“SON OF HAMAS” EXPOSES WHAT HAMAS WANTS
AND HOW TO DESTROY THEM
There is a common fallacy that is often mentioned concerning fighting Arab terror groups. It goes as follows: Radical Islam is an idea. Ideas cannot be destroyed. Therefore, we must learn to live with fighting the idea. But there is no military solution to the problem. This is wrong on multiple levels. A simple analysis of history shows clearly that the only solution against terror groups is indeed a military solution. It is the only language that is understood by these groups.
Dangerous ideas without weapons to implement the dangerous ideas are nothing more than dangerous ideas. But when the people possessing the dangerous ideas get their hands on explosives, machine guns, and even nuclear weapons, then it becomes a major headache for all in their line of fire.
Saddam Hussein only became dangerous to the whole world when he started his nuclear weapons program. Before that, he was mortally dangerous to his neighbors, Iran, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Menachem Begin understood this well and ordered the strike on the Tamuz-17 nuclear reactor. That bold action may have saved the lives of millions by averting a nuclear Holocaust. It also put all other countries in the Middle East on notice that Israel would not allow itself to be blackmailed into submission via a buildup of nuclear weapons.
The ideas of Hamas may never be eradicated. But the muscle behind implementing the ideas of Hamas can be removed. That will destroy a lot of the motivation that drives much of the ideology. Nobody wants to be on the side of a serial loser. Israel needs to reinforce this idea with repeated victories.
Hamas needs to perceive their battles against Israel as leading to nothing but devastating losses, one after another. That will only occur if they see that they have lost land, weapons, and control that they used to have before their deadly massacre on October 7th.
