Students would plan theoretical terrorist act
teachers are suspended
translated from “Elever skulle planera teoretiskt terrordåd – lärare stängs av,”
by Beri Zangana, Aftonbladet, December 13, 2023 (thanks to Remix News):
Students at a high school in Jönköping were given the task of planning a fictitious act of terrorism.
Now the teacher is suspended and an investigation has been launched.
“It is extremely inconsiderate,” says the municipality’s head of education Henrik Natt och Dag.
The teacher tells P4 Jönköping that he denies the accusations.
The high school students in Jönköping were given the task on Friday during an English lesson. It was about theoretically planning a terrorist act. Something that aroused strong reactions from both employees and students at the school.
“It was a teacher who had handed out a task where the students would theoretically describe a terrorist attack. That’s how a number of students perceived it,” says Henrik Natt och Dag, head of education in Jönköping municipality.
“Inappropriate task”
Aftonbladet has seen the task that shows a task that was used in a previous stencil. From the education administration’s side, they take what happened seriously and describe it as an “inappropriate” task.
“It is extremely reckless with such a task in these times with an elevated terrorist threat level,” says Henrik Natt och Dag.
“They felt uncomfortable with the task, and that’s how it was noticed.”
Henrik Natt och Dag has seen the task himself.
“It consisted of them making a political statement by planning a terrorist attack. And then there were details about how the task would be done.”
The teacher has now been suspended without pay indefinitely and the school has launched an investigation. He completely denies the allegations.
So, it appears he is a liar too!
To P4 Jönköping, the teacher has given his explanation for what happened. According to him, the task was the opposite and was about writing about how inappropriate the task was. It had previously been used as school supplies in Australia several years ago.
According to the teacher, it was about the students writing a letter of protest against such an assignment.
The teacher himself tells P4 that it is something he has repeated several times.
The teacher is also strongly critical of the fact that the school management did not contact him before he was suspended.
The incident was reported to the police, but the case was closed immediately, writes Jönköpings-Posten.
Aftonbladet has searched for the teacher without success.
Illegal Muslim Immigrants ‘Take Over’ Church in Lyon
OK, "Take Over" is too strong a term here. They were overflow from a nearby 'illegal immigrant' tent city, and were moved to the church yard by the city, or someone. They appear to be well-behaved so far. I'll be a little surprised if that continues for long.
Gloria.tv, December 19, 2023:
About fifty young Muslim migrants have been spending their nights since 8 December in the very large and central Saint-Sacrement Church in Lyon, France.
They were moved from nearby tents where about 140 illegal immigrants live. There is a mosque 5 minutes away.
With the agreement of the archdiocese, the parish is allowing them to stay. The parish priest, Renaud de Kermadec, refused to ask the police to intervene until a “solution” was found. He claims that Sunday Eucharists take place ‘in good conditions’….
Switzerland: Muslim fifth and sixth graders ‘form a mob,’
surround teacher and scream ‘Allahu akbar’
What fine Swiss citizens these children will grow up to be.
They should be a handful by the time they reach high school.
School incident in Bern triggers concerned reactions:
conflict with religious slogans
translated from “Schulvorfall in Bern löst besorgte Reaktionen aus: Konflikt mit religiösen Parolen,” haOlam.de, December 21, 2023 (thanks to Medforth):
There was a serious incident in a school in the west of Bern in which students surrounded a teacher and shouted religious sayings. Headmaster Sebastian Teuscher and the school authorities are taking the incident seriously and have already taken action.
A worrying incident occurred at a school in the west of Bern, alarming the school community and parents. Several 5th and 6th grade students turned against a break supervision teacher during recess on December 13th. According to a letter from headmaster Sebastian Teuscher to the parents of the three affected classes, the children formed a mob, stood in the way of the teacher, circled around her and shouted religious sayings such as “Allahu Akbar.”
Principal Teuscher describes the situation as “shocking” and “intolerable.” He emphasizes that such incidents must be taken seriously, which is also part of the educational approach to the situation. The school has already taken measures, including separate break supervision for the classes involved and disciplinary action against the students.
The incident is seen in the context of the concept of “new authority,” which is being used in more and more schools in Bern. This concept is based on presence, transparency and relationship. Teuscher emphasizes that it is too early to make amends and that the children must first clearly feel that they have exceeded their limits.
The incident also raises questions about the influence of religious slogans from the family home. However, Teuscher interprets this more as a childish provocation. Many parents of the students involved have already reacted and have not approved of their children’s behavior.
Andreas Heuer, President of the responsible school commission, does not see the incident as dramatic for the situation at the schools in the west of Bern. He emphasizes that incidents of violence are rare and that schools can deal with the problems. Heuer also sees positive aspects: despite high levels of migration and poverty, almost all students find an apprenticeship or follow-up solution.
The school authorities are trying to convey a balanced picture of the situation and emphasize that the schools in the Bethlehem school district are not comparable to problem areas in other countries.
Everybody likes to make themselves look better than they are. But I wonder what the schools are like in other countries? The mainstream media hasn't seemed to have noticed.
France: 14-year-old Muslim swears on the Qur’an
that he will kill teacher
The prosecutor denies that this threat was made. Its source, however, is the police. Which is more likely? That the police would fabricate this threat, or that officials would take pains to deny it despite its being true?
His teacher wants to confiscate his cell phone:
the 14-y/o schoolboy threatens and attacks two teachers
translated from “Son professeur veut lui confisquer son téléphone portable : le collégien de 14 ans menace et agresse deux enseignants,” AFP, December 21, 2023 (thanks to Medforth):
A 14-year-old schoolboy was arrested this Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Maine-et-Loire, in Cholet, for violence and outrages committed against two teachers. His math teacher tried to confiscate his phone during class.
The teenager, “described as causing difficulties,” had initially refused to give his phone to his mathematics teacher, who had caught him handling it, explains the Angers public prosecutor Eric Bouillard in a press release.
After passing through the office of the director of Clémenceau school, the student tried to return to class to collect his belongings, “to which the teacher, assisted by another teacher and administrative staff, tried to oppose,” continues the magistrate.
“The minor was belted and in the scene, pushed a teacher, kicked him and tried to deliver other blows,” explains the prosecutor.
“Contrary to what may have been indicated, no death threat was reported by the victims,” underlines Mr. Bouillard. “Similarly, no religious references were made.”
According to a police source cited by TF1, the teenager threatened to kill the teacher by swearing on the Qur’an, which the prosecutor denies.
The schoolboy, already excluded from two establishments, was to appear shortly before a disciplinary council.
Released, he will be summoned before a children’s judge for contempt of persons entrusted with a public service mission and violence in a school establishment, indicates the prosecutor.
The prosecutor seems to be protecting the student, but is putting teachers and other students at great risk. If Muslims are troublesome at 14, they are not going to suddenly become model students at 15.
