The twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago lies between the South American coast of Venezuela and the West Indies. Home to roughly 1.5 million inhabitants of African and Indian descent, the tiny Caribbean nation has one of the world’s highest volunteer rates for the Islamic State (IS) group.
Between 2013 and 2016, more than 130 Trinidadians left to join the IS group, making the island country one of the world’s biggest recruiting grounds, per capita, for would-be jihadists.
Since the fall of the self-declared caliphate in 2017, 90 Trinidad and Tobago nationals, including 56 children, have been detained in camps in Syria and are unable to return home.

In one of the bloodiest criminal incidents in Israel in recent years, five people were killed in the Arab town of Yafia, near Nazareth, on Thursday afternoon.
The same day, just hours earlier, a three-year-old girl and 30-year-old man were seriously wounded in a shooting in the Arab town of Kfar Kana in the Galilee. The child is in serious condition and the adult in critical.
“I was shocked by the terrible murder near Nazareth. We are determined to stop this chain of murders,” Prime Minister Benjamin (Netanyahu) said in a statement to media.
“We will do so not only by reinforcing the police but also with the aid of the ISA [Shin Bet – Israel Security Agency]. I am determined to bring in the ISA to assist the Israel Police against these criminals and the crime organizations, and these murders.
“Earlier this week, I held a series of meetings on this issue with security, legal and police officials and I intend to continue next week, and to achieve rapid results,” he said.
The idea to use Israel’s internal security agency with all its intelligence and surveillance methods that are applied to prevent terrorist attacks in order to fight the upsurge in crime in the Arab sector was first raised in 2021 by the Bennett government. Then-Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit ruled against it.
“As for the matter of the Shin Bet’s involvement in handling [Arab crime], it must be made clear that the handling of crime is not within its purpose and role according to the Israel Security Agency Law, even when it concerns the matter of serious crime in the Arab community,” Mandelblit stated at the time.
The government has vowed to solve the issue of rampant crime in Arab-Israeli communities, but so far, it has only been getting worse.
On Wednesday night, a woman in the mixed Arab-Jewish city of Lod narrowly escaped a bullet that flew through her window and landed just inches away from her bed. Police acted only after National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir told a station commander at 2 a.m. that he would come to the city himself if quiet is not restored, after fielding several panicked messages from Jewish residents who had been hearing gunfire near their homes for an hour.
“If the Shin Bet law to deal with Arab crime is not passed immediately, I will call for the toppling of the government,” Lod Mayor Yair Revivo said following that incident.
“Another horrific shooting took place today at a town near Nazareth; five people were murdered. Crime in the Arab sector continues throughout the country, highlighting how lawlessness and the loss of governance have terrible consequences for all Israelis,” NGO Regavim stated after the deadly Yafia shooting.
“What happens in the Negev doesn’t stay in the Negev,” the organization said, referring to the rampant Bedouin crime in the south.
I don't think it is fair to blame the Bedouins for the crime in the north. I think it is fair to blame Palestinians and their attitudes toward Israelis. If they can get away with murdering Jews and even get rewarded for it, why wouldn't they adopt similar attitudes to their own people? There seems to be no fear of God among them.

Wikepedia - In France, a fiche S (English: S card) is an indicator used by law enforcement to flag an individual considered to be a serious threat to national security. The S stands for Sûreté de l'État ("state security"). It is the highest level of such a warning in France; it allows surveillance but is not cause for arrest.
It should be cause for arrest as such people are not only a danger to France but are mentally ill. All radicalized Muslims are mentally ill and need to be segregated from society, or society itself will go insane.
A man was arrested at his home last night rue Meslay, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, following a knife attack rue Saint Martin, has learned Current Values confirming information from Actu17.
The author of the facts, Andy A., a 31-year-old man, of African type and of French nationality, is known for facts of “repeated death threat because of race, ethnicity, nation or religion,” on file S and close to the Islamist movement, indicates a police source to Valeurs Actuelles.
Earlier in the afternoon, at 3 p.m., the man was prowling in front of a hairdressing salon on rue Saint Martin. As he threw passages cut from a Koran on the ground, three men came out of the establishment to subdue him.
The assailant took a knife from his plastic bag, then struck one of them twice, hitting him on the inside of the right thigh and in the back, before fleeing.
The victim, a 50-year-old Pakistani man, was taken care of by SAMU and then transported to Georges Pompidou hospital. His vital prognosis is no longer engaged.
That means, I believe, that his life is no longer in danger.
The identification of the author by a neighboring shopkeeper led to the establishment of a major police force mobilizing the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC), the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) and the Operational Support Group (GSO) within the perimeter of his residence.
The attacker was arrested by the Paris Security and Intervention Company (CSI 75) at 8:45 p.m., shortly after returning home. After the psychiatric expertise conducted by the doctor of the Medico-Legal Units (UMJ), Andy A. was taken to the hospital center of Sainte-Anne.

Man with ‘jihad’ journal accused of stealing school bus not competent to stand trial

A Saudi national accused of stealing a school bus in New Jersey and driving it to Pennsylvania before getting caught in the Poconos is not mentally competent to stand trial, a U.S. federal judge has ruled.
Bader Alzahrani, 22, is facing charges from incidents in January, including receipt of a stolen vehicle transportation of a stolen vehicle in federal court, and motor vehicle theft, burglary, theft of moveable property, criminal damage and criminal trespass in New Jersey court.
In an order signed March 27, federal Judge Michael Hammer said based on a psychiatric report sealed by the court, Alzahrani has a mental disease or defect that makes him unable to understand the court proceedings and properly participate in his defense….
Alzahrani was in the U.S. on a student visa and was attending an unidentified university, but he left the school in October and was reported missing, an FBI agent wrote in court papers.
On Jan. 15, a home break-in was reported in Livingston, New Jersey, and a backpack found inside with Alzahrani’s Saudi Arabian passport and a journal with writings about jihad and threats against Jews and police officers, prosecutors said.
The journal, with entries in Arab and English, had phrases including, “Why didn’t you slaughter the police officer who threw the Quran?,” “Blood, blood, destruction, destruction. Allah,” and “Destruction of the new world and the earth will be destroyed from all sides,” according to court records.
There were also derogatory remarks about Jews and white people and other violent references, records state….
Why would anybody think he is mentally ill, this is typical radicalized Islamic behaviour? And, yes, of course, he is mentally ill as are all radicalized Muslims.
Is his inability to properly participate in his own defence because he refuses to recognize in law other than Allah's?
Western countries have to act proactively in separating jihadists from western society. The longer we wait to deal with these lunatics, the bloodier, I suspect, it is going to be.
