50 Terrorists Arrested as Massive Palestinian Terror Cell Uncovered in the West Bank

Israeli security forces uncover massive PFLP terror cell in Ramallah area, arrest dozens of terrorists involved in string of terror attacks

Arutz Sheva Staff,

Israeli security forces operating in Samaria have uncovered a massive terrorist cell responsible for a string of terror attacks in the area, the Shin Bet internal security agency revealed Wednesday morning.

Some 50 terrorists linked to a cell operated by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) have been arrested in the Ramallah area of Samaria, the Shin Bet said.

The PFLP terror cell was discovered during operations carried out by the Shin Bet, IDF, and Israel Police.

The terror cell’s members include the three terrorists responsible for the August bombing attack near Dolev, in western Samaria, which killed 17-year-old Rina Shnerb and injured her father and brother.

Investigators also found that the terror cell was involved in the two shooting attacks near Beit El, north of Jerusalem, a year and a half ago.

Security officials say the terror cell was planning major attacks, set to be carried out in the near future.

The three terrorists from the cell who carried out the August 2019 bombing attack that killed Rina Shnerb include:

Forty-four-year-old Samer Arbid of Ramallah, who was arrested in September for the attack and has been arrested four times in the past for his terrorist activities. Arbid organized the terror cell and was responsible both for constructing and detonating the bomb which killed Shnerb.

Yazan Hussein Hassani Magmas, 24, a resident of Bir Zeit near Ramallah, who was involved in not only the August 2019 bombing attack but also a number of other terror attacks.

Twenty-four-year-old Kassam Al Karim Ragah Shabli of Kobar, near Ramallah. Likue Magmas, he was involved in other terror attacks prior to the August bombing.

During the Shin Bet internal security agency’s interrogation of the three terrorists involved in the bombing attack, information was obtained leading to the discovery of various hidden weapons linked to the PFLP cell, including an M-16 assault rifle, an AK-47 assault rifle, a Galil assault rifle, a carbine rifle, a mini-uzi-style submachine gun, a number of pistols, a silencer, material used for the assembly of bombs, remote detonators, telescopic rifle sights, and large quantities of ammunition.

Many of the weapons were found during a joint IDF, Israel Police raid of the home of one of Arbid’s relatives.

Fox News Host Shocks Audience by Asking: ‘Do We Need AR-15s?’

Fox News host Gretchen Carlson caused shock on Wednesday by calling into question whether Americans should be able to purchase AR-15s, a semi-automatic rifle that has been used in several recent mass shootings.

“Yes, the Orlando massacre was terror, but there is no doubt that Omar Mateen was able to kill so many people because he was firing an AR-15. A military-style assault weapon. A weapon easier to buy in the state of Florida than buying a handgun,” she said.

While many news outlets have reported that Mateen used an AR-15, he actually used a Sig Sauer MCX, a similar weapon.

Carlson pointed to the fact that Florida has a three-day waiting period for handguns, but there is no waiting period “for any gun that requires two hands to hold.”

“Here’s my question today. Do we need AR-15s to hunt and kill deer? Do we need them to protect our families?” she asked.

“Yes, I’m in favor of people being able to carry. I think some of these mass shootings would have been less deadly if that were the case," she said. “But I’m also with the majority today taking a stand. Can’t we hold true the sanctity of the second amendment while still having common sense? That brings us to our question of the day. Should congress reinstate the assault weapons ban?”

Carlson received praise – as well as a lot of hate – for expressing this opinion before Fox’s conservative audience.

Tim, do you really think we should fire people for asking questions or stating an opinion? Don't we have the right to free speech?

So, who is it you are afraid of? Is it the government? This is paranoia fed by arms merchants and manufacturers. If the government wants to kill you, an AR15 is not going to stop them. 100 million AR15s wouldn't be able to stop them, they can just drop bombs and blow you to hell.

@GretchenCarlson @FoxNews you need to go hang your self and move over with the commies on CNN - drop dead

This is very disappointing in that there seems to be no room for debate in Fox's audience. Free speech only if you say what I want to hear. Social media has spoiled us from critical thinking. We unfriend anyone who disagrees with us, so we never hear the other side of an argument. If you can't defend the things you believe in, they are not of much value.

 Nate Hermes @natehermes
@GretchenCarlson @FoxNews thank you for speaking from your heart. i too support a ban on or extremely strict regulations on assault weapons.

 John Boy @GovCorrupted
@jefsauce @SquirellE1 @GretchenCarlson @FoxNews Purpose is irrelevant. A RIGHT IS A RIGHT IS A RIGHT & no gov can take it away! Period!

So, do you have the right to carry grenade launchers, flame-throwers? You have a right to free speech but can you destroy someone's life by lying about them?

You are treating your 2nd Amendment rights the same way abortionists treat abortion. It's a woman's right! Does the baby have a right to live? Apparently not! That right is trumped by a woman's right to her own body, as insane as that is.

Did the children at Newtown have a right to live? Apparently not! That right is trumped by your paranoia over your gun rights. That's just as insane as the abortionists.

Abortion became a right because of the heavy lobbying of women's rights groups. Owning assault weapons became a right because Congressman and Senators were bought off by those who make money from the deaths of innocent children and adults.

Carlson finished her statement by taking a look at a Fox News Twitter poll on the issue, in which viewers voted overwhelmingly (89 to 11 percent) against the idea of barring Americans from buying the weapons.

“That’s what makes America great,” Carlson concluded.

That's what she said, but I doubt that that is what she wanted to say. I suspect she wanted to say that the poll results were disgusting. Arms merchants, the NRA have you so twisted, so paranoid, that mass murders have little or no effect on you. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

'God Stepped In': Pastor Disarms Gunman in Church

American Christians are more likely to believe in the motto,
'In Guns We Trust'; as opposed to 'In God We Trust'!
But it is wonderful to know that there are still some Christians
who's faith is in God.

A rifle-toting man entered a North Carolina church service late on New Year's Eve claiming he "was going to do some bad things." Tragedy was averted when the church's pastor peacefully disarmed the man.

During the service held late Thursday evening, a man holding a semi-automatic assault rifle in one hand and a loaded ammunition clip in the other walked into Heal The Land Outreach Ministries in Fayetteville, North Carolina, WNCN reported.

Upon spotting the weapon, pastor Larry Wright interrupted his sermon and walked toward the man as the 60 or so members of the congregation began to panic, some heading for the exits.

"I'm the first person to see him and when I saw him, I thought it was a dummy gun, but then I saw the bullet clip in his hand and the bullets were shining," Wright told CNN.

Approaching the man, who appeared to be in his 20s, the pastor asked, "Can I help you?" the Fayetteville Observer reported.

"If he was belligerent, I was going to tackle him," said Wright, who is 57, 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds.

The man was calm, though, eventually allowing the pastor to take his firearm.

"He said, ‘I came here with some terrible things on my mind, I was going to do some bad things,'” Wright told WNCN.

The man, who has not been identified by police, told Wright he had been hurt by the church in the past. In addition, he was recently released from prison, a military veteran and a new father.

Wright gave the weapon to a deacon, patted the man down, and called on other deacons to embrace the man to make him feel welcome.

“When I told the congregation, it's OK, he wants prayer and I began to pray for him, and the power of God hit and he fell to his knees and began to cry and weep and he had his face on the ground,” Wright told WNCN.

The man was invited to sit in the front pew of church to listen to the rest of Wright's sermon.

"I finished the message, I did the altar call and he stood right up, came up to the altar, and gave his life to Christ," Wright said. "I came down and prayed with him and we embraced. It was like a father embracing a son."

Police were alerted to the scene and were waiting in the vestibule, as Wright requested they remain outside.

“I didn’t want to interrupt the service,” Wright said.

Following his embrace of Wright, the man asked to speak to the churchgoers. He apologized for his actions, saying he had intended to do something terrible, but God had spoken to him.

“God stepped in and he moved on that young man’s heart and instead of him shooting and killing a whole lot of people, God touched his heart,” Wright said.

The man was led away by police following the service. Fayetteville police spokesman Lieutenant David McLaurin said the man requested treatment and was taken to a nearby medical facility.

A deacon at the church said Wright was discussing gun violence when the man walked in that evening.

"I think that night the spirit of God was definitely in the place," Sylvester Loving told the Observer.

It is not at all unusual for God to illustrate a good preacher's sermon in some amazing way, although this was pretty spectacular.

North Carolina does not have a state law restricting transfer or possession of assault weapons. To own a rifle or shotgun in the state, one does not have to acquire a permit to purchase or carry, nor be licensed. Registration of the firearm is also not necessary.

How insane is that? The man just got out of prison, probably has PTSD, and he's able to get his hands on an assault rifle and walk into a church with it.

With almost 30 years of experience as a pastor, Wright is also a Fayetteville city councilman and a retired Army sergeant. Fort Bragg, a major US Army base that is home to the 82nd Airborne Division, is located just outside Fayetteville.

You are my hero today, Pastor Wright, for your courage and your faith. God bless you.
