Muslim man arrested for terrorism threats after Arena evacuation
The Arena was evacuated on Saturday evening, an individual arrested and the terrorist track is considered [RTS]
A man was arrested after the evacuation of the Arena concert hall on Saturday evening in Geneva, where the French rapper Lomepal was to perform, the Geneva public prosecutor said on Sunday. He had made terrorism threats online.
The 40-year-old individual had been reported by the French authorities. He is the author of a message on a social network that can be understood as "the threat of a terrorist act", said the spokesperson for the Geneva Public Prosecutor's Office Olivier Francey in a brief written communication. According to information from RTS, the man has links with jihadist networks.
This man must be heard on Sunday by the duty prosecutor. He is accused in the state of having uttered threats alarming the population, said Olivier Francey, adding that no other information will be given.
Lomepal concert canceled
Saturday evening, Lomepal had yet sold out, with nearly 8,500 people coming to attend his concert. But the successful rapper will never take the stage. After a first part without a hitch, the public awaits its star... but nothing. For more than an hour, no information. Then the announcement falls: "The concert is cancelled."
Spectators are asked to leave the room quietly. But according to several testimonies, the confusion then spreads to the Arena. Access to changing rooms is particularly difficult. People are rushing to collect their belongings. Finally, some take nearly 30 minutes to leave the room. Outside, they discover a large police force.
Sector cordoned off
Vans, fire trucks, demining brigade: the sector is cordoned off.
"We received information that a threat was targeting the concert. For precautionary reasons, it was decided to evacuate the premises and to carry out a search", had indicated in the night from Saturday to Sunday the spokesperson of the Geneva cantonal police Tiffany Cudré-Mauroux.
For Lomepal fans, more fear than harm. As a consolation, a concert was improvised on the return train.

The Saturday morning events that took place in Grigny could have gone wrong. Police, firefighters, Raid unit intervention…
At dawn, a large force was deployed at the building at 43 rue Bouteiller to subdue a man who had barricaded himself in his house after making death threats against neighbors….
Pforzheim, Germany: Man pushed under train ready to depart,
by Muslim Migrants
Because of a cigarette
By Kai Rebmann
reitshuster.de
It is a disturbing as well as remarkable report from the Federal Police Inspectorate in Karlsruhe. Disturbing not only because a man was pushed under a “waiting train” at the main station in Pforzheim, but above all because: the 49-year-old had apparently refused to give his two attackers a cigarette.
The press release is remarkable because the first few sentences read: “The injured party was approached by a 33-year-old Algerian and (he) demanded a cigarette. The suspect was accompanied by a 31-year-old man from Tunisia.”
So much plain language is anything but a matter of course for the police. Where else in comparable cases the talk is at most of "suspects with a southern appearance" or, in a completely misleading way, even of a "man from Nuremberg", here horse and rider are mentioned. But not by everyone. While the "Pforzheimer Zeitung" adopted the police report more or less unchanged, the BNN censored it as follows: "A 33-year-old and a 31-year-old man asked the 49-year-old for a cigarette." End of the announcement!
Still with the policy of protecting migrants who are charged with heinous crimes, at the expense of ordinary Germans.
Passers-by can probably prevent worse
According to the police, the two North Africans punched and pushed their victim. "In one of these impacts, the injured person fell between the platform and a waiting train," it said. However, the 49-year-old was able to "return" to the platform on his own, where he was "suddenly" attacked again by the two suspects.
The fact that the injured party, about whose nationality the police did not provide any information, did not end up back on the tracks or under the train is probably due not least to the courageous intervention of bystanders. The police write: "Bystanders tried to separate the opponents, but this was only possible after the arrival of federal police officers."
The Tunisian was apparently still able to flee at first, but was caught shortly thereafter by the state police and handed over to the federal police patrol responsible at the main station. According to the information, both the injured person and one of the two attackers had to be cared for by an emergency service.
The federal police filed a complaint against the two North Africans, among other things on suspicion of “dangerous bodily harm through life-threatening treatment”.
Why the nationality of suspects plays a role after all
For example, while the State Criminal Police Office in Berlin sends its officers to a language course and believes that "discrimination-sensitive communication" can solve the omnipresent problems in the capital (and not only there), their colleagues from the federal police seem to be a little closer to reality. There is a consensus that the nationality of suspects should only be mentioned if there is a direct connection to the alleged crime. But this is exactly the view that the Federal Police Inspectorate in Karlsruhe seems to have taken in the present attack on Pforzheim's main train station.
Why, of course, one can only speculate. But the assumption is that even the officers of the federal police can't remember that such acts in the "best Germany of all times" would have been the order of the day until a few years ago.
And the inhibition threshold of the "suspected perpetrators", as it should be called politically and legally correct, seems to be falling more and more. In the gold city, this time it was a cigarette that almost cost the life of a 49-year-old man.
I was a young boy when it became obvious to me that life in North Africa was very cheap. It seems obvious that migrants have brought this attitude to Europe. Ready to kill for a cigarette. Why are such morons invited into civil society? And then protected from themselves when they do insanely stupid and evil things?
