Lot’s selfish choice of the lush Jordan Valley would cost him everything he had but for two of his daughters, and they would end up living in a cave in the mountains. For many years he suffered terribly from the evil that dominated life in the valley cities of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim.
2 Pet 2:7,8 > 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds).
