Minnesota GOP Lawmaker says Antifa and Muslim Organization Plan to ‘Police Minneapolis Under Muslim Rule’

A couple weeks ago when defunding police became the hashtag of the week, I suggested, half kidding, that it wouldn't be long before someone suggested replacing them with Sharia police.

Well, here it is already!

By Deena Winter, Minnesota Reformer

Rep. Steve Green has some thoughts.

A Minnesota lawmaker said last week Antifa and Muslim organizations plan to “police Minneapolis under Muslim rule,” communism is moving into Minneapolis-St. Paul and the state’s Democratic attorney general would like to “close down all of northern Minnesota.”

The Park Rapids Enterprise quoted Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston, making the comments during a Hubbard County Board meeting Tuesday. Much of the discussion focused on disbursement of federal pandemic aid, according to the paper’s report.

But Green also weighed in on talk of defunding police in the wake of George Floyd’s death while a cop held his knee on his neck.

After the county board chair questioned whether there was an alternative public safety plan, Green said Antifa and Muslim organizations plan to “police Minneapolis under Muslim rule,” according to the Enterprise. He also claimed some representatives have a bill that would impose eminent domain on every business destroyed during the Floyd protests and “only sell back to people under conditions” imposed by the city.

“What you’re looking at, in my humble opinion, is communism moving into Minneapolis and St. Paul,” Green was quoted saying.

Green declined to comment.

Rep. Mohamud Noor, DFL-Minneapolis, said rather than talk about things that inflame people and create division, Minnesota needs to address the challenge before it.

“Minnesota is awake,” he said. “They understand the challenges; they have been hearing the challenges for far too long. And we can’t wait any longer.”

Green also speculated that Gov. Tim Walz wants to implement mail-in voting “and remove the county and local precincts” and said he’s “never liked mail-in ballots anywhere.”

Minnesota townships and cities outside the metro with fewer than 400 registered voters are allowed to offer mail-in balloting.

A county commissioner lamented the state shutdown’s effect on businesses and school districts, suggesting state officials either didn’t understand the consequences or have “devious intentions.” Green responded that Attorney General Keith Ellison “may try to close down all of northern Minnesota.”

“I don’t think that would bother him a bit,” he was quoted as saying.

The county board then passed a resolution encouraging Walz to let his shutdown order expire, allow churches to reopen and release all federal pandemic-related aid.

Minneapolis: First Somali Muslim Cop Sentenced 12.5 Years Jail for Killing Innocent Woman

BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS
Jihad Watch

The first Somali Muslim Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor, who “shot and killed Justine Ruszczyk Damond after she approached his squad car, was sentenced to more than twelve years in prison.”

Robert Spencer weighed in about the dire impact of identity politics at play in Noor’s hiring…

This proves the truth of what I have said all along about this case: Mohamed Noor was not competent to be a police officer. If he had not been a Somali and a Muslim, he never would have been on the force at all. Identity politics kills. If there is any lesson to be drawn from the killing of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, that is it. The city of Minneapolis was so eager to have a Somali Muslim police officer on the force that it hired a man who had been found incompetent to hold the job. Even worse, Minneapolis officials did not fire him even when he proved that he was indeed unfit to be a cop.

Fox News has reported that “the former Minneapolis police officer charged in the shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond once put a gun to a driver’s head during a traffic stop and sometimes ignored calls, according to court filings indicating that psychiatrists and training officers voiced concerns about his fitness for duty.”

Not only that, but “[Mohamed] Noor was flagged by two psychiatrists during a pre-hiring evaluation in early 2015. The psychiatrists said he seemed unable to handle the stress of regular police work and exhibited an unwillingness to deal with people.”

The psychiatrists added: “Noor was more likely than other candidates to become impatient with others over minor infractions, have trouble getting along with others, to be more demanding and to have a limited social support network. The psychiatrists said he ‘reported disliking people and being around them.’”

Following the shooting, Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges in a grossly insensitive move toward Noor’s victim,  jumped to the defense of the Muslim community “that the real victims are not those who were killed or wounded, but the Muslim community” and she warned against “Islamophobia”.

She should be more concerned with PC Madness and pointing her fingers at herself. Whoever was responsible for pushing this man into police service when he was apparently not capable of dealing with people, should be held responsible and should bear the criticism. It was this kind of PC Madness that allowed thousands of young British girls to be raped and abused by Pakistani men all over England.

Noor sentenced to 12.5 years for killing Justine Ruszczyk Damond

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KTTC)A former Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed Justine Ruszczyk Damond after she approached his squad car was sentenced to more than twelve years in prison Friday morning.

Hennepin County Judge Kathryn Quaintance issued the sentence in a Minneapolis courtroom. Sentencing guidelines called for anywhere between 10.5 and 15 years in prison.

Mohamed Noor read a letter to the court minutes before he was sentenced. “I’ve owed Ms. Ruszczyk’s family for a long time. I apologize…for taking the life of such a perfect person,” Noor said. “I took great pride in wearing a uniform,” he added.

Members of Damond’s family read victim statements to the judge before the sentencing. “The day of July 15, 2017, was the last time I felt a since of happiness ,a sense of trust…that everything could be okay,” said Don Damond, who was engaged to Justine.

Part of his statement took the form of a letter addressed to his late fiancĂ©e. “I miss you so much everyday,” he read, holding back tears.

A jury convicted Noor on third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges in April after a tense trial. The defense argued he used reasonable force and acted in self-defense….

Minneapolis’ ‘Little Mogadishu’ Sees 56 Percent Increase in Violent Crimes Caused by Somali Gangs

Anthony Gockowski

Violent crimes increased by more than 50 percent in 2018 in Minneapolis’ Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, nicknamed “little Mogadishu,” which authorities attribute to Somali gang activity in the area.

Buried in a recent Star Tribune article was the fact that violent crimes jumped from 54 in 2010 to 84 in 2018, an increase in roughly 56 percent. Authorities attribute the violence to rivalries between Somali gangs, such as the Somali Mafia, the Somali Outlaws, the Hot Boyz, and Madhibaan with Attitude, Alpha News reports.

According to a 2014 Southside Pride article, the Outlaws and Madhibaan with Attitude have a rivalry that stretches back years, and likely resulted in the murder of two Somali men in April 2014. That article notes that the summer of 2013 was a particularly bloody season for gang warfare, which produced at least 4 killings.

A 2013 CBS article detailed the involvement of the Outlaws, the Mafia, and another gang called the Lady Outlaws in a sex-trafficking ring that recruited and prostituted young girls, some of whom were under the age of 14, between 2000 and 2010. The ring was operated out of Minneapolis, Columbus, and Nashville, and resulted in the indictment of 30 individuals involved.

In 2008, the Minneapolis Police Department created a Somali liaison position to focus solely on addressing the issue. The department currently has 5 Somali-speaking officers to assist in outreach to the immigrant community. According an MPR report from the time, officers began to notice that Somali gangs were dividing themselves along the same clan lines of their war-torn country.

The issue first garnered national attention after a 2009 CBS News report titled “Rise of Somali Gangs Plagues Minneapolis,” though officers were still hesitant at the time to pin the crimes on Somali gang activity.

“It was all gang activity, totally, 100 percent,” Shukri Adan, a Somali community organizer, said of the murders of seven Somali men in a 10-month period. Adan was tasked with drafting a report for the City of Minneapolis in which he estimated that between 400 and 500 Somali men were involved in gangs.

“The police don’t want to say that but everybody else knows that,” he added.

The latest rise in violent crimes in the Cedar-Riverside area comes as a concern to many, considering that city leaders have started to invest in security upgrades and community-outreach programs. In May, for instance, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced that a high-rise apartment complex at the center of little Mogadishu would be receiving an $825,000 security upgrade, including fencing, key fobs, and numerous security cameras.

In December, the Minneapolis City Council voted to divert $43,000 from the Minneapolis Police Department to create a youth outreach team for the area, Minnesota Daily reports.

“Everybody’s gotten to the point where, hey, you know, we don’t need more police, we need more intervention,” one organizer in attendance said. Several businesses in the area have joined together to hire off-duty police officers to patrol the area, while others are donating food and beverages to hand out to youth roaming the streets.

The Star Tribune reports that the latest uptick in violent crimes is mostly due to a surge in robberies and assaults.
