Muslim stories from around the world > Man and Mom blow themselves up making bombs in India; 13 y/o stabs 2 adolescents and runs to UK mosque; Dad murders son for becoming a Christian in Uganda

Nothing like a mom getting involved in her son's hobbies for togetherness.

India: Muslim was making bombs with his mother on a rooftop, both died in unexpected blast

A Muslim man was making crude bombs with his mother in his rented house when events took an unforeseen turn. A powerful explosion in a residential building in Bhubaneswar killed 26-year-old Shahnawaz Malik and his 51-year-old mother, Lizatun Bibi, who were the ones making the bombs illegally in the residential area. Two others are critically injured. The incident occurred on January 27, 2026, but didn’t make news headlines until recently, even in India. According to police officials, the explosion occurred on the house’s terrace in the Azad Nagar locality under the Airfield Police Station limits, and was loud enough to be heard across the neighborhood, triggering panic among locals.

Investigators stated that Malik was handling explosive materials when the blast occurred. Both sustained severe burn injuries and later died during treatment at separate medical facilities. Two other individuals, including a close associate of Malik, remain hospitalized with critical injuries. Police recovered gunpowder and fragments consistent with crude explosive devices from the rooftop.

Reportedly, Malik was named as the primary accused in the alleged bomb-making activity; however, because he died in the explosion, no prosecution proceedings against him will follow. Authorities are examining whether any surviving associates may face charges under relevant provisions of the Explosives Act and the Indian Penal Code. Forensic teams have collected samples from the site, and electronic evidence and CCTV footage are being analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The residential property that the prime accused had rented out has also sustained major damage due to the explosion. A video that recently went viral across social networking sites had a young Kashmiri Muslim woman complaining that no one was willing to rent out their property to her after learning about her religious background. She tried her best to play the victim of discrimination based on religion in rental markets. We wonder why non-Muslims are reluctant to rent out their properties to Muslims.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in India. In December 2024, in the Sagarpara area of Murshidabad district, three men identified as Sakirul Sarkar (32), Mamon Mollah (30), and Mustakin Shiekh (28) were killed when crude bombs they were assembling exploded inside a house.  As the suspected bomb-makers died in the explosion, there were no subsequent legal proceedings against them, though investigations were carried out to determine whether others were involved in supplying materials.

Another fatal case was reported in October 2025 from the same district in West Bengal, where a man identified in reports as Usman Biswas died after a crude bomb allegedly detonated while he was making it at his residence. Police reportedly recovered several bombs from the site.

In July 2025, a crude bomb explosion in Rajoa village of Purba Bardhaman district resulted in one death and three injuries. The deceased has been identified as Barkat Sheikh, while the injured are Sheikh Toofan Chowdhury, Ibrahim Sheikh, and Safiq Mondol. Police indicated that the deceased was allegedly involved in preparing explosive devices inside an abandoned house. Officials also recovered bomb-making materials from the site during the investigations. It’s safe to say that by now we’ve identified the pattern of these explosions and the common denominator, but let’s see a few more examples.

Earlier, on a Friday afternoon in April 2017, at least eight people were killed in Darbarpur village of Birbhum district in West Bengal when bombs being assembled for local disputes exploded unexpectedly. While the local police withheld the names of the accused and injured from being released to the media, we know that the explosion took place in a Muslim neighborhood. The Times of India reports that Darbarpur villager Sajina Bibi was going through her daily chores one Friday afternoon when the blast shook her house. Her neighbour Lalchand Sheikh said: “There was tension in the two neighbouring areas of Tantipara and Kajipara for the last two days with occasional clashes.”

Outside West Bengal, in 2019, an explosion in Bhadohi district in Uttar Pradesh at a carpet manufacturing unit allegedly involved the illegal production and storage of explosive materials. The blast killed 12 people and injured several others. The blast occurred in a building owned by Kaliyar Mansoori, who was among those killed when the explosive materials detonated unexpectedly. Police also identified his sons, Irfan Mansoori and Abid Mansoori, as casualties in the explosion. Others who died in this blast were identified as Kalam, Gaffar, Azad, Israfil, Masawwar, Sukran, Qadir, and Ata-ur. There was substantial damage to the premises and neighboring structures.

Taken together, these incidents point to a recurring pattern in which Muslim individuals have been found involved in the illegal preparation or storage of crude explosive devices. In cases where operators or facilitators survive such blasts, police have registered cases and arrested suspects under the Explosives Act and other relevant criminal provisions.

Importantly, in several of these instances, the individuals involved were not reported to be members of any major terrorist organization. They were described as local residents, part of ordinary community life, and in many cases those around them did not previously perceive them as jihadis. The Bhubaneswar blast has once again drawn attention to the risks posed by jihadi elements growing within residential neighborhoods of Indian cities.

UK: Muslim boy who stabbed two other boys, one in the neck, fled to a mosque after the attack

Shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain being as compromised as it is, Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan of Counter Terrorism Policing London hastened to assure the world that “I must add at this point that we do not believe the suspect has any particular connection to the mosque.”

Of course not. Except that he is a Muslim, and that his act accords with Qur’anic commands, particularly the one that tells Muslims: “When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks” (47:4). So he went into the mosque knowing that he had carried out a command of Allah and thus gained his favor.

Britain is so far gone that the Daily Mail, the worst paper in the Western world. says: “It has not been declared a terrorist incident and police are exploring different potential motivations.”

Yeah. But he screamed “Allahu akbar” and stabbed one of his victims in the neck. This was a jihad attack, but British authorities do not acknowledge that such a thing as jihad even exists.

An update on this story.

Former pupil, 13, accused of stabbing two boys at school in North London was arrested after he was seen at a mosque

by Jordana Seal, Daily Mail, February 11, 2026:

A former pupil accused of stabbing two boys during a knife attack at a school in north London was arrested after he was seen inside a mosque.

The schoolchildren, aged 12 and 13, remain in hospital after the attack at Kingsbury High School in Brent which unfolded at lunchtime on Tuesday.

The 13-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder later that day.

The teenager, who is a British national, arrived at the school armed with a knife at at around 12.30pm.

He went up to a first floor classroom and sprayed a substance towards a pupil, who was not injured.

The suspect then stabbed a 13-year-old boy in the classroom, before running along a hallway and down a flight of stairs.

He then stabbed a 12-year-old boy on the ground floor, before fleeing the school.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan, of Counter Terrorism Policing London said: ‘Armed police attended the school and a manhunt was immediately stood up to try and locate and detain the suspect as quickly as possible….

‘I must add at this point that we do not believe the suspect has any particular connection to the mosque.’…

It has not been declared a terrorist incident and police are exploring different potential motivations….

I'm sure if they dig hard enough, they will discover a motivation that has absolutely nothing to do with the truth.

Shocked students took to social media last night to reveal how the stabbings took place in a science classroom.

One girl revealed on TikTok: ‘I saw this happen, blood all over the floor wondering ‘is that paint?’ and then seeing a boy with blood all over his neck covering it with his hands….

Uganda: Muslim stabs his son to death with long knife for converting to Christianity from Islam

The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law. It’s based on the Qur’an: “They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)

A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.

This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-‘ashriyyah, Al-Ja’fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”

Qaradawi also once famously said: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”

Muslim in Uganda Kills Adult Son for Accepting Christ

Morning Star News, February 19, 2026:

NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – A Muslim in Uganda stabbed his son to death with a long knife for converting to Christianity last month, sources said.

Hamba Ahammada, 62, of Butaleja District killed his 33-year-old son, Hamba Juma, with a long knife known locally as a panga on Jan. 28 in Iganga District along the Kaliro-Iganga road about five kilometers from Iganga town, said the slain man’s wife, Nangobi Mariati.

Hamba Juma was father to four children, ages 12, 10, 7 and 3….

“When he reached there, my father-in-law picked up the panga and started cutting my husband, and he disappeared,” Mariati said. “But it seems that it was a planned move, because immediately people tried to look for him and they couldn’t see him.”

A neighbor told her that he previously saw a motorcycle rushing at high speed into town from the wilderness, she said.

“We suspect that maybe he was the one helping him to escape the scene of the crime,” Mariati said tearfully. “My husband screamed for help, we tried to make it to the hospital, but there he was pronounced dead.”

Mariati said her husband was killed because he and she had converted to Christianity from Islam.

“My father-in-law together with other family members have been insulting us, sending harsh words promising to kill all of us for leaving Islam,” she told Morning Star News.

At this writing police had not investigated….
