Islam - Asia > Pakistan's Hilarious Description of the Religion of Peace; Pakistan to Deport over A Million Afghans

Pakistan army chief: ‘Islam is a religion of peace and there is

no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam’

  BY

Pakistan recently saw Muslims set fire to a total of 21 churches and 40 Christian homes on false accusations of Qur’an desecration by two Christian men. Six Christians were also murdered. A cleric stated: “Better to die if you don’t care about Islam.” The Pakistani government encourages the ongoing mob attacks against Christians, while doing all it can to create a false impression internationally that it isn’t the abusive, Islamic supremacist country that it is. Right before the massive anti-Christian rampage last month, Pakistan increased its already harsh punishments for blasphemy, which served to further endorse the persecution of Christians, the main targets of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws.

Christians in Pakistan risk being subjected to mob violence at any time. If a Christian has a dispute with a malicious Muslim neighbor, that neighbor may accuse the Christian of blasphemy, and the Christian’s life is immediately in danger, along with the lives of the whole family and community. This also means that the family can no longer live in peace in their village.

Now, in a slap in the face to already suffering Christians, Pakistan’s Army General Sayed Asim Munir declares that “Islam is a religion of peace and there is no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society.” Munir’s insult to the intelligence of Christians is repugnant, but Christians in that country have no choice but to simply accept his lies in the face of brutal persecution.

Islamic supremacists employ taqiyya (dissimulation) whenever needed to advance their jihad against infidels. Despite how obvious this is, Westerners capitulate to avoid being labelled Islamophobic.” In the process, they turn a blind eye to the human rights abuses and persecution of minorities in Islamic states. Sharia-adherent Muslims are only tolerant to those who bow to the Sharia, which means they are not tolerant at all. All across the globe, it can be seen that infidels are either murdered, brutalized in any number of ways, threatened, or smeared for what is deemed to be “hurtful” to Muslims or regarded as “blasphemous.”

No space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society: Pak Army chief Gen Munir

Deccan Herald, September 25, 2023:

Pakistan’s powerful Army chief General Asim Munir said on Monday that there is no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society as he met members of the minority Christian community and lauded their services for the welfare and defence of the country.

His comments assume significance in the backdrop of the ‘Jaranwala incident’ where a mob vandalised 22 churches and set scores of Christian houses on fire over allegations of blasphemy. There were no casualties but it was one of the most destructive attacks on Christians in the Muslim-majority country.

“Islam is a religion of peace and there is no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society. No one can be allowed to take law in his own hands in a civilised society,” Gen Munir said during an interaction with a 14-member Christian community delegation led by Dr Azad Marshall — Moderator and President Bishops (Church of Pakistan and Bishop of Raiwind) at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

The trick here is in the phrase "in a civilised society". Pakistan is anything but a civilised society and yet it is almost certainly the most Islamic country in the world.

The army said in a statement that during the meeting matters of mutual interest, religious and inter-faith harmony were discussed.

Gen Munir ‘lauded the contributions of the Pakistani Christian Community in national development, including promotion of quality education, healthcare and philanthropic services and the outstanding role played by them for the defence of the motherland.’

He also expressed deep respect for Christian community and stressed upon the need for promoting greater interfaith harmony in society in order to follow Pakistan’s founder M A Jinnah’s true vision of a united and progressive Pakistan.

The delegation acknowledged Pakistan Army’s efforts in combating terrorism and providing a secure environment to the minorities in the country, and appreciated the Army chief’s gesture as an inspiration for Pakistani minorities to take greater and more active part in nation building and in restoring their faith in a cohesive and tolerant society, according to the statement.

Authorities have so far restored nine churches out of 22 burnt down by the violent mob over blasphemy allegations…

Pakistan to deport over 1,100,000 Afghan refugees

No one calls Pakistan “Islamophobic” for its imminent plan to deport “over 1.1 million Afghan nationals living illegally in the country” back to Afghanistan. That would be absurd, considering the fact that Afghans are Muslims also; more importantly, the reason given by Pakistan for deporting Afghans is terrorism, a factor that Western countries completely dismiss in protecting their citizens.

The case highlights a contrast with Joe Biden, who doesn’t care who enters the U.S. or under what conditions — jihad terrorists and organized criminals included. He continues to leave the Southern border completely open to illegals, and add in the fact that over 97,000 unvetted Afghans have arrived in America since the Afghan government collapsed two years ago. Unlike Joe Biden, Pakistan, a terror haven itself, is concerned about terrorism being imported from Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Saudi forces fired guns and  explosive weapons, killing hundreds of Ethiopian refugees at the Yemen border. Turkey did the same to Syrian refugees in 2016, repeated the action in 2018, and then fortified over 600 miles of its land border with walls to keep out Afghan refugees.

Pakistan greenlights plan to deport over 1 million Afghans

WIONews, September 26, 2023:

The caretaker government in Pakistan is planning to repatriate over 1.1 million Afghan nationals living illegally in the country back to Afghanistan, sources have told WION. The caretaker cabinet on Tuesday (Sep 26) approved the move. The meeting of caretaker cabinet was held in Pakistani capital Islamabad.

Pakistan shares a border with Afghanistan but it is largely porous with no impediment to movement of people between the two sides. The terror elements from Afghanistan have often crossed border into Pakistan and maintained their presence in regions which have, over the years, come to be known as terrorist havens.

The latest decision by the caretaker cabinet has come in the wake of influx of around 600,000 Afghans into Pakistan after the United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan. About 400,000 of these are residing in Pakistan illegally.
