Islamization of Europe > NHS astonishing decision to restore extremist doctor; Germany shuts down 4 Shiite mosques; Everything is free in Germany for Arabs, apparently; French radical threatens everyone

UK: NHS clears jihadi physician to return to work

despite being outed as Hizb ut-Tahrir leader

Dr. Abdul Wahid, whose real name is Wahid Shaida, was the UK leader of Hizb ut-Tahrir. This man is based in Harrow, northwest London, where he has been working since 2002. He also had the responsibility for training doctors, which he is no longer doing.

There should be a public outrage against the obviously woke National Health Service (NHS) England panel for clearing Shaida to work. The panel, whose members’ identities have been protected from accountability, has chosen to undermine public trust, thus arousing patient suspicion regarding who may be treating them. Jihadists are on a deadly mission of conquest, and once exposed, they have no place living in “infidel” Western society, let alone occupying positions of trust which may involve vulnerability, such as treating patients.

Shame on the NHS panel, which also disregarded the rights of Shaida’s coworkers to feel safe in their work environment. Many of his colleagues might have concerns, which they will be reluctant to express for fear of working alongside a terrorist, and because they would be the ones targeted for being “Islamophobic.”

’Jihad’ GP who was exposed as the leader of banned extremist

group Hizb ut-Tahrir is cleared by NHS to resume work

by Shaun Wooller, Daily Mail, July 23, 2024:

A GP suspended after The Mail on Sunday exposed him as the leader of a banned extremist group has been cleared to return to work.

Abdul Wahid, 55, was the leader of Hizb ut-Tahrir, which called for jihad on the streets of London days after the Hamas terror attack on Israel last October.

The extremist chief himself praised the attack as a ‘welcome punch on the nose’ for Israel.

But a week after the march, the MoS uncovered Wahid’s identity, revealing how he had been practising as a GP for more than 20 years under his real name, Wahid Asif Shaida.

Patients at the suburban surgery in north-west London had no idea of his double life as the UK head of a global extremist group.

NHS England suspended Wahid and, in January, the then home secretary James Cleverly proscribed Hizb ut-Tahrir as a terror group, making membership punishable with a jail term of up to 14 years.

However, an NHS England panel has now cleared him to return to work following an investigation into his alleged conduct.

An NHS London spokesman said…

‘No evidence was found that he has had involvement with Hizb ut-Tahrir since the organisation was proscribed. The panel found there was insufficient evidence to warrant removing Dr Shaida from the performers’ list….

Within hours of the October 7 attacks, Wahid told a podcast that Hamas terrorists were ‘brave mujahideen’ who gave the enemy ‘a very welcome punch on the nose’….

Much better for NHS to endanger Jews than to slight a radical Muslim. That's Islamization.

German authorities ban Islamic Center Hamburg,

German authorities ban Islamic Centre Hamburg, citing Iran influence

DPA, July 24, 2024:

German authorities on Wednesday banned the Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH), an organization that domestic intelligence considers to be controlled by Iran.

To enforce the ban, which was published in the Federal Gazette and also affects five affiliated organizations, officers searched the IZH inside the Imam Ali Mosque in Hamburg as well as premises in eight other states early in the morning.

Dozens of police officers were seen cordoning off the Imam Ali Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, in Hamburg, a Shiite mosque run by the IZH that is located in an upmarket area on the shore of the northern German city’s Outer Alster Lake.

According to a dpa reporter, several police officers stormed the building of a Shiite organization in Berlin’s Tempelhof district at around the same time.

Germany’s domestic intelligence service has classified the IZH as extremist.

The IZH aggressively and militantly spread the ideology of the Iranian “Revolutionary Leader” and the so-called “Islamic Revolution” in Germany, according to a statement by the German Interior Ministry.

“It is very important to me to make a clear distinction here: we are not acting against a religion,” German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said, assuring that the peaceful practice of the Shiite faith is explicitly unaffected by the ban.

In total, four Shiite mosques have been shut down as part of the ban, according to the statement.

Germany is home to some 150 to 200 Shiite communities.

The IZH is considered an important propaganda centre for Tehran in Europe. The state-level branch of the domestic intelligence service in Hamburg has been monitoring the organization since the 1990s.

Germany: Muslim migrant shoplifts, explains

‘I’m an Arab and don’t have to pay’

Given how generous Germany is with Muslim migrants, it’s understandable that he would think this way.

Also, non-Muslims paying for the upkeep of Muslims is a Qur’anic dictate:

“Fight against those do not believe in Allah or the last day, and do not forbid what Allah and his messenger have forbidden, and do not follow the religion of truth, even if they are among the people of the book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Qur’an 9:29).

The caliph Umar said the jizya payments from the dhimmis were the source of the Muslims’ livelihood:

“Narrated Juwairiya bin Qudama at-Tamimi: We said to Umar bin Al-Khattab, ‘O Chief of the believers! Advise us.’ He said, ‘I advise you to fulfill Allah’s Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis.)’” (Bukhari 4.53.388)

UK jihad preacher Anjem Choudary said in February 2013:

“We are on Jihad Seekers Allowance, We take the Jizya (protection money paid to Muslims by non-Muslims) which is ours anyway. The normal situation is to take money from the Kafir (non-Muslim), isn’t it? So this is normal situation. They give us the money. You work, give us the money. Allah Akbar, we take the money. Hopefully there is no one from the DSS (Department of Social Security) listening. Ah, but you see people will say you are not working. But the normal situation is for you to take money from the Kuffar (non-Muslim) So we take Jihad Seeker’s Allowance.”

Syrian after stealing from gas station:

‘I’m an Arab and don’t have to pay'

translated from “Syrer nach Diebstahl in Tankstelle: „Ich bin Araber und muss nichts bezahlen“,” Exxpress, July 21, 2024 (thanks to Medforth):

A particularly brazen case of shoplifting occurred in Thuringia on Saturday. A 27-year-old Syrian entered a gas station in Oberroßla, a district of the city of Apolda in the Weimarer Land district.

He purposefully asked the sales staff for a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and an energy drink, the police reported. But the young man apparently didn’t give any thought to paying. The staff’s requests to please pay for the goods went unheeded. Instead, the Syrian left the store.

When asked about the theft, he also gave a suitable reason for not handing over the money: he was an Arab and did not have to pay anything, the man explained. The police were then called. The officers caught the thief and his stolen goods near the gas station and began an investigation against him.

France: Muslim tells his probation counselor:

‘I will slit your throats as well as this prosecutor’

‘You are an unbeliever, I will slit your throat, as well as this prosecutor’:

Fiché S, tried before the Perpignan court, had threatened his probation advisor

translated from “”Tu es une mécréante, je vais t’égorger, ainsi que ce procureur” : le Fiché S, jugé devant le tribunal de Perpignan, avait menacé sa conseillère de probation,” by Guy Bosschaerts, L’Indépendant, July 22, 2024 (thanks to Medforth):

The man, file S, was prosecuted for “death threats against a person responsible for public service and because of his religion.” Acts committed from Toulouse between June 11 and 18, 2024.

“We, the warriors of Allah, are on our way. I will slit your throats as well as this prosecutor.”

This is how the lawyer Massot reproduces the text sent to his client by the defendant. The complainant is a probation counselor from Perpignan. She had the misfortune of having to follow up with a particularly difficult man. The latter, aged 40, converted to Islam in 1994, according to his statements, and became radicalized. Which he admits to and stands by.

After serving a prison sentence, already for threats, he was required to undergo judicial follow-up, which notably requires him to report any change of address. When his advisor tells him that he cannot move from Le Havre to Perpignan and then go to Toulouse, and that he must provide her with an email from the sentencing judge, the man gets angry and threats fly. He sends her an angry email: “You don’t deserve to live, I’ll let you imagine yourself dying and having your throat cut.”

The man is Fiché S; intimidation is taken very seriously.  The judiciary sent the Raid to arrest him in Toulouse.

In France, a fiche S is an indicator used by law enforcement to flag an individual considered to be a serious threat to national security. The S stands for Sûreté de l'État. It is the highest level of such a warning in France; it allows surveillance but is not cause for arrest.

“He needs treatment for his disorders and help to deradicalize him”

In court, he explains that he was so threatening “to mark the occasion, because it prevents me from living like a Muslim. It changes the laws.” To the judge, he said “I don’t think I would have carried out the act.”

The prosecutor is up in arms, he recalls another message sent by the defendant: “You over there, you are an unbeliever, you stink of Jew.” “He lives a radical Islam and could one day take action,” he fears, demanding 2 years of detention.

“The expert says he suffers from mental disorders,” pleads Mr. Diallo. “He grants him an impairment of discernment. What he needs is treatment for his disorders and help to deradicalize himself.”

“I came to the absolute conviction that it is impossible…impossible…

for any human being to read the biography of Mohammed and believe in it,

and then emerge a psychologically and mentally healthy person.”

- Syrian Psychiatrist Dr. Wafa Sultan

The court found him guilty: 2 years in prison and 3 years banned from appearing in the Pyrénées-Orientales department, because, the judges believe, “there is a major risk of recidivism!”

Murder on the open street: What is the guilt of the Green Minister?

Translated from “Mord auf offener Straße: Welche Schuld trägt der grüne Minister?

Junge Freiheit, September 11, 2023

WIESLOCH/STUTTGART. The African Ahmad N. escaped from the forensic psychiatric hospital in Wiesloch and shortly afterwards killed a 30-year-old saleswoman. The murder is now bringing criticism to the Baden-Württemberg Social Minister Manfred Lucha (Greens).

On Friday, the 33-year-old man, who came to Germany as an asylum seeker, used the opportunity to go to “work therapy” to escape from the Nordbaden Psychiatric Center. He ran from the clinic grounds into downtown Wiesloch. His companions lost sight of him. Even the police who were called couldn’t prevent what happened next.

The violent criminal, known to the police, apparently stabbed the saleswoman Lisa S at random at 1 p.m. The 30-year-old was working in the “Tedi” discount store. The store is located in the “Kubus am Adenauer” shopping center. The man, who had been declared not guilty by a court for assault, coercion and insult, had apparently stolen the knife from a bakery beforehand.

The city of 26,000 inhabitants, located 13 kilometers south of Heidelberg, is in shock. Many residents laid flowers and lit candles at the crime scene. The conditions in the prison system are considered unacceptable for the employees. The AfD parliamentary group spoke of “scandalous underfunding of the enforcement of measures.” Social Minister Manfred Lucha (Greens) must “explain to the state parliament how such a disastrous incident could have occurred.”

There is a “massive shortage of staff and space,” said Baden-Württemberg SPD MP Florian Wahl. There are also structural defects. The politician made serious allegations against Lucha. He has known about the untenable conditions for years and has not changed the situation. The SPD is calling for a special session of the state parliament to enforce measures.

The police arrested Ahmad N. shortly after the murder under the “threat of using firearms.” Once again he was not taken into custody, but sent back to the psychiatric clinic. The district judge justified the decision by saying that he assumed that the man was incapable of crime.

Whaaaat? It seems the judge is more insane than the murderer.

France: Three Muslim teens arrested, were ‘considering

Indre-et-Loire: three radicalized minors suspected of violent plans indicted

Translated from “Indre-et-Loire : trois mineurs radicalisés soupçonnés de projets violents mis en examen,” la Nouvelle République, September 15, 2023

Arrested at the end of August and beginning of September in Joué-lès-Tours (Indre-et-Loire), they were indicted in Paris by an anti-terrorism judge.

Three minors aged 15 and 16, “radicalized” and suspected of “violent plans” or of wanting to go to Syria, were arrested at the end of August and beginning of September in Joué-lès-Tours (Indre-et-Loire) and placed in custody. examination in Paris by an anti-terrorism judge, AFP learned Friday from a source close to the case.

They were arrested by the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) after being spotted “testing homemade explosives”, detailed this source.

The three were indicted in Paris, two of them having been imprisoned and the third placed under judicial supervision, it was specified.

A “home visit confirmed their radicalization, their attraction to Islamist ideology,” this source said.

The three teenagers manifested themselves “through fairly strong online activity” and they “consumed and relayed propaganda on a number of platforms,” including “a video game platform and a Telegram channel.”

One of the teenagers “had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State” and wanted to “join the IS in the area,” in Syria, it was further specified.

The others were “considering a plan for violent action.” They had created “groups on encrypted messaging,” but “were not about to take action,” said the source, also indicating that they had “recognized their ideology quite widely.”

As in recent arrests of radicalized young people, these are “once again young profiles, undoubtedly with an element of immaturity, of adolescent discontent,” detailed the source close to the case.

But there are “tangible elements of propaganda dissemination, allegiance and a level of radicalism” in this file.

It is these radicals who belong in an asylum, segregated from society that they hate so much.

EU pledges return of migrants from overwhelmed Italian island

amid call for naval blockade

Nearly 7,000 migrants arrived on Lampedusa on boats from Tunisia in single day

The Associated Press · Posted: Sep 17, 2023 12:43 PM PDT | Last Updated: September 17

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, centre, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, third from right, visit the island of Lampedusa on Sunday. The island, which is closer to Tunisia than the Italian mainland, has seen a large influx of migrants in the past week. (Cecilia Fabiano/LaPresse/The Associated Press)

European Union Commission President Ursula von der Leyen pledged the swift return of "irregular" migrants and a crackdown on the "brutal business" of migrant smuggling on Sunday during a visit with Italy's prime minister to a tiny fishing island overwhelmed with nearly 7,000 arrivals in a single day this week.

Tensions have spiked on Lampedusa, an island closer to Tunisia than the Italian mainland, with residents expressing impatience with the constant flow of migrants trying to reach Europe from North Africa arriving on their shores — not just this week but for decades.

Have they considered giving Lampedusa to Tunisia?

Migrants who spoke to CBC News said they were fleeing sectarian violence and domestic abuse, among other issues, and with little resources to support them on Lampedusa, they must rely on the benevolence of locals for food and water.

Of course, they know they have to say that in order to qualify for asylum.

"We will decide who comes to the European Union, and under what circumstances. Not the smugglers," von der Leyen declared after touring the island's hot spot. The Red Cross said 1,500 migrants remained in the centre built to accommodate 400 people. With no space at the centre, many migrants have been sleeping in cots on the side of the road.

In the face of the new crisis on Lampedusa, far-right Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has pledged tougher measures and is calling for a naval blockade of North Africa to prevent migrants on smugglers' boats from departing.

Von der Leyen's vow to crack down on migrant smuggling and help Italy cope with the spike in arrivals as part of a 10-point plan appeared to stop short of a naval blockade. She instead offered support for "exploring options to expand existing naval missions in the Mediterranean, or to work on new ones."

The plan also includes speeding funds to Tunisia as part of a deal with the EU to block departures in exchange for aid, helping Italy accelerate asylum requests and setting up humanitarian corridors in countries of origin to discourage illegal routes.

This tiny Italian island isn't equipped to keep up with the thousands of migrants arriving from North Africa. An estimated 8,000 people have flooded Lampedusa in the past week, doubling the island's population and straining resources.

She also pledged the Frontex border agency's support in ensuring "the swift return of migrants to their country of origin" who don't qualify to stay in the EU, working with the countries of origin.

Von der Leyen also called on European nations to accept voluntary transfers — a frequent source of discord — as the EU dispatches experts to help manage and register the high number of migrants arriving in Italy.

"It is very important for me [to be here] because irregular migration is a European challenge and it needs a European answer. So we are in this together," she said.

Visit called 'gesture of responsibility'

Meloni, who has softened her once-combative stance against the EU since coming to power last year, framed von der Leyen's visit as a "gesture of responsibility of Europe toward itself," and not just a sign of solidarity with Italy.

"If we don't work seriously all together to fight the illegal departures, the numbers of this phenomenon will not only overwhelm the border countries, but all of the others," Meloni said.

She continued to press for an "efficient" naval blockade, noting that previous EU missions were not properly carried out, resulting in a Mediterranean deployment that Meloni alleges encouraged smuggler departures — a contention that is disputed by migrant experts.

The Italian government intends to quickly activate a system for repatriating migrants who are not eligible to stay in Europe as part of measures to be decided by Monday, Meloni said.

Save the Children, an international NGO, expressed hopes that the visit by the two leaders would bring concrete responses, and it called for a European structure to search for and rescue migrants in danger at sea.

Televised images showed Meloni speaking to islanders expressing their frustrations, telling them the government was working on a robust response, including more than $70 million Cdn to help the island.

New arrivals have also chafed at the long wait to be transferred to the mainland. TV footage on Saturday showed hundreds surging toward the gate as police used shields to hold them back. In other shots, individual migrants climbed over the fence of the migrant centre.

The crisis is challenging unity within the EU and also Meloni's government.

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, head of the populist, right-wing League, has challenged the efficacy of an EU-Tunisia deal that was meant to halt departures in exchange for economic aid. He hosted French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen at an annual League rally in northern Italy later Sunday.

In her remarks, Le Pen lashed out at "those leaders who don't realize there are signs of alarm and danger from the massive arrival of migrants on Lampedusa," which she said created "trouble for the population when leaders don't take action immediately to face this giant challenge."

Most of the migrants arriving this week departed from Tunisia on small, unseaworthy boats.

The number of migrants making the perilous sea journey to Italy has nearly doubled from last year and is on pace to reach the record numbers of 2016, when most migrants left from Libya.

Thanks to NATO countries taking of Moammar Ghaddafi, almost like it was planned.

UK: Muslim who killed 3 while screaming ‘Allahu akbar’ says
‘I’m going to paradise for the jihad what I did to them’

Remember, when you read this story and this one about “Islamophobia” that efforts to combat this allegedly growing and yet persistently ill-defined phenomenon will inevitably remove obstacles that prevent people of like mind with Khairi Saadallah from emulating him. Counterterror efforts and honest analysis of the motivating ideology behind jihad violence have been dismissed as “Islamophobia” for years. Now, in these last days of the freedom of speech, expect such analysis to be criminalized.

“Khairi Saadallah: Terrorist who murdered three in ‘brutal’ Reading attack
gets whole life sentence”
by Duncan Gardham, Sky News,
January 11, 2021:

A terrorist who stabbed three people to death in a park in Reading – because he believed the pandemic heralded the end of the world – has been handed a rare whole life sentence.

Khairi Saadallah
, a Libyan refugee, pleaded guilty to three counts of murder after killing James Furlong, David Wails and Joseph Ritchie-Bennett in Forbury Gardens on 20 June last year.

Saadallah “executed” each man with a single knife blow to the back of the head in the space of less than 30 seconds, the Old Bailey heard.

The 26-year-old also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Stephen Young, Patrick Edwards and Nishit Nisudan, who were injured in the attack.

Speaking on behalf of James Furlong’s family, Gary Furlong said “serious questions need to be answered” about how Saadallah was in a position to perform these attacks….

Several witnesses reported Saadallah yelling “Allahu Akbar” and a Muslim bystander heard him say in Arabic: “God accept my jihad.”

After his arrest, he told police: “Those men I killed were wrong ‘uns, they deserved it. I’m going to paradise for the jihad what I did to them.”…

Saadallah, it appears, was afraid the world would end without him having murdered some non-Muslims. Obviously, he felt unfit to enter paradise until he had done so. This is Islam!

More than 50 killed during Israeli airstrikes in Syria

Jan. 13 (UPI) -- More than 50 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor Wednesday morning targeting Hezbollah, Iranian forces and their proxies, according to the British-based nonprofit Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The organization said the airstrikes appeared to focus on warehouses and ammunition depots belonging to Iranian forces, Hezbollah based in Lebanon and the Fatemiyoun Brigade.

Israeli missiles hit the Ayyash warehouses, Sa'ka camp and other positions on the outskirts of Deir Ezzor, along with positions, weapons warehouses and ammunition depots in the Al-Bokamal desert. The attacks also included positions and warehouses in the Al-Mayadeen desert.

SOHR said 18 sites were hit in all and 57 people were killed in the raid.

The news organization Al-Mayadeen, which has ties to Hezbollah, said the targets had been evacuated before the attacks and did not report any casualties.

At least they admitted to being there.

Wednesday's attack was the third blamed on Israel over the past three weeks. Israeli military hit locations in southern Syria last Wednesday, targeting weapons depots, observation points and radar sites belonging to the Syrian military and militias.

Islamist murderers are playing the UK justice system, denying victims justice,
putting the public at risk & making mugs of us all

As innocent bodies pile up, clever lawyers are finding legal loopholes to spare terrorists deportation, the intelligence services are losing track of those on watchlists and killers on whole life terms cause mayhem behind bars.

Terrorist Khairi Saadallah (see above) may be settling in for a whole-life prison term but his conviction for the murder of three men and the attempted murder of three more in Reading on a warm summer night last year doesn’t hide the fact that he has played the British government for mugs – and he is not alone.

Trained as a killer in Libya and with a record of criminal offences, prison sentences and serious mental health alerts, the home secretary’s inability to deport Saadallah after his release from prison – on the grounds that Libya is a failed state – two weeks before the attacks, shows just how adept Priti Patel’s despised ‘lefty lawyers’ have become in undermining justice for even the most egregious offences.

Video footage taken by police the day before his murderous rampage shows a shifty, evasive Saadallah in conversation with a policeman who seems determined to adopt the ‘buddy’ approach. Saadallah circles his grim flat and unconsciously stands guard over the area around his bed where a supermarket bag containing a knife bought for murder lies uncontested by the officer. Clearly something is up.

It’s not 20-20 hindsight. It is plain he does not want the policeman poking his nose around. Yet nothing was done and the next day, three men lay dead in a park having been murdered with an executioner’s precision as their killer yelled his devotion to Allah.

Once in court, the killer unconvincingly insisted he was not inspired by religious extremism, despite being overheard saying “God accept my jihad” by a witness to his evil deeds. With that strategy clearly a no-go, he then tried to persuade the judge that mental health issues were the root cause. He, and his lawyers, were fully aware that a court held little sympathy for a cold-blooded Islamist killer, better to play the victim of a failed state or purported voices in his head than admit the truth.

While Saadallah’s lawyers managed to convince the authorities that Libya was no place for their man, it seems the UN-backed Tripoli government was functioning just fine when the UK requested that it extradite Hashem Abedi (2nd story on link), the brother of evil suicide bomber Salman Abedi, for his role in the atrocity launched at an Arianna Grande gig at the Manchester Arena.

Abedi was arrested in Libya shortly after the 2017 attack and extradited back to the UK by the Libya Special Deterrence Force in 2019 to face trial. So the reasoning seems to be that when help from Tripoli is needed then it’s deemed a functioning government but when deportation is being disputed, it’s no place to send even the most evil of men.

Instead, we keep them here and they make friends with each other in our maximum security prisons so they can plan attacks on those in charge of guarding them. Just like Abedi did with oddball Parsons Green Tube bomber Ahmed Hassan last May for which the pair, and another accomplice, were today charged with assaulting a prison officer in Belmarsh jail and now face trial in April.

Hassan was never really one to operate under the radar prior to his September 2017 attack and told immigration officials that he had been trained to kill in Iraq by Islamic State jihadists.

Unbelievably, still this failed to raise a red flag and he was allowed to plan and execute a bomb on a packed train that left 50 people injured.

So blissfully unaware of his inclinations was the local authority responsible for this deeply troubled young man that 10 days before he detonated a home-made bomb on a rush hour tube it was reported everything seemed hunky-dory and they were thinking of closing his case file.

And the list goes on.

Earlier that year, on April 7, in 82 seconds of mayhem, Khalid Masood drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing six people – he knifed PC Keith Palmer to death at the gates of Parliament – and injuring 50 more. Again, he was no stranger to law enforcement.

Just a few months later, three terrorists ran amok at London’s famous Borough Market near London Bridge in June, ploughing their van loaded with petrol bombs into pedestrians before running amok, slashing and stabbing at random, killing eight people and injuring 48 more before they were unequivocally dealt-with by heavily-armed police.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack carried out by those jihadists: Khuram Butt, Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba. It might have been avoided altogether had the alarm raised by Butt’s brother been passed on to MI5 instead of lost or ignored. The killer was already known to UK police while his accomplice Zaghba was flagged on an international terrorism database.

It was London Bridge again that provided the backdrop when Usman Khan, released from prison on licence after serving time for terrorist offences in 2018, exploited his attendance at a rehabilitation course in November 2019 to wreak havoc, stabbing five people, two fatally, before being shot dead by police on the bridge.

In January last year, Sudesh Amman (3rd story on link), who was actually – almost unbelievably – under surveillance by counter-terrorist police at the time, was gunned down as he went on a knife rampage in a south London street, having recently been released from prison following a conviction for terrorist offences.

This highlight-reel of horror with its grim cast of evil, dangerous men prepared to martyr themselves as long as they could take the lives of others with them shows just how twisted and corrupting the skewed ideology of radical Islamism can be. Most disturbing is the one thing they have in common: all those involved – with just one of the Borough Market killers the exception – were known to the police or security services.

But because of the intervals between the various attacks, the focus on the very personal and tragic stories of those killed and injured, and a tendency to move our gaze away from the culprits once they have been dispatched to the great beyond – either at the hands of the police or by their own suicide vests – or to a maximum security prison by the courts, we tend to forget about them.

So we never ask the big questions. How can this have happened again? Why were these foreign nationals and known terrorist sympathisers with serious criminal records allowed to roam the UK free? Why were warnings from those closest to the killers routinely ignored? And why does “known to the intelligence services” seem more like a humiliating excuse than a reassurance?

The tempting answer to all the above is that we have no idea of what we are dealing with. And while there are plenty of terrorism experts out there, psychologists with their ideas about what motivates a jihadist, lawyers on the lookout for human rights breaches and police trying to keep an eye on known suspects with their limited resources, the fact that two of these killers who both launched horrific attacks can team up in a maximum security nick, recruit a fellow traveller and attack a prison officer then something is very, very wrong.

Our justice system looks like a soft touch. Sure, Hashem Abedi is serving 55 years and Ahmed Hassan in for a 34-stretch, but as long as they can continue to cause injury and chaos even under the tightest prison regime the UK can offer, we can never be said to have beaten them, nor can their victims be satisfied that they have achieved true justice.

In the eyes of Islamist terrorist murderers everywhere, the British government and the judicial system look weak. And to those who have survived an attack or live in fear of another, there is absolutely no comfort in that.

Damian Wilson is a UK journalist, ex-Fleet Street editor, financial industry consultant and political communications special advisor in the UK and EU.

The problem has been the same for decades, British police, judicial systems, and social welfare systems are far more afraid of offending Pakistanis than anything else. They have sacrificed thousands of young, British girls on the altar of political correctness rather than arresting child rapists.

The situation is the same with terrorists. As Syrian psychologist, Dr. Wafa Sultan wrote: “I came to the absolute conviction that it is impossible…impossible…for any human being to read the biography of Mohammed and believe in it, and then emerge a psychologically and mentally healthy person.”

Muslim radicals must be segregated from British society as the odds of transforming one into a useful and productive British citizen are close to zero.

‘Battle of the jihadists’ as ISIS and HTS clash in Syria
Morning Star

THE two largest Islamist groups in northern Syria have been slugging it out in a “battle of the jihadists” for control over positions close to the border with Turkey.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters were reported to have stormed ISIS positions near the town of Salqib late on Tuesday, with at least three members of the latter killed.

The groups have been at loggerheads for years, although both have been assisted by Turkey, which has used them as part of its war against Kurds in northern Syria.

HTS, an offshoot from al-Qaida, has tried to move away from its roots and rebrand itself with the support of Ankara. The Islamist group has been charged with facilitating Turkish logistics and military operations in northern Syria.

According to a Chatham House analysis this relationship has been mutually beneficial: HTS needs political cover both regionally and internationally to protect it from being targeted as a terrorist group.

“Turkey needs ties to an armed group with military and organisational discipline that is able to control the territory and that is not subordinate to any foreign power,” the analysis says.

The fighting continues at present.
