French prosecutors drop 'terror conspiracy'

charge in beheaded teacher trial

France

French prosecutors dropped terror conspiracy charges on Monday against two men on trial for their role in the beheading of school teacher Samuel Paty in a Paris suburb in October 2020. Prosecutors told the court that the two men should still be found guilty of belonging to a terrorist organisation, for which they face up to 30 years in prison.

French prosecutors on Monday dropped charges of “complicity in terrorist murder” against two men charged with aiding an Islamist radical’s beheading of a school teacher that shocked France.

Prosecutors told the court that Naim Boudaoud, 22, and Azim Epsirkhanov, 23, a Russian of Chechen origin, should still be found guilty of “membership in a terrorist organization” for which they face up to 30 years in prison.

Teacher Samuel Paty was killed in October 2020 by 18-year-old Abdoullakh Anzorov, who beheaded Paty after the teacher showed cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in class.

Boudaoud and Epsirkhanov were both friends with Anzorov, who died in a shootout with police after the beheading which made Paty a free speech hero to the French authorities.

Prosecutor Marine Valentin said in her closing statement that the accused had been “fully aware” of Anzorov’s “jihadist convictions” when they gave logistical support, including to buy weapons.

Boudaoud is accused of accompanying Anzorov to buy two replica guns and steel pellets on the day of the attack.

Epsirkhanov admitted he had received 800 euros ($840) from Anzorov to find him a real gun but had not succeeded.

But prosecutor Valentin said that there was no absolute certainty that they had meant to participate in the preparation of terrorist murder.

‘Not completely meet expectations’

Earlier another prosecutor, Nicolas Braconnay, had already cautioned that the prosecutors’ stance may “not completely meet the expectations” of Paty’s family.

A total of eight people have been on trial since last month charged with contributing to the climate of hatred that led to the gruesome killing of the 47-year-old history and geography teacher.

The defendants include Brahim Chnina, a 52-year-old Moroccan and the father of a schoolgirl, then aged 13. She falsely claimed that Paty had asked Muslim students to leave his classroom before showing the caricatures. She was not actually in the classroom at the time.

Also on trial is Abdelhakim Sefrioui, a 65-year-old Franco-Moroccan Islamist activist.

He and Chnina spread the teenager’s lies on social networks with the aim, according to the prosecution, of “designating a target”, “provoking a feeling of hatred” and “thus preparing several crimes”.

Both men have been in pre-trial detention for the past four years.

Between October 9 and 13, Chnina spoke to Anzorov nine times by telephone after he published videos criticising Paty, the investigation showed.

Sefrioui posted a video criticising what he considered to be Islamophobia in France and describing Paty as a “teaching thug”, but told investigators he was only seeking “administrative sanctions”.

Paty had used the cartoons, first published in Charlie Hebdo magazine, as part of an ethics class to discuss free speech laws in France, where blasphemy is legal and cartoons mocking religious figures have a long history.

His killing took place just weeks after Charlie Hebdo republished the Prophet Mohammed cartoons.

After the magazine used the images in 2015, Islamist gunmen stormed the magazine’s offices, killing 12 people.

Four other defendants interacted with Anzorov online.

Salvini's sentencing is tomorrow just before the darkest day of the year.

UPDATE from EVA:  Salvini acquitted

Tomorrow is a crucial day for the future of Europe. Matteo Salvini, who’s facing up to 6 years in jail for defending Italy’s borders and putting a stop to mass migration, will finally hear his sentencing. The only fair verdict is acquittal but with our judiciary systems infiltrated and corrupted by left wing activists we can’t be sure. In any care, Salvini proved he’s a man of actions and not just words – he should be reinstated as minister of Interior.

UK: Muslim who stamped on man’s head during riots sentenced to 34 months of prison dawah

He’ll be out long before his sentence is up, of course, and his sentiments will likely have been reinforced in prison, as any attempt to disabuse him of them would be “Islamophobic.”

Nevertheless, we can be grateful for small favors. It wouldn’t have been surprising, in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain today, if Ameer Khalile had been made prime minister.

Chanting thug stamped on man’s head during Middlesbrough riots

leaving him face down in ditch

by Georgia Banks, Teesside Live, December 10, 2024:

A violent thug stamped on a man’s head during the Middlesbrough riots.

Ameer Khalile
was captured on CCTV footage attacking the man during the violence in the town on Sunday, August 4. The 25-year-old was part of a group of men that were making chants as they ran down the street and targeted the victim.

Footage of Khalile was played to the court, saw him stamping on the man’s head. The victim can then be seen falling face down into a ditch. After running away, the Stockton man was then seen to punch a man and kick at the door of a pub….

He pleaded guilty to violent disorder and attempted GBH with intent at an earlier hearing. Khalile was sentenced to two years and 10 months behind bars at Teesside Crown Court on Monday, December 9 for the “vicious” attack.

Stomping on a person's head should always be prosecuted as attempted murder, never anything less.

In the category of stupid beyond belief...

Prosecutor: Amsterdam pogrom wasn’t

antisemitic or terror

Gaza-born defendant charged with attempted manslaughter is “mentally ill,” claims attorney.

Of course, he is mentally ill. All radicalized Muslims are mentally ill.

By World Israel News Staff

The lead prosecutor in a criminal case against a perpetrator in the Amsterdam soccer pogrom denied in court that antisemitism was a motivation for the attacks.

You are sure he was the prosecutor, not the attorney for the defence?

The prosecution is seeking two years in prison for a defendant, identified as Sefa O., who played a “leading role” in the widespread violence against Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

The attack in early November saw mobs of Muslim residents of Amsterdam – primarily of Arab and Turkish origin – targeting Israeli soccer fans who had traveled to the city for a game.

The attackers gleefully posted on social media that they were engaging in a “Jew hunt” and displayed items, such as Israeli passports and cellphones, that they had stolen from their victims.

In videos shown in the courtroom, Sefa O was seen punching Israeli fans, kicking them while they were already on the ground, and chasing additional victims.

While acknowledging that the violent attacks had “little to do with football,” the prosecutor – whose name was not made public – said that the pogrom was not rooted in Jew-hatred.

“In this case, there was no evidence of… a terrorist intent and the violence was not motivated by antisemitic sentiment,” the prosecutor said, according to media reports summarizing his remarks in court.

Is he really that stupid, or is he suddenly going to come into a bunch of money?

“The violence was influenced by the situation in Gaza, not by antisemitism,” the prosecutor added.

And he doesn't know that the situation in Gaza was caused by virulent antisemitism?

Another man who appeared in court on Wednesday, identified by Dutch media as Abushabab M., 22, was charged with attempted manslaughter. According to media reports, he was seen sobbing hysterically in the courtroom.

The defendant, who was born in Gaza, had his sentencing delayed because no Arabic-language translator was available.

Speaking to the court, his attorney said that the judge should consider that the defendant grew up in a war zone and “is a young, vulnerable suspect with a life story that cuts to the bone.”

Maybe don't use the term 'cuts to the bone' when you are talking about Gaza and Oct 7th.

The attorney urged leniency, claiming that Abushabab M. wasmost likely suffering from a psychological disorder.”

If he's a radicalized Muslim, he is definitely suffering from a mental disorder.

Number of explosions increased again in the

Netherlands this year; 500 suspects arrested

Around 500 suspects have been arrested for explosions this year, policeman Jos van der Stap, who is also the maker of the program “High Impact Crimes,” told NOS. According to the police, there have been 1,100 attacks using explosives on homes and companies this year.

This is a significant increase in 2021 when there were 212 explosions. There had been 923 explosions the last time this was reported, which was in mid-November.

The firework Cobra is used in around 80 percent of the explosionsAlthough it is illegal, it is often bought via the black market because there is a demand for it in the Netherlands. Van der Stap said that the fireworks “have the power of a hand grenade and are a threat to a person’s life if it explodes close by.”

Police say that the Netherlands’ firework culture contributes to the fact that explosions occur a lot more often than in nearby countries. Van der Stap thinks that social media companies should also put more work into looking out for and cooperating with police when their sites are used to sell and buy illegal fireworks.

The Minister of Justice and Security, David van Weel, said that he is very concerned about the rise in explosions. He feels that these explosions are not fireworks and are more comparable to hand grenades.

This is why he also did not want to discuss a fireworks ban. “We see these types of explosions throughout the whole year. It happens every night somewhere in the Netherlands. It is a strange trend, and I see it as something different than fireworks.”
