Arsonist Sets Fire to Swedish Mosque, Injuring Five

An arsonist set fire to a mosque in the Swedish town of Eskilstuna on Thursday, injuring five people, police said, an incident which comes amid an intense debate over immigration.

The immigration debate has pitted the far right, which wants to cut the number of asylum seekers allowed into Sweden by 90 percent, against mainstream parties intent on preserving the Nordic country's liberal policy.

Between 15 and 20 people were in the mosque, located in the ground floor of a building in a mainly residential area, when the fire erupted. Local media footage showed smoke and flames billowing from the windows.

"A witness saw somebody throw an object through the window of the building, which serves as a mosque, after which a violent fire began," police spokesman Lars Franzell said.

The five injured people were taken to hospital for treatment of injuries ranging from smoke inhalation to lacerations. No suspect has been apprehended yet, Franzell added.

Fire-bombing a building, especially while people are inside is a horrible, criminal act that cannot be tolerated. However, I suspect that such acts will only increase as more and more Muslims are invited into the country by blind, liberal politicians who cannot see the writing on the wall. Those who can read will just get more and more desperate the longer it goes on.

Pakistani Judge Orders Arrest of Jihadist Imam

A judge in Pakistan has issued an arrest warrant for a cleric at a radical mosque in Islamabad who has refused to condemn the massacre of children at an army-run school.

The cleric said the charge against him was insignificant.

Last week, Taliban fighters attacked the school in Peshawar, killing 152 people, including 133 children.

Mr Aziz said that the authorities should focus on arresting people accused of more serious crimes.

"My case is very small and even a sub-inspector can grant me bail," he said.

The BBC's Anbarasan Ethirajan says that Mr Aziz is well known for his pro-Taliban views.

Earlier this year, a school run by the cleric renamed its library in honour of the former al-Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden.

A spokesman for the Red Mosque said they would resist the arrest of Mr Aziz.

Civil society activists had lodged the complaint against Mr Aziz, saying that they had been threatened by mosque employees during a protest about his refusal to condemn the school massacre.

The demonstrators are also being investigated for holding an unlawful protest.

Pakistan has stepped up its anti-terror operations since the attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar on 16 December.

Earlier this week, the government announced new measures to tackle terrorism, including the establishment of military courts to hear terrorism-related cases.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that there was a "changed Pakistan" since the tragedy and that there would be "no place for terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and intolerance."

That doesn't sound like Pakistan. Watch your back PM Sharif you are messing with centuries of insanity.

Saudis Increase Security at Jeddah Stadium for Fear That a Woman Might Sneak In

Authorities have intensified security around a stadium in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to ensure no woman could sneak in to watch a football match.

Manama, Bahrain: Saudi Arabian authorities have intensified security around a stadium in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to ensure no woman could sneak in to watch a football match.

The much-awaited match between local team Al Ittihad and the Riyadh-based squad of Al Hilal in the Crown Prince Cup competition was a crowd puller, but the authorities wanted to make sure no woman could enter the 60,000-seat Jawhara Stadium at the King Abdullah Sports City.

Security was beefed up at the main gates and spectators had to show their identity cards to be allowed inside, Saudi daily Makkah reported on Wednesday.

The unusual step was taken after a woman was able this month to sneak past stadium guards to watch a match between Al Ittihad and Al Shabab before she was spotted and referred to the police for questioning. Actually, she was arrested, and, I believe, is still in jail.

She told investigators that she was not aware of any ban on women attending games.

The woman, in her 20s, said she did not have any problem buying her ticket online and that she arrived early and chose a place where she would not be in the middle of a crowd.

Police spokesman Atti al-Qurashi said security spotted her at the stadium "deliberately disguised" in male attire to avoid detection, reported the state-linked news website Twasul.

Okaz reported Sunday that police questioned the woman, who is in her twenties, for "impersonating" a man by wearing pants, a long-sleeve top, a hat and sunglasses. Most women in Saudi Arabia cover their hair and face with a veil known as the niqab and all women are required to wear a loose black dress known as the abaya in public.

The paper said the woman has been in police custody since Friday and is being held at a center for girls in the western province of Mecca. No charges have been raised so far.

Ultraconservative Saudi clerics shun female access to exercise and women's teams are not part of the kingdom's federation that oversees sports. Women often struggle to find facilities to train and are not allowed to attend matches in stadiums.

Saudi Arabia has a very strict policy regarding female attendance at sports matches. Permissions are needed to allow foreign women to watch the matches in which their home teams play. There is talk of assigning a section of the stadium for 'families'. This would be a good time for that to happen.

Football is highly popular in the kingdom and fans follow with great interest the British, Italian and Spanish leagues.

The attacks began in Tours on Saturday when a man stabbed three police officers after shouting “God is Great” in Arabic. 

He was eventually shot dead by officers and counter-terrorism officers are investigating.

On Sunday, 13 people were injured in Dijon when a car driver targeted pedestrians in five different parts of the city in the space of half an hour.

He was also heard shouting “God Is Great” in Arabic, before ploughing into pedestrians.

Prosecutors said the attacker had been hospitalised 157 times, stressing that he was mentally ill. Does that make any difference? All Muslim militants are mentally ill!

A third attack, on Monday, in Nantes, saw 10 people injured – including one who is said to be “clinically dead” – when a van was driven into a Christmas market.

A government minister said the attack “seems to be that of an unbalanced mind”. In other words, a jihadist.

Prime Minister Manuel Valls told Europe 1 radio there were no indications the three attacks were linked. You mean other than the fact that two of them were almost identical; two of them shouted 'Allahu Akbar' while they were trying to kill innocent civilians; and all three were Muslims. Other than that, they had nothing in common.

But he noted the rising profiles of French extremists in Syria and said the terrorist threat is higher than ever and that security was being raised.

In a live television address, he said: “Police and Gendarmerie (military police) patrols will be deployed in crowded areas, as at priority malls, centres of towns, train stations and transport networks.

“The number of patrols will be increased during this (Christmas) period.

“Two hundred to 300 soldiers will be deployed in the coming hours.”

ISIS Say Europe will be Conquered; and Plan 'Largest Religious Cleansing Campaign' in History

A spokesman for ISIS has claimed in an interview that it's only a matter of time before the jihadists expand and conquer Europe. He also defended the terror group's practices of mass enslavement and beheadings, and said that it plans to carry out "the largest religious cleansing campaign" in history, which will include the killing of hundreds of millions of people.

"No, we will conquer Europe one day. It is not a question of if we will conquer Europe, just a matter of when that will happen. But it is certain. ... For us, there is no such thing as borders. There are only front lines," the spokesman, identified only as a German ISIS fighter, told journalist Juergen Todenhoefer in an article for CNN.

"Our expansion will be perpetual. ... And the Europeans need to know that when we come, it will not be in a nice way. It will be with our weapons. And those who do not convert to Islam or pay the Islamic tax will be killed."

Are you hearing that, Europe? You are playing right into their hands with your liberal, politically-correct pampering of your very assassins.

ISIS, or the Islamic State as the group is also known, has captured a number of cities across Iraq and Syria, and has become known for beheading prisoners on camera and enslaving religious minorities, including Christians.

The terror group's mission is to establish an Islamic caliphate across the Middle East region, and eventually the world.

"I think the Islamic State is a lot more dangerous than Western leaders realize," the jihadist said. "They believe in what they are fighting for and are preparing the largest religious cleansing campaign the world has ever seen."

Todenhoefer visited the Iraqi city of Mosul, which used to host a large Christian community, before it was taken over by ISIS in June. The jihadists have since imposed Islamic law on the land, forcing people to convert to Islam, pay a tax, or face death.

When asked about Shiite Muslims who don't share the same beliefs as ISIS, the spokesman said that anyone who refuses to convert will be killed.

"150 million, 200 million or 500 million, it does not matter to us," the jihadist said. "We will kill them all."

He also argued that slavery is a sign of "progress," and claimed that the practice also exists among Christians and Jews.

"I would say that slavery is a great help to us and we will continue to have slavery and beheadings, it is part of our religion ... many slaves have converted to Islam and have then been freed."

The ISIS spokesman blamed the beheading of several Western journalists and aid workers, including American James Foley, on the U.S. government.

"[Foley] did not get killed because we started the battle. He got killed because of the ignorance of his government that did not give him any help."

Earlier in December, an ISIS senior leader said in another revealing interview that the terror group was born at the American Camp Bucca prison in southern Iraq 10 years ago.

The official, who chose to identify himself by the name of Abu Ahmed, noted that Bucca, established after the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, provided an "extraordinary opportunity" for the growing number of jihadists imprisoned there.

"We could never have all got together like this in Baghdad, or anywhere else," Ahmed said. "It would have been impossibly dangerous. Here, we were not only safe, but we were only a few hundred metres away from the entire al-Qaeda leadership."

Taliban Leader Responsible for Peshawar School Massacre and Malala Shooting - Dead

Dubai: The leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Mullah Fazlullah, who masterminded the massacre of 148 people including schoolchildren, was reportedly killed in an air strike in Afghanistan on Saturday, Gulf News has learnt.

Calling it a ‘big blow’ that will break the back of “TTP terrorists”, Pakistan officials said Fazlullah was killed during a joint operation by Pakistan army and US-led forces in Afghanistan. However, no official statement was issued on Saturday.

A highly placed source in Islamabad told Gulf News that the news about Fazlullah’s death would soon be made public and his body would also be shown to public.

The joint operation to hunt down Fazlullah was conducted after Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif rushed to Afghanistan on Tuesday — the day of Peshawar school massacre — demanding that the Afghan government take action against TTP’s most-feared leader hiding there.

The army chief shared intelligence details with the Afghan officials which showed Fazlullah giving directives to terrorists from his hideout in Afghanistan. What a concept - working together!

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been informed about the joint operation on Saturday, sources said.

President Mamnoon Hussain said on Saturday said Peshawar tragedy has united the nation and people are now seeking the complete elimination of terrorists to make the country safe.

Fazlullah, nicknamed Radio Mullah for interacting with his militant groups through FM radio, had escaped from Swat when the military flushed out terrorists from the valley during a massive military operation in 2009. He had also claimed responsibility for an assassination attempt on Malala Yousufzai in 2012.
