Have you ever heard of a single island disappearing? There are more islands now than there were 30 years ago.
The Maldives are the lowest country on Earth with an average elevation of 1.5 meters. The highest point on the Maldives is either 2.4 m or 5.1 m depending on the source. 5.1 m is 17 feet. 1.5 m is 5 feet.
An average of 5 feet means about half of the islands are less than 5 feet in elevation. Why are they still here?
There are 1192 islands in the Maldives and, to my knowledge, not one has disappeared.
Where is all that water from melted glaciers and warming Antarctica going?
Warming ocean waters must expand with rising temperatures. This should be measurable all over the world. But it isn't.
