NEW YORK — New York City’s department of education on Friday said it had launched an investigation after a department office sent out an anti-Israel toolkit that included “antisemitic language.”

“Today, a troubling oversight was brought to my attention, in which an offensive political toolkit was hyperlinked in one of our published newsletters,” New York City Schools Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos said in a statement. “The inclusion of this toolkit violates our policies on political neutrality and uses hateful, antisemitic language.”

The link to the toolkit was sent out in a Spring newsletter from the department’s Office of Student Pathways on April 1. The office prepares public school students for post-school careers.

In the newsletter, beneath an icon for the Holocaust Center for Humanity, were resources for “facilitating supportive conversations.” One of the resources was a link that read, “Scripts to contact representatives.” The link led to a Google doc titled “Stop Gaza Genocide Toolkit,” from the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, according to images that Jewish teacher advocates shared with The Times of Israel.

The toolkit surfaced after a source in the public school system shared the newsletter with the EndJewHatred advocacy group, said Michelle Ahdoot, an activist with the group. EndJewHatred publicized the newsletter, leading to the chancellor’s statement.

“Israel is on a total rampage of death and destruction,” the toolkit said, urging readers to call Congress to protest.

“There will be NO REST for Congress while they fund and enable genocide. Blood is on their hands,” the document said.

The document included images of protests, information about “money from pro-Israel groups,” protest graphics for social media, links to flyers to print out and information about attending protests.

“Israel is mass murdering Palestinian families with our tax dollars,” the document said.

The toolkit backed the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel, calling for boycotts of companies including McDonald’s, Disney and Domino’s Pizza, as well as the Israeli companies Ahava, SodaStream and Elbit. A graphic showed the Sabra hummus company’s logo dripping blood over the word “killer.”…

Who would have thought, nearly two and a half decades after 9/11, that the New York City Council would be brought to this level of dhimmitude? Imam Abdoulazakou Traore of the Darou Salam Islamic Community Inc. led the Council in prayer beginning with Al-Fatiha, the first chapter of the Qur’an and most common prayer in Islam. The Fatiha is recited seventeen times a day by the pious, and not only praises Allah as “Lord of the world,” but demonizes Jews as those who have earned Allah’s anger, and Christians as those who have gone astray.

Recall the words of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed:

We will win because Americans don’t realize…we do not need to defeat you militarily; we only need to fight long enough for you to defeat yourself by quitting….large-scale attacks such as 9/11 were “nice, but not necessary….jihadi-minded brothers would immigrate into the United States” and “wrap themselves in America’s rights and laws” until they were strong enough to rise up and attack us.

It’s progressing, as KSM predicted, under wokeism, and with the further help of wide-open borders, all while the New York City Council hails Allah as “as Lord of the world.”

A New York court sentenced Mohammed Othman, who brutally attacked Joseph Borgen on May 20, 2021, to five-and-a-half years in prison on Wednesday.

Othman assaulted and pepper-sprayed Borgen on Broadway near West 49th Street in the Diamond District while the latter was en route to a pro-Israel rally during the Israel-Gaza war (“Operation Pillar of Defense”). Othman pleaded guilty in October to second-degree assault as a hate crime.

Manhattan state Supreme Court Judge Felicia Mennin added five years of post-release supervision to Othman’s sentence. Prosecutors had asked for five years of incarceration for Othman, who was the second defendant in the case whom Mennin sentenced beyond what prosecutors sought….

Borgen was wearing a yarmulke when Othman and four other men ambushed him, shouting antisemitic slurs. Punched and kicked repeatedly and beaten with a crutch, Borgen suffered a concussion, wrist injury and black eye. His body was left bruised. He said he will require another wrist surgery and still deals with the incident’s lingering physical effects.

Video evidence showed Othman pepper-spraying Borgen three times and spraying a bystander who tried to protect Borgen. Othman was also recorded throwing a firework at a Jewish woman, burning her, from the back of a pickup truck.

Othman, 26, of Staten Island, had six prior arrests, including domestic violence charges….

Three other attackers have been sentenced. Waseem Awawdeh, who beat Borgen with a crutch and reportedly said of the attack, “If I could do it again, I would,” pleaded guilty to attempted assault as a hate crime and received 18 months in jail.

In November, Mahmoud Musa received seven years in prison for his role in the attack, when he maced, kicked, punched and beat Borgen with crutches. The sentence was six months beyond the prosecutor’s recommendation….

Tehran: Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei appointed on Saturday a new police chief, nearly four months into protests triggered by Mahsa Amini’s death.

The Islamic republic has been gripped by unrest since the September 16 death in custody of Iranian Kurdish Amini, 22, following her arrest for allegedly violating the country’s strict dress code for women.

Khamenei, who has the final say in major state policies and is commander-in-chief of Iran’s armed forces, appointed General Ahmad-Reza Radan to replace Hossein Ashtari, said a statement posted on the leader’s official website.

Khamenei ordered the police department to “improve its capabilities” as well as “train specialised forces for various security sectors”.

This doesn't sound very promising for the girls.

Radan, born in 1963, was deputy police chief from 2008 to 2014 and went on to lead the police’s Centre for Strategic Studies. He was replaced as deputy by Ashtari, who was made the force’s commander in 2015.

Both Radan and Ashtari began their military career in the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The new police chief was sanctioned by the United States in 2010, and later on by the European Union, over “human rights abuses” in connection with protests that followed Iran’s contested presidential elections of 2009.

In the statement announcing Radan’s appointment, Khamenei expressed “gratitude and satisfaction” with Ashtari’s eight-year service.

Iranian authorities describe the current nationwide protests as “riots” and say hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed and thousands arrested.

Cairo: Police in Riyadh had arrested an expatriate for illegally employing and accommodating 17 female expatriates, reported to have absented themselves from their official workplaces, Saudi media reported.

The male suspect, an Egyptian national, had harboured the absentees in a housing unit in Riyadh in violation of law.

They all were arrested and referred to public prosecution, police said, without giving further details.

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry has repeatedly warned that those who facilitate the entry of infiltrators into the kingdom or provide them with transportation, shelter or any sort of assistance face penalties of a maximum of 15 years in prison, and a fine of up to SR1 million, as well as confiscation of the transport and the accommodation means, in addition to naming to shame them.

In recent months, Saudi Arabia, which hosts a large community of migrant workers, has intensified a crackdown on violators of its labour, residency and border security laws.

Last week, Saudi authorities arrested two citizens for transporting and sheltering illegal expatriates in the south-western region of Asir.

A spokesman for Asir police said transportation and accommodation of violators of the border security rules is a major, dishonouring crime punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a hefty fine.

Saudi Arabia earlier this month said it had arrested 15,328 illegal expatriates in one week.

The arrests, made over the period from December 22 to 28, included 8,808 violators of the kingdom’s residency system, 4,038 more violators of the border security rules and 2,482 others who breached the labour regulations.

During the same period, authorities arrested 10 persons for involvement in transporting and sheltering violators of residency, border and work regulations.

It’s often said that Danes are fiercely protective of their culture, but that younger generations are far more open to societal change and diversity. However. a new study of young ethnically-Danish people’s attitudes towards immigrants would appear to buck that theory.

It suggests that while young Danes are generally sympathetic to the plight of refugees, they would not like to see them, or immigrants, educated at the same schools as their children.

Last summer, around 500 Danes aged 18-30 took part in ‘Changing Minds – Improving Citizens’, a survey conducted by Trampolinhuset in collaboration with partners in Romania and Spain, where a further 1,000 young adults were interviewed. 

A third of the sample in Denmark concur there are too many immigrants in Denmark, and that they have no interest in entering into a relationship with one.

Positive about economic benefits

Some 85 percent agreed that there were many/a fair number of immigrants in Denmark – of these, 45 percent said there were too many.

Some 41 percent believe the immigrants are far more likely to commit crimes than ethnic Danes, and only 36 percent said they would be comfortable with having one as a neighbour.

While the women in the survey said they empathised with the challenges faced by immigrants, most men said they were mostly indifferent to their situation, with some saying they felt threatened.

Those who were positive about immigration said they were happy about the increased cultural diversity and economic growth it caused.

Politicians’ rhetoric to blame

Trampolinhuset regards the survey as a wake-up call that Denmark “cannot live in isolation from the outside world”, but is not surprised by the findings.

“The survey reveals attitudes that are natural for a generation that has grown up with governments, politicians and opinion makers over the last 25 years using immigrants and refugees actively as enemy images in their political campaigns,” it contended.

This is a typically far-left observation that is nowhere near reality. It's not the conservative politicians who have influenced opinion, it is the liberal governments who decided that cultural suicide was a good thing. It was also the reality of migrants bringing criminal behaviour to Denmark, as well as a religion that has no tolerance for Christianity.

“We need their ideas and labour. Today’s Danes already come in all colours and with many different cultures in their luggage. If we want democracy for all of us, we must stop thinking in ‘them and us’ terms. Since our politicians live in the past, it is a task that civil society must undertake.”

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has bought another 110 acres of land on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, assuming ownership of territory that includes a reservoir and a pristine forest, despite protests from locals.

The social media tycoon and his wife now own 1,400 acres of land on the island, much of it protected agricultural and conservation land. The latest addition to their $100 million Ko’olau Ranch includes the Ka Loko reservoir, where a dam collapsed in 2006 after 40 days of rain, killing seven people, local media reported this week. The disaster was blamed on the previous owners, from whom the Zuckerbergs bought the property in November for $17 million.

The billionaire has previously faced accusations of trying to “colonize” Kauai. The couple’s actions on purchasing their first mansion on the island in 2014 were hardly neighborly, with the billionaire opting to build a wall around the 707-acre property to block locals from accessing Pila’a Beach, which had been a spot loved by locals and travelers alike. Zuckerberg was subsequently accused of attempting to force tenant farmers from their land – a quest he finally gave up three years later, apologizing in the local paper for his attempted takeover. 

The Zuckerbergs also own most of Kahu’aina Plantation and Larsen’s Beach, having acquired an additional 600 acres in April for $53 million. The security team assigned to protect the pair and their investments costs more than half as much, running to $23 million, according to local media.

That team is probably worth the money, given how many signatures have been accrued on a Change.org petition asking the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to “Stop Mark Zuckerberg from colonizing Kauai.” Over a million people have signed the petition at the time of writing.

The Zuckerbergs are far from the only tech billionaires expanding their footprints across Hawaii’s tropical paradise islands. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos bought a $78 million estate on Maui in November after leaving his wife, staking claim to a marine fishing reserve with his partner Lauren Sanchez. 

His presence can’t be sitting too well with the locals, as even they are not permitted to fish or conduct commercial activity in the area. He also recently snapped up a huge piece of property for his parents on the island. Meanwhile, Oracle’s Larry Ellison owns almost the entire island of Lanai.

A total of 847 cars were set ablaze in France in the early hours of the first day of the new year, the Interior Ministry said, with hundreds of people detained over the destruction.

The mass burning of parked vehicles has become an infamous and much lamented ‘tradition’ in France, where hundreds of vehicles are torched almost every New Year’s Eve. 

This year, however, fewer cars were damaged than before, according to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, who attributed the decrease to a bigger police presence and speedy action by relevant public services.

Darmanin thanked police and civil security personnel on Twitter for the “decrease in violence.” Despite the efforts of security officials, hundreds of cars were still set ablaze – but Darmanin noted the number was smaller than in 2019, when more than 1,300 vehicles were torched.

Some 95,000 police officers and gendarmes were deployed to the streets of the French cities on Saturday night to maintain law and order, as well as enforce the government’s Covid-19 restrictions that put a cap on participants at gatherings. Around 32,000 firefighters and civil security officials also aided in dealing with the nighttime incidents.

In the French city of Strasbourg alone, 87 cars were set on fire, around 30 people were arrested and four police officers were injured, according to the French media. The city saw the rioters mounting particularly fierce resistance and clashing with law enforcement, including by pelting the officers with firecrackers.

The total number of detentions and arrests was also slightly higher than in 2019, with 441 people arrested throughout France.

The practice of car-torching became popular among youths in poor French neighborhoods in the 1990s and it became particularly widespread on New Year’s Eve. It also reached an unprecedented scale during three weeks of riots that engulfed the suburbs of the French capital, Paris, and other cities back in 2005. At that time, 8,810 vehicles were burned.

The German city of Leipzig saw its streets turn into an arena for intense clashes between police and rioters on New Year’s Eve as hundreds gathered in the city’s east.

Soon after the clock struck midnight, the Leipzig police began receiving the first reports about violence and property damage. Officers had to respond to almost 170 calls in Leipzig and its surrounding areas in just over two hours on Saturday (Friday???) night, police said in a statement. They called it a “sharp increase” in comparison to an “ordinary Friday night.”

A crowd comprising “hundreds” of people gathered at Eisenbahnstrasse Street in the city’s east, with the area quickly becoming an arena for clashes between rioting revelers and law enforcement. Police vehicles were pelted with various objects, including firecrackers. The rioters also set up barricades from shopping carts and set them on fire. 

Photos from the scene showed officers in riot gear moving through thick smoke coming from the burning barricades. The Eisenbahnstrasse has previously gained notoriety due to local crime rates and the drug trade. It was even dubbed Germany’s “worst street.” 

So, it sounds like this is the domain of Muslim migrant street gangs. But, European media would never make that distinction.

Police said several of their vehicles were damaged but that the clashes resulted in no injuries and were under control at around 2am local time. It is still unclear who initiated the violence and what motivated the rioters.

It is not the first time Leipzig has seen clashes on New Year’s Eve. The city has for some time been known as a center of left-wing violence. Last year, unknown assailants set vehicles belonging to the German Army – the Bundeswehr – on fire. Two years ago, the city saw riots in the Connewitz district – an area which saw a massive police deployment this year and remained largely peaceful on Saturday night.

Leipzig was not the only German city that witnessed clashes between rioters and police on New Year’s Eve, as similar incidents were reported in Stuttgart and Dresden but they were smaller in scale.

CNN host Anderson Cooper awkwardly tried to shut down his co-host’s drunken rant about New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio during the network’s New Year’s Eve coverage.

After Cooper and fellow CNN New Year’s Eve Live co-host Andy Cohen downed shots – presumably with tequila – on live television, Cohen unloaded on the Democratic mayor as Cooper repeatedly tried to get him to stop.

“Let me tell you something. Watching Mayor de Blasio doing his victory lap dance after four years of the crappiest term as the mayor of New York… The only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been,” Cohen shouted with slurred words, as Cooper begged, “Don’t go on a rant. Don’t, don’t, don’t… Is that how you want to start the new year?”

Cooper became increasingly uncomfortable as Cohen refused to cease the rant, grabbing his co-host by the coat as Cohen celebrated the fact that he wouldn’t have to watch the outgoing mayor celebrate “as the city comes apart” next New Year’s Eve.

Actually, he didn't look all that uncomfortable to me at any time in the sequence. He looks too drunk to be uncomfortable. Have you ever seen a live program where the hosts are drunk? A national program? Take a look for yourself.

After serving two terms as mayor of New York City, de Blasio was succeeded by fellow Democrat Eric Adams on January 1. De Blasio has been described as one of the worst mayors in the city’s history for overseeing a significant rise in crime and disorder in the city after taking over from the previous mayor, Mike Bloomberg.

A new twist has emerged in the death of Jeffrey Epstein, with the Department of Justice revealing that disgraced pedophile was removed from suicide watch by a doctoral-level psychologist before he hanged himself on August 10. 

In a letter written to the House Judiciary Committee, which was obtained by Fox News on Friday, DOJ official Stephen E. Boyd wrote: ' The Department can confirm that Mr. Epstein was placed on suicide watch in July. 

'Mr. Epstein was later removed from suicide watch after being evaluated by a doctoral-level psychologist who determined that a suicide watch was no longer warranted.'

It's thought Epstein first tried to kill himself on July 23, when he was found unconscious in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.

He was rushed to hospital, before returning to the prison, where he was put on suicide watch. 

The DOJ letter did not reveal when he was examined by the doctoral-level psychologist. Further, they did not name the psychologist - who, having attained a PhD doctorate - had achieved the highest possible level of education in their field. 

Despite being taken off suicide watch, however, Epstein was not allowed to be left unattended in his cell, according to a bombshell report published in The Washington Post. However, the paper reported that, while at least eight Bureau of Prisons staffers knew of this fact, such orders were ignored in the 24 hours before Epstein's suicide. 

The staffers reportedly included managers and low-level correctional officers alike.  

Attorney General William Barr, who has ordered a probe into Epstein's death, has already removed the director of the federal Bureau of Prisons and appointed a new director and deputy director since Epstein died 13 days ago. 

 Meanwhile, Fox also reports that the jail's warden has been reassigned to a desk post at a regional office.

yet they ignored the strict rules, leading to the pedophile's shocking suicide on August 10

Two guards who were supposed to be monitoring Epstein on the night of his suicide have also been placed on administrative leave.  

Despite Barr's changes, he has dampened conspiracy theories that Epstein may have been murdered in his prison cell, by claiming that he believes the pedophile did, in fact, take his own life. 

'I have seen nothing that undercuts the finding of the medical examiner that this was a suicide,' Barr said to reporters Wednesday. 

Seriously! It's been known for centuries that if you hang someone they die from suffocation unless they drop some 8 or 10 feet and suddenly stop. Then, the hanging person's neck breaks. Epstein had a broken neck. Was it possible for him to hang himself and then drop 8 or 10 feet? Was his cell 10 feet high with something to tie his sheets to at the top? Did he have more than one sheet? Why? 

Did the doctor remove him from suicide watch because Epstein told him it was attempted murder? 

How many powerful people had motive to shut him up? And they certainly had opportunity.

'Epstein's death, I think we will see, was a suicide and I do think there are some irregularities at the Metropolitan Correctional Center,' he said, as per ABC.
