Could removing Christians from the Middle East be
God preparing these countries for destruction?

There is a “deep danger” that Christians will disappear from the Middle East, Pope Francis has warned, blaming “murderous indifference” to violence that has forced tens of thousands of Christians to flee their homes.
Speaking to leaders of Middle East churches in the Italian city of Bari on Saturday, the pontiff said there is a “danger that the presence of our brothers and sisters in the faith will disappear, disfiguring the very face of the region.” He added that a Middle East without Christians “would not be the Middle East.”
In his opening prayer, Francis described the Middle East as being “covered by dark clouds of war, violence, and destruction, instances of occupation and varieties of fundamentalism, forced migration, and neglect.” All of that, he said, “has taken place amid the complicit silence of many.”
The pontiff went on to address the “indifference” exhibited by regional powers to have sought power and profit at the expense of people in the region. “Indifference kills, and we desire to lift up our voices in opposition to this murderous indifference.”
Indifferent regional powers would refer to governments of countries that are entirely Islamic. Very few Islamic countries have much interest in protecting Christians. Egypt and Turkey make an effort, but a woefully inadequate one. The rest make no effort whatsoever.
Unfortunately, Main Stream Media completely ignores the plight of Christians in the Middle East or North Africa. And, the UN is also mostly disinterested in the fate of Christians because the UNSC consists of mostly Muslim countries and countries governed by liberal (read: anti-Christian) governments. Liberal governments are not just guilty of ignoring Christianity, they are blatantly at war with Christianity. Unfortunately, too many of us Christians act so unbecoming of Christ that we have provoked that war.
He denounced the weapons trade that fuels wars in the region, and appealed to global powers to end their “thirst for profit that surreptitiously exploits oil and gas fields without regard for our common home, with no scruples about the fact that the energy market now dictates the law of co-existence among peoples.”
At the end of his address, the pontiff expressed hope that through prayer and working together, the “art of encounter will prevail over strategies of conflict.”
Francis has long been an outspoken opponent of wars. In November, he called them “useless massacres” that “produce nothing other than cemeteries and death.”
Of course, that's not true. War produces great wealth for the military industrial complex. Peace stops the flow of inventory. Arms merchants need war to keep the inventory flowing and they don't care in the least how many thousands or millions of people are killed, maimed, raped, exploited, or displaced, as long as the money keeps coming in. This is Deep State! And no-one gets in their way!
The proportion of Christians living in the Middle East has fallen from 20 percent before WWI to four percent today, according to the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
As to my sub-title, is it possible that God is removing Christians from the Middle East preparatory to the destruction of Islam? God removed Lot and his wife and 2 daughters from Sodom and Gomorrah just before destroying them. He removed the Israelites from Egypt before destroying the Pharoah and his army.
Both Old Testament and New Testament scriptures prophesy a massive attack on Israel by what are now Islamic countries. In the end, Jesus Christ, not the USA, destroys the invading armies. This will, of course, devastate the Islamic countries of the Middle East and North Africa in so many ways. it will leave them destitute, in chaos, and vulnerable to attack from within and without.
This may or may not coincide exactly with the return of Christ, but in either case, Islam will be finished.
