An eight-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem on Friday, died in hospital after succumbing to his injuries, the Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center said on Saturday.

Asher Menachem Fali, whose six-year-old brother Yaakov Yisrael was killed in the attack, was brought to the hospital in critical condition and trauma teams fought for hours in an attempt to save his life.

The boys’ ten-year-old brother and father were both moderately injured in the attack.

20-year-old yeshiva student, Shlomo Lederman, also died in the attack.

The terrorist, identified as Hossein Karaka, a 31-year-old resident of the Isawiya neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem, rammed his car into a group of pedestrians at a bus stop on Golda Meir Boulevard near the Nebi Samuel National Park (Tomb of Samuel) adjacent to the Ramot neighborhood.

An off-duty police officer shot and killed the terrorist.

Karaka’s Facebook account was said to be full of posts praising Palestinian terrorists as well as terrorists from the Lebanese Hamas terror group.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to demolish Karaka’s home. “Our answer to terrorism is to strike it with all our might and entrench our grip on our country even more,” he said.

United Hatzalah rescue mission left Turkey early and returned to Israel on plane donated by philanthropist Miriam Adelson.

Due to a significant security threat on the Israeli rescue and relief mission in Turkey, the United Hatzalah rescue mission left the country on Sunday.

Following a joint situational assessment with the heads of the IDF Home Front Command and Search and Rescue Units on Saturday night, United Hatzalah CEO Eli Pollack and Vice President of Operations Dov Maisel instructed Major (res.) Yossi Cohen, head of the organization’s rescue mission, to end the mission and return to Israel as quickly as possible.

Last Monday morning, at around 4 a.m., Turkey was hit with a massive earthquake that to date has claimed the lives of close to 30,000 people. Many more remain trapped under the rubble.

On Monday night, in an operation dubbed “Olive Branch,” Israel began sending rescue workers and emergency medical responders to Turkey, led by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry and Israel Defense Forces. Teams from Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah also sent relief teams.

Israel also agreed to send humanitarian aid to Syria, as requested by Russia.

On Sunday, upon confirmation of the threat, the team packed up their equipment and gear and made hasty arrangements to fly home at the earliest opportunity. Due to a lack of available planes, philanthropist Dr. Miriam Adelson donated her private jet to fly the team back to Israel already on Sunday.

“We knew that there was a certain level of risk in sending our team to this area of Turkey, which is close to the Syrian border, but we took the necessary steps in order to mitigate the threat for the sake of our lifesaving mission,” Maisel said.

“Unfortunately, we have just received intelligence of a concrete and immediate threat on the Israeli delegation, and we have to put the security of our personnel first.

“We are extremely proud of what our team has accomplished in just a few days, assisting in the rescue of 15 individuals in cooperation with the IDF Home Front Command, Israel’s Search and Rescue units, local rescue forces, and the Turkish Red Cross,” he said.

In one case, for example, the United Hatzalah team, operating in sub-zero temperatures, saved a young girl trapped under debris for several days.

Maisel expressed gratitude to Adelson for “assisting us in bringing our people back quickly and safely.”

International Union Of Muslim Clerics (IUMS) Member:

The Jerusalem Terrorist Who Killed Seven Civilians Is A 'Hero'

And A 'Role Model'; The Quran Explicitly Calls To Wage Jihad

For The Sake Of Allah

Egyptian scholar Dr. 'Atiyya 'Adlan, a member of the International Union of Muslim Clerics (IUMS), which is backed by Qatar and Turkey, published an article on the union's website in which he praised Kahairi 'Alqam, the perpetrator of the January 27, 2023 shooting in Jerusalem in which seven Israeli civilians were killed.

'Adlan, who was the head of the Egyptian Salafi party Al-Islah during the Muslim Brotherhood rule in Egypt, congratulated 'Alqam for becoming a martyr and congratulated the 72 virgins who would marry him in Paradise.  'Alqam is not a terrorist but  "a hero who presented a model of Palestinian resistance and of resistance against any occupation,"
he stated, and added that the Islamic nation needs many more like him.

If Adlan really believed that Alqam was in paradise with 72 virgins, why wouldn't he have martyred himself years ago? Why? Because he knows Alqam is burning in Hell with the thousands of other fools who thought they were going to Paradise.

'Adlan also slammed the Arab and Muslim countries that had condemned the shooting and called it an act of terror against civilians. The Israeli "settlers", he wrote, "who came from all over the world to settle on Muslim land under the protection of an army," are not innocent civilians, and neither their lives nor their property are protected according to the Islamic shari'a. He concluded by stressing that the Quran explicitly calls to wage jihad for the sake of Allah and by urging the Muslims to support the jihad fighters.
