Building a Sharia paradise through terror. And why not? Muhammad is depicted in a hadith as having said: “I have been made victorious through terror” (Bukhari 4:52.220).

Taliban puts a bounty on Afghan Christians

Mission Network News, April 3, 2023:

Afghanistan (MNN)Famine fears loom in Afghanistan. Multibillion-dollar aid packages have kept 20 million Afghans alive – roughly half of the population – since the Taliban took over. Now, aid groups are cutting funding.

Plus, “there is limited affordability for people to buy good fuels to heat their homes,” Transform Iran’s Lana Silk says.

“[Afghans are] burning anything they can – plastic, anything – to create some warmth. This is causing air pollution, and we have the risk of disease.”

Hunger and disease aren’t the only concerns. “The threat on their (believers’) lives is ongoing,” Silk says.

“The Taliban are offering money for Afghans to turn in any Christians they know. And Afghans are desperate, further heightening the security risk [to] Christians.”…

“There are secret prayer meetings and teaching sessions; people are giving each other encouragement and hope. They are reaching out and evangelizing the lost around them, which is incredibly courageous, considering the implications,” Silk says….

DRC: UN says more than 30 killed in new ADF attacks

Africa News, April 7, 2023:

The United Nations said on Thursday that more than 30 people had been killed in new killings attributed to the ADF, a rebel group affiliated with the Islamic State group, in Ituri in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo on April 2 and 3.

In his last quarterly report, published on 27 March, the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, had put at 485 the number of civilians killed between 1 December and 14 March in this province plagued by violence from several armed groups, including the ADF (Allied Democratic Forces).

It was then alarmed by a “sharp rise” in violence in the eastern provinces of the DRC.

In a statement issued on Thursday evening, the UN mission in the DRC (Monusco) said it had received reports of killings attributed to the ADF “on 2 and 3 April at the border between the territory of Mambasa and Irumu”….

The ADF are originally predominantly Muslim Ugandan rebels who have been operating since the mid-1990s in eastern DRC, where they are accused of massacring thousands of civilians.

They pledged allegiance in 2019 to the Islamic State group, which portrays them as its branch in Central Africa.

BBC News, April 7, 2023

An Italian tourist has been killed and seven other people injured in a suspected car-ramming attack near a beach in Tel Aviv, Israeli medics say.

Italy’s foreign minister said Israel had identified the man killed as Italian citizen Alessandro Parini, 36.

A doctor told Israeli television the wounded included three British nationals and one other Italian.

Footage from the scene showed an overturned car near a promenade and an Israeli police officer opening fire.

Local police said the suspected attacker was shot dead by officers.

Police have named him as Yousef Abu Jaber from Kafr Qasim, an Israeli-Arab city.

The attack came after two British-Israeli sisters were killed and their mother injured in a shooting in the occupied West Bank earlier on Friday.

Police in Tel Aviv said at 21:25 local time (19:25 BST) a 45-year-old man drove a Kia car along the city’s beachside boardwalk, hitting several pedestrians before overturning on the lawn of the Charles Clore Garden.

They said a police officer at a nearby petrol station heard the commotion and, after running to the scene, saw the driver of the car “trying to reach for what looked like a rifle-like object that was with him” and then “neutralised him”.

The Israeli ambulance service said that, aside from the alleged perpetrator, there were a total of eight casualties from the attack and that all were tourists.

Of those wounded, three suffered moderate injuries and four sustained only light injuries, it said….
