War on Christianity > Muslims pray in front of Cathedral, Cathedral responds by ringing its bells; Bomb threat at Miami church

CANADA: Foreign Islamists were constantly gathering to ‘pray’ in front of churches in Montreal. Now, the Quebec government plans to ban radical Muslims from praying in public places. Do you agree?

Miami: Man enters Greek Orthodox church, screams ‘Allahu akbar,’ says he has a bomb

Hard to tell what was going on here. Isaac Lopez may be a convert to Islam and a jihadi. Or he may be a leftist who admires jihadis and hates Christianity. Or he may be genuinely mentally ill. One thing is certain: authorities aren’t going to elucidate his motives.

Man arrested after bomb threat at Miami

Greek Orthodox church

Orthodox Christianity, October 2, 2025:

A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday following a bomb scare at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Kendall on Sunday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred during Sunday Liturgy. Isaac Lopez, a Cuban national, was reportedly acting suspiciously while carrying a backpack, prompting a church member to alert an usher, reports the Miami Herald.

When confronted about his backpack, Lopez allegedly told the usher, “It’s a bomb,” before handing over the bag. The usher secured the backpack in a nearby room.

Minutes later, a loud, high-pitched alarm resembling a ticking countdown sounded throughout the church, disrupting the service. Deputies said Lopez ran to the room where the backpack had been placed, put his phone—which was making the ticking noise—inside the bag, and returned to the service.

As the service ended, Lopez reportedly yelled the Islamic terrorist phrase, “Allahu Akbar”—Arabic for “God is great,” causing fear among congregants, according to authorities….

War on Christianity - Torches Another Ancient Cathedral in France

Nantes: Arson suspected in fire at
Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral

The blaze destroyed stained glass windows and the grand organ

A fire at the cathedral in the French city of Nantes is believed to have been started deliberately, prosecutors say.

Three fires were started at the site and an investigation into suspected arson is underway, Prosecutor Pierre Sennes said.

The blaze destroyed stained glass windows and the grand organ at the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul cathedral, which dates from the 15th Century.

It comes a year after the devastating fire at Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris.

But the local fire chief said the fire in Nantes had been contained and was "not a Notre-Dame scenario".

"The damage is concentrated on the organ, which appears to be completely destroyed. The platform it is situated on is very unstable and risks collapsing," Laurent Ferlay told reporters.

The cathedral roof had not been touched by the blaze, he said.

President Emmanuel Macron has reacted, tweeting: "After Notre-Dame, the St Peter and St. Paul Cathedral is in flames. Support to the firefighters who are taking all the risks to save the Gothic jewel."

The fire began in the early morning, with massive flames visible from outside the building. More than 100 firefighters brought it under control after several hours.

Mr Sennes said the national police would be involved in the investigation and a fire expert was travelling to Nantes

"When we arrive at a place where a fire has taken place, when you see three separate fire outbreaks, it's a question of common sense, you open an investigation," he said.

Newsagent Jean-Yves Burban said he heard a bang at about 07:30 local time (05:30 GMT) and saw flames when he went out to see what was happening.

"I am shook up because I've been here eight years and I see the cathedral every morning and evening. It's our cathedral and I've got tears in my eyes," he told Reuters.

This is not the first fire at the cathedral. It was damaged by Allied bombing in 1944, during World War Two, and then in 1972 its roof was largely destroyed.

It was rebuilt 13 years later with a concrete structure replacing the wooden roof.

In 2015 a huge fire destroyed part of the 19th Century basilica of Saint-Donatien in Nantes.

It could have been anybody who set that fire - a lunatic, a few screwed-up kids. My guess is either anarchists or Islam. Will we ever find out?

Turkish President Erdogan Signs Decree Turning Istanbul's
Hagia Sofia into a Mosque After Court Ruling

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed a decree opening the world-famous Hagia Sophia as a mosque, after a court ruled that its conversion to a museum in the 1930s was unlawful.

The court ruled on Friday that the 1934 decree converting the ancient Byzantine cathedral into a museum was not lawful. Immediately after the ruling, Erdogan shared a copy of a decree on Twitter, mandating that the site be turned over to the country's religious directorate and reopened for worship.

In a televised address later in the evening, the Turkish leader said that the first prayers will be held in the Hagia Sophia on July 24.

Dating back to the 6th century, the Hagia Sophia is one of the most visited cultural sites in Turkey, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

UNESCO has expressed concern over Erdogan’s vision for the historic structure, noting in a statement on Friday that the building has a “strong symbolic and universal value.” It called on Turkey to "engage in dialogue" before taking any steps that might impact its universal value.

Even before his decree was issued, the Turkish president’s plan was condemned by leaders of the Russian and Greek Orthodox churches, who warned that it would be seen as an affront to Christians and create a fracture between East and West. Washington has also urged Turkey to maintain the Hagia Sophia as a museum.

Moscow has also highlighted the cultural significance of the building while acknowledging that the matter was an "internal affair" for Turkey.

Erdogan himself said that opening the Hagia Sophia for worship will not prevent local or foreign tourists from visiting the iconic site, which he said is a part of “humanity’s common cultural heritage.”

"Like all of our other mosques, the doors of Hagia Sophia will be open to all, locals or foreigners, Muslims and non-Muslims,” he added.

I think this will not end well for the ambitious Erdogan.

27 Christian Worshipers Murdered by Muslim Terrorists in Twin Bomb Blast at Philippines Cathedral

The War on Christianity continues with massacre in the Philippines

This is just the latest example of what happens when Muslims become a majority in an area. There is no tolerance for Christianity, or any other religion, and there are no qualms about massacring non-Muslims - it's taught in the Quran.

Muslim terrorists detonated two huge bombs at a Roman Catholic cathedral in the Mindanao region of the southern Philippines, murdering at least 27 people and wounding nearly 80 during a Sunday Mass.

The first explosion went off inside the cathedral in Jolo, on the island province of Sulu, and was followed by a second blast in the car park outside, killing security forces and Christian worshipers.

“We will use the full force of the law to bring to justice the perpetrators behind this incident,” Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said in a statement.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, though Jolo is a stronghold of the Abu Sayyaf terror group, which has a reputation for bombings and brutality, and for having pledged allegiance to ISIS.

It followed Friday’s announcement that the region, a mainly Muslim part of the predominantly Christian Philippines, had approved a plan to govern itself by 2022, boosting hopes for peace in one of Asia’s poorest and most conflict-torn regions.

Monday’s referendum saw 85 percent of voters back the creation of an autonomous area called Bangsamoro. Although Sulu was among only a few areas that rejected autonomy, it will still be part of the new entity.
