Appeals court reverses NYC subway bomb jihadi’s conviction: ISIS inspired him, but he acted ‘independently’
See, he didn’t have an actual Islamic State (ISIS) membership card, so his conviction was overturned. This is because authorities refuse to admit the possibility that an individual Muslim might independently decide to turn to jihad, without being a member of a designated terrorist organization. If authorities admitted this, they’d have to admit that there might be something within Islam that incites violence. And they’ll never come close to admitting that.
Court overturns subway bomber’s conviction for giving ISIS ‘material support,’ raising questions about terrorism prosecutions

(CNN) — A federal appeals court reversed a terrorism-related conviction for the 2017 New York City subway bomber in a decision that could have wide-reaching effects for the prosecutions of accused terrorists.
Akayed Ullah detonated a pipe bomb inside a busy Manhattan transit station in 2017, causing panic among commuters and injuring nearby civilians. Ullah later told investigators he carried out the attack in support of the terrorist group ISIS.
After a weeklong trial, Ullah was convicted of six charges, including one count of providing material support or resources to a terrorist organization. This week, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals overturned his conviction on that charge, finding although Ullah was inspired by ISIS propaganda online, he acted “entirely independently” of the terrorist organization.
As a result, the evidence to convict Ullah of providing material support under the relevant statute was insufficient, the court found – though the panel upheld his convictions on the other charges, including committing a terrorist attack against mass transportation systems.
While the ruling will not affect Ullah’s sentence of life in prison, experts say it could affect previous convictions and how prosecutors approach terrorism-related cases going forward….

Italy: 85-year-old soup kitchen volunteer viciously beaten by Nigerian man he fed every day, now calls for remigration
An elderly soup kitchen volunteer, Antonio Turrisi, was viciously beaten to the point that he lost his spleen and has been left unable to walk. Incredibly, the suspect is a homeless Nigerian man who the 85-year-old man fed everyday in the soup kitchen. The injuries, which have proven life destroying, have now left Turrisi calling for remigration.
The attack occurred five months ago on Nov. 14, 2025, in the city of Empoli as Turrisi was headed back home from the Emmaus soup kitchen. However, the victim is far from recovery and can only walk thanks to a walker. Besides having his spleen removed due to the vicious attack, he also has permanent nerve damage to his foot.
Video surveillance shows the man approaching Turrisi and beating him without mercy or warning, with a flurry of punches and kicks. The beating only stopped when a passerby intervened.
The Italian news outlet La Nazione Empoli has since interviewed Turrisi.
“I almost died, they told me that two more kicks would have been enough to send me to the other world,” he told the paper.
When asked if the attacker said anything to him before the beating, Turrisi responded: “Not even a word. He attacked me for no reason. Even now I can’t explain why this could have happened. They told me he was tracked down, arrested and taken to prison.”
While the trauma has blurred his memory of the beating, he says the image of his attacker remains.
“I can’t explain why this could have happened,” said Turrisi….
What fun for a young man who belongs to the “best of peoples” (Qur’an 3:110) to treat an elderly Italian who belongs to the “most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6) in this way.
This vignette, like so many others, offers a glimpse into the Muslim crime wave that has been engulfing all of Europe, where Muslim criminals victimize their non-Muslim hosts. As Milton wrote in Areopagitica, “Methinks I see in my mind a noble and puissant nation rousing herself like a strong man after sleep, and shaking her invincible locks.” Europe can be that “noble and puissant nation” now rousing herself from her deep sleep of unreason, girding her loins, fighting back against the tens of millions of Muslims now in the continent, who really should vacate the premises. If, that is, it has the will to do so.
UK: Teenage boy converts to Islam, obtains weapons, explosives, and suicide vest
When he converted to Islam, his parents and teachers were likely supportive and positive. After all, they’re not “Islamophobes.” They know Islam is a religion of peace that is completely and entirely benign in all of its aspects, and that only very bad people suggest otherwise. And so they would never have dreamed of trying to convince this young man to reconsider his decision to convert to Islam. That would have been narrow-minded and “bigoted.”
And so now this. The boy became a jihad terrorist. Why did he do that? Did he immediately misunderstand his new, peaceful religion? Why didn’t the local imam and his new friends at the mosque prevent that from happening? Why do so many converts to Islam become terrorists, while so few converts to Christianity do so, if any become terrorists at all? These questions cannot be answered or even asked in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain today. To ask them would also be “Islamophobic.”
Update as Oxfordshire boy accused of having suicide vest

An update has been issued after an Oxfordshire boy was accused of having a suicide vest and of supporting Islamic State (IS).
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named, has been charged with stockpiling weapons, explosives and a suicide vest at his family home.
From Didcot, he appeared at the Old Bailey in London today (Friday, April 24) with his trial now scheduled for next January, although that may change.
He is also accused of supporting IS and is suspected of sharing its propaganda on terrorist attacks as well as footage of battlefield explosions and killings….
The boy, who converted to Islam as a teenager, is said to have had swords in his possession as well as homemade explosives.
He faces seven terrorism charges including over the alleged possession of a suicide vest….
According to the charges, it is said he sent a video “containing footage of Islamic State” to another person in November last year and the following month shared a “battlefield video containing footage of Islamic State”….
Iranian group claims responsibility for terrorist attack on Jewish men in London
Two Jewish men were stabbed in London on Wednesday by a knife-wielding terrorist
— and an
Iranian regime-backed group has claimed responsibility for the antisemitic attack.
The two men were seriously injured in the heavily Jewish Golders Green neighborhood in a horrific rampage. Iranian proxy group Islamists Ashab al-Yamin soon took credit for the onslaught.
A chilling video shared on X appears to show the man suddenly attacking an elderly man at a bus stop.
The same man is then seen chasing a younger man wearing Orthodox Jewish clothing.
Cops later took down the obese knifeman to the ground and put in handcuffs by several police officers — with at least two seen kicking him in the head as they tried to wrestle the knife away from him during a scuffle.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The attack was officially declared a “terrorist incident” by the UK’s Counter Terrorism Police.
Ashab al-Yamin claimed the attack was retribution for the passage of an Israeli law that mandates the execution of Palestinians who are convicted of deadly terrorist attacks.
“If the law allowing the execution of prisoners is not stopped, you will be executed in the streets,” the group said in a statement shared on Telegram.
The group, which security experts say is a proxy for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has targeted Jewish sites across Europe, recruiting local criminals for its attacks, according to security experts.
The Metropolitan Police on Wednesday defended the actions of its officers after a Muslim activist, Ammar Kazmi, accused cops of going overboard in incapacitating the suspected terrorist.
“Our brave officers confronted a man they believed to be a terrorist, who refused to show his hands, who was violent, and who continued to pose a clear threat,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement on X in response to Kazmi’s post.
“Using only their training, courage, and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage,” the statement concluded.
The police were helped by Jewish volunteers from the neighborhood watch group Shomrim.
“One male was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public,” a spokesperson for Shomrim said on social media.
“Shomrim responded immediately and detained the suspect. Police attended and deployed a taser. The male has now been arrested,” the spokesperson continued.
The two victims — one in his 70s and one in his 30s — were being treated by Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer ambulance service, the spokesperson said.
They were both listed in stable condition.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the incident “deeply concerning” as he addressed the House of Commons on Wednesday.
“There is now a police investigation, and I think we all need to do everything we can to support that investigation and be absolutely clear in our determination to deal with any of these offenses, the like of which we’ve seen too much recently,” he told MPs.
The attack is the latest apparent antisemitic incident in London.
Last month, four Jewish ambulances were set on fire outside a synagogue in what police called an antisemitic hate crime.
Earlier in April, Kenton United Synagogue in north London was hit by a suspected arson attack, while an area around the Israeli Embassy was cordoned off following a report that it had been targeted with drones carrying “dangerous substances,” according to police.
On Tuesday, a memorial wall in Golders Green commemorating anti-regime protesters in Iran was subject to an arson attack, leading to the Iranian ambassador being summoned by the prime minister.
Such disturbing incidents have increased in the wake of the war in Gaza.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry called on the UK to act “decisively and urgently” to stop the rise of antisemitism.
“After attacks on synagogues, Jewish institutions, community ambulances and now Jews targeted in Golders Green, the UK government can no longer claim this is under control,” the ministry said in a statement on X.
“Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s statements are no substitute for confronting the roots of antisemitism festering across the United Kingdom,” the statement continued.
“British Jews should not need security patrols and emergency volunteers to live openly as Jews. Enough words. The UK must act decisively and urgently.”
