Islamic Insanity > Terrorist who shot up Oslo gay bar gets 30 years

Should Muslims be allowed into any European country as residents without swearing allegiance to the country and its laws? Shouldn't they be forced to place the laws of the state above Islamic Laws in order to qualify to stay and receive any benefits, even to the point of renouncing Islamic Laws when there is conflict with state laws? Is that just absurd, or what?

AP says ‘Iranian-born Norwegian man’

found guilty in 2022 Oslo gay bar murders

One wonders how Norwegian Zaniar Matapour really considered himself to be, in light of the fact that he “had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State group and ‘has been radicalized for several years.'” In classic Islamic theology, loyalty to the umma transcends nationality and all other allegiances. But as far as AP and other leftist propaganda outlets are concerned, anything in a garage is an automobile.

Iranian-born Norwegian man found guilty in 2022 Oslo

LGBT+ festival attack, sentenced to 30 years

by Jan M. Olsen, Associated Press, July 4, 2024:

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — An Iranian-born Norwegian man was found guilty of terrorism on Thursday in a 2022 attack on an LGBTQ+ festival in Oslo and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Two people were killed and nine were seriously wounded in the shooting at three locations, chiefly outside the London Pub, a popular gay bar, on June 25, 2022.

The Oslo District Court said Zaniar shot 10 rounds with a machine gun and eight shots with a handgun into the crowdIt said Matapour had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State group and “has been radicalized for several years.”…

Six days before the attack, Norway’s external intelligence agency, E-Tjenesten, learned from an undercover agent that a possible action was expected in a Nordic country and the information was passed to the domestic security service….

During the trial, both the prosecution and the defense agreed that Matapour fired into the crowd and there was no disagreement that the shooting was terror motivated. However, Dietrichson had sought acquittal, saying his client had been provoked to carry out the attack by an E-Tjenesten agent who was pretending to be a high-ranking member of the Islamic State group.

The court said that “it is clear that the actions of the E-Tjenesten did not involve any illegal provocation” and “did not provoke an act of terrorism that would not otherwise have been committed.”…

Suspect Detained After ‘Bomb-Like Device’ Discovered, Central Oslo Evacuated

Europe's The New Normal

Norwegian police have sealed off a large area of the Gronland neighborhood in downtown Oslo after a suspected explosive device was discovered late Saturday. Police said that one person has been detained in connection with the incident.

The detained individual is being questioned as a suspect, Oslo police service said on its official Twitter page.

Police have conducted a controlled detonation of the suspicious object, police spokesman Svein Arild Jørundland told VG, adding that at the moment it is unknown whether the device actually contained any explosive elements.

However, he noted that the blast appeared to be more powerful than expected in case of an ordinary detonation, adding that bomb disposal experts have been examining the aftermath of the explosion.

Eyewitnesses report that a large number of police cars and ambulances have been called to the area.

Police earlier said on Twitter that they believe the device “does not have a huge potential for injuries.”

The suspicious-looking item was found near a bridge on Grønlandsleiret, one of the Norwegian capital’s main streets, Jørundland told VG, adding that a bomb squad has been dispatched to the scene.
