Former US prof linked to jihad groups: ‘Palestinian cause

not about creating a state,’ but about destroying Israel

AUG 4, 2023 5:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER

Al-Arian is a former darling of the U.S. media, until his ties to jihad terror groups got him deported and all the fawning coverage he had received from establishment “journalists” took on a sinister light. Now he is speaking honestly, however, about the “Palestinian” jihad, which is not now and never has been about creating a “Palestinian” state. The “Palestinian” nationality was only invented in the 1960s as a weapon against Israel. Read all about it in The Palestinian Delusion.

Turkey-Based Academic Sami Al-Arian: Afghans, Iraqis, and Others Have Suffered More Than

the Palestinians; Our Cause Is Not to Establish a Palestinian State but to Dismantle Israel

MEMRI, July 30, 2023:

Turkey-based Kuwaiti-Palestinian academic Sami Al-Arian said in a July 30, 2023 interview on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) that the Palesitian [sic] cause is not about establishing a Palestinian state, but rather about dismantling Israel and uprooting Zionism from the region.
He said that foreign influence does not allow democracy to take hold in the region and that the “greatest blow” to this foreign influence would be to “dismantle” the State of Israel. Al-Arian said that Israel seeks to keep the entire region divided and subjugated and that whoever dismantles Israel will get to decide what will come next. He added that this would also save Judaism because “Zionism has changed the meaning of Judaism”, and it is important to keep the Jews religious “rather than aggressors.”

He seems to ignore that the disunity, the proxy wars of the middle east, are along the lines of Sunni and Shi'a Islam. They don't need Israel to stir up descent among the various factions of Islam, it comes naturally to all Arabs.

Genesis 16:12 - "He will be a wild donkey of a man, and his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him; he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

Sami Al-Arian, a former professor at the University of South Florida, was a political activist in the U.S. and was invited to the White House several times during both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush’s administrations. In 2015. Al-Arian was deported to Turkey following criminal proceedings involving links to Palestinian terror groups.

How the BBC Covered a Palestinian Terror Attack

Late on August 6, the BBC News website published a report by the Jerusalem bureau’s Yolande Knell about a counter-terrorism operation that had taken place several hours earlier.

During that operation, three wanted terrorists on their way from Jenin to carry out a shooting attack against Israeli civilians near Mevo Dotan were shot dead. Nevertheless, the portrayal of that incident on the BBC News website’s Middle East page was a deliberate distortion of the truth. More on this journalistic travesty can be found here: “Over 24 Hours Late and Just 37 Words: BBC News ‘Reports’ Tel Aviv Terror Attack,” by Hadar Sela, CAMERA UK, August 8, 2023:

The headline to the report itself likewise failed to mention the word terrorists and instead merely informed readers that “Israeli security forces kill three Palestinians in West Bank”.

Knell’s portrayal of that incident read as follows: [emphasis added]

“Israeli security forces say they have killed three alleged Palestinian militants in the north of the occupied West Bank, near the Jenin refugee camp. […]

These were not “militants,” but terrorists; nor were they merely “alleged” terrorists — all three were recognized by Palestinian terror groups as their members; when the IDF encountered them, they were armed with an automatic rifle and were headed toward an Israeli settlement.

In a statement, the army said the group was heading to carry out an attack and that an automatic rifle was found in their car.”

Two hours later Knell found it appropriate to add uncritical amplification of the talking points of a Palestinian Authority official and two UK designated terrorist organisations to her article. Notably, she made no effort to put their descriptions of the elimination of wanted armed terrorists en route to an attack against civilians as “crimes” and “terrorism” into their appropriate and accurate perspective.

“After the killing of three Palestinians on Sunday, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said: “These horrific crimes in Jenin would not have taken place had the perpetrators not felt safe from punishment.”

Knell’s account uncritically accepts Shtayyeh’s characterization of the IDF attacks, both on the Jenin camp against the PIJ, and on the three terrorists en route to carrying out an attack on civilians, as “crimes.”

Palestinian armed groups condemned the killings, vowing for revenge.

“The enemy, which assassinated three of our Palestinian people, will not escape paying the price of its crimes,” said a spokesperson for Hamas who rules Gaza.

The Islamic Jihad, which has members in Gaza and the West Bank, said: “The enemy will realise that its foolishness and terrorism will be met by a strong response from the resistance.””

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad does indeed have “members in Gaza and the West Bank” and in fact it claimed two of the three people Knell chose to describe merely as “alleged Palestinian militants”. The three terrorists were:

Naif Abu Suias (or Souis/Sweis), aged 26, who was claimed by the PIJ and was apparently the leader of the cell

Lu’ayy Abu Na’asa who was also claimed by both the PIJ and Fatah’s Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades

Baraa Ahmed Qurum (or Karem), aged 15, who was claimed by Fatah’s Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades.

It was the Palestinian terror groups themselves that claimed the three Palestinians killed by the IDF while on their way to attack Israeli civilians as their members — the leader of the group belonged to the PIJ, the second belonged both to the PIJ and to Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, and the third, still a teenager, also belonged to Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. Yolande Knell ignored their terrorist affiliations — proudly admitted to by PIJ and Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade — and described them only as “alleged militants.”

Despite having amplified the messaging of Hamas and the PIJ, Knell failed to inform her readers that the Israeli security forces’ statement on the incident noted that Suias was a “prominent military operative… who was involved in military activity against our forces and in advancing military activity directed by terror elements from the Gaza Strip.” [emphasis added]

Readers of the second version of Knell’s report also found a brief two-and-a-half sentence reference to a fatal terror attack in Tel Aviv on August 5th which had not previously received any BBC News website coverage whatsoever:

Here was Knell’s laconic initial description of the terror attack in Tel Aviv:

“…an Israeli security guard was killed in an attack in Tel Aviv.” […]

“The killings came the day after a Palestinian gunman fatally shot an Israeli security guard in Tel Aviv. Another guard shot and killed the attacker.”

BBC audiences were not informed that the victim of that attack – Chen Amir – was a civilian municipal employee and the father of three small girls. Neither did Knell bother to inform readers that the terrorist who carried out that attack was a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad from Jenin.

Knell did not see fit to give any details about the Israeli who was killed that might have brought home to readers the reality of his loss. She failed to provide his name, his age, or the fact that he was a civilian employee who risked his life in approaching the killers, or that he was the father of three small girls. No attempt was made to humanize him; he was simply an unidentified “security guard..killed in an attack.”

Australia to officially resume use of term ‘Occupied Palestinian Territories’

by Daniel Hurst and Josh Butler, Guardian, August 8, 2023:

The Australian government will reinstate the term “Occupied Palestinian Territories”, vowing to strengthen its objections to “illegal” Israeli settlements before next week’s Labor party national conference.

PM Anthony Albanese

The move sparked claims from the Coalition opposition that “the faceless men and women of the Labor party” were dictating foreign policy, but the government maintained it was acting in line with Australia’s key allies.

Some delegates at the Labor national conference in Brisbane are expected to agitate for the party to take a stronger position and commit to a timeframe to recognise Palestinian statehood.

The government has given no indication it is ready to go that far, but has signalled a return to more forthright language about the occupation.

The foreign affairs minister, Penny Wong, outlined the position to Labor MPs and senators at Parliament House on Tuesday. In a sign of internal concerns, it was the second time members of caucus have raised questions about Israel in two weeks.

Wong later told the Senate the Australian government was “gravely concerned about alarming trends that are significantly reducing the prospects of peace”.

“The Australian government is strengthening its opposition to settlements by affirming they are illegal under international law and a significant obstacle to peace,” she said….

Washington Post publishes puff piece on ‘Palestinian’ jihad terror group

AUG 9, 2023 5:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER

Of course it did. What would have been surprising would have been if the WaPo had published a puff piece about foes of jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women.

WaPo takes heat for ‘shameful’ puff piece on Palestinian terror group:

‘They can’t help themselves,'

by Yael Halon, Fox News, August 8, 2023:

The Washington Post came under fire Monday for publishing what critics called a fawning puff piece about a Palestinian terror cell in the West Bank. The outlet was accused of “legitimizing” the terrorist group with sympathetic reporting driven by an alleged anti-Israel bias at the paper.

In the story, headlined “‘Tomorrow’s martyrs’: Inside a Palestinian militant cell in the West Bank,” Washington Post reporter Steve Hendrix detailed his experience embedding with the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, which has been designated a terrorist group by the United States and Israel. Hendrix, joined by photographer Lorenzo Tugnoli, followed the group’s every move for three days, describing in great detail the meals and daily activities of the militants and their leader “Zoufi.”

The experience, writes Hendrix, “afforded a rare window into the lives and actions of fighters on one side of the worst violence to grip the West Bank in decades.”

“In the daylight hours, the men rested out of the sun and watched TikTok videos, many of them showing the funerals of militants killed in recent Israeli raids,” Hendrix writes. “…Most of the fighters said they are focused on defense, shooting back at Israeli forces that enter the camps. But several said Jewish settlers in the West Bank also are considered fair targets.”

The story, which features photos of Palestinian children at the graves of their “fighter” relatives and heavily armed terrorists, recounts the “grim and growing” death toll of Palestinians at the hands of “Israeli military raids” like the recent Jenin operation, which resulted in the death of one Israeli soldier and 12 Palestinians. The operation targeted “the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for all terror activities emanating from the Gaza Strip,” Israeli leaders said. Jenin has been a hotbed of Palestinian terrorist activity for months, with Iranian-backed militants using it as a base from which to carry out attacks in Israel.

Hendrix said Israel’s raids and ongoing mayhem in the West Bank leaves fighters like Zoufi feeling compelled to take up arms, filling several paragraphs about the terror leader with details of his upbringing and earlier life….

Militants spoke “admiringly of gunmen who ambushed Israeli civilians, including an attack last year outside a Tel Aviv pub that killed three civilian Israelis and a mass shooting at a West Bank gas station that left four Israelis dead in June. They spoke of a secret ‘quick response’ team — ‘Even we don’t know who they are,’… two of whom carried out the gas station shooting,” the WaPo report reads….

“Leftist American newspapers despise Israel so much that they can’t help themselves from giving sympathetic coverage to suicide bombers and terrorists under the guise of ‘showing both sides,'” Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., wrote.

Now, how about if Mr Hendrix, for his next trick, embeds himself in a settler family, or an IDF squad?

Germany: Muslim Arabs beat Israeli tourist, establishment media

covers up identity of perpetrators

AUG 9, 2023 4:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER

Instead of concealing this, German newspapers should be examining it and discussing the motivating ideology behind this hatred. But like the entire Western intelligentsia, they have chosen the path of civilizational suicide.

Berlin: Israeli tourist beaten up by Arabs – mainstream media naturally

cover up the perpetrator’s origin

Translated from “Berlin: Israelischer Tourist von Araber zusammengeschlagen – Mainstream-Medien vertuschen natürlich Täterherkunft,”

Unser Mitteleuropa, August 7, 2023

Yesterday and today the German media reported on a brutal attack on an Israeli tourist in Berlin. The victim of this colorful enrichment should have been told beforehand that as a Jew in Berlin Kreuzberg, it is better not to identify yourself as such, and rather refrain from making loud phone calls in Hebrew.

The young Israeli couldn’t have known that, and that’s how the confrontation with three Arabs ended in the hospital. Accordingly, only BILD reported objectively that it was three Arabs who beat up the 19-year-old and kicked him who was lying on the ground.

Of course, the incident does not fit into the image that one is constantly being led to believe: the evil German right-wing extremist anti-Semite is constantly threatening Jews, while the Arab migrant is inherently noble and good. And the reporting in most mainstream media then looks accordingly – the perpetrator’s origin is covered up. But that’s not all: they try to “somehow” question the motive for the crime, in this case hatred of Jews. It then reads like this:

“… possible anti-Semitic background”

“… The man informed the police from the rescue center of a hospital. State security has started investigations into dangerous bodily harm with a possible anti-Semitic background,” rbb24 informs us. (editor’s emphasis)

On faz.net, the origin of the perpetrators is also not known, and the information is thus: “… A 19-year-old tourist from Israel has filed a complaint against three men who are said to have attacked and knocked him out in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Investigators are looking into an anti-Semitic background.”

The Berliner Zeitung writes:

A dangerous physical injury occurred in Kreuzberg. The motive may have been anti-Semitism – the state security agency is investigating. That sounds like: it is not known why the Israeli was beaten up, but “possibly” there was an anti-Semitic background. Well, who would have thought that, it doesn’t exist.

The left-leaning Süddeutsche Zeitung provides us with a particularly cunning act of framing, i.e. by changing the frame of reference and point of reference: Of course, there is nothing about the origin of the perpetrator either, but there is a link in the online edition right after the end of the article including a photo, where the anti-Semitism of the Nazis is reported. So under the motto: You shouldn’t get bad thoughts, distracted by incidents like in Berlin, but always be reminded of who the real perpetrators are, right!

The Jews in the Qur’an are called the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).
