What do Islam, Antisemitics, and some Catholics have in common?

They don't believe that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was Jewish. What was she if she was not Jewish? Would God have encouraged Joseph to marry outside of Judaism because He couldn't find a righteous Jewish girl to impregnate with His Son?

The astonishingly stupid and often vulgar statements made on social media decry a desperate antisemitism that seems to link Islam, Jew haters, and some Catholics. Are there other pseudo-Christians who are offended by the idea that Mary was a Jew. If so, you had better learn some truth and humility in a hurry.

Caution: Vulgar language and extraordinary stupidity and hatefulness follow, as is often the case when quoting godless people. I call Muslims godless because their faith is not in God the Father or Jesus His Son.

Uproar Ensues as a Jewish Woman From the Middle East

Plays a Jewish Woman From the Middle East

All hell has broken loose because Netflix dared to make a movie about the mother of Jesus, Mary, and had the poor taste of using a Jewish woman from the Middle East to play the part of a Jewish woman from the Middle East. The outpouring of venom and display of ignorance at this choice was quite amazing. More on the outrage expressed can be found here:

‘A disgusting Jew’: Uproar after Netflix casts

Jewish-Israeli actress to play Mary, Jesus’s mom

by Hannah Brown, Jerusalem Post, November 14, 2024:

Netflix released the trailer earlier this week for Mary, its upcoming movie about Jesus’s mother – a Jewish woman from the Middle East –  and a good chunk of the Internet is melting down, because the actress in the lead role is a Jewish woman from the Middle East.

Noa Cohen, a 21-year-old Israeli actress, portrays the world’s most famous Jewish mom in the movie, but some social media users are calling for a boycott.

Objections were raised both on the grounds that Cohen is Israeli and that she is Jewish, with anti-Zionism and antisemitism fusing in some posts, as they tend to do more and more these days. This subject, since it points to the fact that Jews lived in the land of Israel hundreds of years before Islam was established, whipped social-media users into a particularly petulant storm of grievance.

Jews have been living in the Land of Israel not for “hundreds of years” before Islam appeared early in seventh century, but for more than two thousand years before there was a single Muslim in the world.

Having Mary played by Noa Cohen, a 21-year-old actress from Israel, has enraged both the antisemites and the anti-Israel activists who always manage to overlap. They apparently cannot accept the idea that Mary was a Jew and — horribile dictu — so was Jesus.

Here are some of their hysterical remarks:

An X user called America First ZOE (AFZ) posted an image of Cohen’s Instagram account, writing, “A disgusting Jew got the part. lol.”

Red Pill Media wrote, “Jews created this and the actors are jewish. No thanks.”

Kathy, an X user whose bio reads, “It’s Palestine. It will always be Palestine,” wrote, “F*** you. I’m an offended Catholic. F***ing have an Israeli play Mary? May you all be f***ing smited. Blasphemous”

Apparently there are still a great many people who cannot accept the idea that Mary was Jewish, and so was Joseph, and so, of course, was Jesus. It’s just too upsetting. So please don’t upset them by trying to make them believe that tall tale about a Jewish Mary. How could a good Christian girl like Mary possibly be played by a “disgusting Jew”?

Can you imagine the outrage of having a cast of Jews playing a cast of Jews? It’s a Zionist plot. Everyone knows the Zionists call Mary a “whore” and reject her son — because both of them, obviously, were “Palestinians.” Why didn’t Netflix remain true to history and choose “Palestinians” to play the Holy Family?

Jeff Stan wrote on X/Twitter, Mary was not a ‘Jew’.” Adam Kout said, “As a muslim you have no right to insult mother Mary, one of the best female figures in Islam.”…

So Mary was “not a Jew” for some commentators. And for others, she was not only “not a Jew,” but “one of the best female figures in Islam,” right up there with little Aisha and Dalal Mughrabi.

Imagine how unpleasantly surprised Jeff Stan will be if he ever discovers that Mary was indeed Jewish, despite his furious claims to the contrary, and how mortified Adam Kout will be to find out that she was not “one of the best female figures in Islam.”  And “America First AOZ” will learn that no one in his right mind would agree with his description of the beautiful Israeli girl who plays Mary, Noa Cohen, as a “disgusting Jew.”

Red Pill Media saw a sinister Jewish plot behind the movie — “Jews created this [movie] and the actors are jewish. No thanks.” Then the anti-Israel brigade chimed in, with chatty Kathy (whose on-line biography says “It’s Palestine. It will always be Palestine”) nicely blending her anti-Israeli animus with antisemitism, writing, “F*** you. I’m an offended Catholic. F***ing have an Israeli play Mary? May you all be f***ing smited. Blasphemous.” And Salim and Adam claimed her for Islam. And Jeff insisted “Mary was not a Jew.”

Beautifully expressed, by all of you. Take a bow, Kathy, Jeff, Adam, Salim, Red Pill Media, tutti quanti. Really, I can’t imagine a more informative display.

Islam Hates Christianity > Mohammed Claimed he would sleep with Mary in Heaven

Formatting problems originate with Blogspot

What a disgusting thought! Especially since Mohammed preferred little girls late in life. Aisha was 9 when they consummated their marriage. Even if you realize that Mary is not a perpetual virgin, it's still sickening.

“At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven” (Matthew 22:30)

Pope Francis: ‘Mary Unites Muslims and Christians’

Pope Francis is highlighting the Blessed Virgin Mary as a unifying figure between Muslims and Christians, despite the significant departures between Islamic trashing of the Mother of God and dogmatic Catholic teaching.

During his visit to Verona prison — a detention facility with a significantly high number of Muslim prisoners — the pontiff insisted that “the figure of Mary is a figure common to both Christianity and Islam, she is a common figure, she unites us all.”

Jesus is also in the Quran (Isa) along with Mary, so why not use Him as a unifying figure? Why not? Because Muslims hate Isa and anything to do with Christianity. Perhaps they are jealous because Isa performed miracles in the Quran and Mohammed didn't. Perhaps deep down they realize that they chose the wrong "prophet" to follow.

Pope Presents Islamic Theology of God

Francis spent Saturday in the city made famous by the playwright William Shakespeare in his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet, where he visited the Montorio Prison and addressed the prisoners, urging detainees to “talk to God about our pain and help each other carry it.”

In a bid to relate to the Islamic notion of a compassionate Allah (which translates simply to “God”), Francis described God as possessing “three principal virtues: closeness, compassion and tenderness.”

I don't doubt that those are virtues of God, but 'principal' virtues?

“God is close to all of us, God is compassionate, and God is tender. And I thought about tenderness — we don’t talk much about tenderness — and I thought of this gift: the Madonna with Child, which is indeed a gesture of tenderness,” he added.

Satan is closer to some of us, unfortunately, and he is neither compassionate nor tender.

In her welcome speech, prison director Francesca Gioieni informed the 87-year old pontiff that the inmates came from 40 different countries and a variety of religious backgrounds.

“God is one,” the pope told the prisoners. “Our cultures have taught us to call him by different names, and to find him in different ways, but He is the same Father of us all.”

“He is one,” Francis continued, “and all religions, all cultures, look to the one God in different ways. He never abandons us. With Him by our side, we can overcome despair and live every moment as the right time to begin again.”

That doesn't explain the enmity between Islam and Christianity. Nor does it explain the genocide of evil nations in the Old Testament under God's command.

Academics Accuse Pontiff of Promoting Religious Indifferentism

The pontiff’s controversial remarks come days after a coalition of academics and writers accused him of promoting the heresy that “God not only permits, but positively wills the pluralism and diversity of religions, both Christian and non-Christian.”

Within days after those comments – the Vatican unofficially backpedaled somewhat, saying the pope’s words should be taken to understand that it is God’s permissive will, not active, that is responsible.

But 20 years earlier, the Vatican was a bit more direct.

According to the declaration Dominus Iesus (On the Unicity and Salvific Universality of Jesus Christ and the Church), “the Church’s constant missionary proclamation is endangered today by relativistic theories which seek to justify religious pluralism, not only de facto, but also de iure (or in principle)”.

“It is clear that it would be contrary to the faith to consider the Church as one way of salvation alongside those constituted by the other religions,” the declaration, issued by Cdl. Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI) as prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine for the Faith in 2000, stated.

Further, Ratzinger warned against identifying “the One and Triune God” revealed in the Holy Scriptures with “belief in other religions, which is religious experience still in search of the absolute truth and still lacking assent to God who reveals himself.”

Scholar on Islam Warns About Syncretism with ‘Muslim Mary’

In comments to Souls and Liberty, Islamic historian Raymond Ibrahim said that Francis’ series of remarks was “yet another attempt to try to convince Catholics that Islam is somehow similar to their faith when, in fact, Islam appropriates the names and sacred auras of biblical figures, but then recasts them with completely different attributes.”

Ibrahim, a prolific writer and author of recent bestseller Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War Between Islam and the West, explained: “Far from being the Eternal Virgin as she is for 1.5 billion Christians — Catholics and Orthodox — Islam presents Mary the Mother of Christ as ‘married’ to and ‘copulating’ with Muhammad in paradise.”

In an article for FrontPage Magazine titled “Muhammad and the Virgin Mary: A Match Made in Heaven?” Ibrahim cited a hadith (Islamic canonical tradition) where Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, declares: “Allah will wed me in paradise to Mary, daughter of Imran.”

Few Christians know about this claim, but medieval Christians living under Islamic occupation were familiar with it because their Muslim conquerors regularly humiliated them with this text to refute the Church’s claim of Mary’s “perpetual virginity,” writes Ibrahim.

The Catholic and Orthodox churches walked right into this humiliation with their insistence that Mary is a perpetual virgin. This is not Biblical since Jesus had several brothers and sisters, and Mary was a wife to Joseph for several years.

In fact, Egypt’s former Deputy Minister of Religious Endowments, Dr. Salem Abdul Galil, openly declared that among other biblical women like Moses’ sister and Pharaoh’s wife, “our prophet Muhammad — prayers and peace be upon him — will be married to (the Virgin) Mary in paradise.”

Ibrahim obtained the Arabic video of Galil stating this on the Mahwar television network.

“Far from creating ‘commonalities,’ it should be clear that such appropriation creates conflict,” Ibrahim stressed.

Francis Urges Confessors to ‘Forgive Everyone’

Addressing priests in Verona, Francis urged confessors to offer unconditional forgiveness to penitents coming for confession.

“Please, may it not be a torture session. Please, forgive everything. Everything. And forgive without causing suffering, forgive opening your heart to hope. I ask this of you priests, The Church needs forgiveness, and you are the tools to forgive. Everyone,” he insisted.

“Have you understood? Forgive everyone,” Francis repeated.

Statistics from Italy’s Department of Penitentiary Administration reveal that a very high percentage of inmates in Italian prisons are Muslims who hail from Morocco (20.3%), Romania (11.6%), Albania (10.5%) and Tunisia (10.1%).

The prison in Verona has 580 inmates, of which 42 are women, and 313 are foreigners (54.0%), who are mostly Muslim.

Italy’s Ministry of Justice has expressed concern regarding the growing phenomenon of Islamic radicalization of inmates in Italian prisons, including forceful Muslim proselytism and training for terrorism.

Dr. Jules Gomes, (BA, BD, MTh, PhD), has a doctorate in biblical studies from the University of Cambridge. Currently a Vatican-accredited journalist based in Rome, he is the author of five books and several academic articles. Gomes lectured at Catholic and Protestant seminaries and universities and was canon theologian and artistic director at Liverpool Cathedral. Ex-Vatican Official: Francis Ignored McCarrick Abuse Allegations, Calls for Resignation

By Daniel Uria

(UPI) -- A former Vatican official said Sunday that Pope Francis was aware of former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick' sexual abuses as early as 2013.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a former papal ambassador to the United States under Pope Benedict XVI, released a letter, published in Italian by The National Catholic Register and in English by LifeSiteNews, stating Francis ignored McCarrick's record of sexual abuse and failed to punish him.

In the letter, Viganò also called on Francis to resign for the good of the church.

"In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example for cardinals and bishops who covered up McCarrick's abuses and resign along with all of them," Viganò wrote.

McCarrick, 88, resigned last month after he was barred from publicly practicing ministry amid allegations he abused a teenage altar boy in the early 1970s while he served as a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, which an Archdiocesan Review Board later determined were "credible and substantiated."

Viganò wrote that two other church officials had reports in 2000 and 2006 respectively detailing McCarrick's sexual abuse including that he "shared his bed with seminarians" whom he would invite five at a time to his beach house on the weekends. Viganò added he recommended McCarrick be disciplined in 2006, but was ignored.

He said Benedict eventually "imposed on Cardinal McCarrick sanctions similar to those now imposed on him by Pope Francis" in 2009 or 2010, expelling him from the seminary where he lived, and forbidding him from participating in public Masses, meetings and other religious activities.

Viganò went on to describe a meeting with Francis in 2013 in which the Pope asked "What is Cardinal McCarrick like?" Viganò said he told the Pope of McCarrick record of sexual abuse "with complete frankness," but Francis "did not make the slightest comment" about the allegations, "as if he had already known the matter for some time."

The release of Viganò's letter came as Francis celebrated a Mass at Dublin's Phoenix Park at the end of his two-day trip to Ireland.

At the Mass on Sunday, Francis asked for forgiveness for abuses of power and sexual abuse in Ireland by church leaders.

"In a special way we apologize for all the abuses committed by institutions run by male and female religious and other members of the church. And we ask for forgiveness for the crimes so many minors were subjected to," he said.

He added that "some members of the hierarchy didn't own up to these painful situations and kept silence."

Francis also sought forgiveness for the church's history of separating unmarried mothers from their children and called for them to reunite.

"For all those times when it was said to many single mothers who tried to look for their children who had been estranged from them, or to the children who were looking for their mothers, that it was a mortal sin," he said. ""This is not a mortal sin. It is the Fourth Commandment! We ask for forgiveness."

Earlier Sunday the pope prayed at a shrine in the village of Knock where he prayed the Virgin Mary to heal those who were abused within the church.

For all the good that does! The Bible tells us to pray to God the Father through Jesus Christ the Son. Nowhere in the Bible does it suggest we pray to Mary. Mary was blessed above all women for bearing God's Son, but Jesus Himself never venerated Mary, nor did any of the disciples. Why Catholics have decided she is virtual Deity is just one of the ways the Catholic church is severely off-track, the consequences of which seem to always fall upon children.

"None of us can fail to be moved by the stories of young people who suffered abuse, were robbed of their innocence, who were taken from their mothers, and left scarred by painful memories," he said. "This open wound challenges us to be firm and decisive in the pursuit of truth and justice. I beg the Lord's forgiveness for these sins and for the scandal and betrayal felt by so many others in God's family."

Is There a Cost to Being a Friend of Jesus?

If you have ever read Deitrich Bonhoeffer, you will know that there is a cost to discipleship. Or if you read Jesus' instruction to Ananais to go and tell Saul what great things he must suffer for His name sake, you will know there is a cost to discipleship. How else could one be a real disciple without identifying with the suffering of Christ, or without the opportunity to glorify Christ through the manifestation of His character in very hostile surroundings?

But what if you are not a determined disciple, just a friend of Jesus? Would you expect to be treated the same way? Probably not, but you might expect to be treated somewhat similarly; take Mary, Martha and Lazarus, siblings from Bethany, for example.

They did not follow Jesus around Judea but they were good friends, in fact, the Bible says Jesus loved them, which would indicate a special bond beyond the ordinary love that He has for us all. Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

Yet, despite this love, Jesus did not respond to Mary and Martha's call for help. Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”

What do you suppose was going through Mary and Martha's minds as Jesus ignored their request? They knew Jesus was special, that He had an amazing relationship with God, that God would give Him anything He asked. But He didn't ask; He didn't even bother to come until Lazarus had been dead for days. What were they thinking?

What was Jesus thinking? Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.

Obviously, Jesus had a plan. It wasn't obvious to any of His disciples, nor was it obvious to Mary and Martha. They loved Jesus, and couldn't understand why he was so late coming to them. Nevertheless, they were kind in their words though one suspects a little bit of latent hostility when first Martha then Mary greeted Him with, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."

Then we see the reason why Jesus delayed His coming until it seemed too late:

Jesus said to her (Martha), “Your brother will rise again.”

Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Martha's eyes had been opened to a more complete revelation of Who Jesus really is. But Mary arrives and repeats Martha's accusation:

Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. And He said, “Where have you laid him?

They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”

Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”

And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”

Jesus wept, not for Lazarus, but for the suffering of Mary and the others who still did not get Who Jesus really is.

Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”

Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.

Mary and Martha and the others with them received the great blessing of an extraordinary revelation of Who Jesus is. They endured several days of intense grief and suffering before it came, but they would never doubt Jesus again.

I had a similar experience where I asked God to prove Himself to me. He did! It was nothing short of terrifying how He did it, but I have not in 30 years doubted Him since, nor will I in the next 30 years.

Do you have doubts about Jesus? Are you willing to allow God to prove Himself to you. He won't if you put limits on how He must do it - that means you don't trust Him. He won't prove Himself to you if you don't trust Him - that is not faith!

When I asked God to prove Himself, I asked Him to protect my family; He did. He even protected me though the odds on my surviving that experience were very poor. I walked away without a scratch.

The Video Every Christian and Muslim Must See

Muslim searches Quran for answers
and what he finds astonishes him

Less than 6 minutes - could change your life.

Just to lay out some of the points he found in his careful exegesis of the Quran:

Mohammed is mentioned 4 times in Quran - Jesus is mentioned 25 times.

Then only woman talked about in the Quran is Miriam (Mary) the mother of Jesus.

Mary is honoured with an entire chapter in the Quran.

The Quran says, incorrectly, that she was born without sin, was a virgin and remained so all her life.

Names found in the Quran for Jesus are: Jesus Christ, Word of God, Spirit of God.

Jesus is credited with speaking at two days old and making a bird out of clay and giving it life. (These fanciful stories are found only in the Quran).

Jesus is credited with many healing miracles, even giving life to the dead.

Jesus is alive and living in Heaven, and He will return to earth one day as judge.

Mohammed was not born of a virgin, his mother is not named, he did not speak at two days, did not make a bird out of clay, did no miraculous healings, did not raise the dead, is dead himself, and will not return.

The Quran also says, If you still have questions, go and read the Bible.

So the question is: why do Muslims reverence the dead Mohammed and not Jesus who is alive and obviously far superior?
