praying until the fires are out or under control.

The War on Christianity Comes from Within the Swedish Church

Church of Sweden unveils altarpiece of paradise featuring
gay couples and transgender serpent

“Paradise” by Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin. Photo taken by author.

A church in Malmo has a new altarpiece meant to celebrate inclusivity by replacing Adam and Eve in paradise with gay couples in suggestive poses, while depicting the serpent tempting them as a transgender woman.

The controversial work of art is not new. Photographer and artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin painted it in 2012 and tried to donate it to the Skara Cathedral just before the church was preparing to conduct the first same-sex wedding in its 1,000-year history.

The openly lesbian artist, who has a history of blending religious imagery with pro-minority activism, said at the time that she wanted to test if the Church of Sweden was as gay-friendly as it claimed to be when it embraced same-sex marriage in 2009. The Skara Cathedral politely declined the gift, saying it was about political activism and not faith.

And what did they call same-sex marriages?

But over seven years have passed, and now Wallin has got her way, even if it isn’t in her home city. St. Paul’s Church in Malmo accepted the painting called “Paradise” as its new altarpiece and unveiled it on Sunday, the first day of Advent. Helena Myrstener, the pastor, said that “history was written” in the hanging of the “LGBT altarpiece” as she tweeted a photo of the painting.

Wallin’s reimagining of paradise was inspired by one of the works by Renaissance master Lucas Cranach the Elder. The artist/activist said she wanted to show that, since the beginning of time, the place for gay people was in paradise rather than hell. The modern interpretation interestingly seems more prudish in terms of nudity than the 16th century originals as both “lesbian Eves” have their breasts covered by leaves rather than concealing only their genitals, as is traditional.

But it’s probably not because the artist has problems with nudity. After all, her most famous photo exhibition – the 2012 Bible-inspired “Ecce Homo” – featured an image portraying the baptism of Jesus with the model standing for Christ having his penis fully exposed.

The Church of Sweden, the state Church of the Scandinavian country until 2000 and still by far its largest denomination, prides itself on embracing a laundry list of woke agendas. Despite this, Swedes have been leaving the Church in record numbers lately, according to surveys.

Judging by some comments on social media, the new altarpiece won’t help much with stopping the exodus. “The politization has gone too far,” one member commented on the news as she announced leaving the Church. Another one said that while there were plenty of enlightened priests in the Church of Sweden, radicals from a “PC-pack” have turned it into their own arena.

Sweden may be the only country in the world more absurdly PCMad than Canada. The stupidity of this painting and others by this anti-Christian woman is almost beyond belief. If Adam and Eve were gay, that would have been the end of the human race right there.

The blasphemy of paintings like this reveal a complete disbelief in God or the Bible. For to read the Bible and to know God on any level, is to know that He is holy and that we will all stand before Him in judgment one day. And although He is loving and merciful, I suspect there will be little mercy for the likes of Wallin and Myrstener.
