UK: Police fabricated evidence to justify banning Jewish fans from soccer match after pressure from Muslims

Police drew up false evidence after decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans

Police produced false evidence to retrospectively justify banning Israeli fans from an away fixture in Britain after the move was agreed. The force drew up the “intelligence” after the local council privately said it had been “challenged” over the decision and needed a clearer “rationale”.
West Midlands police and Birmingham city council had already agreed to operate “on the assumption” of “no away fans” when Maccabi Tel Aviv played Aston Villa in November.
Leaked minutes from a safety advisory group meeting say police based their initial support for it on what one officer described as “my professional judgment” and “in the absence of intelligence”.
The force only produced “significant” and “new” “intelligence” about Maccabi’s fanbase after a Birmingham council staff member confided that they had faced questions and been “asked to obtain” information to pre-empt criticism or claims of “anti-Jewish sentiment”.
West Midlands police changed its approach and focused overwhelmingly on the disorder that broke out when Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters attended a game in Amsterdam in November 2024. It claimed that Israelis “randomly” threw innocent civilians into canals and that hundreds of fans “linked” to the IDF attacked “Muslim communities”, requiring the deployment of thousands of Dutch officers.
Chief Constable Craig Guildford stood by the allegations even after police in the Netherlands dismissed them as untrue or misleading….
Nick Timothy, the Conservative MP for West Suffolk, said the new paperwork showed West Midlands police had “invented” its claims to fit a political decision made in response to local pressure.
Writing in The Sunday Times, he said: “Some might care little about foreign football fans. But this scandal is far more serious. It is about whether we can trust the police to do their vital work without fear or favour, and who holds the power in modern, multicultural Britain.”…

It has been going on so long that it might be considered a French tradition, like the galette des rois served on Epiphany, January 6. On New Years’ Day, which is used as an excuse, those demurely described in the media as “migrant youths” in France like to set cars of the Infidel French on fire. The glow of the flames, the warmth of the fire, the imagined rage and despair of the cars’ owners — what’s not to like, for those young Muslims who need to express their resentment of the non-Muslims among whom they, or their parents, have come to live.

The suicidal policy of unchecked mass migration is takings its toll on the European nations.
Among the multiple problems, there’s the fact that the New Years ‘celebrations’ have turned into an excuse for violent migrants to attack police, firefighters and commons citizens with fireworks, turning it into a war.
As Jim Hoft reported previously here on TGP, in Amsterdam a secular church was destroyed by fire as a result of these firework rampage.
What is a secular church?
In France, where some of the NYE events were cancelled, the situation worsened considerably compared to last year.

These “hooded youths” are Muslims, both migrants and the sons of migrants. They enjoy their vandalism, enjoy destroying the property of the French, and enjoy taunting the forces of order — the police and firemen who arrive at the scene of these automobile arsons to rescue people threatened by the fires. What fun to mock and taunt them as they try to save lives and protect property.
A new tradition, a new record. From 984 cars destroyed in France by fire last year on New Year’s Day, to 1173 this year by young Muslim males intent on having fun. Tens of millions of dollars up in smoke. “Burn, baby, burn” isn’t just for Watts anymore. And next year, there will be hundreds more cars incinerated than there were this year, to keep up the tradition. France, you did this to yourself. There is still time — just — to call a halt.

Belgium’s decision to end Federal Police security for the Jewish quarter of Antwerp on January 1 is “unbelievable” and “outrageous,” Jewish groups and politicians told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.
Despite surging antisemitism and hate crimes globally, the 16 officers of the Federal Police who are responsible for the protection of the Jewish quarter in Antwerp will no longer be deployed after January 1. This will leave the Antwerp Police to fill the gap; however, they are already overstretched.
Mayor Els Van Doesburg told Belga News Agency, “The Jewish community across the country has been under increased threat level since 2014. Federal agents were also provided for the security of the Jewish quarter, who, together with local agents, ensured this security. It’s a fifty-fifty split between federal and local, so half of the effort suddenly disappears.”
Van Doesburg called the decision “incomprehensible.”
“There must be no vacuum in the safety of the Jewish quarter in Antwerp,” she added. Antwerp’s Jewish quarter is tight-knit and predominately Orthodox.
Interior Minister Bernard Quintin confirmed the decision but said that the security of Jewish sites remains “an absolute priority.”
Ralph Pais of Belgium’s Jewish Information & Documentation Center told the Post on Thursday that the situation has created “genuine unrest within the Jewish community in Antwerp.”…
