Islam in Canada > Quebec law to challenge Muslim's aggressive, arrogant, public prayer practices

Praying on the streets, in front of churches or synagogues, etc., is a message of arrogance by Muslims. It means - they can do what they want, and Canadian laws have no power over them. If this Quebec law passes, that theory will be tested, and Canada's far-left media will be in a complete quandary.

Canada: Quebec to table legislation banning prayer in public

What is most important is what Quebec Premier François Legault said months ago, that “seeing people praying in the streets, in public parks, is not something we want in Quebec.” Legault also said that he wanted to send a “very clear message to Islamists.”

No other religion makes a public scene praying on the streets and ties up traffic and free movement, causing major disruptions that are far from peaceful.

Take a look at what happened in Ontario:

And last month in Montreal:

Muslim groups are defending their position on the grounds of religious rights and freedoms, as well as the freedom of peaceful assembly. Pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, intimidating and disruptive  protests have also been defended on the grounds that they were “peaceful protests,” but they are anything but.

The Quebec government intends to invoke Canada’s notwithstanding clause to ban public prayer if necessary. Canada’s notwithstanding clause refers to Section 33 of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Its provision allows both the federal parliament or a provincial legislature to pass a law that temporarily overrides certain sections of the Charter.

Quebec plans to table bill banning prayer in public

by Matthew Lapierre, CBC News, August 28, 2025:

The Quebec government intends to present a bill banning prayer in public.

Secularism Minister Jean-François Roberge said in a statement Thursday that the “proliferation of street prayer is a serious and sensitive issue.”

“The premier of Quebec has given me the mandate to strengthen secularism, and I am determined to fulfil this mandate diligently,” he said.

“This fall, we will therefore introduce a bill to strengthen secularism in Quebec, in particular by banning street prayers.”

His statement follows months of efforts by the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) government to reinforce secularism in the province, which includes adopting a law that requires immigrants to embrace the common culture of the province and tabling a bill to expand the province’s religious symbols law to include school support staff.

The statement from Roberge on Thursday provided no details as to how the government would legislate against prayer in public, but Premier François Legault has said his government would not rule out using the notwithstanding clause….

Please Pray for Jordan Peterson

Grok: Is Jordan Peterson sick?

Yes, Jordan Peterson is currently dealing with health issues. According to his daughter, Mikhaila Peterson, he has been diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), a condition linked to a genetic predisposition that affects the immune system's ability to detoxify mold and bacteria from indoor air. This condition has been causing him significant health problems since 2017, with symptoms worsening recently after exposure to a moldy environment while cleaning out his late grandfather’s house.

As a result, he is taking a break from public engagements, including his podcast and European tour, to focus on recovery. Mikhaila has stated that he is responding well to treatment, though the process is challenging.

Please pray for Jordan to recover quickly. Aside from being one of the most brilliant people in the world, Jordan is the Flagship in the Fleet of Common Sense, and the epinephrine for wokism disease. We need him alive and well. Have mercy, Lord.

Hamas War > Hamas has completely lost track of most of the Israeli hostages in Gaza; But they are still negotiating their release - Quelle Folie

And yet, they are negotiating the release of those hostages. What madness!

Please pray for those hostages every day until they are returned to their families!

‘Due to the Zionist aggression,’ most Israeli hostages in north Gaza missing, Hamas says

by Sam Halpern, Jerusalem Post, January 10, 2025:

Hamas has lost track of the majority of the hostages held in captivity in northern Gaza due to Israel’s military activities in the area, a source in the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, told Qatari state-run media giant Al Jazeera on Friday.

“Most of the enemy’s prisoners in the northern Gaza Brigade are now missing due to the Zionist aggression,” the source told Al Jazeera.

Hamas has previously repeatedly stated that in order to compile a list of hostages it has been holding, it would need several days to at least a week, in order to locate them….

Of course, they have had 15 months and haven't bothered. So much for their intention of negotiating their release. Are the 33 hostages to be released virtually all who are known to Hamas, or all who are known to be alive?

Hamas to release 33 hostages in breakthrough deal with Israel, report claims

Negotiations between Israeli officials and Hamas have reportedly reached a breakthrough, paving the way for a massive prisoner exchange and a fragile ceasefire that will lead to the release of 33 hostages.

According to emerging reports, Hamas has agreed to release them with Israel set to withdraw troops from parts of Gaza, facilitate humanitarian aid, and free thousands of Palestinian prisoners in return.

The monumental deal has some very specific numbers associated with it and will see  Israel release 50 prisoners for every Israeli female soldier held by Hamas. Israel will also release 30 children and women held in custody for every hostage Hamas releases.

The first phase also involves the release of around of 200 individuals sentenced to life imprisonment, alongside 1,000 additional detainees — including all women, children, and sick prisoners currently held in Israeli custody.

The deal, reportedly brokered with the assistance of QatarEgypt, and Turkey, represents a significant concession by both parties.

While Israel has insisted on the inclusion of more hostages, including wounded soldiers, Hamas has leveraged the situation to secure the release of prisoners considered high-value by Israeli authorities.

For detainees sentenced to life imprisonment, the stakes are even higher, with reports suggesting many could face deportation to Qatar, Egypt, or Turkey to mitigate potential security risks.

Oct 7th Survivor Story > "God Save Me", and He did

‘God, save me’ – Former hostage recalls Hamas abduction

“We hid under the bed, but then I heard ‘Allahu Akbar,’” said Sapir Cohen, recounting the terrifying kidnapping by Hamas terrorists.

By World Israel News Staff

A former hostage who was kidnapped by the Hamas terror group and held captive in the Gaza Strip spoke about her terrifying ordeal in a recent interview.

On the weekend of October 7, 2023, Sapir Cohen and her boyfriend Alexander (Sasha) Trufanov were visiting his parents in Kibbutz Nahal Oz.

Prior to the visit, Trufanov had expressed reservations about traveling to the kibbutz, but Cohen convinced him to go anyway, she told the TBN Israel YouTube channel.

The pair, who were staying in a separate kibbutz house near the Trufanov family home, were awakened on October 7 by nonstop air raid sirens.

Then, Cohen said, Trufanov received a WhatsApp message from his mother that terrorists had infiltrated the kibbutz.

“We hid under the bed, but then I heard ‘Allahu Akbar,’ I heard hundreds of terrorists storming houses. I heard things explode, the screams of the terrorists, the screams of the people killed by them, and I heard them come closer and closer to us. They were shooting everywhere, at everyone,” Cohen said.

She prayed for God to save her, she said. Then, terrorists burst into the room, separating her from Trufanov. They were both abducted to Gaza.

Cohen recounted crowds of civilians who jeered and attempted to beat her as she was taken into the Strip on a motorcycle.

Once in Gaza, Cohen was held alongside other captives who had been kidnapped during the massacres.

“I remember that I saw the other hostages, that one of them just lay down, and he closed his eyes. He didn’t want to be a part of this reality,” Cohen told TBN. “I saw a young girl that was shaking, and I saw people that all their families were in the kibbutz on that day and they didn’t know what happened to their children, to their parents.”

Cohen said that once again she prayed for God to save her, so that she could help support other hostages.

After 55 days in captivity, Cohen was freed during a ceasefire.

Troufanov is still held in the Strip. His mother, Yelena, and grandmother, Irina, who were also kidnapped, were released in the same deal as Cohen.

His father, Vitali, was murdered on October 7.
