Yet another nail in the coffin of self-love heresy. Self-sacrifice is the Holy Spirit’s ultimate expression of love. It is Agape love, the love that Jesus displayed when He walked upon the Earth. Self-love is ‘selfish’ and contends with ‘lust’ as the lowest form of love. If you practice self-love, Jesus says, “Come up higher!”
