Osama bin Laden's Son and Heir Hamza bin Laden is Dead – Report

©  FBI

US officials claim Washington has intelligence that the son and possible successor of Osama bin Laden has been killed, NBC reports. As of yet, the officials have provided few additional details.

Three US officials who requested anonymity told NBC that Hamza bin Laden – son of terror leader and founder of al-Qeada Osama bin Laden – has been killed. The circumstances of his death, or whether there was American involvement, are not clear.

Hamza bin Laden gave his last known public statement to the al-Qaeda group’s media arm in 2018, threatening Saudi Arabia with attack and calling for the overthrow of the Saudi monarchy, but has not been heard from since.

According to former FBI agent and counter terrorism expert Ali Soufan, Hamza was “being prepared for a leadership role in the organization his father founded,” and would likely be looked on favorably by the “jihadi rank-and-file” were he to take on that role.

Born around 1989 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Hamza has been wanted for some time by the FBI for ties to terror groups. He was thought to travel frequently between Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Iran, according to the FBI. Hamza was also reportedly married to the daughter of a senior al-Qaeda leader, Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, who operates under the alias Abu Muhammad al Masri. Abdullah is wanted for his role in embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

The FBI had offered a reward of up to $1 million for information that would lead to Hamza’s whereabouts.

I'm guessing the body of Hamza would be sufficient information to collect the reward?

Hamza’s father, Osama bin Laden, helped to found al-Qaeda, the Islamist militant group notorious for the 2001 September 11 attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people. Osama was killed in a US Navy SEAL raid in 2011 while in hiding in Pakistan.

Osama bin Laden's Son Avenging His Death in Afghanistan, Family Says

Islamic insanity and hypocrisy on display as Hamza bin Laden decides
to avenge his father's death rather than atoning for his life.

UPI -- Relatives of former world public enemy No. 1 Osama bin Laden have told a British newspaper the dead leader's youngest son is involved in terrorism in Afghanistan.

Members of the bin Laden family, interviewed by The Guardian in a story published Thursday, said Hamza bin Laden is somewhere in Afghanistan -- and they believe he's fighting U.S. and coalition forces there to avenge his father.

"The people at university changed him," mother Alia Ghanem said of her son being an economics student at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. "He became a different man. He was a very good child until he met some people who pretty much brainwashed him in his early 20s. You can call it a cult. They got money for their cause.

"I would always tell him to stay away from them, and he would never admit to me what he was doing, because he loved me so much."

After notoriously eluding U.S. forces for nearly a decade after the Sept. 11 attacks, bin Laden was killed by Navy SEALs in a raid on his Pakistan hideout seven years ago. Hamza bin Laden, 29, has been designated a terrorist by the United States government.

The family believes he is Osama bin Laden's youngest son, and said they are surprised by his apparent endorsement of terrorism.

"We thought everyone was over this. Then the next thing I knew, Hamza was saying, 'I am going to avenge my father,'" uncle Hassan bin Laden said. "I don't want to go through that again.

"If Hamza was in front of me now, I would tell him: 'God guide you. Think twice about what you are doing. Don't retake the steps of your father. You are entering horrible parts of your soul.'"

Hamza bin Laden first appeared involved with terrorism in 2005 and he was implicated in the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto two years later. In an audio message in 2015, he called on militants to wage jihad against the United States, Britain, France and Israel.

The bin Laden family resides in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and remains prominent in society there. Saudi officials believe their speaking out will cast Osama bin Laden as a rogue operator -- rather than a Saudi agent -- behind the 2001 attacks.

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and some have suggested they received government support.

Osama Bin Laden’s Son ‘Bent on Avenging Father’s Death’ – ex-FBI Agent

This was to be expected, that Bin Laden's son would be as insane as his father. All Jihadists are insane! Hamza is bent of revenge for the killing of his dad, yet according to the Quran, Osama is in Paradise surrounded by 72 lovely virgins, or, at least they were virgins when he got there. Maybe they are perpetual virgins.
Or maybe they are inflatable dolls!

Osama Bin Laden’s son is set to become the new leader of Al-Qaeda and wants to exact revenge for his father’s death, according to an ex-FBI agent, who led the investigation into the terrorist group following the 9/11 attacks.

In an interview to be aired on CBS on Sunday, former agent Ali Soufan claims that letters seized in the raid in which Bin Laden was killed in 2011 indicate that his son will follow in his footsteps.

Hamza Bin Laden allegedly wrote: “I consider myself to be forged in steel. The path of jihad for the sake of God is what we live,” according to Soufan.

The final tranche of declassified material captured during the Bin Laden raid was declassified earlier this year.

The former FBI agent said the letters suggest Hamza adored his father and wants to continue his legacy by seeking revenge against the US.

“He’s basically saying, ‘American people, we’re coming and you’re going to feel it. And we’re going to take revenge for what you did to my father… Iraq… Afghanistan’… the whole thing was about vengeance,” Soufan tells CBS’ 60 minutes.

“He was a poster kid for the Al-Qaeda… and for members of Al-Qaeda, who were indoctrinated with these propaganda videos, he means a lot to them,” the ex-agent said.

The Obama administration imposed sanctions on 28-year-old Hamza Bin Laden in January, stating he is “actively engaged in terrorism” and poses a risk to national security.

He was designated as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist” – the same classification the US gave to his father.

Hamza Bin Laden has made terrorist threats in audio messages on a number of occasions, according to the State Department. They include a July 2016 message warning Americans they would be targeted at home and abroad.

Six years after the Al-Qaeda founder was killed by US special forces in Pakistan, Al Qaeda is as active as ever, Soudan says: “Al Qaeda is stronger than ever. I don’t believe even bin Laden in his wildest dreams thought that he will have followers who command armies, troops… lands.”
