Young man in Egypt murdered by colleague using bulldozer

‘because he is Christian'

Open Doors, July 12, 2023:

A young man in Egypt was tragically murdered by a colleague who later told police, “I hate Christians; I killed him because he is Christian.”

Fadi was an architect who had been working for the company for several years, with Mohammed recently joining as a bulldozer driver. On 15 May, a week after Fadi’s birthday, Mohammed was in the bulldozer when he turned from digging to attack Fadi, who was overseeing work. Fadi tried to escape but Mohammed pursued him until he was killed.

Family forgives killer

Mohammed confessed to the crime and spent four days in prison, before being sent to a mental health hospital for treatment. It’s unclear to what extent, if at all, psychological issues contributed to this attack, but they are often cited by Muslim extremists to explain their attacks against Christians to avoid prosecution – and it works.

Like so many families who’ve been affected by persecution in Egypt, there is no guarantee that Fadi’s family will receive justice from the legal system. Despite this uncertainty and the anguish they are in, they have already decided to forgive Mohammed….

Aside from personal reasons, those who hate Christians for no real reason are of the AntiChrist.

New York: Muslim migrant helped supply ‘thousands’ of recruits

from Western countries to the Islamic State

JUL 16, 2023 5:00 PM
BY ROBERT SPENCER

Why did all these Western Muslims fall for the supposedly twisted and hijacked version of Islam that the Islamic State offers? Why didn’t the peaceful, benign Islam that they supposedly learned in their local mosques prevail?

US Islamic State recruiter sentenced to life in New York court

The New Arab, July 15, 2023

A Kosovo-born US man who helped supply “thousands” of recruits to the Islamic State group was sentenced to life in prison Friday for helping the extremist group, the Justice Department announced.

Mirsad Kandic
, 40, was a high-ranking member of the jihadist group between 2013 and 2017, when it controlled large swathes of Iraq and Syria, the Justice Department said.

In 2013 he left his home in New York and traveled to Syria, where he joined IS, becoming a fighter in Haritan outside of Aleppo.

Then he was directed to move to Turkey to help smuggle foreign fighters and weapons for the group into Syria, it said.

He was also an emir for IS media, the department said, disseminating the group’s propaganda and recruitment messages online, including via more than 120 Twitter accounts.

As recruiter, “he sent thousands of radicalized ISIS volunteer fighters from Western countries into ISIS-controlled territories in Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East,” the Justice Department said, using another acronym for IS….

West Bank: Outrage after Palestinian Authority forces arrest journalist

by Fayha Shalash, Middle East Eye, July 15, 2023:

Anger has spread across the occupied Palestinian territories following the arrest of a prominent journalist by the Palestinian Authority’s security forces.

Aqil Awawdeh
’s family said that forces from the Palestinian Preventive Security Service raided his workplace in Ramallah on Thursday afternoon, arrested him and transferred him to an unknown destination.

The arrest came after he published a short video disputing a claim made by the spokesperson of the Palestinian security services that there were no political detainees in their prisons….

Of course, truth never gets in the way of a good propaganda statement by Palestinians.

The Cybercrime Law was passed in 2017 after the approval of the PA president, Mahmoud Abbas. Despite objections to the law by civil society institutions, especially human rights groups, it is still in effect.

As a result, dozens of Palestinians have been arrested and indictments submitted….

Asmaa Harish, a human rights campaigner and journalist, said that 40 detainees were being held by the Palestinian security services on political grounds.

She added that more than 300 cases of political arrests had been recorded since the beginning of 2023 in the occupied West Bank, including university students, journalists and activists……

Fatah tries to help terrorists escape after jihad attack on Israeli family

JUL 17, 2023 11:00 AM
BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS

Following a brazen attack by a Palestinian jihadist who opened fire on a Jewish family in a car in Judea and Samaria, Fatah stepped in with orders “to erase security cameras and fill streets with burning tires and garbage cans to slow down the army” to help the jihadist escape. The gunman was later caught.

Fatah is Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ official party, and the world tolerates just about anything from them. Recently, Fatah boasted “that its members have carried out most of the recent terrorism against Israelis,” and called for “more violence against Israel.”

That the world turns a blind eye to the aiding and abetting of jihad terror against Jews by these Palestinian dignitaries is telling.

Fatah tried to help terrorists escape after today’s terror attack

by  Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, July 16, 2023:

Following today’s attack, Fatah called to erase security cameras and fill streets with burning tires and garbage cans to slow down the army:
“In a simple step, do now: Delete the last 48 hours of recordings.”

“Close the streets with [garbage] containers and burning tires”

[Fatah Bethlehem, Telegram]

This morning a Palestinian terrorist from Bethlehem shot and seriously wounded an Israeli man 37-year-old Elroe Kapah and slightly injured his two daughters, Abigail age 14, and Rachel age 9. In its search for the terrorist, the Israeli army closed several roads in and around Bethlehem. In response, Fatah’s Bethlehem branch publicized on its Telegram Channel the roads that Israel had closed, and called on all residents of those areas to erase all street security videos that Israel could use to track the movement of the terrorist:

Fatah Bethlehem, Telegram:
“Update at 10:24 AM, Road Condition:

The container checkpoint is closed to those leaving
DCO checkpoint towards Beit Jala is closed
Bethlehem’s southern checkpoint is closed
Aqbat Hasna is closed
The entrance to Jinana is closed
The entrance to Beit Sa’ir from the Wadi Sa’ir side is closed
The entrances to Beit Fajar are closed
The entrances to the Al-Aroub camp are closed”
For our residents in the areas indicated above:

Delete all camera recordings in the last two days

Don’t be of help to the occupation (i.e., Israel)

In a simple step, do now:

Delete the last 48 hours of recordings.”

[Fatah Bethlehem, Telegram, July 16, 2023]

This call to hinder the army was followed up twice at 1:54 and 2:07 with further calls to block the streets and prevent the army from easy access to search for the terrorist…

Those responsible for this should be arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and have their homes and offices bulldozed.

Speaking at the Tunisian presidential palace, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hailed the accord that aims to "invest in shared prosperity".

She was accompanied by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Dutch Premier Mark Rutte, who were all in Tunisia last month for talks on the accord.

"We need an effective cooperation, more than ever" on migration, von der Leyen said, announcing greater cooperation against "networks of smugglers and traffickers" and in search and rescue operations.

The EU has sought ways to support Tunisia in a bid to stem the flow of migrants attempting perilous sea journeys from the North African country in hopes of reaching Europe.

Meloni welcomed "a new and important step to deal with the migration crisis", and invited Tunisia's President Kais Saied to an international conference on migration on July 23.

Rutte said both the European Union and "the Tunisian people" stand to benefit from the agreement, noting that the EU is Tunisia's biggest trading partner.

In June, von der Leyen had offered Tunisia 105 million euros to support measure to curb irregular migration, 150 million euros in immediate support and 900 million euros in long-term aid.

But the money would be contingent on approval of the nearly $2 billion loan currently under negotiation with the International Monetary Fund.

Von der Leyen said the EU remains "ready to support Tunisia" and provide the funds "as soon as the necessary conditions are met".
