Ozzone 7-27 > Intellectual darkness is the result of ignorance, but spiritual darkness is the result of something that I do not intend to obey.

 

Ozzone 7-25 > The Sermon on the Mount is not a set of rules and regulations— it is a picture of the life we will live when the Holy Spirit is having His unhindered way with us

Unlike the Law of Moses, Jesus doesn't set the Sermon on the Mount as rules to be accomplished, but rather as promises that can be accomplished when we receive Him as Saviour and as Lord of every part of our lives.

Ozzone 7-20 > We will not fear when we understand the reality of God’s Presence

 

Ozzone 7-19 > The Lord never insists on obedience, but when we truly see Him, we will instantly obey Him. Then He is easily Lord of our life.

 

Ozzone 7-18 > Jesus will never insist that I obey, but “Woe is me” if I see the Light and refuse it.

Of the 365 devotions in My Utmost for His Highest, this has to be my favourite.

Ozzone 7-15 > Is your life an example of being broken bread and poured-out wine? If not, you may need to consider what you owe to Jesus Christ.

 

Ozzone 7-14 > When you are insulted, you must not only not resent it, but you must make it an opportunity to exhibit the Son of God in your life

 

We glorify God by manifesting His character, especially in the most difficult situations.

Ozzone 7-13 > Have you yet seen the Lord? Are you even willing to?

 

Ozzone 7-12 > I will suffer great humiliation once I come to acknowledge and understand that I have not really been concerned about realizing Jesus Christ Himself, but only concerned with knowing what He has done for me.

 

Ozzone 7-11 > The aim of the spiritually vigorous saint is the realization of Jesus Christ in every circumstance

 

Ozzone 7-10 > Do we seek only peace and joy from the Lord? These are simply effects, not causes we should seek after. We miss the point!

 

Ozzone 7-8 > You have no business trying to find out where God is leading— the only thing God will explain to you is Himself.

 

Ozzone 7-7 > God’s Salvation is a heroic, holy thing that tests us for all we are worth

 

Ozzone 7-6 > When God gives us a vision, He will shape us in order to attain that vision, if we let Him.

 

Ozzone 7-5 > The only thing that will keep us from even the possibility of worrying is to bring God in as the greatest factor in all of our planning.
