Islamic Inhumanity and Christian NGOs Hypocrisy in Pakistan

Nabeel Masih: Pakistan’s Youngest Christian

Blasphemy Convict Dies After Years of Neglect

It was the year 2016. Nabeel Masih was just a 16-year-old cheerful, ordinary Christian boy living in a poor village in Kasur District, Pakistan. Like other boys his age, he used social media. But one day, his life suddenly took a horrifying turn. On September 18, 2016, Islamist Akhtar Ali accused Nabeel Masih, then just 16 years old, of allegedly committing blasphemy over a Facebook post that insulted the Kaaba in Mecca. According to Ali, he and some Muslim friends were browsing Facebook when they came across an image on Masih’s timeline that depicted the Kaaba with a pig placed on top of it. Ali filed a blasphemy complaint against Masih at the Phoolnagar Police Station. Police vans were immediately dispatched to Masih’s home in Dina Nath village, where he was arrested and charged under Sections 295 and 295-A of Pakistan’s Penal Code. Police claimed they removed the allegedly blasphemous image from Facebook to prevent further violence. However, the removal also made it impossible to verify whether Masih himself had uploaded the image or had simply been tagged in it. In 2018, Masih was convicted of blasphemy and sentenced to 10 years in prison. At just 18 years old, he became the youngest person in Pakistan’s history to be convicted under the blasphemy laws.

Four Years of Torment

Nabeel spent four precious years of his youth behind the bars of Lahore and Kot Lakhpat prisons in solitary confinement, under severe mental stress, and surrounded by a violent environment. These were the years when he should have been studying, playing, and laughing but instead, he lived each day in agony. His lawyer, Saad Jabar, a noted human rights advocate, fought for his case. Several local and international organizations particularly Christian Solidarity International (CSI) CSW (Christian Solidarity Worldwide), CLAAS, and ACN (Aid to the Church in Need) BACA (British asian christians Association) raised his plight, And Many More but in reality Nabeel was never given lasting protection or relief.

Bail, but the Scars of Prison Remained

In 2020, the Supreme Court granted Nabeel bail. Yet when he walked out of prison, he was neither physically healthy nor mentally at peace. The inhumane conditions of jail contaminated water, inadequate food, and constant psychological pressure had shattered his health. He had developed severe liver, kidney, and lung diseases. Doctors recommended treatment, with some even advising medical care abroad but no NGO or organization responded to his pleas.

Promises, Funding, and Silent Spectators

Countless organizations continued to raise funds in Nabeel’s name. Some showcased his case internationally and collected large donations. Yet Nabeel remained where he was abandoned, poor, sick, and hopeless in Lahore. These so-called organizations never helped evacuate innocent victims of false blasphemy accusations out of Pakistan after their release. Doing so would have cut off their own funding and donations. Instead, they deliberately kept victims inside Pakistan so they could tell donors: “We are hiding them in our safe houses.” Their livelihood thrived on exploiting the suffering of these helpless victims in the name of “protection.” Nabeel was never sent abroad for Asylum, medical care, never offered a rehabilitation program, and never provided with psychological support.

His Last Breath, July 31, 2025

Nabeel’s condition worsened with each passing day. He was admitted to hospitals several times, but it was already too late. On July 31, 2025, Nabeel Masih breathed his last. His eyes finally closed eyes that, until the very end, were still searching for justice. Nabeel Masih’s tragic death is not only an indictment of Pakistan’s cruel blasphemy laws, but also of the hypocrisy of NGOs that turned his suffering into fundraising campaigns while abandoning him to die without justice, dignity, or hope.

Islam Hates Christianity > Family murders Muslim who converted to Christianity in Uganda

Uganda: Muslim converts to Christianity, his relatives break into his home and kill him

The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law. It’s based on the Qur’an:They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)

A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him(Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.

This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-‘ashriyyah, Al-Ja’fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”

Qaradawi also once famously said: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”

Muslim Relatives of New Christian Break into Home to Kill Him

Morning Star News, July 22, 2025:

NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News)Muslim relatives of a Christian convert in eastern Uganda on Friday (July 18) forced their way into his locked home and killed him, sources said.

As he had done since accepting Christ in April, Kasajja Abdul Maliki of Kaliro village, Kaliro District had locked himself in his house during Friday mosque service to pray and study the Bible when his Muslim relatives burst in and stabbed him to death, his niece said. He was 37.

Maliki, who was unmarried, had begun receiving questions from his family members about his absence from mosque prayers earlier this month – he responded that he was getting training as a welder – and a week before his death, a Muslim neighbor informed relatives that he was seen leaving a church premise, sources said.

His niece, identified only as Shamina, said that on Friday (July 18) at about 3 p.m. the relatives heard Maliki praying loudly inside his house “in the name of Issa [Jesus], petitioning Issa to save the family members.”

“I then alerted the family members about Maliki’s strange way of praying, who hurriedly went to his house,” said Shamina, daughter of Maliki’s older brother Lubega Kalimu. “They found the house locked as Maliki was still praying. They pushed the door very hard and got inside and found Maliki still praying with the Bible placed beside him.”

They picked up the Bible and tore it to pieces, she said.

“As we were inside the house, other members of the family arrived and were so angry and started shouting the Islamic slogan, ‘Allah Akbar [God is greater],’ and began striking Maliki with kicks and blows,” Shamina told Morning Star News. “Soon more members of the family arrived with knives and sticks led by my father, Kalimu, and Sempa Arafat.”

As Maliki screamed for help, Kalimu “with a sharp knife pierced him through his chest,” she said….

Islam Hates Christians > 23 years on death row, Pakistan Supreme Court decides he never committed blasphemy

Pakistan: Christian acquitted of blasphemy

after 23 years on death row

“In his open letter, Kenneth merely stated that his Christian belief does not endorse Islam. He hasn’t used any derogatory language for prophet Muhammad that warranted a conviction under blasphemy.”

All one has to do to be accused of blasphemy in Pakistan is affirm the Christian faith, or any other faith, without directly insulting Muhammad at all.

Christian Acquitted after 23 Years on Death Row for ‘Blasphemy’

Morning Star News, June 25, 2025:

LAHORE, Pakistan (Christian Daily International–Morning Star News)The Supreme Court of Pakistan today (June 25) ordered the acquittal of an elderly Christian on death row for 23 years on a blasphemy conviction, declaring that a person of unsound mind could not be held liable for such a crime, his lawyer said.

Supreme Court attorney Rana Abdul Hameed said that a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Shahzad Ahmed Khan and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan acquitted Anwar Kenneth, a 72-year-old Catholic, of the blasphemy allegations.

“It is very unfortunate that an elderly man has languished in various prisons for over two decades despite his mental health condition,” Hameed, a Muslim, told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News. “The Supreme Court’s decision to acquit him in view of his mental illness, though after a prolonged delay, will help in highlighting the plight of dozens of other blasphemy prisoners who are also suffering from mental health challenges, yet their cases have been pending for years.”

Hameed lauded the Supreme Court judges for making the right decision despite pressure from lawyers affiliated with various Islamist groups, including the Khatm-e-Nabbuwat (Finality of Prophethood) Lawyers Forum.

“These lawyers and clerics caused a ruckus in the courtroom as soon as the judges announced the acquittal order,” Hameed said. “Kenneth’s acquittal is a big setback to them, as it will have an impact on all blasphemy cases of similar nature.”…

“Though Islam is one of the three Abrahamic faiths, and Muslims believe in all prophets, including Jesus Christ, Christians and Jews don’t believe in prophet Muhammad,” Hameed stated. “In his open letter, Kenneth merely stated that his Christian belief does not endorse Islam. He hasn’t used any derogatory language for prophet Muhammad that warranted a conviction under blasphemy.”

Kenneth’s appeal against the high court’s decision had lingered for years. On March 12, 2024, the Supreme Court directed the country’s top Islamic body, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), and two Christian bodies – the Pakistan Church Council and the United Church Council of Islamabad – to advise the court on whether content that left the Catholic on death row for over two decades was in fact blasphemous.

A three-member Supreme Court bench in January 2023 noted the need for legal representation for Kenneth and requested that the Pakistan Bar Council provide a defense attorney after five state-provided lawyers recused themselves from the case.

Hameed, who has successfully defended several persons falsely charged with blasphemy, agreed to represent the Christian with the support of advocacy group Jubilee Campaign Netherlands.

Kenneth’s family members had previously told this reporter that he worked as a deputy director in the fisheries department when he was arrested. According to them, Kenneth was a well-educated man with a deep interest in his Christian faith.

“My brother was a Bible scholar and often engaged in scholastic discussions with his Muslim friends and religious leaders,” Kenneth’s 83-year-old elder sister, Reshma Bibi, told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News in March 2024. “He also communicated his religious ideas and values through his letter-writing, but he was never disrespectful towards any holy personality. It was one of these letters that was used to silence him.”…

This Day in History > The Last Day of the World - Constantinople overrun by evil - The Great Tribulation

May 29: The Last Day of the World

Burhan Ozbilici

“On May 29, 1453,” the state-run Turkish broadcaster TRT World reported happily on Thursday, the 572nd anniversary of the fateful day, “a 21-year-old Sultan Mehmed II led the Ottoman army to a decisive victory over the Byzantine Empire. The conquest of Istanbul remains a shining jewel in the crown of the Ottoman Empire.”

But for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Satan's proudest moment since the Garden of Eden was when he stood in the Hagia Sophia on the great and terrible day. The day began with the breach of Constantinople's walls, whereupon lights were seen emanating upward from the Hagia Sophia, the largest church in Christendom for nearly a thousand years.

Were the angels of God evacuating the lost church before the angels of Satan invaded and polluted it with their evil and the blood of saints?

Recep Tayyip Erdogan stood in the Hagia Sophia and  recited verses from the Quran and other Islamic texts on 3 occasions since 2018. The last occasion was on May 29, 2023, after the Hagia Sophia was declared to be an Islamic mosque.

Was this the "Holy Place" Jesus was referring to in Matthew 24? Was this the signal of the beginning of the Great Tribulation? It was followed within a few months by the massacre of 1200 Jews by the worst evil since the Holocaust.

Ancient map of Judea

Matthew 24:15,16 - 15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."

Are we in the second year of the Great Tribulation? Will Jesus return in 2030 or thereabouts?  Will all Hell break loose in 2027 or so?

(Search this blog for 'Hagia Sophia' for a number of stories on this.)

Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s desire to restore the lost glory of that empire is well known, but those who are the children and heirs of the victims of its bloody expansion look on this anniversary with somewhat less enthusiasm than TRT World displayed.

Some Greek Orthodox Christians to this day refer to May 29, 1453, as “the last day of the world.” In a very real sense, that is exactly what it was: the end of over two thousand years of the Roman Empire, the end of what had for centuries been the world’s foremost power and leading Christian state. The conquest of Constantinople meant the eclipse of Christianity in Asia Minor, which had been such an important center of the faith that three of Paul’s New Testament epistles — Galatians, Ephesians, and Colossians — were addressed to Christian congregations there.

Constantinople had been the center of Christianity in the eastern part of the Roman Empire, and the second see in the Church, after only Rome. After the East/West schism of 1054, Constantinople was the heart of Orthodox Christianity. As “The History of Jihad” recounts in detail, however, on Tuesday, May 29, 1453, the armies of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II finally broke through Constantinople’s defenses after a long siege, marking the end of the great Christian Roman Empire.

The conquerors were extraordinarily brutal, raiding monasteries and convents, emptying them of their inhabitants, and plundering private houses. They entered Hagia Sophia, which for nearly a thousand years had been the grandest church in Christendom. The faithful had gathered within its hallowed walls to pray during the city’s last agony. The Muslims halted the celebration of Orthros (morning prayer), while the priests, according to legend, took the sacred vessels and disappeared into the cathedral’s eastern wall, through which they shall return to complete the divine service one day. Muslim men then killed the elderly and weak and led the rest off into slavery.

The Byzantine scholar Bessarion wrote to the Doge of Venice in July 1453, saying that Constantinople had been “sacked by the most inhuman barbarians and the most savage enemies of the Christian faith, by the fiercest of wild beasts. The public treasure has been consumed, private wealth has been destroyed, the temples have been stripped of gold, silver, jewels, the relics of the saints, and other most precious ornaments. Men have been butchered like cattle, women abducted, virgins ravished, and children snatched from the arms of their parents.”

When the slaughter and pillage were finished, Mehmed II ordered an Islamic scholar to mount the high pulpit of the Hagia Sophia and declare that there was no God but Allah, and Muhammad was his prophet. The magnificent old church was turned into a mosque; hundreds of other churches in Constantinople and elsewhere suffered the same fate. Millions of Christians joined the ranks of the dhimmis; others were enslaved, and many were killed.

Once the Muslims had thoroughly subdued Constantinople, they set out to Islamize it. According to the Muslim chronicler Hoca Sa’deddin, tutor of the sixteenth-century Sultans Murad III and Mehmed III, “churches which were within the city were emptied of their vile idols and cleansed from the filthy and idolatrous impurities and by the defacement of their images and the erection of Islamic prayer niches and pulpits many monasteries and chapels became the envy of the gardens of Paradise.”

It has come to be known as Black Tuesday, the Last Day of the World. Ever since, many Greek Christians regard Tuesday as unlucky. The world has forgotten what happened on Black Tuesday and on so many other days like it from India to Spain, and today persists in the fantasy that Islam does not contain an imperialist impulse and that Muslims can be admitted without limit into Western countries without any attempt to determine how many would like ultimately to subjugate and Islamize their new countries, the way their forefathers did to Constantinople so long ago.

There are, however, some people who remember — and they want to do it again. Back in 2008, Sheik Ali Al-Faqir, former Jordanian minister of religious endowment, said this on Al-Aqsa TV: “We proclaim that we will conquer Rome, like Constantinople was conquered once…” Hamas MP and Islamic cleric Yunis Al-Astal said this, also on Al-Aqsa TV several years ago: “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.”

The man who was the most popular Islamic TV preacher until his death several years ago, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, also remembered. In writing about “signs of the victory of Islam,” he referred to a hadith: “The Prophet Muhammad was asked: ‘What city will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyya?’ He answered: ‘The city of Hirqil [that is, the Roman emperor Heraclius] will be conquered first’ – that is, Constantinople… Romiyya is the city called today ‘Rome,’ the capital of Italy. The city of Hirqil [that is, Constantinople] was conquered by the young 23-year-old Ottoman Muhammad bin Morad, known in history as Muhammad the Conqueror, in 1453. The other city, Romiyya, remains, and we hope and believe [that it too will be conquered].”

Mehmed the Conqueror was motivated by exactly the same religious ideology that motivates the Islamic warriors of the contemporary era. They remember, and still celebrate, what happened in Constantinople on May 29, 1453. For free people in the West and elsewhere, May 29 should be a day for all those threatened by Islamic jihad and Sharia oppression to redouble our efforts to resist, so that more such catastrophes may never again destroy the lives of free people.
