The Hamas War > Ghost towns in northern Israel; Red Cross involved in Palestinian "Pay for Slay" program; IDF kill 90 Hamas and arrest 300 more at Shifa Hospital

'A ghost city': Israeli towns left abandoned

as residents flee Hezbollah rockets

In Metula, an Israeli village on the border with Lebanon, rubble fills the streets and damaged houses lie empty and abandoned. It is one of a number of border towns to have been evacuated amid fighting between Israel and Lebanon-based Hezbollah, which has been firing rockets across the border since the outbreak of the war in Gaza. As the exchanges intensify, some fear the outbreak of full-scale war, though others think that might be the only way they will be able to return to their homes.

‘Palestinian’ top dog admits Red Cross directly involved

in Palestinian Authority’s ‘Pay For Slay’ policy

It seems as if the entire world’s “humanitarian” organizations have joined the jihad to destroy the Jewish state.

Red Cross directly involved in PA ‘Pay for Slay’ policy,

Palestinian official admits; ICRC denies

by Ohad Merlin, Jerusalem Post, March 19, 2024:

A document issued by the International Red Cross Committee (ICRC) is essential for terrorists serving time in Israeli prisons in order to receive salaries from the Palestinian Authority (PA) under the policy known as ‘Pay for Slay,’ an expose conducted by watchdog NGO Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reveals, quoting Palestinian officials.

The ICRC claimed in response that such documents are provided around the world as part of their humanitarian activity and denied any involvement in the PA’s stipends….

This issue has been stipulated in PA regulations for many years despite an Israeli law that prohibits “providing incentives for terrorist activity.” Stipends paid by the Palestinian Authority to Palestinian terrorists charged with committing terror attacks against Israelis have been subject to scrutiny for the past several years.

However, PMW has now revealed that one of the actors playing a key role in this process is the Red Cross, which produces the documentation necessary for terrorists to receive their salaries.

Does the Red Cross facilitate payments to prisoners?
The watchdog cites multiple sources stating that the Red Cross is the one carrying out the procedures that facilitate these payments to the terrorist prisoners. One instance shows a senior PA official responsible for the pay-for-slay payments saying on official PA television that, as a result of Israeli obstruction of visits to Palestinian terrorists by the Red Cross, the latter cannot provide them with documents showing they are still in prison, which would be necessary, according to the PA’s law and regulations, for them to receive the payments….

as Shifa operation continues

Israeli special forces are continuing an operation launched early Monday to root out a resurgent Hamas presence at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, so far killing 90 terrorists and interrogating more than 300 in the compound.

More than 160 of the suspects have been transferred to Israel for further questioning, according to the Israel Defense Forces, which is conducting the joint operation along with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).

“Over the past day, the troops have eliminated terrorists and located weapons in the hospital area, while preventing harm to civilians, patients, medical teams and medical equipment,” the IDF said.

According to Palestinian reports, Israeli forces operating in the area of the medical complex on Wednesday arrested Khaled al-Batash, a senior member of Islamic Jihad‘s political wing.

Furthermore, an Israeli Air Force craft on Tuesday struck an operational Hamas terror tunnel shaft after a launch was identified from northern Gazan at the southern Israeli city of Sderot.

Also in northern Gaza, in Jabalia, six terrorists were eliminated in an Israeli strike.

In the central Strip, an IDF sniper killed a terrorist.

Troops continue to be active in southern Gaza, killing two terrorists and attacking “military” sites in Al-Qarara, near Khan Yunis, and striking a terrorist who was loading weapons.
