Montreal: Muslim cleric calls on Allah to
‘kill the enemies of the people of Gaza
and to spare none of them’
Imagine the embarrassment of Canadian authorities when they discover that Adil Charkaoui is no “extremist,” but represents a broad mainstream. By then, however, it will very likely be too late.
Politicians, Jewish groups outraged by Montreal imam’s prayer
at pro-Palestinian protest
by Matthew Lapierre, CBC News, November 8, 2023:
A controversial Montreal imam’s speech at a pro-Palestinian demonstration last month has sparked accusations of hate speech and drawn condemnation from politicians and Jewish advocacy groups.
In a speech to protesters on Oct. 28, Adil Charkaoui, speaking Arabic, denounced “Zionist aggressors” and called on Allah to “kill the enemies of the people of Gaza and to spare none of them.”
A video of the speech circulated on social media. It has been the subject of media reports, drawing broad condemnation from Jewish advocacy groups and politicians, including Premier François Legault….
NYC woman who tore down hostage flyers ranted
‘I’ll kill you Jews’ before attack, victim says
by Steven Vago and Isabel Keane, New York Post, November 9, 2023:
The knife-wielding woman accused of ripping down posters of Israeli hostages and pepper-spraying a Jewish safety volunteer in Brooklyn last week seethed “I’ll kill you Jews” before attacking, the victim told The Post.
Melissa Ugur, 20, was allegedly slicing up the flyers Saturday afternoon in Midwood when Shmira Public Safety volunteer Mark Pomerantz confronted her and asked why she was taking the posters down.“Because it’s not true, it never happened,” Ugur replied about the approximately 240 hostages whom Hamas terrorists kidnapped in their surprise attack last month, according to Pomerantz.
The 52-year-old father of three told her he didn’t want any trouble, but explained: “Nobody would hang up posters like that if it wasn’t true.”
Islamic Hysteria:
Ugur then exploded in an antisemitism-fueled rage, Pomerantz told The Post.
“As she was cutting the papers, she said, ‘Oh and you’re a Jew?’” he recounted in a phone interview.
“She said, ‘See how I’m slicing these papers? That’s how I’ll slice up all you Jews and kill you.’”…
“She goes, ‘I’ll kill you Jews’ and ‘Dirty Jews.’ She kept going on and on and stated ‘Allahu Akbar’ and Muhammad,” he said, moments before she unleashed pepper spray in his face….
Ugur’s attorney Caner Demirayak provided a video to The Post from a purported witness who claimed his client only pepper-sprayed Pomerantz in self-defense after he punched her.
“Yes, a poster was removed. Yes, there was a pepper-spraying. There was no knife. There was no threat ‘I’ll cut you.’ There was no ‘I’ll kill the Jews.’ There was no antisemitic comments at all,” Demirayak said….
And, of course, there were no 240 hostages taken from Israel? And if you believe any of that, I have a tropical island off the coast of Labrador for sale.

‘Shocking scenes’: Palestinian protest leads to
Synagogue evacuation
Sky News, November 12, 2023
A Melbourne Synagogue was forced to be evacuated after a pro-Palestine protest was held near its location.
Sky News host Rita Panahi described it as “shocking scenes” after the protest descended into a violent brawl.
“Of all the places they could’ve protested they decided to travel to the most heavily Jewish populated part of Melbourne on the Sabbath outside a Synagogue,” Ms Panahi said….
Jewish mom orders Israel book from Amazon
— receives copy defaced with pro-Palestinian stickers
by Deirdre Bardolf, New York Post, November 11, 2023
A Wisconsin woman who ordered a book about the history of Israel from Amazon was shocked to open it this week and find that it was defaced with stickers that said “Free Palastine.”
Palestinian activist can't even spell Palestine and probably has no idea where it is.
When Madison mom Shira Goldman cracked open “Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth,” she noticed the stickers, which included a fake barcode and the incorrect spelling of Palestine.
“It was very disturbing and I felt violated,” Goldman told The Post.
Goldman, who is Jewish, feared that she was targeted for her faith.
She shared the unsettling discovery with those close to her and then took to Facebook to ask for advice.
Word spread through different Jewish moms groups, including Members of the Tribe Parenting and Mothers Against College Antisemitism — which has exploded to nearly 50,000 members since its Oct. 26 creation.
In addition to speaking out against antisemitism, many members of these online communities share book recommendations to help make sense of the war in the Middle East following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7.
One of those books is often Tishby’s. The Israeli actress and activist’s guide was published in 2021 but landed on the New York Times best-seller list last month.
Within hours of Goldman posting about her experience, a fellow member who works for Amazon was able to get to the bottom of who defaced her book, and the person was subsequently fired….
