June 21 (UPI) -- Israeli West Bank settlers injured more than three dozen Palestinian villagers during overnight attacks in response to the death of four settlers in the area on Tuesday.
The attacks occurred in the northern West Bank from Turmus'ayya east of Ramallah to Deir Sharaf west of Nablus, about 30 miles north of Jerusalem, according to violence monitor Ghassan Douglas.
Douglas said at least 37 Palestinians were injured by live and rubber-coated bullets, stones, and tear gas while 147 vehicles were damaged by fire or stones, including an ambulance. Settlers were also accused of damaging 23 homes, 16 shops and setting fire to crops.
In one incident, Palestinian firefighters prevented a fire at a service station set ablaze from reaching the fuel tanks. Firefighters also battled fires at numerous Palestinian houses and cars in the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya.
In the meantime, the Israeli military made preparations early Wednesday morning for the demolition of the homes of two alleged Palestinian gunmen connected with Hamas who are accused in the deaths of the four Israeli settlers on Tuesday.
Israeli authorities said Muhannad Faleh Shehadeh, 24, and Khaled Mustafa Sabah, 25, opened fire at a gas station near the large Israeli settlement of Eli, killing four people and wounding four others.
The victims were identified as Harel Masood, 21; Elisha Anteman, 17; and Ofer Fayerman, 64; and Shmuel Mordoff, 17.
Tearing down the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out deadly terror attacks is a controversial tactic, supported by hardliners but decried by human rights activists as unjustly punitive.
No, unjustly punitive would be tearing down their homes with their families inside.
The latest eruption of West Bank violence is a continuation from Monday when four Palestinians died and dozens were injured and the Israel Defense Forces said several soldiers were injured during a raid in Jenin.
The IDF said it targeted two "wanted suspects" in Jenin but were met with improvised explosive devices that injured seven soldiers and border police officers. The Israeli military used fire from army helicopters to evacuate soldiers.
Pakistani Muslim infuriates Palestinians by speaking the truth out loud

The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. And it is amazing
when a Muslim will not only believe it but also publicly say it.
Here is the truth: Israel belongs to the Jewish people. And despite the fact that the Bible says it, archaeology proves it, and history records it, people still won’t admit it. For those who hate the Jewish people, they will do everything in their power to try to sever the connection between the Jewish nation and the Jewish homeland.
And then you have people like Noor Dahri. He is a Pakistani-born Muslim. Not only does he know the truth about Israel, but he proudly and loudly declares it. That is not the norm in the Muslim world where sadly so many are denouncing and demonizing the one and only Jewish state.
When people like Dahri are brave enough to take a stand, it highlights the fact that there are good, moral people in the world. Even when it seems like everyone is attacking Israel and the Jews, people like Noor Dahri come to save the day. And he reminds us that the good will ultimately shut out the evil even if it sometimes seems like the evil is louder.
In Judaism, we are commanded to have “Hakarat Hatov” – or recognize the good. We are told to have gratitude towards others. We must recognize the good that Noor Dahri represents, and we must thank Him for defending Israel and the Jewish people.

Nice: a group of middle school students sprinkle themselves with holy water
and one of them shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’ in a church
Translated from “Nice : une bande de collégiens s’asperge d’eau bénite et l’un d’eux crie «Allah Akbar» dans une église,”
by Nicolas Daguin, Le Figaro, June 20, 2023
The facts were reported at the end of the day on Twitter by the first deputy mayor for Security, Anthony Borré, then confirmed in the wake of Le Figaro by several concordant sources. The elected official assures that the City takes the case “very seriously.” He also expects a “firm response” from the president of the Alpes-Maritimes, Charles-Ange Ginesy, competent on colleges. In this sense, a letter is sent directly to him. “Since October 29, 2020 and the Islamist attack on the Notre-Dame Basilica in our city, you are not unaware of how traumatic it can be for our fellow citizens to hear such remarks within a church and the painful memory that the latter can revive,” he wrote to her. And to continue: “Faced with these attempts to destabilize society and with the attacks that our secular Republic is undergoing, we must provide a strong and collective response.”
However, if the individual implicated for the religious cry is indeed a schoolboy educated in an establishment of the department, the facts did not take place in the school setting. “So what? If it is provocation, the department must react, either by getting in touch with parents and by strengthening awareness-raising actions in colleges. And then, if it is the expression of a fact of radicalization, it is also up to President Ginesy to manage the situation through child protection, another departmental competence,” said a close adviser by Anthony Borre. The latter assures that it is in no way a political maneuver to cast opprobrium on the Department, with whom relations are very strained.
What are the odds that nothing will be done to discipline these boys? If they are radicalized, they should be segregated from French society. If they were just acting foolishly, they should be embarrassed in public. Should Christians interrupt Muslim prayers and chant 'Jesus is Lord'?
Toulouse: Syrian schoolboy prosecuted for showing
beheading videos to comrades
Translated from “Toulouse : un collégien syrien poursuivi pour avoir montré des vidéos de décapitation à des camarades,”
by Ronan Tesoriere,
Le Parisien, June 20, 2023
The facts date back to May 30. A young schoolboy, born in 2009 in Syria, obtained a film showing a knife beheading through Instagram messaging. The latter then broadcast it to some classmates from his college in Toulouse, according to our information, confirming revelations from the Dispatch.
He was taken into custody last Friday and referred to the prosecution in stride this weekend. The facts are traced to the investigators through a Toulouse family, whose son is educated in the same establishment as the young suspect. According to La Dépêche du midi, in early June, a mother finds that her son is disturbed. Concerned parents question their child, who is also autistic, to understand what is happening to him.
The schoolboy ends up confiding in his mother that one of his classmates forced him to watch images of beheadings, before threatening to reproduce this horror scene on his family. The parents of this 15-year-old schoolboy then filed a complaint, which led to the arrest of the young suspect who admitted having broadcast these videos but denies any threat against the alleged victim and his family. The referral was requested by the prosecution because of “the coldness of this young man in the face of a particularly shocking video,” according to our information.
This young Syrian, whose family is already followed by the judicial protection of youth, is being prosecuted for “disseminating the recording of images relating to the commission of a willful attack on the integrity of the person,” an offense which can earn him up to 5 years in prison.
The prosecution has summoned him for a guilty hearing to be held on September 11, 2023, if the juvenile judge finds him guilty, it will be followed by a sanction hearing, according to the Code of Criminal Justice for Minors.
In the meantime, the suspect has been released, the children’s judge has however taken a “provisional judicial educational measure,” with, among other things, an integration module and psychological care supervised by the Toulouse PJJ.
I hope this means that he will not be allowed back into school. Nor should he be allowed to have a mobile phone. If he is radicalized, he needs to be separated from French society.
