Iranian who killed someone in UK can stay in Canada, his bisexuality would put him at risk back home
The case of Sirus Lotfi isn’t surprising in a country that has been governed for over ten consecutive years by the far-left Liberals, who have not prioritized national security.
Recall that in 2017, during Trump’s first term, illegal refugees flowed in from the U.S. through the notorious Roxham Road in Quebec. Following Trump’s Executive Order to temporarily ban travelers from seven countries of concern, most of which were Muslim, Trudeau immediately tweeted a welcome to refugees: “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength #WelcomeToCanada.” This was taken as a free-for-all invitation. Then he threw out a welcome mat to returning Islamic State jihadis.
There are at least 500,000 people “living and dead working in the shadows” in Canada, a.k.a. undocumented migrants. No one knows their background.
Canada’s intelligence agency CSIS has long admitted that dozens of known jihadis are walking free, and authorities won’t charge them. And leaked intelligence documents showed a much greater threat of Islamic terror than the Liberal government ever admitted.
Sirus Lotfi is yet another symptom of a broken immigration system that threatens the well-being of Canadians.
Iranian who killed someone in England gets another chance to stay in Canada
by Chris Lambie, National Post, June 21, 2025:
An Iranian whose refugee claim was turned down in Canada because he was convicted in England 16 years ago of a serious assault that left one person dead and another two injured will get another shot at arguing he should be allowed to stay here because his bisexuality, Kurdish ethnicity, conversion from Islam to Christianity and identity as a Westerner would all put him at risk back home.
In my humble opinion, bisexuality is a choice not a condition. Also, if you are a real Christian, you cannot be bisexual. There are no gays in Christendom regardless of what anyone says. God says they are an abomination. That's it!
An immigration officer refused Sirus Lotfi’s last ditch plea to stay in Canada in March 2024, arguing he had not provided sufficient evidence to establish the basis for his protection claim.
“I respectfully disagree with this position,” Justice Angus Grant wrote in a recent Federal Court decision out of Toronto…
