Fine to sacrifice half a million lives to get at Ukraine’s minerals? We are better than that.
*Are we? We haven't been better than that since your uncle was murdered. That's when Deep State took over America.
Aaaand there it is.
This war is about controlling trillions of dollars of minerals, all of which happen to be located in precisely the region that Ukraine was planning to cede in exchange for peace when the US stepped in to scuttle the deal in April 2022.
Our leaders judged the bounty worth tens of thousands of human lives, many of them teenagers.
Two years and two hundred billion dollars later, Russia controls all those minerals and vastly more Ukrainian land than they would have under the terms of that original deal.
Now these same leaders dare risk nuclear confrontation as they make a last grasp at those riches -- death and destruction, all to pad a few pockets and power the chips in our phones.
*Yes, but Amaryllis, the same people who make money from these minierals, also make money from making and selling the war industry. Even as we give $billions to Ukraine, we buy new equipment to replace them in the American military, consequently, US taxpayers are getting soaked for hundreds of billions of dollars to make the rich richer.
Also, many of these same American and European oligarchs happen to believe that there are too many people in the world and so killing off a few hundred thousand here and there is a good thing.
