Argentina thwarts another terror attack on Jewish community, seeks Interpol arrest of Iranian Minister

Argentina thwarts terror attack on Jewish community

Seven Islamic terrorists were arrested and their homes raided, with large arsenals found.

By Batya Jerenberg, World Israel News

The Argentine Federal Police thwarted a terror attack on a local Jewish community Friday, the Minister of Security announced in a post on social media Friday.

They were planning attacks in Mendoza [Province],” wrote Patricia Bullrich on X. “In 8 raids, the PFA dismantled a dangerous organization linked to a radical Islamic terrorist group, identified after threatening a journalist from the Jewish community.”

“The person responsible was identified, and then the group was identified,” she added, and “the police brought them all to justice.”

“We are going to get rid of each and every one of these criminals who try to sow fear in Argentines and they will pay,” the minister concluded.

02:24

Seven suspects were arrested in all, with some caught at the Cristo Redentor border crossing with Chile and at Ezeiza International Airport in the capital, Buenos Aires. None of their identities has been revealed as yet.

Although the authorities were sparse on the details of the arrests, from their locations it was speculated that the suspects were trying to leave the country.

Their homes were raided and a large number of weapons were found, including shotguns, rifles and handguns, knives and daggers.

The authorities also confiscated cellphones and computers and Islamic texts of Salafist origin that attested to their violent ideology.

Besides planning physical attacks, the group had been spreading hate messages on social media through WhatsApp and Telegram, against both Christians and Jews, using extreme terminology common to such terror organizations as Islamic State and the Taliban.

According to the Spanish press, the investigation began after an umbrella group of local Jewish communities, the Community Assistance Department of the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA) reported the threats against a Jewish reporter.

Argentina is home to the largest Jewish community in Latin America, estimated at some 180,000 – 220,000 people.

The vast majority live in Buenos Aires, but there are small communities in several provinces.

In July 1994, a Hezbollah terrorist drove a van laden with explosives into the AMIA Jewish community center in the capital, killing 85 people and injuring over 300 when the building collapsed. It remains the deadliest terror attack in Argentinian history.

In March 1992, the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for a suicide truck bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, which killed 29 and wounded 242.

In both cases, the vast majority of those killed and wounded were not Jewish.

Doesn't matter! Radicalized Muslims are happy just to kill someone. They kill each other if they can't find Jews, Christians, or Hindus.

In 2006 several senior Iranian officials were indicted for their roles in the attacks by their terror proxies, including former president Hashemi Rafsanjani. Two others, commanders in the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, are ministers in the country’s current Cabinet.

In April, Argentina’s second highest court ruled again that the Iranian government was responsible for both of them, and the government requested that Interpol arrest one of the two, Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi.

The Murderous Islamization of Africa > The World's most neglected crisis - Burkina Faso

Whether it really is the World's most neglected crisis - Burkina Faso is certainly in the top five or so along with Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan and most countries in the Sahel. What they all have in common is Muslim insurgence.

In reality, the world's most neglected crisis is child sexual abuse

Burkina Faso: ‘Group for the Support for Islam and Muslims’ and other jihadis have murdered thousands since 2014

“The situation has been described as the world’s most neglected crisis.”

Why is it neglected? Because it doesn’t fit the narrative of the political elites and the establishment media, in which Muslims are never perpetrators, but always victims.

‘They live with fear in their stomachs’:

increasing violence deepens crisis in Burkina Faso

Guardian, July 5, 2024 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

In a friend’s house in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso’s second-largest city, Maimuona* remembers the night her son was born. “There were gunshots and everyone was running,” she says. Jihadists attacked her village, sending everyone scattering into the bush and causing Maimouna to go into labour early. Seydou was born by the side of a sandy road. His nickname is “the lucky one”.

In the two years since, the family have not been able to return home, displaced by an insurgency that has been simmering since 2014, killing thousands and pushing more than 2 million – almost 10% of the population – from their homes. The situation has been described as the world’s most neglected crisis.

The attackers, believed to be from one of the most active terror groups in the country, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (the Group for the Support for Islam and Muslims), burned houses and shops in Maimuona’s village in Nord region, and killed their goats and cows.

“Do you see the clothes we are wearing? We left with these on, we didn’t have time to grab anything,” says Maimuona, who is now living in the cramped home of her friend in the south-west Hauts-Bassins region, a relatively safe spot in the country, along with her husband, his other wife and their children. One child, Mamourou*, 13, was hit by a motorcycle during the escape. He now walks with a limp because they could not find him medical treatment for the injury….

Vehicular jihad is popular among “Palestinian” jihadis. A billboard in Nazareth actually called for attacks of this kind. “Moderate” Fatah also called for such attacks.

Jerusalem Post, April 27, 2023:

A terrorist attempted to carry out a ramming attack before trying to stab people with a knife at Gitai Avishar junction on Highway 5 near Ariel in the West Bank on Thursday evening, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

The attacker attempted to ram into people and drove into the opposite lane, but lost control of his car and crashed.

He then got out of the car holding a knife and attempted to stab a police officer, before he was shot by a nearby IDF soldier.

No injuries to Israeli citizens were reported.

The terrorist was identified as 39-year-old Ahmad Taha, a resident of the West Bank town of Biddya who worked for the Palestinian Authority’s security forces, according to Maariv….

Stains: He tries to cut the throat of a passer-by after a refused cigarette,

the suspect arrested by the BAC

translated from “Stains : Il tente d’égorger un passant après une cigarette refusée, le suspect interpellé par la BAC,”
by Stéphane Cazaux, Actu 17, April 28, 2023

A man armed with three knives attacked a 31-year-old passerby in Stains (Seine-Saint-Denis), this Thursday evening, Actu17 has learned. The assailant then headed inside a nearby mosque, where he was disarmed. The police officers of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrested him at his home located not far away.

The victim was at a bus stop near La Courneuve Park around 10:30 p.m. when a stranger asked him for a cigarette. The latter was angry at his refusal. He then exhibited a butcher’s sheet and a thirty-centimeter kitchen knife, before attempting to stab the victim in the throat. The attacker yelled “Allah akbar” while threatening to kill him, according to a source close to the investigation.

The 30-year-old managed to dodge the blows, but he was still slightly injured in the neck. His attacker fled and allegedly then tried to assault a woman, who managed to flee. The madman then entered the mosque located on Boulevard Maxime-Gorki. The faithful disarmed him but the man ended up fleeing. The police were alerted and the first victim – who pursued his attacker – now sets off in pursuit. The 30-year-old tells the police where the suspect has taken refuge: a building on the same boulevard.

Mastered with a stun gun

The BAC police enter the building. “The suspect tried to enter another apartment where a shocked father and his children were,” said the same source.

The 46-year-old man was finally found on the 4th floor and then subdued using an electric stun gun in front of his dangerousness. He was intoxicated and was taken into custody.

Before attempted murder in gym: Syrian has killed before

translated from “Vor versuchtem Mord im Fitnessstudio: Syrer hat zuvor bereits getötet,”
Exxpress, April 27, 2023

The Syrian national (26) is said to have committed stabbings in a gym in Duisburg’s old town on Tuesday evening last week and, according to the police, seriously injured four men aged 21, 24 and 32 with a blunt and stabbing weapon. The youngest is in mortal danger. After the investigators recently discovered evidence of an Islamist motive, a murder is said to have already been committed (already committed one) at Easter.

The suspect is said to have “inflicted a significant number of stab and cut wounds” on Easter Sunday to a victim, the Düsseldorf public prosecutor said on Thursday. The victim (35) succumbed to his wounds.

“After the evaluation of traces found at the crime scene and on the suspect’s shoes, there is now an urgent suspicion against him because of this act,” continued the Attorney General’s Office.

At last, the Dutch are beginning to ask the questions they should have asked 7 or 8 years ago. Is it too late?

'Salafist Police’ Targeting Westernized European Muslims

by Abigail R. Esman,
IPT News, April 25, 2023:

Some call them the Salafist police. Others say they are just ordinary extremists. Either way, they are terrorizing other Muslims in the Netherlands, radicalizing Muslim youth, and working to undermine the secular democratic system – not just in Holland, but in Belgium, France, and elsewhere across Europe.

While America seems to have largely forgotten the threat of radical Islamism, jihadism, according to Dutch intelligence agency AIVD, remains the greatest security threat for Europe. That threat exists not only in the form of terrorist violence, but in the effect of online propaganda, Salafist-run schools, intimidation on social media, and ongoing efforts at polarizing European society as Salafist groups and charismatic activists urge fellow Muslims to reject Western democratic mores.

Now a report by Dutch newspaper Telegraaf has Parliament asking questions: what, some members want to know, can security agencies do to prevent that kind influence and the threats against moderate Muslims (and non-Muslims) by extremists, both in person and online?

The disturbing answer: not much.

At least, not just now.

According to the Telegraaf, Salafist extremists, including younger, second- and third-generation Muslims born and raised in The Netherlands, are loudly condemning everything they consider “too Western” – from listening to music and watching soccer games to wishing others “happy Christmas” or, more shameful still, allowing wives and daughters to appear in public without a veil or hijab.Whoever they perceive as crossing the line,” the Telegraaf reports, “will soon find himself denounced and condemned online.” Some offer rewards for the addresses of “evildoers.” Children threaten their parents. And still the recruitment continues. “Although the group is relatively small, its members can have a disproportional influence on the Islamic community of the Netherlands,” the AIVD report for 2022 noted.

That influence is not limited to social media and the mosques, or even local communities. For years, the AIVD and its sister organization, the National Coordinator for Terrorism and Violence (NCTV), have cautioned that the growing number of Salafist schools are shaping the minds and ideologies of hundreds, if not thousands, of Dutch Muslim children. And often, parents are at a loss to fight it. “The first generation of Muslims in The Netherlands followed a more moderate interpretation of their faith,” the AIVD wrote in 2021. “Parents from the second- and third generation…are more vulnerable to a strict form of Islam. If a follower has enough theological knowledge and charisma, parents are sometimes unsure how to work against that.”…

Great Britain noticed several years ago that second-generation Muslims were more devout than their parents. Salafism is a fundamentalist arm of Islam and has already been banned from operating mosques and schools in some countries. They should be banned in all sane countries. Islam will always gravitate toward a more fundamental and violent interpretation of Mohammed and the Quran.

Suspicion of machete murder at Vienna's U6:

Punishment action under Sharia law

translated from “Verdacht nach Macheten-Mord bei U6: Bestrafungs-Aktion nach Gesetz der Scharia,”
Exxpress, April 29, 2023

The victim in the machete murder – an Algerian (31) – was butchered at the U6 station nine days ago – the eXXpress reported. Five or six, according to eyewitness reports even up to ten men, are said to have intercepted the later victim in the station, followed him over the ramp and killed him in front of the entrance. Two perpetrators with machetes are said to have partially severed the Algerian’s hands and feet while he was still alive, as reported by oe24.

Due to the high blood loss, the victim died a little later in a hospital. One of the suspected attackers – also an Algerian (24) – fled when the police arrived and jumped into the Danube Canal. The officers fished him out, the suspect denies everything: “I wasn’t there, I don’t know the victim.”

No public manhunt for killer gang

The police did not give any details about the crime, which not only scared the population in Brigittenau. They refrain from publishing mug shots. While this is always considered appropriate for petty ATM thieves, it does not seem to be the case for a brutal gang presumably from the drug milieu. To this day, the suspects are roaming freely in Vienna unmolested.

Or do other reasons for the secrecy of the police play a role? Don’t you want to say anything because it would lead to an outcry among the population?

The police remain silent about the background

The crime is fatally reminiscent of methods that repeatedly cause serious criticism of outdated legal practice. Most recently, the public cutting off of the right hand and left foot of a thief in Somalia caused an international sensation.

The type of punishment for thieves is recorded in Surah 5:38 in the Koran as a “warning from Allah,” but it is not used in modern Islam. In Islamist circles with a harsh interpretation of the law (Sharia), on the other hand, it is. For repeat offenders, there is the option of chopping off the right hand as well as the option of severing the left foot.

Was a gang member punished at the U6 station for repeatedly betraying and stealing from his accomplices?

The police say nothing about that, either.

Viennese police are playing right into the hands of Muslim gangs and terrorists. Protecting them from the reality of their violence and insanity. In so doing, they leave native Austrians without the knowledge of just how vicious these people can be. The police have Austrian blood on their hands.

EU country repatriates ISIS-linked women

On Thursday, the Netherlands’ government said it was conducting a “special operation” to bring five Syria-based Dutch women and their 11 children to the Netherlands. The women are suspected of terrorism offenses.

In a letter to Parliament, the justice and foreign ministers said that when the women arrive they will be “arrested so that they can be prosecuted.” The 11 children will be looked after by a child welfare organization.

“With the transportation to the Netherlands, the Cabinet aims to prevent impunity for these five suspects,” Justice Minister Dilan YeÅŸilgöz-Zegerius and Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra said in their letter to lawmakers.

The decision to bring back the suspected jihadists came after a court in Rotterdam said that the criminal cases against them could be dropped if the women weren’t repatriated within months.

Millions of men, women, and children live in refugee camps across the Middle East. Some 6.7 million people have been displaced by conflict in Syria, many live in refugee camps in neighboring countries, such as Turkey and Jordan.

Among them are scores of European nationals suspected of involvement in terrorism offenses and having links with Islamic State. Many European states have been reluctant to repatriate them.

Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Hundreds of boys are missing from a Syria prison after an inmate uprising last month that brought clashes between U.S.-backed Kurdish forces and Islamic State prisoners, global watchdog Human Rights Watch said Friday.

Inmates attacked the guards at the prison, located in the Ghweran section of al-Hasakah, on Jan. 20. It took the Syrian Democratic Forces a few days to regain control of the facility.

"The Syrian Democratic Forces began evacuating men and boys from the besieged prison days ago, yet the world still has no idea how many are alive or dead," Letta Tayler, Human Rights Watch associate crisis and conflict director, said in a statement.

The Human Rights Watch report said the SDF "should immediately allow international human rights groups to visit the detainees it has evacuated or recaptured" and provide them with essential care.

Burnley man stabbed two women at M&S because it ‘funds Israel’

Feb 4, 2022 | News

A man who stabbed two women in a Marks & Spencer store in Burnley in 2020 said he did so because of his support for the Palestinians and his view that M&S was funding Israel.

Munawar Hussain, 58, wounded the manager of the store by stabbing her in the neck and chasing her through the store in Burnley, Lancashire, on 2 December 2020.

He then stabbed a customer in the arm. His attack was halted when the blade snapped as it got caught in the handbag strap of his second victim. Mr Hussain fled the store but was apprehended by a security guard and members of the public before police arrested him.

On his possession was a note written in Urdu, which read: “O Israel, you are inflicting atrocities on Palestinians and Marks Spencer helping you financially.”

Munawar Hussain has denied charges of attempted murder and pleaded not guilty to two alternative counts of wounding with intent.

He is currently on trial at Manchester Crown Court after initially being thought to have “mental health problems”, but was deemed fit for trial in March 2021.

All radical Muslims are mentally ill - Dr Wafa Sultan (sidebar)

It's funny you don't see Jews running around trying to murder BDS supporters, etc.

Alex Leach QC, prosecuting, said the defendant walked to the store from his home in Murray Street, Burnley, and launched his attack just moments after he entered and asked to speak to a manager.

“He told the police that he had targeted Marks & Spencer deliberately because he believed Marks & Spencer funded Israel in what he described as its persecution of Palestine,” Mr Leach said.

“He said that had his knife not broken he would have gone on to kill others. He said that he expected that the police might kill him and he intended to be a martyr,” he added.

According to the BBC, store manager Samantha Worthington suffered a collapsed lung and nerve damage from the blow which passed near her jugular vein.

She told police her assailant was wearing a Covid mask and recalled his eyes “looked pure evil”.

“If I had fallen he would have killed me. I just thought he is not taking me away from my kids,” she said.

Jurors were told Mr Hussain does not dispute stabbing Ms Worthington and customer Janet Dell and the issue for them to decide was what his intention was at the time.

Judge Nicholas Dean QC, the Honorary Recorder of Manchester, told them: “The prosecution say that Mr Hussain had a terrorist motive for his actions. Even if you are sure he had such motivation it does not necessarily follow he had an intent to kill.”

When you just miss the jugular vein, I think that qualifies as attempted murder.

The prosecution say it was “overwhelmingly clear” from the evidence that Mr Hussain had such intentions.

The trial is ongoing, but it currently appears this was a violent attack terrorist fuelled by antisemitic hatred of Israel.

Last year, CUFI UK wrote an in-depth story in our Torch Magazine about the Zionism of Marks & Spencer’s founders. A partnership that played a significant role in Britain’s support for the State of Israel. If you would like to read more about this story, please click here.

Regardless of your views on the Israel-Palestinian conflict, there is no justification for attacking workers at an M&S branch. There is also no attempt by CUFI UK to say that the history of M&S demonstrates the current position of the company.

Sadly, the terrorist act carried out by Munawar Hussain, along with his desire to die a martyr, is all too common a theme within extremist Islamist views, including Palestinian terrorists carrying out atrocities against Jews in Israel. This mindset strikes at the heart of the Israel-Palestinian conflict and is one of the reasons there is not yet peace in Israel.

The Messiah is coming soon!

Suspected Jihadist cell targeted by police in EU state, 13 detained

Thirteen people were detained on Tuesday on suspicion of having links to a jihadist group, following numerous police raids in and around the Belgian port city of Antwerp.

Anti-terrorism magistrates had given approval for the raids, which involved more than 100 officers, as part of a wider investigation into Jihadist activities in the region, federal prosecutors said in a statement.

“An Antwerp group within the Salafist jihadist milieu has come under scrutiny and the aim of this operation was to further map out the group's activities,” the statement reads.

It adds that the 13 suspects detained will appear in front of the investigating judge who will decide whether to pursue criminal charges against them.

Belgian officials have raised concerns about Antwerp and Brussels being home to a hive of Islamist activity in the country.

Speaking in 2017, then-Interior Minister Jan Jambon said that a high proportion of the people who left Belgium to join Jihadist causes in the Middle East had come from Brussels, notably the district of Molenbeek.

Molenbeek was labeled a “hotbed for Islamism” by some officials, particularly in the aftermath of the Paris attacks of November 13, 2015, which left 130 dead. Several of the jihadists involved hailed from Molenbeek.

Meanwhile, the jihadist organization Sharia4Belgium, founded in 2010 and disbanded two years later, was based in Antwerp. A number of its members traveled to Syria to fight for Islamist groups, including ISIS.

Its former leader, Fouad Belkacem, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2015 for his role in driving recruitment for the group and was subsequently stripped of his Belgian citizenship.

Belgium itself has also been targeted by Islamist groups, with the capital hit by a double suicide bomb attack by ISIS in 2016, killing 32 people and wounding 340.
