Boeing's 737 Max jets not safe for use > Profits trump safety - Former Managers

Ex-senior Boeing manager warns flyers to avoid

737 MAX 9 jets: ‘I would absolutely not fly a MAX airplane’

Former high-level Boeing managers and engineers have issued startling warnings for flyers to avoid the airplane giant’s troubled 737 MAX 9 jets as the model once again takes to the skies.

“I would absolutely not fly a MAX airplane,” one-time senior Boeing manager Ed Pierson bluntly told the Los Angeles Times of the model that recently saw a door plug blow out in midair on an Alaska Airlines flight.

“I’ve worked in the factory where they were built, and I saw the pressure employees were under to rush the planes out the door.”

Joe Jacobsen, a former Boeing engineer who has also worked at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), gave a similar warning, saying it was “premature” for airlines, including Alaska, to have resumed flying the jets.

“I would tell my family to avoid the MAX,” Jacobsen told the LA Times, claiming that his time at the company made him realize that profits were prioritized over quality control.

“I would tell everyone, really.”

Ed Pierson, a former senior manager at Boeing, said he “would absolutely not fly a MAX airplane.”

Boeing’s planes were temporarily grounded for a federal inspection earlier this month after an Alaska Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing when a section blew out in mid-flight — whipping the shirt off a young passenger.

President and CEO David Calhoun admitted days later that a “quality escape” had occurred, telling employees: “This event can never happen again.”

On Wednesday, he emailed employees, conceding that “scrutiny” from the accident “makes it absolutely clear that we have more work to do” to “strengthen our safety and quality processes.”

Pierson said he had “tried to get them to shut down” even before 2018, when a Lion Air jetliner crashed into the Java Sea, killing all 189 people aboard.

In September, Pierson’s Foundation for Aviation Safety also published a study that found that airlines filed more than 1,300 reports about safety problems on Boeing’s MAX 8 and MAX 9 airplanes with the FAA.

Jacobsen, meanwhile, said the airplane manufacturer has been “trying to maximize profits” and “go with the lowest bidder” for years.

Flight 1282 was forced to return to Portland International Airport on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024.

“For the last 20 years, they’ve gone in this continual direction of towards financial engineering instead of technical engineering,” Jacobsen said, arguing the company was basically playing a game of Whack-a-Mole in which it would only fix issues once a problem began to emerge.

The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to release its preliminary findings about the Alaska Airlines near-disaster in the coming days.

The FAA has already allowed airlines to once again start flying Boeing MAX planes following its own “exhaustive [and] enhanced review.”

Former Boeing employee Joe Jacobsen called the return of 787 MAX 9 jets “premature.”

“Let me be clear: This won’t be back to business as usual for Boeing,” Administrator Mike Whitaker said in a statement last week.

“The quality assurance issues we have seen are unacceptable. That is why we have more boots on the ground closely scrutinizing and monitoring production and manufacturing activities.”

Alaska Airlines officials said it would fly the MAX 9s “only after the rigorous inspections are completed and each plane is deemed airworthy according to FAA requirements.”

About half of those inspections were completed by the end of last Monday, airline officials said, and its first MAX 9 departed from Seattle, Wash., on Friday and landed in San Diego, Calif., about an hour late.

United also started flying its MAX 9 fleet Saturday morning, with a flight from Newark, NJ, to Las Vegas, Nev.

But Jacobsen, the former FAA engineer, said the agency’s decision to allow the planes to fly again was “premature,” noting that he and other safety advocates have been sounding the alarm on numerous safety issues on both the MAX 8 and MAX 9 planes for years.

In fact, the FAA warned pilots last year to limit the use of an anti-ice system to just five minutes, after a serious defect was discovered in its engine that could cause debris to break off and “result in loss of control of the airplane.”

Boeing was seeking an engineering exemption from the FAA to exclude the MAX 7s from the line that needed to change its anti-ice system, but withdrew its petition on Monday.

The company is expected to release its fourth-quarter earnings in a call to investors Wednesday. Its stock prices have fallen about 19% since the midair blowout on Jan. 5.

In his email to employees Wednesday, Calhoun noted “tough and direct conversations with our customers, regulators and lawmakers” who are “disappointed.”

“We’ve taken significant steps over the last several years to strengthen our safety and quality processes, but this accident makes it absolutely clear that we have more work to do,” he acknowledged.

“This increased scrutiny — whether from ourselves, from our regulator, or from others — will make us better,” he told his staff.

“We have a serious challenge in front of us — but I know this team is up to the task.”

Islam in Africa > Nigerian Military assisting Muslims with Christian Genocide

I have been making this accusation for more than a year now. The Christian Association of Nigeria is now also making the same accusation.

Plateau crisis: Family wiped out, man beheaded

as CAN chair accuses military of aiding killing of Christians

by Obinna Ezugwu, Hallmark News, January 25, 2024:

The religious crisis in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Wednesday, took a more dangerous turn as mobs went on rampage, burning Christian worship centres, and killing just about anyone within reach.

The latest violence follows the Christmas Eve attacks on communities in three local government areas of the state by suspected Fulani herdsmen in which not less than 200 people were killed, according to several accounts.

The Gunmen had stormed Ndun, Ngyong, Murfet, Makundary, Tamiso, Chiang, Tahore, Gawarba, Dares, Meyenga, Darwat, and Butura Kampani villages in the Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Bokkos areas of the state, burning houses and shooting residents.

On Wednesday (yesterday), a graphic video of a young man being beheaded by a suspected Muslim mob trended on Wednesday, even as a family of five, including both parents and three children were killed by the assailants, witnesses said.

This is as over 30 persons were killed in the early hours of same Wednesday by gunmen who attacked Kwahaslalek village in the restive local government.

Reports said the victims who were mostly women and children, had run to the house of a community leader in the area on Tuesday night for safety following an earlier unrest during the day in Mangu town when the gunmen surrounded them and killed all of them

The Chairman of Mwaghavul Development Association, Joseph Gwankat, who confirmed the killing, said it was callous.

“I couldn’t sleep last night as a result of what happened in Mangu town during the day yesterday. Now, I have just been told Kwahaslalek village was attacked last night and about 30 people were killed .

“From what I was told, the unrest in Mangu town yesterday created fears in many communities. Some people in the village went and evacuated their loved ones and assembled them in a place where they thought was safe.

“So in the night, the killers went to Kwahaslalek village where the people mostly women and children were assembled and killed all of them,” he said…

CAN chairman accuses military of aiding killing of Christians

Meanwhile the chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Mangu Local Government Area, Rev Timothy Daluk, on Wednesday, accused the Nigerian military of supervising the killings of Christians and destruction of properties in Plateau state….

“Enough is enough. We have cried, but the government is not listening. If they switch off their phones, then where else do we take our cries to?” he quizzed.

Come out of her, my people! There is no safe place in Nigeria for Christians. You should all leave before Judgement comes down on that infernal state.

Islam in Europe > Utrecht U is collaborating with the New Nazi

Can you imagine what Corrie Ten Boom would have to say about this madness? Or, all the other Dutch people who hid Jews in their attics for years to save them from the Nazis, and all the Dutch people who endured or died in the concentration camps for hiding those Jews, like Corrie, her sister, and her father.

Islam is the new Nazi! And, Utrecht U is collaborating with them. How disgraceful!

‘Disgraceful’: Dutch University Postpones Holocaust Education Lectures

by Tristan Vanheuckelom, European Conservative, January 29, 2024:

Utrecht’s University of Applied Sciences is postponing a lecture series on the Holocaust, causing uproar in the Netherlands.

The timing of the announcement only made matters worse: Holocaust Memorial Day, the annual observance to commemorate the victims of the genocide that claimed the lives of an estimated six million Jews.

The eight-part lecture series, in collaboration with the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel (CIDI), was supposed to start on February 7th, and is designed to combat a “growing antisemitism in Dutch society.”

A spokesman explained to De Telegraaf that the university wanted to “facilitate a diverse and balanced dialogue around this issue,” and that for this, it would “need more time to put the events of October 7th [when Hamas militants massacred over 1,200 civilians and soldiers in Israel] and beyond into broader perspective, with room for diverse opinions and beliefs.”

Did the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences arrive at its decision independently? It is accused of being influenced—even guided—by the pro-Palestinian activist group New Neighbors Utrecht, according to De Telegraaf.

On its official Instagram page, that group—while not mentioning any direct involvement—merely noted that “speaking out works.” Its sympathizers were more enthusiastic: “A nice victory,” “outrageous that they wanted to hold this lecture series at all” and “I saw that a Holocaust survivor is coming as a speaker. Bizarre,” were typical of some of the reactions….

Will David Cameron pull another spectacularly stupid stunt rewarding Palestinians for their evil

When David Cameron was PM of the United Kingdom, he was one of the first world leaders to tackle online child sexual abuse. He won a lot of praise from me, at least, for his efforts. And then, he called for a referendum on Brexit and immediately quit after the referendum was won by the Brexit side.

Now, he seems to be doing something even more colossally stupid than Brexit. Rewarding (as Robert Spencer suggests) Palestinians for their raping and murderous rampage through southern Israel with a new country. Why is that so stupid? They don't want a new country, they want an old country, Israel, and without any Jews. They want nothing less, and if they are given a new country it will be used as a staging ground for more genocidal attacks on Israel.

When Jews were awarded a state in 1948, it was largely because of the Holocaust, the indescribable suffering and massacres of thousands of Jews every day for years. And also the fact that no country in the world wanted the survivors, to their astonishing shame.

It happened that no country in the world wanted the Holy Land at that time, for centuries a deserted wasteland. Then, suddenly, when the remnant of Jews who survived the Holocaust, and the great purge of Jews from North Africa, set their sights on it, Arabs from across the Middle East wanted it.

That the Palestinians' sheer hatred of Jews, who are better to them during times of peace than their own corrupt, selfish governments, may be rewarded for their evil, their gang-rapes, their beheadings of babies, and their relentless slaughter of innocents, is inconceivable. It's like rewarding the Nazis.

Has David lost his mind again? Or, was he always that dumb?

UK considering rewarding ‘Palestinians’ for Oct. 7

jihad massacre by giving them a state

The fact that they have rejected offers of a state several times in the past, and the implications of that fact, don’t matter to Cameron in the least.

UK considering recognizing Palestinian state, says David Cameron

by Bethany Dawson, Politico, January 30, 2024:

LONDON — The U.K. is considering a push to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations, Foreign Secretary David Cameron said, as he tries to sell a plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

The former prime minister — drafted into the foreign affairs brief by his boss Rishi Sunak last year — said the move could bring about “irreversible progress to a two-state solution.”

“We should be starting to set out what a Palestinian state would look like – what it would comprise, how it would work,” he said in remarks to the Conservative Middle East Council in the House of Commons on Monday night.

“As that happens, we, with allies, will look at the issue of recognizing a Palestinian state, including at the United Nations,” he added. “This could be one of the things that helps to make this process irreversible.”…

If your goal was to annihilate Jews from the Holy Land, yes, you would put in place the irreversible mechanism to bring that about. But you will have to stand before God and tell Him what a great idea it was to bring genocide to Israel. Good luck with that.
