Police in Paris have cleared out a temporary migrant camp set up in the middle of the French capital, clashing with pro-migrant protesters. The demonstrators say the migrants set up the camp to demand accommodation.

Rows of identical tents sprung up on the Place de la République in central Paris on Monday.

The camp was organized by Utopia56, a migrant advocacy group, who say that the 450 or so migrants in the encampment were left homeless when police cleared 2,000 migrants from a shanty town in the suburb of Saint-Denis last week (5th story on link).

Riot police soon arrived on the scene and started dismantling the pop-up camp.

The sweep didn’t go completely smoothly. Those who refused to leave were muscled out by the riot cops, while pro-migrant protesters who came between the police and the tents were met with batons and shields. Actu reported that some members of the Council of Paris were present, and tried to stop the clearout.

Utopia56 has demanded that the French government provide “1,000 immediate accommodation places” for homeless migrants, and called on the state to set up a “permanent reception system” to house more entering the country.

The total number of illegal migrants living in Paris is unknown. A migrant rights group last year estimated that 2,000 were sleeping on the streets of the French capital, while a 2018 government report claimed that between 150,000 and 400,000 were living either homeless or in accommodation in the suburban region of Seine-Saint-Denis alone.

Terrorism investigation opened into attack on 2 women in Swiss store,

suspect ‘shouted Allahu Akbar’ during stabbing

A stabbing attack which injured two women in a department store in the Swiss city of Lugano is being investigated as a suspected terrorist act. The female suspect, who allegedly called out ‘Allahu Akbar,’ has been arrested.

The attack occurred around 2pm local time, when a 28-year-old Swiss woman, who lives in the area, grabbed the first victim by the neck with her bare hands before turning on a second woman and slashing her with a knife, police said.

According to local reports, the attacker seized a bread knife from a store display as her weapon. She also reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar!” and screamed that she was from Islamic State, according to Swiss media. 

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday evening, police officials said these details had yet to be confirmed.

The suspect was apprehended by other people inside the store before being arrested.

Police said that one of the victims sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, while the second sustained minor injuries.

The office of the Swiss attorney general said it had opened an investigation into the incident as “a suspected terrorist-motivated attack.”

The attacker was known to the authorities, said the commander of the Ticino police, Matteo Cocchi, who took part in the press conference.

Head of the Federal Office of Swiss Police (Fedpol), Nicoletta della Valle, said “this attack doesn't surprise me,” as she referenced the recent terrorist acts in France, Vienna and the Swiss town of Morges (see story immediately below), although she clarified that it was “too early” to link the Lugano incident to the other incidents.

Murder suspect acted ‘out of vengeance against the Swiss state’

A man suspected of fatally stabbing a random man in western Switzerland on Saturday has confessed, saying that he acted in the name of jihadism, according to Swiss public radio, RTS. He had been released from prison in July, having been under surveillance for possible links to Islamist terrorism.

The 26-year-old Turkish-Swiss dual national had been known to the Federal Intelligence Service (FIS) since 2017 “for the consumption and dissemination of jihadist propaganda”.

In April 2019 he was arrested and held in pre-trial detention following an arson attack on a petrol station in Prilly, canton Vaud. In the course of that case cantonal investigators came across “indications of a possible jihadist background”, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) said in a statement on Wednesday.

In October 2019 the OAG extended the investigation to include offences under Article 2 of the Federal Act on the Proscription of Al-Qaeda, Islamic State and Associated Organisations: support for or participation in a criminal organisation and disseminating representations of violence.

The term of detention had been extended several times, initially at the request of the public prosecutor in canton Vaud and subsequently at the OAG’s request after it had taken control of the criminal proceedings.

In July 2020, at the request of the OAG, the compulsory measures court released the suspect from detention. This release was subject to various alternative measures outlined by the authorities involved, including a dusk-to-dawn curfew, requiring the suspect to report regularly to the authorities and banning him from carrying any weapons.

Before the incident on Saturday, the OAG had received no reports of any breaches of these measures, which would have justified placing the suspect back in detention.

Psychiatric help

However, RTS, citing sources close to the investigation, said the OAG had requested that the suspect be committed to a psychiatric institution, considering that his psychological health was deteriorating and that he was not very cooperative. But owing to a lack of space he was released.

This was denied on Wednesday evening by the Vaud Department of Security, which said “no Vaud authority had received a decision from the OAG ordering the psychiatric confinement of the accused after his release in July”.

The OAG told RTS that while it had not made any official request for confinement it had emailed the Vaud authorities on August 19, saying the decision to put the man up in a hotel was inadequate and that a place in a psychiatric institution needed to be found quickly. The Vaud authorities replied that there was nowhere immediately available, according to RTS.

The fact is, all radicalized Muslims need to be locked up in psychiatric hospitals. Radicalized Muslims should all be declared clinically insane and segregated from society.

Portuguese victim

At around 9pm on Saturday, the man attacked a 29-year-old Portuguese national in a kebab restaurant near Morges train station. The victim, who died at the scene, lived in the area and worked in a transport and removal company. He was with his girlfriend when the attacker came at them with a knife.

After a night on the run, the suspect was arrested the following day by cantonal police. According to RTS, he was found with the weapon and a copy of the Koran. He reportedly admitted that he had acted in the name of jihadism, “out of vengeance against the Swiss state” and to “avenge the Prophet”.

He attacked a man representing the Swiss population, according to RTS’s source. The OAG, contacted by Keystone-ATS, neither confirmed nor denied this information. However, it said a terrorist motive could not be excluded.

Intentional homicide and murder

The OAG said that, in view of the incident in Morges, it had extended the criminal proceedings that were opened in April 2019 to include intentional homicide and murder.

What? No terrorism? Seriously? He admitted it! How bizarre!

The OAG is now working with the cantonal authorities, fedpol und the FIS to clarify the circumstances.

In Morges, around 100 people paid homage to the victim on Monday evening at the scene of the murder.

At least 14 people have been killed and dozens more injured after twin blasts in the central Afghan province of Bamiyan on Tuesday afternoon, provincial officials said.

The explosives were hidden at the side of a road in a main bazaar in Bamiyan city and claimed the lives of 12 civilians and two traffic policemen, while wounding 45 other people, Reuters quoted Zabardast Safai, the police chief of the province, as saying. 

The people who sustained injuries in the attack were mostly in a nearby restaurant and shops at the time of the blasts, according to Safai.

A spokesperson at the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs, Tariq Arian, confirmed the bombing, saying that explosives had been detonated in front of the Insaf Market in the bazaar area in Bamiyan, “killing a traffic officer along with 13 civilians.”

Bamiyan police spokesperson, Mohammad Reza Yousufi, said the two explosions occurred less than a kilometer apart, adding that “there is a lot of damage.”

Afghan media cited sources saying that at least 17 people were killed and over 50 more were wounded in explosions close to a hotel in the center of Bamiyan province.

The city is visited by thousands of tourists every year, and the remote province – located in Afghanistan’s central mountains – had been considered one of the safest in the country.

The dominant local tribe, the Hazara Shia minority, opposed the Taliban, which is mostly made up of ethnic Pashtuns who reportedly massacred thousands of Hazara during their rule.

Bamiyan city is known for the large Buddha statues that were destroyed by the Taliban months before their fall.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid denied responsibility for the blasts on Tuesday, and condemned them on social media.

The attacks happened as world leaders began pledging billions of dollars in aid for Afghanistan at an international conference in Geneva. Peace talks between the government in Kabul and Taliban rebels, who have been waging an insurgency against the Western-backed administration, have stalled, and the militant group has not been invited to the Geneva conference.

The proliferation of far-right groups in Europe and North America have a lot to do with governments who are forcing their globalist policies on their people. Unable to get their attention peacefully, they seem to resort to ever-increasing violence. Although, mostly it is just talk, you wouldn't know by government and media reports.

Homes of 9 German police officers RAIDED over

More than 160 police officers in Germany have carried out searches at the homes of some of their colleagues after nine cops were accused of participating in right-wing and extremist WhatsApp groups.

Raids on several apartments belonging to police officers took place early on Tuesday morning in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in western Germany. 

The probes relate to new allegations against nine German police officers concerning their participation in extremist WhatsApp groups, in which officers reportedly shared right-wing and racist propaganda.

Some 17 electronic items were confiscated by police during the raids. Files, including videos, audio messages and photos, have been taken away for further investigation by the Duisburg public prosecutor's office.

According to German newspaper Bild, the suspects are aged between 29 and 69 and are said to be a group of police officers from Mulheim and Essen who bowled together.

Herbert Reul, interior minister for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said that the raids were "the result of the systematic evaluation of two cellphones" from earlier investigations. 

The allegations against the officers are the latest in a series of high-profile scandals to hit the German police.

In September, Germany suspended 30 police officers after officers were accused of exchanging Nazi propaganda in online chat groups. Investigators found related content in at least five private WhatsApp chat groups, some dating back to 2013.

One group chat from 2015 contained 126 indecent images, including photos of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, illustrations of a refugee in a gas chamber, and black people being shot.

Eleven of the 30 suspects who actively distributed material were facing criminal proceedings, Reul said.

Bangladeshi construction worker arrested for terrorism-related activities in Singapore

A 26-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker was picked up under the Internal Security Act earlier this month for his involvement in terrorism-related activities.

Ahmed Faysal was arrested on Nov 2, and preliminary investigations by the Internal Security Department found he had been radicalised and intended to carry out acts of armed violence in support of his religion, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said yesterday.

Faysal, who is Muslim, is from the eastern part of Bangladesh and obtained his secondary education in a village madrasah.

In February 2017, he left for Singapore and started work for a building products company. His radicalisation journey started in 2018 when he imbibed pro-Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) materials online, the ministry said.

Proficient in English and adept at using social media, he actively disseminated pro-ISIS propaganda, in a mix of English and Bengali, that featured the oppression of Muslims overseas and promoted armed violence.

He would translate some of the content he found online from English to Bengali, and repost it on his social media accounts - some of which he created under fictitious names to evade detection - to encourage other Bangladeshi Muslims to take up arms, MHA added.

He went a step further and bought foldable knives that he later confessed to the authorities he was planning to use for attacks against Hindu police officers back home.

MHA said investigations so far have not indicated that Faysal intended to carry out any acts of violence in Singapore.

But Home Affairs and Law Minister K. Shanmugam said yesterday: "If he finds that he can't go back to Bangladesh immediately, could he have decided one day to just attack people in Singapore?... These things have no boundaries."

Mr Shanmugam added that the Commercial Affairs Department is also investigating Faysal for possible terrorism financing offences. The MHA said Faysal is not linked to the string of attacks that happened in France last month.

But he was drawn to ISIS' goal of establishing an Islamic caliphate in Syria and wanted to travel there to fight alongside the group against the Syrian government. He believed he would be a martyr if he died while doing so, MHA added.

In the middle of last year, he shifted his allegiance to Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), another militant group fighting to establish an Islamic caliphate in Syria. MHA said: "He donated funds to a Syria-based organisation on the understanding that his donations would benefit the HTS' cause in Syria."

The ministry further said Faysal had expressed support for other terrorist groups, including the Al-Qaeda and Somalia-based Al-Shabaab. It noted that he believed Muslims have a duty to engage in armed jihad, to help fellow Muslims who are oppressed.

Apart from Syria, he was also willing to travel to Kashmir to fight against the perceived enemies of Islam, and prepared himself for battle by watching firearms-related videos online, the ministry added.

But he had a rather different public image. An MHA spokesman said Faysal lived in a dormitory and is not known to have interacted much with his dorm mates.

"Beyond his social media activities, there is no information that Faysal had tried to influence his colleagues, dormitory mates or anyone else in Singapore with his radical views," the spokesman said. "It appears that none of them were aware of Faysal's radicalisation."

Parole Board raises concerns about Toronto terrorism convict

The first person to be convicted of trying to leave Canada to join a terrorist group remains “too high a risk” a month before his scheduled release from prison, according to the Parole Board of Canada.

In a decision released Tuesday, the Parole Board said Mohamed Hassan Hersi’s behaviour had been mostly “terrible” since he was imprisoned in 2014 and imposed restrictions he must follow upon his release.

They include living at a halfway house, having no unsupervised access to the internet and undergoing treatment to deal with “ingrained extremist ideologies and violent behaviour.”

“Overall, the Board sees very little in your file that would suggest you are ready to return to the community as a law-abiding citizen,” according to the decision, obtained by Global News.

The case is the latest in which parole officials have imposed special conditions on terrorism offenders upon their release from prison due to concerns they could return to extremist violence.

A former security guard, Hersi, 34, was arrested in 2011 while trying to board a flight to Egypt at Toronto’s Pearson airport. The RCMP alleged he was on his way to Somalia to join the terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

The case marked the first time Canada had charged a suspect with attempting to participate in terrorist activity. He was also charged with counselling another person to participate in terrorist activity.

During his trial, police wiretap and other evidence suggested he aspired to a leadership position in Al-Shabaab and that he might return to Canada to “take care of” those who insulted the Muslim prophet.

He was convicted of two counts of terrorism in 2014 and sentenced to 10 years. In prison, he accumulated seven institutional charges. In 2017, he had to be subdued with pepper spray.

In anticipation of his Dec. 23 statutory release — when he will be freed after serving two-thirds of his sentence — the Parole Board reviewed his case, and its Nov. 19 report flagged a list of concerns.

Canadain justice is absurd. After 7 institutional charges, why does he deserve to get parole? The man is insane, like all radicalized Muslims and should never be allowed to walk free in society. If he couldn't keep the rules in prison, why do they think he will keep 'special conditions' imposed upon him. This is madness!

According to the report, Hersi said he did not subscribe to Al-Shabaab beliefs and had met regularly with imams, one of whom wrote that he had not heard him express any extremist views.

Hersi said he had been working with Project ReSet, a program for extremist offenders. He wanted to move in with his mother and hoped to return to school and volunteer at a Muslim community centre.

But the Parole Board said his family continued to profess his innocence and Hersi had not “addressed any of the dynamic risk factors which led to your plan to join a terrorist organization in the first place.”

“Although you have been working with an imam and with ReSet, it is our view that you continue to pose too high a risk for again becoming obsessed with Al-Shabaab or other jihadist organizations,” the report said.

“Noting that you were living in a stable home environment at the time of offending, and yet still became radicalized and obsessed with terrorism, the Board is not satisfied that enough has changed.”

Before extremists began leaving Canada to join ISIS, a handful left Toronto to join Al-Shabaab. Among them were two of Hersi’s friends, one of whom is now dead.

Former MSNBC producer Ariana Pekary has claimed that she was told by the bosses not to interview former Democratic presidential hopeful Andrew Yang and “several others” as the race for the nomination was heating up.

Pekary, who left the liberal cable news network in August, dropped the bombshell about her former employer’s alleged election bias in a series of tweets on Sunday, after Yang teased her appearance on his podcast.

“Actually, I just reviewed my journal. On 4/25/19, I was told that we were never to pursue Andrew for an interview on our show (along with several others),” Pekary tweeted, adding that the names of welcome and unwelcome guests were “dictated” from above without any explanation given.

The list of candidates was dictated, but the reasons for allowing them or not were not explained

The same day Pekary claimed she was given the message Joe Biden announced his run for presidency.

I'm sure that was just a coincidence! Pfft!

Pekary further explained that she couldn't speak for the whole network, saying that “the list was unique to The Last Word" (The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell show) and, presumably, did not come from MSNBC’s higher-ups.

Falling short of disclosing other names on the approved list of guests, Pekary said that she was “somewhat surprised” as to who had made it and who turned out to be personae non gratae.

“And looking back, I’m somewhat surprised by the list - who was in, who was out (“somewhat” but not entirely). Some “friends” of the show were out, others were in," she tweeted.

Pekary’s admission has sparked a guessing game as to who else might have been barred from appearing on the show, and whether the same rules applied to the network as a whole.

“Are you legally bound around this stuff, or can you post a bunch of screenshots for us?” one asked.

“Do you know if other shows on MSNBC had similar lists? Was it common to not invite presidential contenders on the network?” another tweeted. 

Yang, who now works for CNN as a political commentator, appeared to be taken aback by the revelation.

While the show or the network itself has yet to comment on Pekary’s claim, it’s not the first time the cable channel faces accusations of muting non-mainstream political voices.

Late newsman Ed Schultz, who worked for MSNBC before joining RT America, claimed in a 2018 interview that he was barred from covering Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid announcement five minutes before he was to come on air. Schultz said that he received a last-minute call from then-president of the network, Phil Griffin, who told him he was not “covering this.”

MSNBC’s sister channel, CNBC, raised eyebrows earlier this year after they replaced Yang’s face with that of a similarly-named businessman, and the face of another Democratic presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard with that of New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand during their segment on election fundraising. The channel eventually apologized for the mistake.

'Manipulative BULLS**T': Glenn Greenwald defends calling NBC a CIA mouthpiece, mocks accusation of 'endangering journalists'

Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald torched accusations that he endangered reporters by saying NBC News spouts CIA propaganda, saying he only spoke of a well-known fact, and the effort to shame him was "manipulative bulls**t."

"Profoundly sorry for endangering the lives of NBC executives and TV personalities by spilling the extremely well-kept secret of their close working relationship with the CIA," Greenwald tweeted sarcastically on Saturday. His message showed a picture of a headline about NBC's 2018 hiring of ex-CIA chief John Brennan as an NBC and MSNBC contributor.

Greenwald's retort came in reply to reporter Sulome Anderson, who accused him of endangering journalists who work in places where any CIA affiliation is "life-threatening." Greenwald earlier this week said NBC "has always existed to disseminate US government, CIA and corporate propaganda."

"This crosses a line," Anderson said. "Like some of his proteges, Glenn is endangering journalists working in perilous environments by telling his massive following that they are mouthpieces for US intelligence."

Greenwald said on Saturday that NBC has a "long-standing role" in spouting CIA propaganda, as evidenced by its hiring of Ken Dilanian, who was accused of sharing stories with the CIA press office prior to publication while working as a Los Angeles Times reporter. NBC also helped the CIA sell the Iraq War on its Meet the Press program, and sister network MSNBC was "ground zero for mindless CIA stenography of the most unhinged Russiagate conspiracy theories," he said.

"NBC has always existed to disseminate US government,

CIA and corporate propaganda."

"If you don't want to be known as a CIA outpost, then don't be one," Greenwald tweeted. He added that NBC hired "John Brennan, Ken Dilanian and every other operative puked up by the security state. People already know."

Anderson has written at least two opinion pieces on Lebanon for NBC in recent months. She has been critical of Hezbollah, designated a terrorist group by the US government, but also has interviewed some of its fighters.

Anderson, who said she is "morally opposed" to journalists working as intelligence agents, may have good reason for her sensitivity about alleged CIA ties. Her parents were both journalists who covered Lebanon's 15-year civil war, and she said her father was kidnapped by terrorists. "They tortured him again and again for years, calling him CIA," she said Saturday on Twitter. "'I am not a spy,' he would scream. 'I am a reporter.' It never stopped them."

It would appear that Hezbollah has known of the connection for a very long time. Are you accusing Greenwald of telling them something they didn't know?

Anderson acknowledged journalists being used as intelligence-agency assets, but said such cases are rare. "Time and again, American hostages – journalists and otherwise – have been falsely called spies, tortured and killed," she said. "I have been in many situations where I've had to convince the very dangerous men I am with that I am not a spy. My saving grace has always been that I am not."

Greenwald came to international fame by breaking the Edward Snowden NSA whistleblower story in 2013. He later co-founded the Intercept but quit the outlet last month after saying editors there suppressed his coverage of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“Rotterdam teacher in hiding after online threats in dispute over ‘blasphemous’ cartoon,”

ANP Police in Rotterdam are investigating online threats made against a teacher who had hung a cartoon commenting on the attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in January 2015 on his classroom notice board.

According to the NRC, the drawing had hung on a classroom notice board for some five years but it was not until the school – which has Catholic roots – held a memorial for murdered French teacher Samuel Paty, that it became a contentious issue.

Sources at the Emmauscollege told the paper that the situation in the school had soured after some teachers started discussions about the cartoon of Mohammed which had led a radical Muslim to murder Paty last month.

Then, the paper said, a group of girls demanded the teacher remove the picture from the notice board because, they said, it was blasphemy.

Despite the teacher’s explanation – that the cartoon was not of Mohammed but of a terrorist – the dispute continued on social media.

Police told the NRC that direct threats were made against the teacher, and that they were taking them very seriously….

The NRC says that more teachers at the school, which focuses on pre-college and pre-university streams, no longer feel safe and, according to its sources, the teacher in question has gone into hiding.

MPs and ministers on Thursday were united in their outrage, with education minister Arie Slob saying it is ‘completely unacceptable’ that teachers are put under pressure because they teach about the value of freedom of speech. The intimidation of teachers will not be tolerated in any way whatsover, Slob said. ‘We will take tough action against it.’

Meanwhile, over 100,000 people have signed a petition set up by imam Ismail Abou Soumayyah, which calls for insulting Mohammed to be made a criminal offence.

FBI releases 2015 attack plan of radicalized California university student who stabbed 4 on campus

MERCED, Calif. – A troubled California university freshman who burst into a classroom in 2015, stabbing four people before police shot him dead, planned to praise Allah while slitting the throats of classmates and use a gun taken from an ambushed officer to kill more, according to records released by the FBI.

Authorities determined that Faisal Mohammad, an 18-year-old freshman at the University of California, Merced had no connections to organized hate or terror groups and no past behavior to suggest violence.

Still, records released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to the Daily Beast publication include a chilling, handwritten 31-step plan for the Nov. 4 attack with names of people to target.

The plan included putting on a balaclava at 7:45 a.m. and saying “in the name of Allah” before stepping into his classroom and ordering students to use zip-ties he provided to bind their hands.

Mohammad also planned to make a fake 911 distress call to report a suicidal guy and wait for police outside the classroom before ambushing from behind “and slit calmly yet forcefully one of the officers with guns.”

He planned to take a gun from an officer and kill classmates before making another fake distress call to 911 to report the shootings. Step 26 was to read the Quran until he heard sirens, and then “take calm shot after shot” with the gun as authorities arrive….

…investigators said the perpetrators were influenced by the Islamic State group, but not directly connected to it. Families said they had no clue of their relatives’ radicalization.

That's even more frightening than if they were aware of his radicalization. He was radicalized and no-one noticed! How can that be if the whole family wasn't radicalized?

Earlier this year, on 16th March 2020, BACA reported on the dithering police that failed to take action after a 17-year-old Christian teenager who is both deaf and mute, was kidnapped from her home, then forcibly married to a Muslim neighbour under a sham Islamic marriage.

Police at Sanda Police Station, Lahore failed to take action despite registering a First Information Report (FIR) 405/2020 on 17th March, in which they listed the crime of kidnap of a minor – though at the time no suspects were identified.

Several attempts to garner a police response by Komal’s parents failed to start any investigation. In fact, it was only two months later on 17th March 2020, when a local MP Tariq Gill got involved that police initiated a trace on the last call received from Komal by mother Rubina (45 yrs), just before Komal went missing.

During the investigation two suspects were identified Ali Mubashir and Mohammed Azeem who had had been before the home of Komal at around the time she went missing. Local police called Mr Azeem’s telephone number and got through and he agreed to meet for questioning, but then absconded and become non-traceable for the duration of the two months with Mr Mubashir.

Then on Good Friday (10th April) a call was received by the mother of Komal, Rubina (44 yrs) who heard strange mutterings on the phone that sounded like her daughter.  She reported this to the police who began a trace on the number.

Two weeks later the trace identified a man named Kashif Ghulam Rasool, who was also a local neighbour and a search began for the fugitive.  Unfortunately his phone was now switched off and he had also been found to have absconded.

On 12th of May 2020, Rubina Patras filed a subsequent bian (statement) and nominated 5 persons involved in the abduction of her daughter Komal. The subsequent bian stated that on 16th March 2020, close relatives of Rubina Patras, Mubarik Masih and Saleem Masih witnessed a distressed Komal sobbing in a van along with five unknown men.

Through discussions with local neighbours it soon became very clear who the five men were because they had all disappeared from the community at the same time that Komal disappeared.  So Rubina was able to inform local police of community suspicions that Muhammed Azeem, Mubashir Ali and Ali Abbas were involved in the kidnapping.  One man was still unidentified.

On identification of the culprits, police raided the home of Muhammad Azeem on 24th May and through interrogation they were also able to arrest Mubashar Ali and Ali Abbas, who were in the same house located in Deepalpur, District Okara.  The men denied any knowledge of Komal’s whereabouts but police kept them in their custody.

Following further searches for Kashif at his home, the paternal uncle of Kashif turned up at Sandha Police Station on 5th June. and brought Komal before the police.  He informed police that the teenager was legally married and produced a sham Islamic marriage certificate, a forged birth certificate that stated Komal was 18 years of age (the legal age of consensual marriage).  The uncle also brought a certificate of conversion to Islam.   He told the officers that Komal would be allowed to speak to her parents, but under no circumstance should she be returned to the family.  She was the property of Kashif who was her legal husband and after the meeting Komal should be returned to him.

Following the orders of Kashif’s uncle the police invited the parents of Komal,  Patras Masih (55 yrs) and Rubina to meet with their daughter.  The parents said that Komal was in an obvious distressed state and wept while she communicated in sign language with them.  She informed the parents she loved them, that she wanted to return to them and longed for their protection and that she had been regularly raped by a gang of 5 Muslim men.  When the parents demanded for their daughter to be returned to them, police denied them permission to take her with them.  Member of Provincial Assembly, Tariq Gill who had visited the police with the family demanded for her release and a further police investigation.

On 6th June 2020, Komal was required to attend the Health Department of the Government of the Punjab and underwent a medical examination by Dr. Tauqir Asifa.  In her medical report she confirmed  the physical and sexual abuse of Komal and identified significant wounding on her right forearm and multiple scars were found on the left foot.

Later the same day, Komal went to the District Education Officer (Special Education) Lahore, to meet with a government officer who understood sign language a statement was thus derived at via Tahir Hussain Gazzi.  It is listed that Komal said:

“I was cleaning the floor of my house at around 1:30 pm.

“Suddenly Kashif Ghulam Rasool and her mother Raqiya came and dragged me out of my house by my arm. I’m deaf-mute so I could not make any noise to catch attention of family members.

“They took me into a car and drove me to the other side of the River Ravi.

“On 19th March they took me to Jamia Nameea Lahore and was converted to Islam, Kashif made me do it. Kashif Ghulam Rasool forced me to marry him.

“After that my husband took me to different places to avoid arrest by the police and he often beat me.”

On the same day, Kashif his mother Raqiya applied for pre-arrest bail in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Lahore, Ch. Zulfiqar Ali.  Without any hesitation the Muslim judge granted bail to both of them against the surety bonds of 30,000 PKR each. Raqiya had been very friendly to the family of Komal and had been helping in the investigation, much the same as the caretaker involved in the Soham Murders in the UK. During police investigation she flatly denied being involved in the kidnap, despite being recognized by Komal and her phone number being called during the kidnap of Komal. Oddly she even the parents of Komal when they visited her house on discovering her number was listed in Kashif’s mobile. She later that evening beat Komal too because she had made calls that would later lead to her arrest.

Some time later, Qari Muhammad Saeed of Dar-Ul-Aloom Jamia Naeemia, Lahore, gave a statement to the police that on the 19th of March Komal was converted to Islam and legally married. In a statement to  Investigation Officer (IO) Ibrar Hussain, he said:

“This conversion took place by writing Qalma Tayba on a paper.

“Komal was brought to me for conversion. Komal told me through signs that she can read and write and so I wrote Qalma Tayba on a piece of paper for her.

“Komal followed me in writing Qalma Tayba on another piece of  paper and in this way Komal entered into Islam.”

Patras Masih has spoken with BACA about the poor policing they suffered, he said:

“The Investigation report presented by IO Ibrar Hussain clearly favored the culprits. In his report he took statements from Muslims in the house that my daughter was repeatedly raped.

“They stated that Komal seemed very happy and content in her marriage and denied other men entered the house. 

“Instead of doing a fair investigation and recording the facts he recorded these false statements as true. This delayed the return of my daughter and led to more beatings and rapes and has slowed down the process of justice.”

In the office of Deputy Inspector General of Police Lahore, an application was filed to reinvestigate the matter by MPA Tariq Gill. The application was denied by the office however, BACA’s solicitor Sumaira Hussain who is leading this case will be seeking an investigation into police conduct through the courts.

A protest was held in front of Lahore Press Club when the biased and despicable police negligence that led to an extension of the torturous treatment towards Komal. To reduce community anxiety and to bring an end to the protest DSP Javed Sadiq of Central Investigation Agency confirmed to the parents of Komal that from now on a fair investigation will ensue, after calling them to his office on 4th November 2020.

Komal is with her family in a secret place while she is recovering from a very brutal and violent attack.

Sweden: Islamic dress code protected under law / Muslim veil ban illegal

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Skurup municipality, whose clothing policy specifically prohibits Islamic headwear at preschools and primary schools, has found itself on a collision course with the Discrimination Ombudsman.

The Swedish Discrimination Ombudsman (DO) has weighed in on the debate involving the acceptance of religious headdresses in public places.

In ruling that the Skurup municipality’s ban on “the headscarf, burqa, niqab, and other clothing intended to hide students and staff” is incompatible with the Discrimination act, the ombudsman confirmed that the Islamic dress code is thus protected under the law.

“When the inspection is now completed, the DO makes the assessment that even though the policy, according to its wording, affects all clothing that hides students and staff in the municipality’s preschools and primary schools, the purpose is precisely to ban religious clothing. This means that the application of the policy in relation to people bearing such garments will be related to their religion or beliefs”, the ombudsman’s office said in a press release.

Deputy discrimination ombudsman Martin Mörk emphasised that “with the exception of situations where such clothing affects a student’s or employee’s objective conditions to carry out an educational element or a task the ban constitutes direct discrimination related to religion and other beliefs”.

“If you accept that women have to cover their faces, what are you going to accept tomorrow? Do you also intend to accept polygamy, child marriage et cetera?”, Sweden Democrat Lars Nyström wondered during the debate.

This is probably the right call by the ombudsman, however, it's another boost for far-right terrorists who think the government has thrown Sweden to the dogs.

Le Bouscat: new death threats inscribed on the facades of two schools

Concern is growing in two schools in the town of Bouscat, near Bordeaux. The Sainte-Anne school was again the target of death threats. The same inscription discovered last week reappeared this Sunday on its facade: “You are all dead”.

Less than 500 meters from this establishment, another school, the Jean Moulin school, was also targeted by threats on Monday, according to prosecutors. Inscriptions referred to the assassination of Samuel Paty: “You are all dead, you are all dead. Samuel Paty. Allah Akbar”.

Prosecutors indicate that a new investigation has been opened for the tags concerning the Jean Moulin school. An investigation for “support for terrorism” and “death threats” is entrusted to the departmental security.

Investigations are also continuing after the new threats in Sainte-Anne. So far, no one has been arrested.

ISIS claims responsibility for Kabul attack after over 20 rockets hit Afghan capital, killing 8

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for an attack on Afghanistan’s capital that left eight dead and several dozen injured, nearly three weeks after it carried out a rampage at Kabul University.

Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry said that a total of 23 rockets hit targets across Kabul.

At least one rocket landed in an office inside the capital’s diplomatic quarter, but it did not explode, according to reports. 

In total, eight people were killed and 31 others were injured. 

The Taliban denied any links to the attack. Hours later, Islamic State issued a statement taking responsibility for the barrage.

The attack came just hours before US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was set to meet with Afghan and Taliban negotiators in Qatar, in the hopes of restarting stalled peace talks. 

The rocket barrage is just the latest in a series of deadly strikes carried out by Islamic State in the country. At the start of November, IS killed 22 people after gunmen stormed Kabul University.

Arabs warn Biden: Do not return to Obama era of embracing Islamists

The message they are sending to Biden and the Democrats: We do not want to go back to the bad old days when the U.S. administration aligned itself with Islamist terrorist groups.

In a clear message directed to a possible US administration under Joe Biden, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have warned against supporting the Muslim Brotherhood organization. They state that it gives birth “to extremist terrorist groups who wreak havoc on the country and the people.”

On November 10, Saudi Arabia’s Council of Senior Scholars, the kingdom’s highest Islamic religious body, issued a warning amid growing fear in some Arab countries that a Biden administration may return to former President Barack Obama’s policy of empowering and appeasing the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Saudi warning was immediately endorsed by Egypt’s senior Islamic religious institute, Dar al-Ifta, and prominent Egyptian writers and political analysts.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which has congratulated Biden on his disputed victory in the U.S. presidential election, is hoping that if and when he becomes president, he will not classify the organization as a terrorist group.

The Council of Senior Scholars, in a strongly worded statement, said that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group and “does not represent the true values of Islam.”

The Council described the Brotherhood as a “deviant group that undermines coexistence within nations, stirs up sedition, violence and terrorism and pursues its partisan goals in an attempt to seize more power for itself under the cover of religion. The history of the organization of one of evil, strife, extremism and terrorism.”

The Council said that the history of the Muslim Brotherhood reveals the full scale of the evil for which it is responsible and that it has inspired the formation of many extremist and terrorist groups that are responsible for atrocities all around the world.

The Council called on the public to be wary of the Muslim Brotherhood and its activities, and urged them not to join it, support it or become involved with its activities.

In 2014, Saudi Arabia blacklisted the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. Three years later, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt issued a joint statement in which they listed as terrorists 59 individuals, including prominent Muslim Brotherhood figures, and 12 charities of various nationalities.

The London-based Arab Weekly newspaper noted this month:

“Followers of Saudi affairs did not rule out that the statement of the Council of Senior Scholars was a response to the Muslim Brotherhood’s exaggerated enthusiasm over Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential elections and its probable negative impact on Saudi-American relations.

“These observers pointed out that, behind the Council’s statement, there is a Saudi message saying that the Brotherhood’s rush to welcome and embrace Biden and its attempts to win his sympathy while inciting against important countries in the region will not change Saudi Arabia’s steadfast position of considering the group a terrorist organisation and a real incubator for all militant groups.”

Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, responding to the Council’s statement, said that he has “warned against the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization for more than 20 years.” He said that his warning came out of concern for “our religion, our country, our citizens, and all Muslims.”

Al-Sheikh’s statement is also seen by Arabs as a warning to Biden after the Muslim Brotherhood congratulated him on his “victory.”

Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, an Islamic advisory, judicial and governmental body that offers Muslims religious guidance and advice through the issuing of fatwas (Islamic rulings) on various issues, expressed full support for the Saudi Council of Senior Scholar’s statement against the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Egyptian group, also in a message seemingly directed to Biden, pointed out that the Muslim Brotherhood “always seeks to divide societies and spread chaos and incite citizens to riot and engage in violence.”

“The statement of the [Saudi] Council of Senior Scholars came after a long and careful study of the methodology and thinking of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood organization, which views non-Muslims as infidels… We call on various religious bodies, institutions and councils in the countries of the Islamic world to criminalize and prohibit the terrorist Brotherhood and to disavow it. The group’s extremism and violence are an inherent feature of its ideology, and there is no point in reforming or changing it.”

Arab political analysts and experts in Islamic fundamentalist movements said they considered the statement of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia as “a new blow to the terrorist group” and that it exposes the group’s “tricks to attract young people to its deviant discourse.”

The analysts and experts added that the world has realized that the existence of this terrorist organization represents a real threat to the identity and stability of states, stressing that the Muslim Brotherhood group does not represent the approach of Islam.

Saudi political analyst Dr. Ahmed al-Rukban said that the Council of Senior Scholars is the legislative body in the Kingdom and is considered reliable on the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation with regard to domestic and foreign policy.

Al-Rukban warned that the Muslim Brotherhood and its followers have always used Islam “to penetrate many sectors and agencies in Saudi Arabia and other countries.” The Muslim Brotherhood, he added, is financially supported by Turkey.

Mounir Adeeb, a researcher on Islamic extremist movements and international terrorism, said that the statement of the Council of Senior Scholars reveals the truth of the Muslim Brotherhood. He praised the Council for its “bold, brave and clear” description of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

Saudi writer Mohammed Al-Saaed revealed that after the Muslim Brotherhood was outlawed in Saudi Arabia in 2014, “the terrorist group secretly tried to sneak back through the window.”

The Brotherhood activists sought to “jump on the technocratic jobs that began to spread in the wake of the great development in the kingdom and to infiltrate and attack society whenever the opportunity arises,” he commented.

Noting that the Muslim Brotherhood carried out several terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia between 2003 and 2006, Al-Saaed wrote: “The terrorist organization has become a despicable and treacherous organization.”

Will Biden continue in Obama’s footsteps?

Egyptian Islamic scholar Saad Eddin Al-Hilali expressed concern that Biden, if elected, will continue in the footsteps of Obama and endorse the Islamists. Al-Hilali called on Egyptians to be wary of the Islamists, “who were previously supported by Obama and will now be supported by Biden.”

Biden, he said, “will complete Obama’s march, but I want to remind the Egyptians that Egypt rejected political Islam [by removing Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood member, from power]. Now, Egypt stands firmly on its feet and is saying no to trafficking in religion.”

Egyptian media personality Mustafa Al-Faqi also expressed concern over the possibility that a Biden administration would embrace the Muslim Brotherhood. “Biden endorsed the approach of Obama, who wanted to spread Islamism in the region,” Al-Faqi said. “Obama saw the Muslim Brotherhood as part of the national opposition. This is nonsense.”

The Saudis and Egyptians are hardly the only Arabs who are worried about a renewed alliance between a Democrat-led administration and the Islamists.

Several Arab political analysts and columnists, particularly in the Gulf, have voiced similar sentiments. The message they are sending to Biden and the Democrats is: We do not want to go back to the bad old days when the U.S. administration aligned itself with Islamist terrorist groups.

These Arabs are determined to prevent the Islamists from returning to power in Egypt or raising their heads in other Arab countries. It remains to be seen if the future U.S. administration will cooperate in this effort.

Aussie man who hatched ‘amateurish’ plan to exterminate ‘lefties’ & Muslims given 12-year jail term

An Australian court has sentenced a far-right man, who hatched “rather amateurish” plans to attack Melbourne anarchists and Muslims, to a lengthy jail term. The judge said he was being punished for contemplating violence.

Phillip Galea, 36, is to spend almost five more years in solitary confinement before he can petition for parole. Last year a jury found him guilty of plotting terrorist attacks and inciting others to commit violent acts by writing a manual he called the ‘Patriot’s Cookbook’.

Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth on Friday acknowledged that Galea’s plot was “rather amateurish” and highly unlikely to succeed. But she said it was “illogical and implausible” that he was preparing “fake” attacks to expose a police informant inside right-wing groups to which he belonged, which was his line of defense during the trial. She said he didn’t show any remorse and continued advocating violence while in custody.

“Although you regard yourself as a patriot who holds mainstream views, it's clear the jury found otherwise,” the judge said.

You're not being punished for holding radical right-wing views… you're being punished for the violent means you contemplated.

Hollingworth also noted that it was “somewhat ironic” that Galea’s work heavily plagiarized ‘The Anarchist’s Cookbook’, a notorious 1971 revolutionary manual, considering who he was targeting with his plot. Galea wanted to attack the Melbourne Anarchist Club as well as the Victorian Trades Hall to “eliminate leaders of the left.” He continued working on the document while awaiting trial in jail, but during the proceedings he claimed that it was meant to be a Monty Python-esque satire.

Galea is a forklift operator by trade and was a member of right-wing groups Reclaim Australia and the True Blue Crew. He was reported by his own mates in August 2016. During the trial witnesses said he talked about “mass extermination of the left,” whom he accused of promoting “Islamization of Australia,” and expressed a desire to “create a Muslim-free country.”

Investigators discovered that he had researched bomb-making, firearms and ballistic armor and had 362.1 grams of mercury in his possession – presumably to be used for poisoning his targets. Galea claimed he procured the toxic metal for a science project.

The man himself believes he was a victim of a far-reaching conspiracy involving his own lawyers. After he was sentenced he held up a sign which read: “I did not receive a fair trial.”

When he was free, the terrorism-plotter didn’t appear to have any close relationships, had issues with alcohol abuse as well as multiple drug-induced psychotic episodes, the court was told. After his arrest he remained in “effective” solitary confinement, which will be added to his years served.

The article doesn't explain why he was in solitary confinement, but perhaps authorities were concerned that he would attempt to convert fellow prisoners to his point of view.

CHRISTCHURCH: New Zealanders are hoping that the life sentence given to Brenton Tarrant — the mass killer who murdered 51 people during an anti-Muslim shooting spree last year — will bring an end to one of the darkest periods in the country’s recent history.

Tarrant, 29, was sentenced on Thursday to life imprisonment without parole.

The judge, Justice Cameron Mander, told the gunman he had been motivated by a “base hatred of people perceived to be different from yourself.”

He called Tarrant’s actions “inhuman,” saying the killer “showed no mercy.”

The whole-of-life sanction, for killings that took place during Friday prayers last March at a mosque and nearby religious center, was a first for the South Pacific nation, which carried out its last execution in 1961 before abolishing the death penalty in the late 1980s.

Christchurch is an unlikely setting for a hate crime of such scale. In December 1850, four ships carrying British laborers and farmers “of reputable morals” arrived at New Zealand’s second-largest city, to establish what they cheerfully supposed to be a “better” class of Anglican-style life — decorous, devout and, as an old cliche used to have it, more English than England.

But there were always others in the cultural mix, too, not least the indigenous Maori tribesmen who staked out a claim to the land centuries earlier. More recently, and from the early 2000s in particular, Christchurch has been a destination of choice for eligible refugees, including many from the Middle East.

However, the Garden City also played host to Tarrant, a diminutive white supremacist who journeyed more than 2,000 miles from his native Australia to violently purge New Zealand of what he deemed to be “outsiders” — Muslim migrants, specifically.

Tarrant pleaded guilty to 51 counts of murder, 40 of attempted murder and one of engaging in an act of terrorism that he livestreamed on Facebook. These terrorist acts, unprecedented in the country’s criminal history, were carried out against Friday worshippers over a period of around 40 minutes at Christchurch’s Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Center.
