Afghanistan: Taliban arrest a man for homosexuality

and then rape him in prison

You might wonder the Taliban would arrest a man for homosexuality and then rape him. The idea was to humiliate and degrade him. As long as the rapist doesn’t declare he is “gay,” and as long as he marries and has children, all will be well.

‘My whole body was praying for my death’: LGBTQ Afghans say they face abuse in detention as Taliban crackdown intensifies

by Billy Stockwell, CNN, November 19, 2024 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Warning: This report contains graphic descriptions of sexual violence.

It was the early hours of the morning when a guard entered Sohrab’s cell – a small, dark room with a barred window and a blanket on the floor – in Kabul’s sprawling Pul-e-Charkhi prison last August.

The 19-year-old was escorted to another room in the complex, where he heard a Taliban member order the prison guards to leave and stop anyone else from entering. Panic set in, for Sohrab knew what these words often preceded. He had experienced physical violence at the hands of the Taliban before.

“He grabbed me from behind, tore my clothes apart and raped me,” Sohrab – whose name has been changed for security reasons – told CNN in October. “For several days after that I had severe pain and bleeding.”

Sohrab was being detained at Pul-e-Charkhi on the charge of sodomy, after family members found out about his and his boyfriend’s clandestine romance last year, he said. News of their relationship had spread through their tight-knit community, leading to his arrest and forced confession.

Sohrab spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity, following his release from prison after two months. On his release, Sohrab said the Taliban warned that if he was arrested again, he would face execution….

Pakistan: Ahmadi Muslim hacked to death with an axe for being the wrong kind of Muslim

By Robert Spencer on Dec 8, 2024

The Qur’an forbids Muslims to kill other Muslims (4:92), but many Sunnis (and Shia as well) consider the Ahmadiyya to be hypocrites or apostates, and thus believe that they can lawfully be killed in jihad operations.

Ahmadi man killed in axe attack in Pakistan

PTI, December 6, 2024 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Lahore, Dec 6 (PTI) A trader belonging to the Ahmadi minority community was axed to death allegedly for his faith in Punjab province of Pakistan, police said on Friday.

According to police, Tayyab Ahmad, 40, was present at the shop of his brother in Rawalpindi city, some 275 km from Lahore, when an unidentified man attacked him with an axe, leaving him critically injured....

Police said during the initial investigation that it appears that Ahmad was killed for his faith. Quoting eyewitnesses, the police said.

"The young assailant during the attack kept on saying that “I have warned you Qadianis (Ahmadis) to leave this place”.

According to Ahmad's brother Tahir Qamar, a few days ago, a group of religious extremists had also attacked his shop by throwing stones and warned him to leave this place for being Ahmadi.

The deceased's family suspected that elements of radical Islamists, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), might be behind this heinous act....

Bangladesh: Muslims raid over 100 Hindu-owned

properties, loot millions over alleged blasphemy

By Ashlyn Davis on Dec 9, 2024

After DhakaComilla and Chittagong, rabid jihadists have again attacked minorities in Bangladesh, this time in Sylhet, and under the centuries-old, tried and tested pretext of "blasphemy." The rise of social media has made the job of these religious fanatics even easier, as they have to put little imagination or effort into making up a marketable story. They just allege that someone belonging to a non-Muslim community has made a random Facebook post, and within seconds, they assemble into crowds of hundreds and charge through non-Muslim areas, destroying everything that gets in their way.

i.e. Islamic Hysteria

On Wednesday, December 4, such a fanatic mob ran riot through Hindu-owned homes and businesses in the Dowarabazar area of Sunamganj in Bangladesh's Sylhet. The unrest started at sundown, gathered momentum through the night, and continued until past midnight, leading to significant damage to Hindu-owned property. An allegedly offensive Facebook post again triggered the attack on the Hindu minorities. It has been reported that the Muslims had gathered to hold a procession in order to protest a post that a Hindu boy made, and that the Muslims deemed offensive. However, as we have seen throughout history, such protests are never peaceful. All too many Muslims are oblivious to or contemptuous of the concept of finding a solution through dialogue, and are always prepared to take to the streets with their rustic weapons and draw the blood of their non-Muslim, weak, defenseless opponents.

We have no details on what was the content of the post that triggered a swarm of Muslims to rum amok through Hindu areas, except that it was an image of some kind. We don't even know if there is any veracity in the claim that a Hindu youth had made an offensive post.

We have frequently observed in the past how violent Muslim mobs have acted on mere rumors, looting and causing bloodshed, and investigations after the destruction proved that no Hindu had done anything to trigger such reactions. This time, too, a mere buzz about an alleged offensive post drove gangs of irate Muslims to embark upon their occasionally violent spree. The attackers wrecked and robbed dozens of homes and shops. Several gold stores owned by the Hindus were also burgled. The mob ransacked the local Loknath Temple, and valuables worth over 1,500,000 Bangladeshi taka ($12,500) were stolen. According to reports, at least 30 residential properties and more than 100 shops were destroyed in these attacks. The Muslims also targeted the house of Gaur Das, an eminent leader of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, and his family temple was torn down, also.

And yet there was no action from the Bangladeshi authorities against the rioters. Not that they are sitting idle. The Officer-in-Charge at the Dowarabazar police station, Zahidul Haque, confirms that a 21-year-old Hindu youth, Akash Das, has been detained for posting an image on social media that offended collective Muslim sentiments. The boy was presented in court and accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims. The court denied him bail and sent him to jail.

Now, what about the hurt sentiments of the Hindus whose homes were torn down and temples vandalized and looted?

As usual, Bangladeshi authorities found no foul play there, and it goes without saying that no action was taken against any of the rioters. Although Khokan Roy, general secretary of the temple in Sunamganj, confirmed that valuables worth 1,500,000 Bangladeshi taka were stolen, and the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council condemned the attack on the minorities, the Yunus government's police found no evidence of violence and riots. OC Zahidul said police had not received any reports of vandalism or attacks in the area due to the incident. "The village is remote, and most houses are dilapidated, with no concrete buildings." Deputy Commissioner Md Ilias Mia only hinted at possible premeditation behind the attack, and attempted to downplay its virulence by suggesting that the scale of the damage was likely exaggerated.

Nevertheless, he is admitting there was violence.
