San Diego: Muslim accused of raising hundreds of thousands for Hamas under pretense of Gaza charity

The Holy Land Foundation, once the largest Islamic charity in the United States, did the same thing. In both cases, the perpetrators likely really believed that giving money to Hamas was in line with the requirements of Islamic charity. Zakat money can be used for jihad, so why shouldn’t Muslims be able to make charitable donations to Hamas? To non-Muslims, this reasoning is monstrous, as it amounts to financing the murders of innocent civilians, but if one believes that Hamas is waging a legitimate jihad against hated infidels, then giving money to it is meritorious.

San Diego man accused of raising hundreds of thousands for Hamas under pretense of Gaza charity

by Jessica Russak-Hoffman, JNS, June 17, 2026:

(June 17, 2026 / JNS) Reda Mazen Rida Sabassi, 38, of San Diego, was arrested on fives [sic] charges for allegedly transferring $116,000 to a Hamas member in Turkey and trying to convert $382,000 into cryptocurrency to deliver to people connected to the terror group, the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday.

Sabassi faces charges of terrorism, sanctions-evasion, wire fraud, money laundering and false statement, and up to 85 years in prison, the department said….

The Justice Department alleges that all in all, Sabassi used online, crowd-sourced charity drives to raise about $600,000 ostensibly for humanitarian aid in Gaza but in fact funneled money to Hamas-related groups and used some of the monies for his personal expenses, including rent and credit card payments.

According to the complaint, Sabassi promoted Hamas online openly, created and shared an hour-long compilation video of the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel and maintained close contact with Gaza Now, a Hamas-linked fundraising organization sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department….

Minnesota: Public school district erases Christmas and Easter holidays, adds Eid al-Adha

Some residents may be fuming, as the headline below says, but many more are thrilled. Mass Somali Muslim migration has altered the demographics of Minnesota forever. The Rochester Public School district is merely recognizing the new realities, and bowing to the fact that Muslim students weren’t coming to school on Eid al-Adha anyway. This is just a symptom of a much larger problem that no one wants to address, and most still dismiss as a “conspiracy theory,” and that problem is Islamization, the Islamization of Minnesota and, eventually, the U.S. as a whole.

Minnesota residents fume after Eid added to official school calendar as Christmas, Easter holidays are erased, replaced with winter, spring breaks

by Avery Hill, Post Millennial, June 18, 2026:

Rochester Public Schools in Minnesota added the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha to its 2027 to 2028 calendar. The move, which was approved in a 4-1 vote, was justified by Superintendent Kent Pekel due to the number of absences on Eid al-Adha.

“When a larger group of students is gone, it can have a very negative impact on instruction,” Pekel told KIMT3. “And it can sometimes, for very reasonable reasons, lead to a teacher deciding not to introduce new content on days when they otherwise might have.”

The outlet reported that Rochester Public Schools serves about 17,500 students. The average number of absences in May 2026 was 1,682, but on Eid al-Adha that number grew to 2,354.

The vote has received pushback, with some concerns focused not on attendance but on the principle behind the move.

“We must be prepared to justify why days like Good Friday, Rosh Hashanah, or Diwali do not meet the same threshold,” Justin Cook, a member of the Rochester School Board, said. “I just do not believe our district should be in the business of drawing these lines.”…

Linda Sarsour: ‘We’re cleaning up Congress’ with growing list of Muslim Representatives and candidates

“They told us that we couldn’t have a Democratic Socialist like Zohran Mamdani as the mayor of New York City. And what they don’t know is that we are people that do not take no for an answer.” So says Linda Sarsour. But who ever told her she couldn’t have Mamdani? No one. She is trying to perpetuate the victimhood myth that powers the left, and give the impression that there are some entrenched, moneyed powers that Mamdani faced down and defeated. In reality, Mamdani represents the real power in New York City and elsewhere around the country. That’s clear from the congressional candidates Sarsour lists off. There will be many more after them, as the left continues to dismiss all opposition to the growth of political Islam in the U.S. as “Islamophobia.” And so there is no resistance to the real power in the country, which Sarsour doesn’t oppose, but rather represents.

Extremist Linda Sarsour At NYC DSA Rally: We’re Cleaning Up Congress; Candidates Standing Unequivocally For A Free Palestine Are Winning Elections Across America; NY State Senate Candidate Aber Kawas: The People In Queens Want A Free Palestine

MEMRI, June 11, 2026:

American extremist Linda Sarsour, executive director of MPower Change, introduced New York State Senate candidate Aber Kawas at a Hasan Piker and New York City Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) slate rally held on June 11, 2026 ahead of the June 23 Democratic primaries….

Kawas said that if elected to the New York State Senate, she would work to pass the Not On Our Dime Act, which she said she had helped develop with Mamdani while he was a member of the State Assembly. She also pledged to stop the “pipelines” of weapons she said are sent from airports in Queens to bomb Iran, Gaza, and Yemen. Concluding her remarks, Kawas said: “The people in Queens, they want a free Palestine.”

Sarsour is the executive director of MPower Change, an American Muslim advocacy and organizing platform. According to its website, MPower Change seeks to empower American Muslims to translate their faith values into local, state, and national policies through grassroots organizing, political education, voter mobilization, and advocacy campaigns.

Linda Sarsour: “They told us that we couldn’t have a Democratic Socialist like Zohran Mamdani as the mayor of New York City. And what they don’t know is that we are people that do not take no for an answer. We’re also watching candidates all across this city – but also across the country – who are standing unequivocally for a free Palestine, winning elections all across this country.

“So not only are we going to clean up New York State with this slate, we’re also cleaning up Congress, from Chris Rabb to Dr. Frederick Haynes III, to Dr. Adam Hamawy, to Darializa, to Claire, and many, many more to come before the August 4th primaries.

[…]

“The first Palestinian-American New York State Senator, Aber Kawas. Free, free Palestine! Free, free Palestine!”

[…]

Aber Kawas: “We are going to pass the Not on Our Dime bill. And that is the bill that I helped write with then-Assemblymember Mamdani. And that is the bill that really was the cornerstone of why people saw consistency and dignity in his race.

[…]

“Lastly, we are going to stop the pipeline of weapons being shipped from our airports, our airports, here in Queens, to bomb people in Iran, in Gaza, in Yemen. No more!

[…]

“And let me tell you something: The people in Queens, they want a free Palestine.”

Of course, Palestine (Gaza) was free in 2005 when Israel withdrew completely. But then Hamas showed up and Gaza was never free again. If Gazans and Lebanese want to be free from bombing, they just have to stop killing Jews. It's that simple.
