‘Political Correctness Gone Mad’: Lord Admiral Slams Maritime Museum for Gender-Neutral Ships

The de-gendering of ships by a maritime museum is “political correctness gone mad,” a retired senior British Royal Navy officer has said. He warned conceding to pressure groups is a “very dangerous road” to go down.

Admiral Lord Alan West was responding to the Scottish Maritime Museum’s decision to introduce a “gender neutral interpretation” of ships, following a spate of vandalism targeting the words ‘she’ and ‘her’ on one of their signs.

Lord West, the former head of the Royal Navy, phoned BBC Radio 4’s Today show, to argue that boats have been referred to as ‘she’ for centuries, and scraping that tradition would be “absolutely stupid.”

It’s stark staring bonkers and political correctness gone mad…
an insult to a generation of sailors, the ships are seen almost
as a mother to preserve us from the dangers of the sea and
also from the violence of the enemy.

David Mann, director of the maritime museum, in Irvine, Scotland, claims they have been forced into making the changes, saying offended vandals have targeted their “very expensive” signs for a second year in a row.

In other words, vandalism is now in control. And if vandals want gender neutral ships in the Royal Navy, then the ships will be neutered.

The museum will now phase in the use of new gender neutral signs, having recognized the changes in society around gender neutral interpretation, despite previously having followed the universally-adopted maritime tradition of referring to vessels as female.

Lord West, who served under Gordon Brown’s Labour government between 2007 and 2010, warned that it’s a “very dangerous road we are going down” if changes are made to age-old traditions, based on the concerns of “tiny pressure groups.

A spokesperson for the Royal Navy has insisted the tradition should not be changed, adding: “The Royal Navy has a long tradition of referring to its ships as ‘she’ and will continue to do so.”

Hundreds of Cars Burnt in France, Over 500 Arrested During ‘Traditional’ New Year Unrest

The New Normal - France

New Year’s Eve celebrations in France have turned out to be not only a time of joy, but also a frantic spell for police and emergency service personnel who faced mass disorder across the country.

The number of vehicles torched during the festivities that spiralled out of control in Paris and other French cities have surpassed 1,000, the French Interior Ministry said in a statement reviewing the New Year’s Eve celebrations. The number of vehicle arson attacks “slightly exceeded” last year's figures, when 935 cars were set alight, the ministry added.

The statement said further that 510 people were arrested during the festivities, calling it a “significant increase” in comparison to last year’s 454 arrests. The number of people charged with various offenses also jumped slightly from 301 to 349, according to the ministry.

Smooth and Serene - Astonishing!

All things considered, the ministry said New Year was celebrated “serenely” and ran “smoothly,” describing all the incidents as just “a certain number of ordinary disorders.” For France, though, such "incidents" have evolved into some sort of a “tradition.”

The practice to set cars alight on New Year’s Eve as a symbol of protest reportedly originated in the '90s in the poorest areas of the country’s east, around Strasbourg. The burning of cars has been used since as an expression social discontent, occurring almost every year.

The highest number of such incidents were registered between 2005 and 2009. In 2010 and 2011 the interior ministry declined to release any figures, drawing criticism that the numbers could have been too embarrassing for the government.

This time, however, France's New Year celebrations were marred by a number of particularly violent incidents. About 11 law enforcement officers, both from the police and gendarmerie, were injured in various incidents that took place on New Year’s Eve, according to the interior ministry.

I'm sure glad it was 'serene'!

One particular case provoked widespread public indignation and caught the attention of the French President Emmanuel Macron. Three officers were injured in the Paris’s southeastern suburb of Chennevieres-sur-Marne as police were called to stop a group of several dozens of people from forcing their way into a private party.

The incident quickly descended into violence, with the angry mob severely beating the officers, including a female. Videos of the incident were subsequently posted on social media, provoking public fury. The footage show a policewoman lying on the ground as she is being kicked by the crowd.

Macron condemned the episode on Twitter as “a cowardly and criminal lynching.” He also demanded that those guilty of committing the assault “be found and punished.

Criticism After Danish School Cancels Christmas to Avoid ‘Preaching’ to non-Christian Children

The New Normal - Denmark at Christmas

Parents of local children, education officials and leading Danish politicians have criticized a primary school after it chose to cancel the traditional Christmas service, due to the presence of students of immigrant backgrounds.

"We took the decision because we have children who are not Protestant,” Marianne Vederso Schmidt, the head of Gribskolen in Graested, a town of fewer than 5,000 people in eastern Denmark, wrote in an intranet posting earlier this month.

Schmidt noted that the decision may have been overdue, as the education law forbids preaching “and it must be left to the individual families whether they want to privately attend a service.”

Ten parents complained to the primary school, and the story was immediately picked up by national media, which speculated that the move was aimed at appeasing the sensitivities of Muslim students.

Some accused Gribskolen of double standards, considering that last year it staged a 'Syria Week' in which Danish children immersed themselves in Middle Eastern culture, and were given lessons by immigrants.

“I don’t see why our tradition has to be taken away from us, just because someone else at the school believes in something else,” Mette BrĂ¼el-Holler, a parent of two enrolled daughters, told TV2. “I come from a small community, where the church is important, and these traditions are beautiful. I remember enjoying them myself as a child, and they are a fundamental part of Christmas.”

The cancellation has also been condemned by the local church pastor, who was due to perform the service and complained that Christmas was being “drained of its deeper meaning” and the mayor of the Zeeland town, who called it a “misguided decision.”

Politicians from across the ruling center-right coalition have joined in the chorus of criticism.

“Danish primary schools have a duty to spread education – and teaching the cultural values and knowledge connected to Christmas is an essential part of that,” Health Minister Ellen Trane Norby wrote on her Facebook page. “What benefits from this decision? Not the culture or level of integration within the country.”

“We have a critical lack of self-esteem. We are a Christian country with our own traditions. We should not sacrifice this in the name of multiculturalism,” wrote Marie Krarup, of the Danish People's Party, asking social media users whether similar initiatives had been undertaken by other institutions.

The chairman of the School Leaders Association, Claus Hjortdal, has said that there is no provision that there must be a church service at Christmas at the end of term, and pointed out that many schools do not have one at all.

Meanwhile, the local school board has called an emergency meeting for the upcoming Thursday, where a compromise may be suggested. The board pointed out to the media that they have no means of forcing Gribskolen into a decision.

The most famous native of Graested, current Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, who himself attended Gribskolen as a child, waded into the debate when he took to Facebook to plead with his alma mater for a “re-do.”

"Ban Munich's Oktoberfest, It's Offensive to Muslims" - Important Update

As I cautioned below, this website was of unknown or questionable credibility. I sourced it from credible people, but, alas, it was a joke. Not a very funny joke, but a joke.

Muslim Petitions To Cancel Oktoberfest In Germany As Munich Police Plan To Keep Refugees and Revelers Apart

Oktoberfest - 182 year old tradition in Munich
If you needed any more proof that the Muslim invasion aka caliphate is coming…this is it: A Muslim man put up a petition on the internet to BAN Oktoberfest in Munich:

Caution: This article comes from a web-site with unknown, if not questionable credibility. I publish it here because you're not likely to find this in mainstream media whether it's true or not. I suspect it is.

Ban the Intolerant and Anti-Islamic event of Oktoberfest

Dear City council of Munich,

I am writing this letter to bring to your attention something that I and many Muslims believe is unfair and requires attention. I would like to inform you that the Oktoberfest is an Intolerant and Anti-Islamic event. We tried to ignore the event, but there too many Un-Islamic acts done at the Oktoberfest. Such as alcohol consumption, public nudity etc.

We understand that the Oktoberfest is a yearly German tradition, but we, Muslims, can not tolerate this Un-Islamic event, because it offends us and all Muslims on the earth. We are requesting the immediate cancellation of the upcoming Oktoberfest event.

We also believe that the Oktoberfest might also offend all the Muslim refugees coming from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan. The cancellation of the Oktoberfest event will help refugees not to forget their Islamic history. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Morad Almuradi

The petition is asking for 500 signatures and has received over 200.

What to expect from Islamization

Germany's initial response to the refugee crisis is extraordinary and laudable. But messing with German's rights to drink beer will change that in a hurry.

Dr Peter Hammond has documented the typical effects of Islamization in Europe in relation to the percentage of the Muslim population. Here is an excerpt:

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply.

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections.

The point is that Oktoberfest will be cancelled! Not this year or next, but maybe in 5 years or 10, or 20. It's just a matter of time. When that happens the streets of Munich will not be safe for anyone.

Challenges

There is talk of what to do during Oktoberfest this year to keep the groups from clashing. This really is a recipe for disaster! Please read the below accounts from Munich that are really frightening: (really frightening may be a little exaggerated; on the other hand - messing with German beer drinkers...)

MUNICH POLICE READY FOR THE CHALLENGE OF REFUGEES AND REVELERS ARRIVING TOGETHER:

Munich’s police force is ready for Oktoberfest 2015. Five-hundred police officers will be on hand to provide security and ensure order in and around the festival area, it was announced at a press conference in Munich on Tuesday. “We are taking all the necessary precautions, just as we do every year,” said the city’s administrator chief Wilfried Blume-Beyerle. “Reports of a crisis situation are simply false.”

Just the same, the fact that revelers and refugees will be arriving at Munich Central Station simultaneously poses a challenge. As many as 40,000 refugees arrived in the Bavarian capital over the past two weekends. Blume-Beyerle said that during Oktoberfest, the two groups will be directed out of the station separately, the refugees to the north, the Oktoberfest visitors to the south.

But now that border controls have been reintroduced and trains carrying refugees are being rerouted past Munich, authorities do not expect welcome the same numbers as in recent weeks. “But if it turns out that way, we’ll manage,” said Senior Police Director Werner Feiler.

The 182nd Oktoberfest starts on Saturday and the city expects to see roughly six million visitors before it ends on October 4.

MUNICH IS AT CAPACITY AND THE STRAIN IS SHOWING

“Munich has reached its limit,” Mayor Dieter Reiter told a press conference on Saturday, saying that his city was trying its best to manage the enormous influx of people.

“We have had 3,600 refugees coming in by 10:30 this morning,” Christoph Hillenbrand, district president of Upper Bavaria, told journalists. “This is the largest number of refugees we have had at this time of the day until now.” He said that officials expected about 10,000 applicants for asylum to reach the southern German city on Saturday, but that there was allocated space for only half that many.

Hillenbrand said officials had no idea how they would create beds for the 5,000 people left without access to “buses, trains or any free space” on Saturday evening. The only hope can come from Bavaria’s neighbors, who can use the state’s example and take their share of the responsibility for accommodating applicants for asylum.

A ‘national problem’

Strain is now slowly showing. Many in Munich say Germany must help those in need, but a feeling of fear has replaced the initial euphoria that marked the mood when trains full of migrants began arriving last week.

Migrants arriving in Germany - where are all the women and children?
“I am shocked because so many refugees are coming,” said a woman in her mid-50s who has been volunteering since last week. “But one must help,” she added.
