On the road with a big knife

Officials from the Floridsdorf city police command and the WEGA special unit were alerted yesterday, Tuesday, around 11 p.m. in the evening, because a man with a large knife was said to be walking around on Mengergasse in Floridsdorf. The man (41, Egyptian nationality) was found. Without any reason, he ran towards the police and apparently tried to attack them, which is why the police had to use physical force against the 41-year-old. Suddenly, the suspect pulled out a knife and only dropped it when the police officers, with service weapons (tasers and firearms) drawn, asked him to do so.

Massive resistance even when arrested

After dropping the knife, he ran towards the police officers again and tried to attack them with a punch. He was provisionally arrested. He violently resisted the arrest. The 41-year-old is being held by the police, the interrogation is still pending.

Days after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted an ISIS-linked terror module in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, it has been revealed that the NIA recovered several anti-India and anti-Hindu materials from the arrested terror terrorists Syed Mamoor Khan, Mohammad Adil Khan and Mohammad Shahid. The material contains information about a mission to turn India into an Islamic nation by the year 2050.

In a press release, the NIA stated that arrested terrorist Adil Khan who was on the agency’s radar since August 2022 and his aides were promoting ISIS propaganda through social media and on-ground ‘Dawah’ programmes to carry out terrorist activities at the behest of ISIS. The NIA had stated the arrested terrorists were receiving funding for carrying out Dawah programmes and disseminating ISIS propaganda. Sharp weapons, ammunition (including prohibited bore), incriminating documents, and digital devices were recovered by the NIA’s raiding teams.

Reportedly, NIA has said that the arrested terrorists were working on the agenda of converting India into an Islamic nation by 2050.

According to the NIA investigation, the three accused were “highly radicalised and determined to carry out violent jihad. They were collecting funds, disseminating ISIS propaganda material, motivating and recruiting youth, and trying to acquire arms and ammunition with the intent of carrying out terrorist acts,” the NIA press release stated.

According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, arrested terrorists Mohammad Adil ran a YouTube channel wherein they found a ‘Dawah To Hindus’ document. The report also claimed to have found the website linked with the YouTube channel which is working on the ‘Dawah’ programme meant to convert non-muslims to Islam. The said website carries out propaganda to destroy religions other than Islam. It is through this website, Adil received funding and there were links related to payments made to him by the ISIS terrorists.

It is pertinent to note that Dawah in Islam means to call proselytise or call upon non-Muslims to convert to Islam. The Dainik Bhaskar report stated that Adil’s YouTube channel had over 92,000 subscribers adding that all the videos posted on the channel have been deleted. However, the report claims to have seen some of the videos before deletion and found out from the comments on the videos that around 60 to 70 percent of the subscribers of the channel were foreigners. Moreover, the cover picture of Adil’s YouTube channel read, “Religion of Truth (Islam) to prevail over all religion”.

Terrorist Adil’s mother told Dainik Bhaskar that her son had told her that he runs a YouTube channel wherein he uploads videos of other Islamic scholars and this led to a copyright strike on his channel. After the strike was revoked, he used to make his own videos. She claimed that it was a normal religious YouTube channel adding that she does not know anything else about it.

Adil’s YouTube channel has ten links, including a Twitter account, an Instagram account, an English Quran app, a Quran online link, a Salah translation PDF document, a Hukm Allah PDF document, a Man Made Law PDF document, a Beneficial Knowledge link, and a PDF document titled “Dawah to Hindus.” This document reportedly claims that the process is underway to turn India into an Islamic nation by 2050.

Dawah To Hindus and 20 chapters filled with lies, distortion and hatred for Hindus

The introduction of this document mentions how Hindus are not practising their own religion appropriately and also describes the ‘similarities’ between Hinduism and Islam.

The ‘Dawah To Hindus’ document consists of twenty chapters, according to the Bhaskar report which includes chapters disparaging Hinduism. There are chapters on Hindu gods like Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma wherein extremely derogatory language has been used for the gods and the Hindu scriptures have been misquoted and distorted beyond imagination….

Dutch Art Fair Director Canceled for Tweets About Islam, Wokeness

Bart Drenth has resigned as global managing director at Tefaf less than six months after taking on the role at the Dutch company, which owns and runs Tefaf Maastricht and Tefaf New York art fairs, in December….

Drenth’s resignation comes days after Artnet News posted an article which chronicled his “anti-woke” Tweets (his account @bardrenth has since been made private). Annie Armstrong translated the Tweets, originally written in Dutch. One, posted in August 2022, reportedly read: “Just as with the Iranian revolution in 1978, left-wing do-gooders stand hand in hand with jihadists. Not knowing that after the success of the revolution they will die first.”

Other tweets, according to Artnet News, read: “Speculating about the transition of the population is only a problem when you are not a Muslim,” and: “Woke is the new Westboro: Hyper-Calvinistic hagglers.” Another said: “Really, your L+ rights are best protected if you are waving around Palestinian flags on the pride parade.” And, last month, Drenth reportedly wrote: “Normalise criticism of the Quran and the Prophet.”

Muslims will kill you for saying such things, wokes will just see to it that you’re forced out of your job.

You’ll be absolutely surprised to learn, I’m sure, that Annie Armstrong has done nothing except blog for assorted publications, including Vice, and has now hit the big time, not by creating something, but by destroying it.

Taxpayers contribute SEK 13.3 million to Islamize Skärholmen in southern Stockholm. It was only the Sweden Democrats who opposed and tried to stop the giant construction. The city’s administrator writes that the mosque project is viewed “positively” as “contributing to a diverse urban environment.”

The new giant mosque is currently under construction at Äspholmsvägen in Skärholmen and will be ready in 2025. The mosque will consist of three floors, an indoor area of 2,500 square meters and two 63-meter high minarets. This is reported by the newspaper Kvartal.

The plans to build the mosque have existed for over fifteen years and over the years the project has been stuck in various municipal bodies. Eight years ago, the project took a positive turn for the Islamists when the city of Stockholm donated the land to the Islamic Foundation in Skärholmen.

But despite the fact that the foundation has close links to the Turkish Islamist movement Milli Görüs, which is strongly established in Germany, several board members are members of the movement, no municipal body has ever asked questions about their activities – for example, the view on democracy and equality or how the construction should be financed.

However, the taxpayers in Stockholm have had to pay for earthworks. On May 12, 2022, Stockholm’s development committee decided to approve expenditures of SEK 13.3 million for the earthworks on the site.

Today, the politicians who made the decision do not want to answer questions about the mosque building or the movement behind it, but instead blame each other and refer to the ground work affecting other parts of the area.

When Kvartal is looking for Emilia Bjuggren (S), who at the time of the decision was vice-chairman of the board, she refers to the Moderates who held the chairmanship.

The committee chairman at the time, Johan Nilsson (M), downplays the approval by saying that it involved the relocation of power lines, footpaths and cycle paths.

“I assume that the development office before the decision in 2013 carried out an examination of the actors who applied for a land right. If the examination would have shown that the actor did not have financial opportunities or was engaged in some type of illegal activity or was convicted of, for example, economic crime, then such an application would reasonably be rejected,” says Johan Nilsson (M) to Kvartal.

Only the Sweden Democrats opposed the project. Anders Edin (SD) stated that he wanted to see the city tear up the land assignment agreement. According to Edin, the mosque project contributes to serious segregation and the consequences risk becoming unmanageable.

“Positive – contributes to a diverse urban environment”

In connection with the development committee in the city hammering through the taxpayers’ 13.3 million kroner for the ground work for the mosque – administrator Britta Eliasson wrote that the city views “positively on the project which contributes to a diverse urban environment”.

Furthermore, she writes that the project is not judged to have “any negative impact on children”. When Eliasson was recently asked how she views the assessment today, she replied that the administration sees the movement as a positive force. This is because the mosque mobilized people to minimize the Muslims’ anger when the Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan held an Islam-critical meeting in Skärholmen.

Want to see Sharia Law

The newspaper writes that it says to read on the mosque’s website that a majority of all Muslims want Sharia law.

“The only principle that is clear and distinct to all Muslims is that sovereignty ultimately belongs to Allah (may His Majesty be exalted), as expressed in the divine law. […] The vast majority of all Muslims, even in the most westernized and modernized countries, would like to live according to the Sharia and have their own freedom and democracy based on their own understanding of these concepts and ideals rather than on how they have been understood in modern times and the postmodern West.”

The Islamist movement behind the mosque building has also received a grant corresponding to SEK 1,659,000 from the Norwegian Agency for Support to Religious Communities (SST) and SEK 1,188,000 from the National Agency for Education.

A mosque in Sweden has been dubbed an “espionage nest” for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and 

a former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps says that mosques in the U.S. are used to plot jihad attacks. 

In the UK, a mosque trustee was convicted of encouraging terrorism. 

In France, a mosque was accused of incitement against Jews, women, and homosexuals.

Lanao del Sur families flee as armed group warns of attack

ILIGAN CITY, Lanao del Norte, Philippines — Hundreds of families from several villages of Marogong town in Lanao del Sur province fled their homes starting on Friday night after an alleged threat of violence by local Islamic State-linked militants.

The warning from the Dawlah Islamiyah (DI) terror group, issued by its leader, Commander Zacariah, was heard over a privately operated two-way radio network, said Police Col. Robert Daculan, Lanao del Sur police director, on Saturday.

The radio network is run by UHF radio owners in the locality, who use the system for emergency responses. Anyone with a radio can hook into the network.

Commander Zacariah, the alias of Fajarudin Pumbaya Pangalian, is the acknowledged amir or leader of DI militants in the country.

The warning circulated on social media on Friday. It came as four DI gunmen from Lanao del Sur, two of whom were minors age 16 and 14 years old, were arrested by members of the government-allied Moro Islamic Liberation Front, upon orders of a certain Commander Delta, and had them turned over to the Philippine Army.

Assault rifles and ammunition were also taken from the DI gunmen who were under the command of a certain Juhari Sandab alias Abu Moraid.

The Army identified those arrested as Muhammad Nasif alias Abu Rasas, 18, the designated media spokesperson of the group; Saudi Macadaag, 18, brother of DI-Lanao subleader Ustadz Allanduni Macadaya Luksadatu or Abu Sham; and the two male minors.

As of 8 p.m. on Saturday, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office counted 259 families who fled from their homes and temporarily settled in the towns of Binidayan (206), Balabagan (45) and Madamba (8)….

June 2 (UPI) -- Mexican investigators discovered 45 bags containing human remains in a ravine near Guadalajara in Jalisco state.

The bodies were discovered in the Mirador del Bosque ravine as police searched for seven call-center employees who went missing in Zapopan last month.

"Personnel from the different areas of the prosecutor's office carry out various operations to locate and search for the young people reported missing," the prosecutor's office said in a press statement Friday. "The investigative police managed to obtain information on the possible location of evidence in an area of difficult access."

The prosecutor's office for Jalisco state said authorities had received a tip about the missing employees, which lead them to the location of the body parts, none of which have been identified as belonging to the missing seven so far.

The prosecutor's office said the search for the missing seven employees is ongoing as teams work to determine how many body parts were left in the ravine and who they belonged to.

"In coordination with elements of the Zapopan Civil Protection and Fire Department, rescue work has been carried out since yesterday afternoon to extract the bags with the evidence," officials said.

Kidnappings in Jalisco are common, as cartels, including the Jalisco New Generation cartel, frequently engage in inter-cartel violence and attacks on civilians.

U.S. officials have called the JNGC "the most technologically advanced, sophisticated, heavily-armed, dangerous, and feared criminal organization in the world."

About 100,000 people have gone missing in Mexico since 1964, with an overwhelming majority of the disappearances happening after 2007.

Mexican police arrest 14-year-old 'El Chapito' for killing eight

Nine people were arrested last weekend, including a 14-year-old boy on accusations of killing eight people in January. 

March 17 (UPI) -- Mexican authorities have arrested a 14-year-old boy nicknamed "El Chapito" after the infamous Mexican drug lord on accusations of being involved in the shooting deaths of eight people.

The nation's Public Safety Department announced the arrest Thursday in a statement.

Authorities said the unidentified boy was one of two people who opened fire on a family celebrating a birthday in the Fundidores neighborhood of Chimalhuacan, a city just northeast of Mexico City, killing eight people and injuring seven others, including a 3-year-old child.

Police said the boy was among nine people arrested during a 12-hour operation between late March 10 and early Saturday in Chimalhuacan and nearby Nezahualcoyotl city.

One other person was charged in connection to the shooting while the rest were charged with drug-related crimes, the department said.

While the adults were taken to the Neza-Bordo Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center, the teenager was placed at the disposal of a specialized control judge in the Comprehensive Criminal Justice System for Adolescents, it said.

"El Chapo," whose real name is Joaquin Guzman, resides in a Colorado prison where he is serving a life sentence after being convicted of numerous chargers in connection to his position as the leader of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel.

It is not wholly uncommon for teenagers to commit such violent crimes in the country. In the early 2010s, a 14-year-old boy nicknamed "El Ponchis" was arrested and charged with being a hitman for a Mexican drug cartel.

What a great country, eh? No wonder everyone wants to leave.

The suspects — four women and three men, with German, Turkish, Moroccan and Kosovo citizenship — were arrested on Wednesday in five German states, while investigators searched 19 properties in Germany and one in the Netherlands….

Prosecutors allege that the suspects were “financial intermediaries” in a network in which two supporters of IS in Syria had sought donations for the group via Telegram since 2020….

During a May 26, 2023 Friday sermon delivered at the Muslim Youth Victoria Islamic Center, Canadian Imam Younus Kathrada said that Allah has commanded the Muslims to hate the disbelievers. He qualified that hating someone does not “indicate violence” against them, saying: “Hatred might lead to violence, but not necessarily.” Kathrada explained: “If I hate broccoli, does it mean that I am going to smash it all up and not allow anybody to eat it?” 

Later in the sermon, he said that the disbelievers live a “life of animals,” fulfilling their “lusts and desires,” while they are unaware of what is going to happen to them in the Hereafter. He compared them to cattle grazing in the pastures, unaware they will end up in the slaughterhouse.

Younus Kathrada: “Yes, Islam, that is, Allah, who legislated Islam for us, has ordered us and commanded us to hate, to reject, and to detest the disbelievers. And here, let me just pause for a second. If I hate broccoli, does it mean that I am going to smash it all up and not allow anybody to eat it?

“When I say I hate something or someone – let’s say that I hate someone – it means I hate them because of something that they stand for, for example. But it does not in any way, shape, or form indicate violence. Hatred is not equivalent to violence. Hatred might lead to violence, but not necessarily.

“From the qualities [of the disbelievers] is that they live a life of animals. They live like beasts – not like human beings. This Allah clarified for us, and this is why we see them exaggerating, going to extremes in fulfilling their desires and their lusts. Nightclubs, drugs, you name it.

“The disbelievers enjoy their lives – ‘enjoy’ in quotation marks – to the fullest, while they are heedless of what is going to happen to them in the Hereafter, just like the cattle, that graze in the pastures, are unaware of the fact that they will probably end up in the slaughterhouse.”

His analogy is frighteningly close to the truth for those who do not know, or who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. This includes Muslims, as well as atheists, etc.

An influencer in Indonesia could go to jail for trying pork on TikTok

In a TikTok clip posted on March 9, Indonesian influencer Lina Luftiawati, who uses the stage name Lina Mukherjee, sits in front of a plate of rice, vegetables, and a slab of crispy pork skin. As a Muslim, Mukherjee’s religion forbids the consumption of pig meat. “Bismillah, I think I will be taken off my family [register] because I’m curious about pork skin,” she says to the camera, giggling, before she tucks in.

One week, 13 million views, and scores of angry comments later, the country’s top Muslim clerical body issued a fatwa — a ruling on Islamic law — against Mukherjee. In its fatwa, the Indonesian Ulema Council said it considered the clip blasphemous. On March 15, a Muslim cleric in South Sumatra filed a police report in Palembang, a city with strong representation from the religious right.

Last week, on May 5, the influencer was officially named a suspect in a blasphemy case. She now faces up to five years’ jail under Indonesia’s blasphemy and hate speech laws….

For her part, Mukherjee apologized for the video and promised to be more mindful of her social media content in the future. “I apologize to the people of Indonesia, because as a public figure I made a mistake. In the future, I will use my social media better [for more] useful [content],” she told local media in early May. Despite religious factions in Palembang lobbying for her to be held in detention, she remains at home while police investigate the case.

A three-year-old Palestinian and his father were shot and injured in a suspected terrorist attack at an IDF post in Judea and Samaria.

The two were in a car when terrorists fired at the post near the settlement of Neveh Tzuf in the Binyamin region.

There were other occupants in the vehicle who were not injured.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and restarted the boy’s heart. He was evacuated to the Tel Hashomer medical center by helicopter in critical condition. Meanwhile, his father, 40, was taken by the Red Crescent for further treatment in a Palestinian hospital.

“We saw the man and baby lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds on their bodies. We immediately began medical treatment, including haemorrhage control and bandaging,” MDA senior EMT Gadi Amiton said.

“Together with the IDF Medical Teams that arrived in scene, we fought for [the toddler’s] life until his heart started beating again. We coordinated a meeting point with the helicopter that landed nearby and it transported the baby to hospital in serious, unstable condition.”

And the reaction of the town’s Mayor was not atypical; he called for more understanding, more tolerance, more of everything good so that coexistence could prevail. Might it just be that “coexistence” with people who consider non-Muslims as Infidels, “the most vile of created beings” while they, as Muslims, are the “best of peoples,” cannot actually be attained?

The individuals overturned candles on the ground, damaged frames and defaced a crucifix. They caused a fire to start. Fortunately, a passerby intervened in time: he was able to stop the flames and contact the emergency services….

It is only by chance that there was a passerby who managed to extinguish the flames. Had he not been there, it is entirely possible that the fire set by the would-be arsonists would have consumed the entire inside of the church.

The mayor of Cugnaux immediately denounced these acts and expressed his solidarity with the Catholic community. “To ensure coexistence in Cugnaux, it is crucial that we collectively oppose hatred and intolerance, by promoting dialogue and understanding between the different religious and cultural communities of our city,” insisted Albert Sanchez, the mayor of Cugnaux. “Diversity is our strength and our pride, so let’s stand together and mobilize so that Cugnaux remains united, resilient and determined to face intolerance and violence.”

The hopeful, naïve Mayor of Cugnaux is whistling in the dark. At this stage in the history of France, with 10% of the population now consisting of Muslim economic migrants, attacks on churches and other Christian sites are a biweekly affair. ‘One religious building is disappearing in France every two weeks.’

That is the conclusion of Edouard de Lamaze, president of the Observatoire du patrimoine religieux (Observatory of Religious Heritage) in Paris.

He is raising the alarm in the French media about the gradual disappearance of religious edifices in a country known as the “eldest daughter of the Church” because the Frankish King Clovis I embraced Catholicism in 496.

Lamaze’s appeal for increased awareness came after a fire destroyed the 16th-century Church of Saint-Pierre in Romilly-la-Puthenaye, Normandy, northern France. The fire, deemed “accidental,” took place on April 15, exactly two years after the blaze that devastated Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Lamaze told CNA in an interview that in addition to one religious building disappearing every two weeks — by demolition, transformation, destruction by fire, or collapse — two-thirds of fires in religious buildings are due to arson.

Who are these arsonists? They are the people who have been raised since infancy to despise Christians and Christianity, who have been taught in their holy book, the Qur’an, to think of themselves, the Muslims, as “the best of peoples,” while Christians are Infidels, “the most vile of created beings.” It would make sense for a devout Muslim to want to destroy religious structures of the infidels, which do nothing but serve to keep people from the “straight path” of Islam.

While these statistics include buildings belonging to all religious groups, most of them concern Catholic monuments, which still represent a large majority in France, where there are roughly 45,000 Catholic places of worship.

Although Catholic monuments are still ahead, one mosque is erected every 15 days in France, while one Christian building is destroyed at the same pace,” Lamaze said. “It creates a tipping point on the territory that should be taken into account.”

Lamaze believes that on average more than two Christian monuments are targeted every day. Two-thirds of these incidents concern theft, while the remaining third involve desecration.

According to the most recent figures from France’s central criminal intelligence unit, 877 attacks on Catholic places of worship were recorded across the country in 2018 alone.

These people who desecrate Christian churches and monuments are impelled by a deep hatred that only Islam inculcates; they may steal whatever is of value in a church, helping themselves to a kind of proleptic jizyah, while attempting in many cases to burn down the structure itself, for what good are churches that inculcate false beliefs and keep their parishioners from the truth of Islam?

Cugnaux is indeed a town where several religious communities coexist: Catholic, Muslim and Buddhist. “These religious communities have always lived well together in Cugnaux,” specifies Albert Sanchez, who says he is surprised and shocked. “This is the first time that we are dealing with this type of act on a religious building.” Father François, for his part, invokes rather “a stupidity of children.”

The Mayor, Albert Sanchez, consoles himself with the thought that the different religious communities in his village have “always lived well together.” But perhaps that was because in the past there were so very few Muslims; they did not feel strong enough to show their real feelings toward Christians. Now there are many more of these Muslim migrants, and they are beginning to flex their muscles. Among them are those who believe that they have a right to destroy the religious buildings belonging to the other, untrue religions. The attempted arson of the church is unlikely to be a one-off; the good Mayor can expect more attacks by Muslims not just on Christian religious sites, but on those of other religions (he mentions Buddhists, who apparently also live in Cugnaux).

Mayor Sanchez is convinced that “to ensure coexistence in Cugnaux, it is crucial that we collectively oppose hatred and intolerance, by promoting dialogue and understanding between the different religious and cultural communities of our city.” Apparently he takes it on faith that Muslims want “dialogue and understanding” with non-Muslims. But when, in the past 1400 years, have Muslims, once they attained a position of dominance, ever wanted “dialogue and understanding” with non-Muslims? They are not interested; the “hatred and intolerance” that Mayor Sanchez deplores is in fact central to Islam; the Qur’an and hadith teach Muslims “not to take Christians or Jews as friends for they are friends only with each other,” and to regard Infidels as “the most vile of created beings.” The Qur’an teaches that Muslims, who are the “best of peoples,” must dominate, and never allow themselves to be dominated by, Infidels. I am sure Mayor Sanchez of Cugnaux knows none of this, but he must learn enough about the texts and teachings of Islam to better protect the people of his village from a threat he still fails to comprehend.

“Diversity is our strength and our pride, so let’s stand together and mobilize so that Cugnaux remains united, resilient and determined to face intolerance and violence.” Also sprach the Mayor of Cugnaux. But his statement is nonsense. In what countries of the world is “diversity” a strength rather than a weakness? It’s simply an idol of the age, this idiotic notion – repeated ad nauseam without any attempt to provide evidence of its truth — that “diversity is strength.” “Diversity” is especially damaging to social cohesion when a considerable number of people in a European country subscribe to the ideology of Islam, a fanatical faith that divides the world between Believers and non-Believers, and teaches Muslims to despise non-Muslims. How can that possibly be a “strength”? Instead, the Mayor of Cugnaux ought to recognize that the people of his village are not “united, resilient, and determined to confront intolerance and violence.” There are plenty of people – Muslims – in his village who are not at all unhappy at the attempt to burn down the church, and whose “intolerance” of, and “violence” toward, non-Muslims is central to their faith.

What could Mayor Sanchez have said instead? He could have noted that the attempted arson of the church “is not a solitary incident, that there have recently been at least two such attacks on churches every week in France, that they appear to have been carried out by Muslims, and so we expect Muslims to take a major role in ferreting out those in their community who have been guilty of such criminal acts. And they should be reporting to the authorities any Islamic preachers spreading hatred toward non-Muslims and praising jihad. Otherwise, all talk about rooting out ‘intolerance’ is so much hot air. As for the oft-expressed bromide that ‘diversity is our strength,’ there is no evidence for the truth of this claim anywhere in the world, but especially in Europe, where the baleful effects of massive Muslim migration are now clear for all to see. As your mayor, still reeling, as you must be, from the attempted arson at the church, I won’t insult you by repeating that bromide about ‘diversity is our strength’ today. I no longer believe it is.”

Half of All New German Citizens are Muslims

This is what national suicide looks like.

Germany saw a 28% increase in the number of people gaining its citizenship last year, with people from Syria accounting for more than a quarter of those who were naturalized, official data showed Tuesday.

Preliminary figures show that about 168,500 people were granted German citizenship in 2022, the Federal Statistical Office said. That was the highest number since 2002.

Of those, 48,300 — or 29% — were Syrian citizens. That was more than double the previous year’s figure and seven times as high as in 2020, as increasing numbers of people who migrated to Germany between 2014 and 2016 fulfill the requirements for citizenship.

Turkish citizens were the second-biggest group of people gaining German citizenship last year — 14,200 of them, a 16% increase compared to 2021, and with an average of more than 24 years living in Germany…

Germany’s socially liberal government plans to ease the rules for obtaining citizenship, reducing to five years from eight the number of years people are supposed to live in the country before gaining a German passport. People with “special integration accomplishments” would be eligible after three years.

A rough calculation pegs the number of new citizens from Muslim countries at around 80,000 or half the 168,500 number of total citizens. This is fairly consistent with the 2021 numbers.

In 2021, roughly 131,600 foreigners became naturalised German citizens. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was an increase of roughly 21,700 naturalisations, or 20%, compared with the previous year. Just over half of the increase is attributable to the large number of naturalisations of Syrians.

The migration crisis didn’t go away with Merkel, if anything it’s worse.

At the end of 2022, roughly 3.08 million people were registered as seeking protection in the Central Register of Foreigners. The number of registered people seeking protection rose by 1.14 million compared with the previous year, according to the Federal Statistical Office…

In 2022, 20.2 million people with a history of immigration were living in Germany. Based on microcensus results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was an increase of 1.2 million, or 6.5%, compared with the previous year (2021: 19.0 million).

Following a rise of 1.3 percentage points, this group of people thus accounted for 24.3% of the population (2021: 23.0%).

For all intents and purposes, there will not be a Germany in a generation. There will be some Russians and Ukrainians and a whole lot of Iraqis, Syrians, and Turks. The former may prove to be less suicidal than the Germans. If so they’ll actually secure their newfound country. But considering their birth rates, the battle will likely be over by then.

A Muslim migrant attacks four police officers in France

He first attacked three municipal police officers who wanted to bring him under control in Passage du Thiou, in the Mandallaz district. They had spotted that the man was carrying an object that they thought was a machete (short sword), but which was in fact a homemade wooden bat. It was with her that the individual struck the three agents of the City of Annecy.

Rostock (Mecklenburg-West Pomerania) – Large-scale police operation in a high-rise building on Henrik-Ibsen-Straße in the Evershagen district of Rostock. There, a 57-year-old Syrian attacked residents and then several police officers with a knife around 12 noon on Tuesday.

“According to initial findings, the man is said to have retired to his apartment,” said a police spokesman to BILD.

Since it could not be ruled out that the 57-year-old was in an exceptional psychological situation, the social psychiatric service was immediately involved in the management of the operation.

A short time later, the man stormed the officers again and again aggressively threatened them with the knife. The suspect did not respond to appeals, police said.

The police asked the man to put down the knife. However, the 57-year-old did not comply with this request, whereupon the officers finally used the firearm and shot the man in the leg and upper body.

The injured man was given first aid by the police officers before the arrival of the rescue workers and then taken to a hospital in an ambulance.

The left-wing today has completely shunned the ideas of liberalism and adopted cultural totalitarianism. Melanie Phillips says it so well and so eloquently. She understands and knows how to explain the nature of the absurdity of cancel culture better than anybody else today. Reason, argument, discussion, and open-mindedness have been tossed out the window.

How did this happen and when did this happen? This was not the norm in the crazy 60’s. In the 70’s and 80’s, this was not the case either. It seems to have begun sometime in the 21st century. The political landscape was very volatile in the 60’s, between McCarthyism still being a force, civil rights marches on Washington, and race riots across the United States. But, there was no cancel culture even after a popular President, a Civil Rights Leader, and Presidential candidate were all assassinated. It was just a very emotionally charged atmosphere.

The Vietnam War pitted masses of youngsters against the leadership of the United States. But, even the opposition to the Vietnam protesters knew that the Vietnam War was not going well. The protesters had a point – even if they were extremists. And the protesters knew that Communism was indeed a threat that needed to be contained – just not via American lives in Vietnam. Each side knew that the other side had legitimate logic backing it up.

But today, young people – in the masses – are flocking towards hard to fathom values that are completely at odds with basic concepts of existence – such as the very existence of genders. And these ideas are not based on respecting the values of others, as anyone who thinks otherwise is repudiated and cancelled as a member of the Dark Ages.

Discussion and difference of opinion are not praised but tossed aside as negative phenomenon. What has really been thrown away is the placing of any concept of truth at the top of a pedestal of priorities. That is why Melanie argues that truth has become a right-wing concept. What a horrible tragedy for mankind.

Can this be reversed? Can the left-wing repudiate the obsessive focus on gender issues and woke concepts of reality? Today it seems hopeless. But the world does not only spin out of control in a negative fashion. Sometimes, concepts that were thought to have been gone from the world come back into fashion.

What is needed on the left is a big dose of some old-fashioned open-minded liberalism. Difference of opinion needs to be embraced. Striving towards truth needs to be a common goal among those who disagree. Recognition that no specific political persuasion can rule over the other needs to be the norm.

Was liberalism ever open-minded? At 75 years of age, I cannot remember a time when it was. 

A Twitter follower asked one time what the difference between left-wing and right-wing was? I answered, "Truth". Truth is something that seems to be related to belief in God. No such belief leaves one with no fear of lying. But 'fear of God' makes one wary of lying. Jesus said, "I am the Truth". If you refuse to believe in Jesus, you have no reason to tell the truth. This blog is dedicated to the truth.

It is indeed a battle over the culture. The culture of basic decency.
