The Media is the Message > USAID funded media in Ukraine hide the truth; BBC's Racist Pro-Hamas documentary

Deep State's Control of the Media - Ukraine

This is The Front Page, your daily window into the world of The Free Press

USAID funded the vast majority of “independent” media in Ukraine—and spent our tax dollars to suppress the truth.

For the past few weeks the Trump administration, led by Elon Musk’s DOGE boys, has been hard at work dismantling the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The process has been chaotic, to say the least. One notable rumor, promoted earlier this month by both President Trump and Elon Musk, claimed that USAID had spent $50 million on condoms for Gaza. That was proven untrue: No money had been spent on condoms anywhere in the Middle East, and Elon later admitted he’d made a mistake. Around the same time, online sleuths accused Politico, the D.C. news site, of being secretly bankrolled by USAID. But that wasn’t true either. In reality, a few hundred government employees had simply bought a niche service called Politico Pro and invoiced the purchase to their respective agencies, as Isaac Saul pointed out last week in The Free Press.

The chaos has made it very difficult to know what USAID was and wasn’t actually funding. Any juicy stories about the agency’s spending habits you see on social media should be taken with a grain of salt.

But today in The Free PressTanya Lukyanova has a doozy. And every bit of it is true.

Tanya explains how numerous USAID-funded media outlets in Ukraine refused to cover the growing scandal of forced conscriptions in the country, which has included kidnapping men from the street and, in some documented cases, torturing or killing them. These same media outlets—which again, are largely funded by the American taxpayer—then launched a coordinated smear campaign against several independent journalists who dared to expose the story, tarring them as traitors.

Do American taxpayers realize that their money went to squelching freedom of the press—and suppressing the truth?

In its pro-Hamas documentary, BBC removed references Muslims made to fighting ‘Jews’ and waging ‘jihad’

It’s not just the BBC. The entire establishment media has made it a priority to downplay, deny, or obscure any news that might make people think ill of Islam. And so the BBC removed references to “Jews” and “jihad” to avoid giving viewers in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain the idea that “Palestinian” jihadis were antisemitic or engaged in a religious war that could not be ended by Israeli concessions.

The BBC should be defunded and shut down. But of course, it will not be.

BBC removed references to ‘Jews’ and ‘jihad’ in Gaza documentary

by Neil Johnston and Akhtar Makoii, Telegraph, February 25, 2025:

The BBC has been accused of “whitewashing” the views of participants in its controversial Gaza documentary after repeatedly mistranslating references to “the Jews” and omitting praise of “jihad”.

The Telegraph can reveal that on at least five occasions the words Yahud or Yahudy – Arabic for “Jew” or “Jews” – were changed to “Israel” or “Israeli forces”, or were removed from the subtitles altogether.

An interviewee praising Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader, for “jihad against the Jews” was also mistranslated as saying he was fighting “Israeli forces”.

The BBC is under pressure to reveal whether taxpayers’ money was given to Hamas during the making of Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone.

Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, said that if the BBC finds evidence money was given to Hamas, then counter terror police should investigate….

Around four minutes in, a Gazan woman among a convoy fleeing from part of the besieged strip is asked by the cameraman: “What’s going on?” She replies: “The Jews invaded our [area].” However, the BBC subtitles quote her as saying: “The Israeli army invaded our area.”

In another clip, around half an hour in, a boy says that he had left home because of bombings and that “the Jews came, they destroyed us, Hamas and the Jews”. This was translated in subtitles as “the Israelis destroyed everything, and so did Hamas”….

Towards the end of the documentary, a Palestinian woman holds her phone as she shows the camera crew footage of Sinwar being killed. In the subtitles, she is quoted as saying that “his face was covered and his weapon was ready, prepared for battle”, but a translation reveals she says that he was “ready for jihad”.

Later, the participant is quoted as saying: “The video shows that he was fighting and resisting Israeli forces. He wasn’t hiding.” But according to Camera, the woman says: “He was engaging in resistance and jihad against the Jews. Not underground.”…

How dreadful that BBC has decided that lies are required to protect Muslims from the truth of their hatred for Jews. How does BBC justify hiding Islam's murderous racism?
