“In 2018, Al-Azhari was released from prison in Saudi Arabia following a conviction and sentence for supporting terrorism in Syria, after which he was removed to the United States.”

“Removed to the United States.” The “Justice” Department doesn’t dare to say it straight out, but clearly he was deported from Saudi Arabia, and we happily took him in, secure in the knowledge that only greasy Islamophobes think that convicted terrorists might try to wage jihad terror again.

Judge Sentences Florida Man to 18 Years in Prison for Attempting to Provide

Material Support to ISIS

Department of Justice, July 13, 2023:

WASHINGTON – Muhammed Momtaz Al-Azhari, 26, of Tampa, Florida, was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

According to court documents, Al-Azhari pleaded guilty to the charge in February 2023. Al-Azhari is a United States citizen who spent most of his life abroad and came to embrace dogmatic, Islamist/Salafist beliefs. In 2018, Al-Azhari was released from prison in Saudi Arabia following a conviction and sentence for supporting terrorism in Syria, after which he was removed to the United States.

Upon Al-Azhari’s arrival to the United States in or around December 2018, the FBI began investigating him for potentially providing material support to ISIS, which, at all relevant times, was designated as a foreign terrorist organization under federal law. In or around April 2020, Al-Azhari began to plan to carry out an attack in support of ISIS. Around the same time, Al-Azhari began to acquire multiple firearms. Al-Azhari also researched and scouted potential locations for an attack in the Tampa Bay area.

Since at least May 2019, Al-Azhari also consumed ISIS propaganda and spoke favorably about ISIS, to which he eventually pledged his allegiance through a bay’ah (an Islamic oath of allegiance). Furthermore, Al-Azhari spoke about avenging the United States’ imprisonment of Muslims, including ISIS fighters, and the United States’ military actions in the Middle East. In addition, Al-Azhari rehearsed parts of his plans, including practicing statements that he would make during or in connection with, his intention to support ISIS.

Al-Azhari had multiple, recorded interactions with an FBI undercover employee and a confidential human source (CHS) in April and May 2020. Al-Azhari was in the process of trying to buy guns from the undercover employee, including a fully automatic rifle, when he was arrested on state charges for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. After his release from state custody, Al-Azhari continued to try to buy firearms from the UCE. Al-Azhari also met with the CHS, attempted to “convert” the CHS to Islam, and Al-Azhari confided in the CHS about Al-Azhari’s affiliation with ISIS and his plans to provide material support to ISIS, as well as to send money to ISIS. Al-Azhari also recruited the CHS to help him in connection with his plans in support of ISIS, as well as robberies, and he asked the CHS to obtain a Glock pistol and an unregistered silencer. Agents arrested Al-Azhari when he took possession of the gun and silencer on May 24, 2020….

Roadside Bomb Kills 8 Family Members In Somalia: Mayor

Agence France Presse, July 10, 2023:

A roadside bombing blamed on the jihadist group Al-Shabaab killed eight members of an extended family in central Somalia, a local mayor said on Monday.

The blast occurred late Sunday near a village outside https://www.barrons.com/news/roadside-bomb-kills-8-family-members-in-somalia-mayor-704ef3c?refsec=topics_afp-news, which lies about 220 kilometres (136 miles) north of Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.

“Eight innocent civilians were killed from the same family, among them a woman,” Sadam Abdi Idow, the mayor of Buloburde, told reporters.

“Al-Shabaab terrorists planted the mine after they were defeated in ongoing military operations in the region. These terrorists have no regard for civilians.”…

Of course not! What Muslim terrorist has any regard for civilians?

“The terrorists were defeated during this armed confrontation… and they took their revenge on civilians. They planted a landmine along the main road used by civilians,” Ahmed Ali, a Somali military commander, said by phone.

Despite Ongoing Terror Alerts, Nigerian Authorities Stand By

as 35 Plateau Residents are Slain

by Masara Kim, Truth Nigeria, July 11, 2023:

JOS—Indigenous Christian farmers in Plateau State, Nigeria, face a grim choice: stay home and starve, or risk farming and dying, amidst a lush forest savannah.

Nigerians protest the genocide, but it makes no difference

Just yesterday, two women were shot dead while returning from their farm 30 miles southwest of Jos, in central Nigeria’s Plateau State. The tragic incident happened shortly before sunset on July 10. This attack in the eastern part of Riyom county happened only hours after the burial of eight residents, who were killed the previous day, in a nearby village just 5 miles away.

These victims are the latest casualties in a string of assaults on local Christian villages that have claimed at least 35 lives since Truth Nigeria issued an early warning of impending attacks in the region on July 4. Within hours of the alert being published, one person was killed in western Riyom County, and in the following days, more victims fell in the surrounding areas. These accounts were reported to Truth Nigeria by witnesses of the attacks.

The attacks are attributed to Islamic terrorists, members of the Fulani ethnicity. The violence has been ongoing in the region since May 16, taking the lives of over 350 residents, according to international monitoring group Intersociety.

The Fulani, one of Africa’s largest tribes, known for their cattle-herding skills, claim up to 10 million members in Nigeria. A radicalized faction of the Fulani people has been accused of killing three times more Christians than the insurgency known as Boko Haram in recent years. According to Intersociety, this year alone, Fulani militants have jointly killed more than 2,500 Nigerian Christians, including at least 500 in Plateau State.

The reason for the continual assaults? The attacks in Mangu are primarily aimed at land seizure and ethnic displacements, says Plateau State legislator Bala Fwanje, who also accuses the military of indifference. “More than 50 of our communities in Mangu County have been displaced in the past two months. Our people can no longer go to their farms or homes, and yet nothing is being done,” he told Truth Nigeria.

Warnings of impending attacks have largely been ignored by Operation Safe Haven, a sizable military task force stationed throughout the state.

The two women slain on July 10 were in their mid-40s, according to local community leader and attorney, Dalyop Solomon. They were gunned down by terrorists hiding behind tall trees, near their village of Rim, Solomon said….
