Islam - Current Day > Islamic Hysteria destroys Christian homes and churches in Pakistan; UK - Turkey immigrant deal

Pakistan: Christian accused of blaspheming Qur’an,

Muslim mob ransacks and burns churches and Christian homes

Just the accusation is enough. No proof is needed. This is what would be happening in Sweden and Denmark these days if there were sufficient numbers present to form such mobs.

“Pakistan: Mob Attacks, Vandalise Churches Over Blasphemy Allegations In Faisalabad; Visuals Surface,” Free Press Journal, August 16, 2023:

Lahore, August 16: Several churches were vandalised in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Wednesday over blasphemy allegations, officials said. The Salvation Army Church, United Presbyterian Church, Allied Foundation Church and Shehroonwala Church situated in the Isa Nagri area in the Jaranwala district of Faisalabad were ransacked, Imran Bhatti, the pastor of the Jaranwala tehsil, was quoted as saying by Dawn.com.

Bhatti added that the house of a Christian cleaner, who was accused of blasphemy, was also demolished. Punjab police chief Usman Anwar said the police were negotiating with the protesters and the area had been cordoned off.

“There are narrow lanes (in the area) in which small two to three marla churches are located and there is one main church … they have vandalised portions of the churches,” Anwar was quoted as saying by Dawn.com.

The official said that efforts were underway to contain the situation by engaging with peace committees and police across the province were activated. “The assistant commissioner of the area, a member of the Christian community, has also been evacuated after people turned against him,” Anwar added. However, Christian leaders alleged that the police remained silent spectators.

President Bishop of the Church of Pakistan Azad Marshall said that “Bibles have been desecrated and Christians have been tortured and harassed having been falsely accused of violating the Holy Quran”….

Former senator Afrasiab Khattak condemned the incident and demanded that the culprits should be brought to book.

“Pakistani state has failed to provide security to the worship places of people who follow religions other than Islam. Impunity to the crimes committed in the name of religion has emboldened extremists and terrorists,” he added….

Turkey and UK sign deal to tackle flow of illegal migrants

Many UK military families have no heat or hot water, while the government continues to host illegal migrants in plush hotels, at the cost to taxpayers of $8.5 million USD a day and rising. The UK is apparently running out of options. Britain is reportedly bracing for over 1,000,000 migrants this year. The latest effort of the British government to do something about this, or appear to do something about it, is a deal with Turkey to stop illegals, although even critics in Turkey are complaining about it. Turkish opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu said: “No matter how much it is packed with fancy words, it is someone else’s intervention in our internal system. Who is governing Turkey?”

One could ask the opposite question: who is looking out for Britain’s interests? This is a more pertinent question, especially in light of the fact that the deal will likely end up benefiting Turkey and not the UK, which has made many attempts to stop the flow of illegal (mostly Muslim) migrants into the country via the English Channel. All of these attempts have failed.

In June, the Guardian reported that Britain handed over more than £3m (3.8 million USD) to Turkey to help the Turks build border forces, so as to stop illegals reaching the UK. And that wasn’t all that British taxpayers forked over to Turkey. In 2019, “£14,000 was given to Turkish police and coastguard for maritime border security training… That figure rose to £425,000 in 2021-22 for training and equipment and up to £3m this year for ‘return and reintegration assistance.’”

Last year, the UK government paid tens of millions of pounds to France to stop boat migrants, adding to hundreds of millions that have been paid since 2015. Then it was discovered that the French navy was escorting illegal Muslim migrants across the English Channel. Then there was the money, time and resources that went into the failed Rwanda migrant resettlement scheme. Britain has made it lucrative for foreign countries to benefit from the migrant invasion of Britain. And the chief beneficiaries are the migrants themselves.

The deal with Turkey appears to be yet another failed, costly promise by the UK government to stop illegals, and to make it look as if efforts were being made. How about setting up blockades, border fences, security forces and even use the military to stop the breach of the UK’s borders?

Not only is the economic cost to British taxpayers unsustainable, but national security is increasingly threatened.

Turkish Opposition Criticises Deal to Tackle Flow of Migrants to Britain

by Hamdi Firat Buyuk, Balkan Insight, August 11, 2023:

Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party, CHP leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu on Thursday described the new deal between the Turkish and British governments to curb illegal migration to the UK as “seriously problematic”.

“No matter how much it is packed with fancy words, it is someone else’s intervention in our internal system. Who is governing Turkey?” Kilicdaroglu asked.

The migration deal announced by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak aims to cut migrant flows from Turkey, which has become one of the major transit points for migrants and refugees.

Sunak has repeatedly vowed to reduce the number of migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats from France to reach the UK, which has become a major political issue in Britain.

“Today, we’ve secured a new agreement with Turkey to: Disrupt small boat supply chains; tackle organised immigration crime; increase intelligence sharing,” Sunak wrote on Twitter on August 9.

British Home Secretary Suella Braverman said that Ankara and London will conduct joint police and intelligence operations in Turkey aiming “to smash the people-smuggling gangs and stop boats”.

However, the Turkish government has so far said nothing about the deal announced by Sunak…..
